Dreamcatcher
« on: February 07, 2016, 08:10:46 AM »
This thread is dedicated to telling about what dreams we had last night while in Morpheus' embrace. Comments from others are welcome though.

-------

I dream that I went from room to room, in some immense and fairly rundown place with lots of people everywhere. Some of these rooms held racks or heaps of old and dusty computer equipment. I was rattled, uncomfortable and looking for something but never could find it. The people I talked with were talking of leaving, or waiting for something to end so they could leave.

Comment: This environment was my living life for many years; I am a former Systems Administrator. Haha.

My last dream was me working in a place that sort of resembled my current job (a gas station) having merged and combined with my previous job (Wal-Mart).  The overall layout of the structure was Wal-Mart but certain things, like the placement of objects and what was outside the doors were laid out like the gas station.

A strange dream again last night. I not only saw it all from the outside like I was watching an old movie, but it was also entirely in black and white. First there were a number of men, drably clothed, drenched in the rain but rolling around in the mud as if they were very happy about something. Odd. Then there was a chinese factory setting, someone mentioning that great leader Mao Zedong had visited and made sparks. Then, some western entertainer was being made a money offer to do some kind of show; he was reluctant as the monetary amount was big by chinese standards but very small by what he was used to. But he took them. In the next he was wearing a lab coat and putting together some impressivelooking machine with lots of electrical current going through it, but it was understood somehow that the machine was bogus. Suddenly the power went haywire and the 'scientist' got fried; he was jerking wildly and smoke was coming off him. A bystander grabbed onto him and threw him into a water basin, which seemed to make things worse - he screamed as if he was cooking on the inside and smoke came out of his mouth, then slowly sank into the water.

And then I woke up.

Last night's dream was on familiar territory; the old family farm of my grandparent where my dad grew up too. It's eerily similar to Winnie The Poohs' forest. The old house is still standing and I am using it as a cabin.

The dream start with me in the cabin, looking out of the window toward the marsh. I notice something odd moving about: buffalos! And then, native indians riding horses among them. I get out of the cabin and go down there, then see the chief walking and go to talk with him, asking what they are doing there of old places. He explain that they had to leave where they used to be and decided to come here instead. Just then his second-in-command comes running with a cell phone, saying that there is an important conference on some island. I offer to set up Skype - and then I wake up.

It was a great dream. I wish I could see it on repeat.

Tonight's dream was a weird one. Not related to anything in my present life or in any experiences I have.

I dreamed that I was leaving some workplace for the day, and was in a hurry because I was going elsewhere. When I was arrived at the airport I noticed that instead of my leather shoes, I was wearing some old garish rubber boots. I wanted to do something about it, but just then a bunch of guys with weapons and head wraps came storming in. There were bombs and other things being placed out, I think cameras. I tried to do something to one camera but was seen, and tried to escape. I  got out of the airport and into an open place by a river, and was seen by the terrorists again. They released a pack of very vicious looking dogs after me, and I decided to lie down instead of run. The first dog came closer and closer, I vividly remember the angry face of it and the smooth thin brown fur, but I did not move and once it came beside me it stopped, sniffed at me and laid down beside me. Its fur was warm. The other dogs came near and circled nearby, but did not attack either. I laid there and had the weirdest feeling that I was sort of being owned, but also being protected. I did not enjoy the situation. Then a large machine passed me slowly. At first I thought it was a biplane driving on a very very tall undercarriage but then I could see that it was a big tractor with a fan mounted in the front. The wind from the fan was dislodging metallic items from the ground. Some time went by, the dogs became fewer and older and then there were none.  I was now standing beside an old broken tank. Then a couple of grunge looking guys showed up, and one of them held a proud speech about living free and having food to eat. To prove this he held out half a seagull.

I have started to keep a block of paper and a pen by the bed. I wake up and write down keywords. when I read them fully awake, they are only barely legible and not always even that. But it certainly seem to help on remembering the dreams.

Last night I got an unusual treat; a  zombie dream. As I write this I am still pondering if I should include the erotic elements as they were in parts... grisly. Hopefully I am not breaking any forum rules here.

Me and some other guy were looking at a muscle car; it was black and sleek. We broke into it, hotwired it and sped off on a highway. Police were following us, and we took off the road and into a rocky dust road that led along the beach. At this point, the radio started talking about a zombie outbreak, and the cop chasing us broke off and turned elsewhere. My nameless friend and I arrived at some rural little town by the sea, and came to a house where several women lived. We were welcome, familiar. There was group sex in various configurations. Then there were loud sounds from the outside, shouts of anger and banging. We went outside, and the street sides were being closed off by board walls. An angry woman said that this was so they could be safe. We went back into the house, but now the women were turning into zombies... but while their looks were corresponding to the zombie thing, their minds changed in a different direction. Sassy and aggressive, one might say. There was sex and violence, and blood and a lack of heads. About the last thing I remember is doing ... things down a headless, hollow neck.

Comment: I love zombie movies and Top Gear. But guro is firmly on my off list, so what the HECK?

Last night's dream. I am driving a car, along a dusty and narrow road. Suddenly there is a man standing in the road and I hit him. I look in the rear mirror, and a brown and red body lies in the dust. I drive on. Some time is passing, I am in a middle eastern country. I am trying to join one of the local guerrilla groups, but there is shooting, they turn out to be bad guys. Finally I find myself in a dark and narrow room with concrete, perhaps underground. There is light but maybe as much as you would expect from a single naked light bulb. But there is a coffee brewer there, and I and a small group of men are standing or rather huddling together. Drab clothes and short haircut, there is a sense of unity and cameraderie, but I cannot tell if we are people about to go do some kind of job together, or if we are prisoners about to be sent off somewhere. Unwillingness in their eyes.

