BK Geno

Just got some inspiration for a freeform game, so here I go...

Background:
An experiment just escaped from a government lab, on a world very similar to earth, except for a few BIG differences, that there are anthromorphic and beastille people walking around, with the same rights and abilities as the humans. There is also a lot more islands in the world, and less large landmass, as the continents have shrunk a bit, bit everything major is still where we leave it.

About the same technology, but has a few laser based weapons, as well as a few 'unique' goodies that the DM, me, might leave around for our victims... I mean, players.

Purpose:
To either get caught by the experiment and get that character tentacled for the rest of the game, or destroy the plant (or not, as the players try).

Each time they are successful, another plant grows from its 'lair' unless the players have found it, and destroyed it. And it only lairs in one spot, returning periodically.

Characters:
You can be anything you want, from a succubus, to an elf, to a full dragon, to a wolf man, whatever. You can do anything you want, from porn star to teacher to military to homeless bum. The plant could be anywhere, and strike at anyone, pulling the person in and feeding off its sexual energies.

If you just want to try the game, go ahead and post a character in, and let the plant catch the character. If you don't like it, don't make another character. If you do, either make a new one, or don't get caught.

Sound interesting, or should I lay off the drugs?

I will make a thread for it if I get enough interest. Probably 3 or 4 people.

Interest level so far/Interest level needed:
3/4

Chameleon

Drugs are bad...  but strange plants creatures aren't...

Or maybe I should see a shrink...

BK Geno

Hey, I don't do the bad drugs, these are the anti-ADHD drugs that the shrink told me to take, and even less than he did say to.

Chameleon

I was joking man, no worries.

BK Geno

Sorry, forgot that I am running on less than 3 hours of sleep for 30 hours, so sounding a bit bitchy in the text. That was entirely my fault. *goes to get some sleep*

Chameleon

Nah you weren't being bitchy,  the internet might just not be a good medium for failed attempts at humor.

schnookums

Damn, another game I'm interested in....although I gotta ask, if you get caught, is that game over for the character then?

BK Geno

Don't know, but it would be damn hard to get away, as the longer the beast is unknown the easier the prey would be caught. You would have to be pretty inventive to get away from it.

schnookums

Gotcha...so the characters are at least semi-disposable, I take it? Like, in the sense of expect there to be a good chance that you might have to make another one at some point?

BK Geno

Well, yes, this will be kinda like, you shoot at the target, and the target decides if it gets hit. You will not be fighting other players, but rather normal people going about their lives, until knowledge about the plant gets out, which will be within a hundred or so posts in game.

After that point, we will slip into more of a base system, which is being finalized at the moment.
Panic is ALWAYS an appropriate answer!

schnookums

Ah, that presents a quandry...as I would be the type to want to get caught...

BK Geno

Well, you can build characters that keep getting caught, if you want, making the plant bigger and badder.

Yes, that is what happens, the more it catches, the bigger it gets and the more it 'learns'. Until it eventually starts to think. At first it is a pretty base character, but will quickly evolve.

schnookums

Hmm...actually getting an idea here though, of tying two characters together...when one vanishes, the other goes looking for her...

BK Geno

Hell, you could have a family, with adopted kids if you want and they go looking for the last one that went missing. I honestly want to most perverted or hot, or lame ideas in the game, I think that is what makes this site so great, after all the free sex scenes.  :P

schnookums

Heh, funny enough my idea was a mother and daughter..mother gets caught, daughter goes looking for her

BK Geno

Bumpage for attention, and more interest.

Sethite

Sounds interesting, I think it's no hurt to try.

Still need another victim?  Oh, I mean player of course.  *shrugs*  Sheesh, what am I thinking... me playing a victim, heh.   ::)

BK Geno

Well, the more the better, and I will get a thread started later tonight, I hope. *crosses fingers*

I will post the thread here when it gets started.

Maybe we could share it?  I could be a daughter.

Okay, people, some bad news.

I am so burnt out right now that I cannot think of a good starting post. I hate getting this up, saying I will get a post up, and then sitting down to type it, and drawing a big fat blank card.

I will try to recover as fast as I can, and when the block is gone, I will post the link here.

I again apologize about the let down.

After all, it's better to wait if you don't feel ready than to play a bad game. But please let us know when you'll be, I could be fun to play this game.

AmberMK

Hey, I don't mind waiting a bit... no big deal.   ;)

BK Geno

Alright first thread later, within 14 hours, PROMISE!

I have my inspiration back, but just trying to decide how to get the opening thread post up. Style, and how it will catch its prey, your characters.

BK Geno

Okay, got the first post up faster than I believed possible, go crazy people with your characters. This is a freeform, but do have 'fate' give the plant a little time to deal with each victim, alright?
