Coffee Cruelty (F/F)
« on: June 30, 2019, 12:23:55 am »

She stopped right in front of the large cafe doors, which seemed even higher than they usually were.

They looked heavier too, to her chagrin. Big and bulky and heavy and impossible to push inwards. She had to remind herself that it was just the nervousness settling in and over exaggerating her surroundings. Everything seems a lot worse when you're anxious, obviously. Maybe that's why breathing had become a little harder for her? Yeah. That made sense; a little worrying makes for lung-clogging problems. She took a moment in front of the door to just breathe and try and collect herself. She repeated her plans in her head and sighed. Go in, have a casual chat, ask the question, accept the response and move on. When that proved to hardly ease her anxiety, her mind traveled back earlier in time, to her earlier days of going to this building: Cozy Cream.

It was a simpler time then, or it seemed so to her; just occasionally stopping by in a less than happy mood without any caffeine to start her day. The coffee was great here, which was more than she could say for the other cafes in town that tried ro match the splendid quality of the sleepy little building. Soon the visits became more frequent, and with those visits to this haven of a place came the familiarity with the cafe's newest customer. Soon her go-to drink was recognized as a 'usual' whenever she walked in and the staff always gave it to her as fresh as they could make it. If she were relaying this recollection of her past to anyone, they would probably ask themselves why this woman was so nervous to enter a simple cafe shop. The answer? A certain Barista/Waitress.

It was nothing but casual talks in the early days, just two young women exchanging small talk and cheesy jokes. The more she stayed as time progressed, the longer the talks were and the more a connection was established. In the recent month of coming to the building, she came to realise that the waitress was possibly just the slightest bit interested in her. That was where the problem came, being that this particular customer didn't know a thing about how to actually progress anything from where they were now. Shd was stumped on what questions to ask, what things to do and...just everything in between. She finally convinced herself to determine the future on a single question. More of an invitation, really--to share an evening together somewhere. Not quite asking her out, just sort of a friendly get together.

She'd told herself that about fifty times before and never came close to going up to ask the waitress. But today, she was going to hope that forcing herself in didn't end badly. She breathed in sharply through her nose and entered.

Just an offer for a F/F slice of life, sort of a slow building romance thing starting off with the coffee scenario above! Willing fo play either role, and all one need to do to get into this is ask! I warn you, I'm a Novella writer and hope for a partner in the Lit. Range. I'd love to plot this out some more with you, whoever you are!