Last night's dream. I and two others are wearing dark clothes, and are jogging determinedly along a railroad track in the middle of the night. Switch to a new scene, some kind of checkpoint. Grim looking soldiers in heavy coats holding long rifles, standing in front of a seated officer behind a table.; for some reason I think these guys are Turkish army. Incongruently, there are two small friendly dogs with long drooping ears sitting beside the table; one grey and one brown. We show papers and are let go. Third scene, we are on a train. The wagon appears to be made for livestock but it it empty except for us, I don't think we are supposed to be there. It is in the middle of the night again. As the train passes a close by forest we jump off and hide.

Oddball. I am at some sort of office workplace, wrapping it up for the day. A coworker comes sprinting with two small children in tow, asks me to take them home. I am not too hot on this but I say I will do it. I get them in the car, but am not sure where they live and the kids are too small to explain. We drive around. I try to get the mother on the phone but cannot reach her. Eventually we go to their kindergarten which I know where are, but that is closed for the day now. That dream seem to end.

Next however I am parking at a garage or toolshop or small factory of some kind. It is empty but for me and it feels like the place is mine. I walk around putting stuff in the right place, working a little on some part. Suddenly a guy walk in, nods and start doing stuff too. And another guy, and another, and the place gets full of people but noone are speaking with me. They seem generally friendly though. I am exasperated because i do not understand why they are in my work shop.

Finally, a separate image of a running bear. Kinda light brown, chasing something or someone but that isn't me.

Last night's dream was oddly well directed, somehow.

It starts by me reading an old book. Narrow yellow pages. There is a picture of an oval steel door. Next I am driving on a deserted asphalt road, through a landscape with cliffs and small houses by the road, the sea beach on one side. The feeling I get is that I am somewhere north in my country, by the coastline. I stop by one house, ring the bell, a woman who is neither young nor old answer. She lets me in. We go down into the basement, and there is the steel door from the book. There are cyrillic letters on it, Russian, and a lot of complicated locks with cogwheels and levers. The woman leave. I work with the locks, things move, and eventually the door opens. Inside there seem to be some kind of storage or bunker. I see WW2-vintage Russian stuff, but also German of the same period. There are boxes everywhere, many open, and paper is strewn about. It feels as if someone have been there before me but I can't tell if that is recent. But I find military items, uniform parts, cigarette packs, some guns. I inspect one of them, it has brass parts that move smoothly when I touch them. I stuff all I can find room for into a suitcase and leave. Next I am on an airport, waiting to check in. The suitcase bothers me. I have planned to take it on board in the cargo as usual, but I am worried and at the last minute I go to the post office and have it sent to my home address that way instead. Finally, I arrive home and the suitcase is waiting for me. I am joyous as I start unpacking.

I swear, this is the actual dream picture by picture and emotion by emotion as I remembered it when I woke up this morning.

Last night's dream was... bad. I am in a bar with another man, he shows me files with documents and pictures. Next I am in a house, with a woman and a child, a girl not yet a teenager. They are both mine. I need to do something, but do not want to. Some time passes. Finally I am standing behind the woman, she is doing something normal. I shoot her in her back, she dies. I feel terrible. Some time passes. I break down and tell the girl that I killed her mother. She tells me that she forgives me. We hug. I cry.

And then I wake up. I wish I could have forgotten this one before I left sleep.

A fragment from last night's dreams. I am in some sort of Asian cafe; at least everyone around me as Asian. Tables, food, coffee, that sort of thing. Busy. Outside it is dark, as if this is some kind of road stop. I am reading a newspaper, drinking coffee. But the odd thing is that everyone are rude. At one point one man actually rips a square off my newspaper because he needs something to write on, without any apologies. I don't feel hated or singled out, it's just this bad atmosphere.

Comment: I have actually been in Asia. No one were rude to me, ever.

A dream from a couple of night ago.

I am on a futuristic train, with a small group of people. I am driving or rather controlling the train by the help of a couple of instrument panels. Then I look out of a window on the side of the car we are in it, and look down at the river. There are boats there, a whole bunch of them, looking curiously like a school of small whales. Perhaps they are whales. Then inside the train there is a dragon chick, not bigger than a hen. Someone tells me that its name is "Brigham". I then show the group how to control the train, pointing to the instruments. I look back at the dragon, and it has grown in size until it is as tall as me and a good bit more muscular.

Last night's dream. I watch this entirely from the outside. There is a long low building made of wood, down by the shore of a river or delta. The building is very big, and it seem to be a sawmill. There are men working there, carrying long poles like cant hooks. Inside there is a messhall or something similar where workers sit by wooden tables. On a wall is a bunch of those long poles. The workers are wearing white sweaters or jackets, and shoulder straps. Some have very oldfashioned moustaches. Suddenly there are shouts of anger, people get up and grab those poles down from the wall and rush out. When they return, there is an empty space where one pole should be. The final scene is of a woman in a long skirt and jacket is reading something aloud for the men, in a sombre atmosphere.

Another weird night, and this one is definitely a 'me' dream. I find myself starting off on an army repetition exercise. I meet a few familiar faces from the army year and earlier exercises, and we laugh and comment on each other. Then we are doing a urban combat training thing through houses and co, with electronic marker guns. At one point I am cornered by a guy and a girl and go down, lying immobilized and prone as they approach to take my rifle. So far, all is by the book. But then they get my cell phone and they laugh as they say they will hang on to it as a "souvenir". I go livid. They move off, and after I can move again I pull a concealed and very illegal pistol from the back of my pants and hunt for them. The girl has my phone but I find the guy first and take him out. I don't remember how. Then I search for the girl through the building structure, send her to the ground and shove the pistol in her face while I get my phone back. I take out the SIM card, then throw the phone on the ground so hard that it shatters and say "Here's your goddamn souvenir." Then I leave.

And then I wake up.

Comment: I spent a year in the Norwegian Army when I was 19. Between then and until I was 30, I was on three ten day repetition exercises as part of large NATO exercises. Good times.

