Welcome, Amanda :-)

Thank you, Kuroneko :)

And Sage, you were suggesting her as a character ... I'm not super familiar with her. I'm gonna go look her up.

AmandaWho

Oh wow, that's the old Tessa character from the Hellfire Club. It looks like her character has gone through some redefining. I've been a bit out of the Marvel loop, it appears.

Re Z L

Nope, we haven't started playing yet, the spot on the team that's left to fill is "The Specialist" which could mean a whole lot of things I suppose.  It's kind of defined in the first post though  :)

Kuroneko

Yep, it's Tessa. Now she's a cyberpath. Sort of a human computer with unlimited storage capacity. She's a personal fave, but, My character isn't on the NA, and your question about who'd they'd like is a good one :-)

I wonder if she would be considered too well rounded to be a specialist. She's got the computer mind, some telepathic abilities, martial arts skills, and gun skills. She sounds like a jack of all trades sort, although the computer brainy part is her main deal.

She's also pretty brutal. She may not fit in well with the New Avengers (although I kind of like that pic of her I found on the internet holding the head of Cyclops she just decapitated lol).

Since it's an AU you can always focus on her brains ;)

That is true. Some characters I'm thinking of: Sage, Black Widow, Valeria Richards (grown up, alternate version, if they just want a smarty pants person), and I'm still looking at others.

Vergil Tanner

Hey there Amanda! I shall officially redact the opening to give you time to think of a character :-) Basically, the Specialist is somebody who might NOT have the most diverse or powerful superpowers, but has a specific skill or two that they use to make up for what they lack in pure power. It could be anybody from Black Widow - who specialises in spycraft - to Hawkeye - marksmanship - to Moira Mctaggart - super brainy - so you can choose anybody who "specialises" in one thing over everything else. If you need help deciding, I'm sure we can think of some possibilities! I know Alix really wants a brainy character to fill that sub-role in the NA, too, so that's something to consider. Since it's an AU, feel free to fudge their history and their specialities a little, so long as it remains recognisable as the canon character in question.

If you have any questions, Alix and I are right here to help you along :-)

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

Hereby voting for Felicia Hardy. >.> I love me some Black Cat. XD

I Mean Hot Dayumn!

Of course, she's more "cunning" than "Brainy" so that reduces the chances. XD But a man can dream, can he not? XD

Dear Lord.

Ms.Romanova would be rad.

Valeria would also be rad - she is an interesting character.

In the end, though, play what you want.

💕

Kuroneko

Mmmmmm, Stacy X. I played her before Marvel even deigned to give her a name. (pssst - I like the one I picked for her better ;) )

Trouble is, she's no good guy. She'd belong on the Wildcards.

But if you ever need a nasty guest villain ...  >:)

I'm going with Mercury, Cessily Kincaid. I think it's be more fun to play someone who isn't completely well known, and she's got an interesting history. I'll work up a sheet and post it a little later today.

I love Mercury. Nice choice :-)

Mercury looks fine to me! That does take our X-Men count to 4 overall, but after chatting with Alix, we agree that 1/4 of the cast being X-Men - considering how many heroes are mutants and how many bloody X-Men there are - is perfectly fine. :-) Especially since most Marvel games end up having at least 50% X-men. Usually more like 70% XD So 25% is more than reasonable, haha.

Seriously, though, I'm rather happy with the group we have here. ^_^

I'd be even happier if they all got their bios in, of course... >.>

If the NAs finish their bios first, it clearly is indicative of the fact that we're better.