I know I dream, but it's rare for me to remember them.  Mostly it only happens when I wake during the dream, so the few I remember are usually in the morning

This morning, I dreamt I was dozing in my recliner (which I actually was) but it was in a different spot in the room.  The house, although mine, had subtle differences for some reason.  In the dream, I woke hearing noises of someone moving around.  I wasn't frightened, merely curious.  Turns out it was my ex, doing some repairs and such.  I was livid! He'd come in uninvited and unannounced.  I was glad to get the repairs made but very annoyed that he'd not even called to arrange it.  I didn't fly off the handle at him but I did firmly tell him that behavior wasn't acceptable.  He seemed truly puzzled about it.  Sheesh!

Last night's dream. I am at my cabin, outside, watching a bear or similar brown animal play around at some distance. Then I notice a boy, maybe 10 or 12, walk around dressed in fur clothes. We talk, but I don't remember about what. Then we walk through some hills and arrive at a small beach in the fjord; there are a few small houses there. But in the water about half a dozen military landing vessels are coming onto the beach. Most of them let loose soldiers and trucks who move on in. Noone's shooting so it is probably an exercise. But one vessel appears to have trouble, it is on the beach but noone's coming out, there is some kind of engine issue from the noise. A few soldiers look out over the side of the vessel and says something funny. Dream ends.

A little fragment from last night's dreams.

I am in a plane. There is some sort of electronic device, spelling doom for the plane - a remote control device, a bomb. But there are almost no one in the plane. I am running through the empty cabin, a gun in my hand. But I am not one of the hijackers. I get to the cockpit and talk briefly with the pilot. Soon after we are landing, not on an airport but a city street or arena of sorts. There are many people there; many are lying face down on the ground covering their heads in fear.

A puzzling dream last night. I walk in a street, pass by an antiques store and enter it. Inside the goods are well presented but I only see traditional items like farming tools and food plates, the usual. Then, in a narrow corner, I find a couple of old uniforms hanging. White, with thin black stripes. Old winter camos with related extra gear. Very old; ww2 vintage at least. Which is as easy to find as chicken teeth and shark hats. I talk with the shop owner and discuss them with him, then put them on. They fit. Then hey says: "Right, off to (garbled" and I am suddenly in a different place, with at least six others in identical gear who look as if they have been waiting for me. There is some kind of ceremony, either a test or an initiation or both. Which gets really weird after a while; for instance we are throwing bottles at one point. And the more stuff like that happens, the less one of them I feel.

Last night's dream. I was outside at the cabin, as in other dreams. Watching bears, young ones, frolic in the open field. Then a massive pine tree falls, the tip almost touching my feet. There are people laughing at me, and not in a nice way; they have cut down the tree and are cutting down many others. They are building a wide road or gate through the hills and forests. I am angry. I have a revolver in my hand, I can see it close up with the brass cartridges being put into it. I am firing, but at the infrastructure of that road and not at people. I go into a cafe, and two men are gesturing toward me. When I leave, they follow after me. Then we meet outside and talk, and they end up agreeing with me rather than fighting me. We went to a what I think was a train wagon, hiding behind a coffee machine. Then we all go to a third place, a strange fortress island where people were chained to the outside wall standing waist deep in the water. One of the prisoners turned to greet me; I did not know him but it seemed he knew me. There was a cruel woman there who seemed to be the boss, and a young man with black hair who acted like he was an officer of the place.

Last night's dream had an unusual setting. This one was seen from the outside, too. A group of warriors were celebrating something, I think a battle. Just a dozen men at most. The equipment they wore reminded me of greek or roman soldiers. But one of them was very unhappy, as if he had had a personal loss of face or something dishonorable had happened to him. Suddenly he took all his weapons, a whole bunch of them, in both his arms and threw everything down into a ditch. There was a sudden silence among the other. He rejoined them at their table. But there was one other man there at the table, who was grinning quietly in his black beard. Before him lay one of the other man's weapons, a sword. Looks were exchanged but noone said anything about it.

And then I woke up.

Belle33, I think on the balance I am the better for the dreams. I get to go new places and see new things, sometimes be a part of events too. I guess it compares a bit to sleeping in front of a turned on TV. Waking up screaming or exhausted is very rare now.

Two big, separate dreams last night. Both had a 'from my eyes' viewpoint.

In the first dream, I am out to buy a car. And I come across a real muscle car. Dark green body, fat blue stripe along the middle, towering engine. But someone else is ahead of me, an older man - and by older I mean older than myself. He buys it. But as he takes it for a spin, he offer me a ride. I have no idea what happens next. But the next image is of me walking comfortably and naked around in his grand home. A friend of him comes in, he turns around on his heel when he sees me and is gone. But I am exploring a strange wall in the house; it is of stone and has carved images. I ask the older man if this is freemason stuff and he says yes, and then I poke at two symbols at the same time and the wall opens. Inside there is a room full of antique items. The dream ends.

In the second dream, I am someone in a different kind of world. I have a house, a wife, a child (all strangers to the awake me) and we are all slave minded. We have no independent thought. All go do what they are supposed to do, when they are supposed to, and nothing else. There is a lingering feeling of lack of freedom. And the sky has a strange hue. Then I go to a store, and all act like machines. But then... something is happening in the sky. There are sprays of colors, as of tiny meteor swarms hitting the atmosphere, and my brain start feeling different. As if some great controlling power is losing its hold. Others feel it too, there are people crying, talking, voices raised. I talk with the shop keeper and drag her out to watch the fireworks, and she goes in again to let her colleague see it too. I move on, talk to people. And I see a man fill a cart with things; I ask him what it is. He says that he has decided to move and to sell off his things, and there is confusion and happiness in his face that he is daring to do such a thing on his own. That he is free to do so. Then also this dream ends.

A very short dream from last night. A brief battle scene, in whose center there was a warrior woman. Long hair, long chainmail, sword in her hand. A swarm of warriors, holding spears. Then, a stone wall as if in a cave, and two of those same spears standing crossed against that wall. Only now those spears are ancient and rusted.

A long and personal-view dream last night with an unusual amount of emotions.

The dream starts on top of a large building overlooking a fairly open landscape in the middle of the day. There seem to be work in progress on top of it; there are hoists, jacks, wooden crates and tools. But work is not what is going, because the dozens of people standing on the roof do not appear to be worker; more like a random group of people with a purpose. Because we are all looking at some kind of enemy force closing in on us. Not people, and not zombies either - more some kind of scaly humanoid monsters. And we the humans are arming ourselves with what we can find; I have found a heavy three foot long monkey wrench which feels like it has a good heft to it.

Almost at the edge of the roof top there is some kind of safety rail meant for the workers, maybe four feet tall. Everyone is standing inside it except for one. A young woman, maybe 18-20 years. She wear black closely fitting clothes and long jet black hair and stand on the very edge with crossed arms watching us rather than the enemy . I go to the rail, grin to her and tell her "You are pretty brave to be standing there like that." What she replies I can't tell, but I am acutely aware that she moves to press against the same rail, our bodies separated only by an inch of metal, and whispers her word so close to my lips that I can feel her breath.

Impulsively I lean forward, grasp her by the shoulders and give her a firm kiss. This is clearly not what she had in mind, she pushes me angrily away, turns decisively and jumps off the building. It is not a suicide; there is a bathing pool down there and she hits it. I am very confused though. But we have other things to focus on, and the badly armed group starts filtering down the building - a school? a conference center? - to defend it; the enemy is already penetrating the defenses. I pass a number of rooms and doorways, and see various groups of people; children, elderly. Some are scared and others strangely calm. In one room a teenage girl sits knitting, surrounded by guinea pigs and rabbits - and a few badly infected, aggressive rats. I tell her to kill those and move on.

In the hallways chaos reigns; people run in all directions. One of the monsters come running, and a few of us who have weapons deal with it. Then I see the black dressed girl again, I do not see her fight or carry weapons but she moves with clear purpose. I talk to her, more cautious this time, but I cannot recall awake what was said between us this time. I feel rejected though. The battle continues but I do not see her again.

The latest weird dream that I remember happened some time ago now.

I was in a cave, a mine with a couple of friends and some random people that I don't really know, but I've definitely know the faces. We were digging, making the tunnel longer. It was dark, the air was heavy. One time I've been working a giant machine, some sort of a mining drill, other time I was loading some debris or planting explosives to move the rocks. After some time of doing my job, everyone was called for a meeting in the other end of the tunnel. We had to elongate it, although we have found a very hard rock that left us hopeless. Nothing that we had managed to break it, the drill broke, the explosives did literally nothing. Later, we've found out that it was a continental crust, we were waiting for a shipment of high-power boom-booms. Then, I woke up, not knowing whether we have gotten through it or not.

Another one.

I was a mercenary, on a contract for some long-dead lord's descendants. I was supposed to search the ruined castle for the lord's belongings. After a haul, I've returned to a sort of quarters for the workers. The job wasn't easy, mind you, as the ruins were filled with monsters, skeletons, mutants and ghouls. I have entered our private room and seen a girl that I know by sight, I might've talked to her for a couple of times, nothing more, she is the skinniest person I've ever seen. Literally, her legs look like chopsticks. She is usually very laid-back and neutral to everything that happens around, although I tend to call her (when I'm mentioning her while talking with my close friends) 'Wednesday Addams', because her black hair, dark clothes and the fact she usually wears a baphomet necklace has somewhat made the connection between that character and her in my weird brain. Anyway, she just greets me, and I'm quite shocked, as she just randomly appears in my dreams every now and then. Is she a dream-manipulator or something? I dunno. She just tells me to stop staring at her, lay the artifacts on their resting places and either restock to go back to work or go rest. Weird, quartermaster girl that I barely know. She has always played some minor character in the dreams she was in. I personally think she is pretty, aesthetically pleasing, she just has this something in her, that might be the reason.

A dream, so atypical me that it feels like I stole it.

Ahem. Definitely a first point view. And I feel like I might be 20-2 years old. I am at a entertainment place; something like a tivoli or movie theater with an animal theme. And I am there on a date too, with a very shy girl. Long black hair. She might be muslim or if middle eastern heritage? We do a ball throw game or something, and she wins a small black robot penguin. For some reason she is uneasy and says 'Zoo false; fear true'.We sit down waiting for something to start, maybe a stage show and something goes wrong: two young men arrives and they want to talk with the girl. I get an unpleasant feeling from them, especially the big guy who is the leader,  and feel unwanted. I go to the bathroom. When I come back, they are all gone and only the girl's toy remains in her seat. I start running. Neat the exit I see the same two young men, heading out. I think the sidekick is pulling the girl with him. There is only one thing to do. I walk right up to the main guy and butt his face with my head; he goes down. The other guy pulls a submachinegun but I kick him in the groin then meet his downward-going face with my knee, then throw myself at his gun while I yell "KIDNAPPERS! CALL POLICE!" and the gun is still in the sidekick's hand and keeps firing and firing until the magazine keeps empty, pouring its hail of lead into the bad guy leader. The girl is shouting at me.

And then I wake up.

I dreamed last night that I was in a house with several floors, of which the lowest was the ocean itself - kind of a house built onto the ocean floor, sticking up. There were many people there; swimming and diving in the sun and the blue water over the golden sand. There were small whales too - and dogs, swimming around. In one place a whole bunch of kids were playing some sort of game with an adult supervisor in a wet suit.

I was standing in a door opening of sorts, looking down into the water when an actual skunk came swimming up. It insisted on climbing on to me to nestle in my arms. I was not sure what to do but other people in there started keeping a respectful distance.

Last night's dream was disturbingly coherent. I found myself in a military surplus store - entirely plausible for me so far - and got involved with talking to some of the staff and the other customers. Turned out that some of the customers were involved in purchases for various small military-style units; reenactors and paintballers, the usual lot. But also another group, which I then found myself visiting. This turned out to be some sort of militia group, a militia or rebels, in a country in the middle of civil war. They seemed to be not very well organized. There were narrow rooms, people with guns running around and shouting, dressed in a mixture of civilian and military clothes, garbage and crates strewn about. I saw one of their cranky old blue and grey helicopters get shot down - and then I joined them, or decided to support them. In the dream I told them, word for word, that "you guys are bad but not anywhere near the worst." I do not recall what happened next, but after that I recall clearly going back to my own country to meet my relatives. And I had the oddest, strong feeling of not belonging there, not feeling understood. The only thing I wanted was to go back to my comrades. But when I was returning, something had fatally changed. I was stopped at the airport by police, and interrogated. They had no intention of letting me continue my travel. I think the dream ended there.

A fragment of a dream. I was in a city, boxed in from the encircling rivers by walls that seemed to be of some kind of mud. The odd part was that in the wall here and there were human skulls; their nose holes were odd though. And there was some kind of system with pebbles being put into the walls by the population at certain but different times of the year, so that always someone were adding to and maintaining the walls.

Mad dreams last night - but so detailed! And all in exquisite first person view.

First, I was at some kind of school or college, but I was there under false flag - pretending to be some kind of advisor. I was walking around looking for something or someone, and was badly embarrassed to be drawn into a discussion with some students who wanted my help with something. Then there was a woman, walking around talking with people and seeming authoritative. I may have talked with her. Then a new scene which felt like far away from the school. A hotel? That woman was there, as well as a few other people. We then had an intensely awkward attempt at an orgy which felt more like a Lego session.

Then I am elsewhere again and on a boat, and this seemed like a small living room belonging to someone of quite a bit of class, someone I evidently knew as I was waiting for him. Mahogany furniture, classing paintings on the wall, everything in the room well put together in rich black and golden. And on the writing desk, a costume ball mask... When the owner arrived in the early morning, a well built man with a kind face and perhaps in the fifties wearing a suit, I felt clearly an attraction toward him like he was an old lover. The kind of type you'd expect to be an actor or upper class gentleman? But while he recognized me and greeted me, it was obvious that this was not a good time for me to be there. And shortly after a somewhat younger man arrived who was equally good looking and quite surprised to find me there as well.

Then, a huge leap to elsewhere, which felt distinctly eastern european and rural. Lonely roads. But the two guys were traveling with me, in an old black classy car. We were stopped by uniformed men who forced us out; soldiers or police. Next I know we are in a prison, but the younger companion is gone. Brutal guards... but the fellow inmates were worse. Much worse. We were in a badly lit room, hardly dressed, and one inmate did something terrible to my older companion's genitalia with a pen. Then he turned toward me and wanted to repeat the operation, but I had a nail or screw or something hidden in my right hand and was able to take him out.

This is where I woke up, and I can't say I am sorry.

WARNING: Nightmare of the really ugly kind.

I was a mid level leader or senior operative in some kind of government secret law organization. There were large dark halls the size of hangars, brightly lit cells, and people walking about busily. I was wearing a suit.

In one of these halls there was a man. He looked like a senior politician or lawyer perhaps, judging by his clothes and age. He presented a case; his little daughter was missing and he suspected the housekeeper, a blonde white woman. We brought her in and tried to question her; it was obvious that she knew something and that she was determined not to talk about it. Rough questions didn't get us anywhere. So we tied her up like a mummy and hung her up to dry for a while; total sensory deprivation.

Meanwhile we were informed that things were even worse than they looked at first; other children were missing as well and the same housekeeper might be involved - and possibly also she may have had companions. Now we were in a real hurry.

So I had the housekeeper unwrapped, and approached her with a whirring, small electrical surgical saw. I told her that she had ten fingers and that I was going to give her a total of ten chances to tell what had happened and where the kids were - and that each wrong answer would cost her a finger. That was when she lifted a little finger towards the saw and let the blade claim her nail cut by cut all the way down. And she turned toward me, smiling, and said that she was willing to sacrifice herself for her cause. I put the saw away and thought of other ways to approach the problem.

And then I was IN her head. In her mind, her memories, poking about in her spotless white kitchen. And there was the little girl, playing inside a cupboard. There were other children playing too, and a couple of adults - but those were locked inside rooms, screaming and trying to get out. And then there was the housekeeper herself as well, she was chasing me with a big knife. Now there was a fire going on too. I grabbed the little girl and one of the other children and headed for what appeared to be the exit door.

And then I woke up.

I have not been remembering much of my dreams lately. But last night they returned in force.

First dream, which is by now a blur of a blur. I was first day in a factory, rooms and machinery, and the people were acting very awkwardly. And so was I; I had not been given any actual tasks and just wandered around. There was a meeting. The boss was short, balding and wearing round glasses and a smirk. He was explaining how even more people would have to have their tasks removed because there weren't any. Then there was more walking around in the rooms, and I think there was talk of killing somebody to stop something.

The second dream, which I remember best. I was in a corridor at some kind of school - and it felt strongly like a Japanese school. I was minding my own business when a ghost shows up. Not a particularly ancient on, just a slender guy in maybe his 50s and a sword fighting master. I know that because that is how he presented himself to me. His hair was in a round, maybe frizzled style, and his body was sort of there and not there. In the end of the corridor was a bunch of furniture and other items; couches, shelves, clocks, and a maybe five feet long thin bag. The ghost explained that it was for two things; the training sword and the stick which was holding the big round sparring clock (is there even such a thing?). I started to look around for those things when a young Asian girl in school uniform came by, she seemed busy busy and was carrying a couple of small swords or long knives herself. She helped me look and located the round clock which was missing, and at that two MORE girls came by - those were hostile, but they went off. There were two leather holsters with zippers for her blades. The ghost was trying to tell me something about swords and the first girl was butting in. Then a teacher came by, laughing - she was carrying a calculator, a revolver and a small knife and explained that for once the students had followed every word she had said. I got hold of a long knife, its blade maybe three times hers, and she let go of her weapons when she realized she could not get to hers.

And then I woke up.

From last night's dreams: It is raining. We are muddy, weary soldiers standing in a field without too much order. We are not young, not vibrant, not ready for battle. But not strangers to each other either. Our uniforms are simple and crude, and we wear some kind of hats rather than helmets. We are waiting to be issued weapons.

The officers are quiet, anxious and reasonable. The sergeant I see is not; he is a big guy yet tries to dominate the group with a loud voice. I speak with one of the officers; he has a large mustache. He is pleasant company.

We get our weapons. Some get guns; they are old, worn and of different types. Some seem to not even be working. Others get just bayonets or stabbing weapons. I end up with a long bayonet mounted on some kind of pole. We go into some kind of inn or barrack and drink alcohol from bottles. There is a trade going on as the more eager soldiers try to get the better weapons. The sergeant simply confiscates several of the best guns and goes away with them; he sells them to the officers afterwards.

A funny one for a change. I dreamed that I was walking when I discovered a new way to walk - by simply putting my feet in a particular position and leaning forward exactly the right amount, I could slide forward without moving my feet further. On any kind of surface, and uphill.... As others on the road saw me doing it, they started doing the same thing.

A story this time.

I dreamed that I owned a luxury car; some kind of vintage red open sports car of some curvy model. It was so nice that when the king visited my local area, his people loaned it from me so he could be in some parade with it. Which was special enough, but then I saw him get off it at the far end of the parade and military people drove it away. Fair enough. So I went to the nearby garrison to get it back. But they did not seem to know where it was. I hung around for a while though; everyone were were nice and we talked about military stuff but they seemed a bit uncomfortable for some reason. And I really, really wanted my car back. I eventually went down to their garage and started to sniff around, followed by one soldier. Obviously there was mostly military stuff down there but not everything. I eventually found something big and red that was taken almost completely apart, that might or might not have been a car like mine. As I found the engine number and a company address from a tag and started to write it down, the soldier beside me murmured that it wasn't necessary - my car would be back in a day or two. It turned out that a couple of soldiers had taken my car for a little holiday joyride!

And then I woke up.

An amazing one this night.

I found myself following my father into a mountain area, some place where I had not been since I was a child. We came to some old dilapidated buildings where there was old machinery. I suddenly recognized where I was, went to look under an awning and pulled out some old comic books I had put there forty years ago. I kept looking around though; there were cables, electric gear, blue walls, plastic helmets. Turned out that it was an old and long disconnected water electricity plant, and that now it was going to be put into use again. I could see the pipes leading the water down to the lake on the other side. Then, I was on the other side of the lake with a grizzled electrician; we were holding an old and crude blue rectangular device that looked like a reading meter of some kind. I lamented that there were so few buttons and functions but the guy beside me said that it was enough for the task.

And then I woke up.

A strange dream last night, in black and white and from an older time than now. Edwardian?

A nightclub. There were men in formal black suits, and women in ornate dresses, and loneliness. And then there was Lola; frizzled dark hair, short and slender and shy, who danced with men after turn. I bought her a drink. We talked, briefly. Then she passed on, but I had learned her name. I left, walked the streets. Took a long elevator ride with a tall man with a hard face who looked as if he slept there; we shared a cigarette on the ride up and it eased the tension. Then I was back in the nightclub and looked for Lola again, but when I saw her she was on another man's arm. She danced on.

The dream ended there.

Last night I found myself in a hotel room with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards from Rolling Stones. We were sitting in couches around a small table with a few groupie girls, and were drinking whisky poured into big milk type glasses. One of the girls seemed quite friendly to me. Then we went joyriding in the hotel elevator and bullied young guys in suits.

Then I woke up.

Oh great... A thread about dreams.  Here is where all of my RP partners run away screaming...

Thankfully last night was just a variation of the standard issue "A Monster is chasing you and you cant run for shit" type dream

A sentient, smart assed vacuum cleaner with a bad temper was chasing me.  It wasn't even all that big but I was terrified for some reason...
After that I was eating bacon and eggs with a 20-something Rita Hayworth in Paris...  Yeah.  Hmmm.

A night busy with dreams. But one was vivid in particular. I was parking outside where I supposedly lived, when I managed to slightly hit a car that that parked and standing partly into the parking area. I knew who it belonged to, and was quite unhappy about it. Eventually I was on the door of said person and was let in; a number of other people were there already and they were grinning evilly at me. We discussed the cost of the repairs. One of the older guys in there turned out to be a lawyer and gave me a bill of exactly 8500 dollars. I protested as that wasn't the price of a repair of a dent but the price of a used car. The owner agreed, still grinning evilly. I said "Just shoot me already." He brought a pistol from the back of his pants and pointed it at me. I just looked at him, feeling nothing but relief. He pulled the trigger and there was a bang. But I still felt nothing, and he looked at me and at the gun in disbelief. Then a woman shouted out "He isn't meant to die!" and I leaped at the shooter, wrestling for the gun - I swear I could feel the cold metal against my fingers IN THE DREAM - until I got control of it and then shot him while he was on the floor.

And then I woke up. Do note that even though Norwegian is my first language, every spoken word in this dream was in English. Odd.

An unusual dream this night.

I was on a road station or inn of some kind. There were people sitting by the tables, waiting to be fetched or to move on. On the floor was a lot of rubbish and papers. I saw a handful of postcards and out of curiosity I picked them up, then froze when I noticed something familiar and realized that they were for me. The first one, which I read, simply had my name on it and simply said... well, it was something more personal than I want to post on E. That was when I understood I could find more messages. I rose up and told the others by the table there were letters down there if we wanted them and I could help. Some said no thanks but a few said yes. Those sat down with me on the floor, and then there seemed to be bits of information all around us. A letter to said person with a title as well as a name. Packages with stuff in them. Fragments of uniforms, photos. Some was good and some was bad. But no one who wanted to, looked in vain.

It wasn't so much last night as while ago.

I can't remember what happened in the dream except a crow found me there. I knew his name.. knew him and it was like he hadn't seen me in a long time. There was this feeling of true happiness because he'd found me again. He was a big, black crow. :) I don't think he was a raven.

The dream kind of stayed with me. My grandmother had a pet crow, but I don't remember dreaming about him since then. I was going to write his name down and I forgot it. It was like it was on the tip of my tongue but I couldn't quite remember. Now it keeps coming back to me again and again and again. It feels like that wasn't just a dream. I'd write his name down  but being pagan myself, it's kind of like 'names have power' and it isn't mine to tell. But I do know his name. I'm going to ask my mother when I talk to her next if my grandmother's crow had a name.

At about ten minutes from my place there is a large intersection that connects the good part of the city to the bad one. The main street is lined by graveyards on one side and a rather wild park opposite to them. I still remember the place the way it was thirty years ago, filled with abandoned construction sites that look like concrete skeletons partly exhumed. A strong wind is ever present in my memories, always pushing down a shadowy avenue, towards the bad part of the city.

I was right on the corner of that avenue, enduring the wind as I waited for the tram to turn and pick me up, when my phone rang. The number belonged to the one good friend that I had in this life. He died about one year ago, either directly due to the surface and inner burns caused by a chemical flame, or to the horrific conditions in our hospitals. I cannot remember the exact conversation, but I think he said he is very sorry for what happened and that he would like to see me again. I told him that I am sorry as well, but things are the way they are and, at least for the time being, a reunion is impossible.

***

It is not the first and probably won't be the last time that I talk with those who should be in eternal rest. I don't have words to describe how unnerving it is. My skin is crawling to the point that it feels like it's about to tear itself off and run away. I wish I had deeper knowledge about the sectors of the brain that cause these dreams. I would very politely ask them to stop.

This is a dream I wish I had written down as soon as I woke up this morning. Now many details are gone but some still linger.

I was in a forest. Not so thick, but more marsh like with single trees here and there. Gloomy. Then I saw someone coming my way; a column of ragged men. They seemed like prisoners of war wearing roughly the same type of ruined uniforms, walking dully forward without noticing me. I waited until the column had passed me, then moved into their path. In the water nearby there were little pieces of the greenish and indelible ends of carrots and other root pieces; the remains from when some meager meal had been made for those men.

The next bit I remember, I was standing in front of a Russian officer - he definitely felt Russian. Old uniform style, long leather boots, visor hat, the works. And he boasted of something, waving his hands and laughing, and we seemed to be negotiating over something. I was given a paper with letters on which I was supposed to bring somewhere to someone. I looked at the paper but couldn't read the text.

And then, or soon after, I woke up.

The dream I just woke up from. It was all one dream but feels more like jigsaw puzzle pieces.

There was a war or something going on. I was in some facility testing and trying to find suitable recruits for something special. There were two recruits there and they were good healthy individuals but not what we had looked for.

Then me and a male friend or colleague were on an errand in the streets, taking a shortcut between some houses. On a back porch were two women sunbathing. They called out to us as we passed, and we stopped and talked. Eventually we went inside with them and there was vigorous sex. A shaving razor was involved at some point.

When I returned to the facility a man was following me. I was not sure at first but when I stopped and peeked after turning a corner, I saw him climbing over a gate that I had locked. He eventually came inside the facility and attacked me, but I had prepared with some kind of weapon or trap and I captured him. Then others came to help.

That woman from the porch returned though, and we went to meet her folks. Out in hillbilly style country. There were wooden sheds and wooden houses, and old yet disturbingly cunning folks sitting inside reading books. I was welcome but very much an outsider.

And then I woke up.

Last night's dream was disturbing; what little I recall of it anyway.

Demons were flying through the city streets; I and a close relative were fleeing from them for while. Then two men appeared, moving with great determination. They appeared to be leading the demons forward. We hunkered down long enough to make a spell which ripped into the air like an artillery barrage and took down some of the demons; then we fled on. The two men had also been hit and were shedding pieces of human skin, revealing flames inside.

Last night's dream.

I was arguing with a man. His head was shaven bald and he was agitated, and he was also holding a gun in a threatening way. Even so I was feeling sympathy for him. Then while we were arguing there was a sudden and startling movement beside us, maybe a bird, and he shot me. The bulled must have just barely snagged me as I was bleeding but not incapacitated, and we continued to talk.

I rarely dream about people I know personally. Who I never dream about at all are famous people. Last night however, I found myself arriving at a strategy meeting. With Adolf Hitler, and a few of his top people. Yeah. I was wearing a dark coat with a golden badge of some kind, there were other people there who distinctly felt like officers and administrator, and then there was Adolf himself. However he felt nothing like the stale old guy from the old official pictures and movies. THIS guy was vibrant and eager, firmly in control and keeping things in motion. His clothes were youthful and the whole person felt young and energetic. I felt uplifted just being near him. And yet it definitely was AH. We discussed some policies and papers. Then the group of us moved to a warehouse and inspected some sort of clothes or uniforms; not for personal use but to be chosen for mass production.

And then I woke up.

A nonsensical dream last night, but the images were so clear. I am on a white beach along with other people, when there is a shout. "Look! There is is the rocket!" I look up into the clear blue sky and see something like barrels on the same trajectory, eight of them. One of them falls to the ground nearby. We are a small crowd of people wanting to see but hiding behind something as we are afraid it might explode . Then a group of soldiers in white uniforms arrive, and they deal with it.

Then I woke up.

I've had a few head-hopping dreams lately, like I was different people and I could feel what it was like to be them. I don't remember much except I remember being a gay man who was youngish, in his 20s, and who pronounced dinner as 'tea' because he was going out for it. :D

This morning I dreamed someone called my name and it woke me up. Sometimes that happens and I usually try to take that to mean it'll be a big/significant day in some way, but it may be because I make it one.

I decided to rest for a few minutes (just a few mins ago) and I started to drift off to sleep. Images often come when I do that, and there was a white goose. I didn't fall fully asleep and I got up again.

I had a vivid dream where I was in a space colony that looked like our world, it was so vast. A bit like Firefly, some areas were lower tech (or out in the middle of nowhere) and others were modern-day tech. There was some kind of battle or incident, and the air processors were failing. It had become a bit harder to breathe and one woman told me they were down to 23%. It was known among the population that if they couldn't escape (which was unlikely to happen) or the air processors weren't repaired (someone had to come from another world to repair them, which would take time), everyone would suffocate.

I was with Hairy in the dream, and we'd escaped some bad guys who I think were holding us back from trying to get away. Hairy had all but given up because the vehicles were gone that mysteriously appeared for us 'each time we arrived in a new place' and we were out in the middle of nowhere, but I told him they might still be there or we could walk. We shouldn't give up! We ended up in the city we're in. We followed the paths of synchronicity (it was my idea) after I had a flash of a man who had something to do with a unicorn), and I ran where instincts led me (Hairy too) and I found him, only there were two women and a man with him, and one stepped in and talked to me instead. She gave me another piece of information, and we headed down toward a book store (that isn't where it was) that sold stickers (why they'd be open when the world was ending, I don't know). That's where I got an update on the air processors and talked to a homeless man who wished me 'good luck, friend'.

We were looking for the next clue, which we needed stickers for. Hairy wanted to go check out the sci-fi/fantasy section, which for some reason was upstairs in this bookstore. I told him not to go, that I needed him to help me with the stickers.. and I was looking for them when I woke up.

In a way the air processors were failing. I woke up with asthma.

A restless night with strange dream, several of them.

I found myself in a room with three other men. We were all dead tired but elated. One other man and I was lounging on a couch, talking happily in a low voice. In the far end of the room were two other men, standing talking in front of a blackboard while writing on it. Eventually we left and stood outside an inn, and the mood went darker as some other party clearly did not want us in there. We went in anyway. The furniture was rough hewn and the clothes we wore seemed medieval, maybe a bit later. It was the members of the other party I felt most clearly. One went near us, and tried to lift a heavy barrel to perhaps throw or roll at us. I kicked at one of his legs and he collapsed under the barrel with a crushing noise. Then another hostile man appeared, he stood beside us and talked angrily. But I noticed he was having some kind of peppery powder in his hand which he tried to sprinkle on our food, and we forced him to eat it and sent him off. Finally a woman from the same hostile group came close to us. She seemed far from hostile but when she tried to come close to us we saw the sharp ends of spikes or needles protruding through her garment. We held her, turned the garment around so the spiked poked inward and pulled the garment back around her. At this point the remaining hostile persons ran out and away, and we were angry with the inn staff for having allowed this attack. They ran off as well, but in retaliation we plundered the area behind the desk. There was nothing of real value but we took some bottles and small stuff to show our anger. By now the other visitors were agitated and scared, but as we left they started to settle down again quietly. And there were guards arriving but they stayed away from us.

A new dream. Different time and setting. I was wearing some simple uniform, a shirt and pants and maybe a tie. I was in the living room of a mature woman, several other women of varying age actually. The room had windows and mirrors and dark walls and classic furniture in black and dark brown. It was dark, as if it as evening or the lamps were sparsely lit. I danced with them one at a time and had some polite conversation. The first was grey of hair, wearing a black conservatively cut sweater, and she was smoking a cigarette. Then I danced with two or three more; the one I remember vividly was younger than the others - and she had a badly damaged face, like she had survived an explosion. The scars did not stop her from having a more provocative manners than the rest. She said something, I replied, she slapped my face, I slapped hers, and then we danced on.

There was a third dream, between these two, and the only thing I remember clearly is the moment it was erased from my memory. As if there as a sudden hole and something big was gone that I could see the moment earlier. Odd.

Had an interesting one last night, with very vivid colors. I was walking through a cone-tree forest in what appeared to be full summer, when a storm began to gather. It looked very menacing, the clouds were so heavy and shifted in color from cobalt grey to this really weighty black with emerald shimmers. I found this large raven on the ground. It was scared and couldn't fly. It had this really big beak and I was sure approaching it would be bad news, but I did it anyway. I picked the bird up and found it surprisingly light and very soft to the touch. Then I saw this old castle in the distance and said we'd best take shelter there. I got to the place right before the storm fell, but can't remember what happened after that.

Really nice, I want more.

This happened to Lady F a while ago...

She just woke up, wet and fervent, she has been dreaming of him the entire night… she doesn’t remember a thing, apart from being extremely provocative… but, oh, that glow upon her happy face: yes, her heart remembers it all. She woke up with sparks in her belly, she desires him more than fruit or drink, and this night she has been satiated.

How – she does not remember, but she begged for it with every cell of her body. Unlike most of the time, when she submits… the remnants of this dream bear a strike of dominance on her part, she really did him well…Her sensuality awakened by the dream,  she shines… and the weirdest thing is she woke up ready to make love to him since what happened in the dream wasn’t enough, she still wants him.

She wants him for an entire day without a minute of  break, her belly is melting., her eyes are slowly closing, to keep the shine that comes from them, she feels delighted from answered prayers, she needs his kisses  badly, her body burning from their touch, the stinging voice of Whitney Houston summarizes it all… sublime, intense desire, desire that he has never met… a craving need, a revelation…and now that they have been making love…. She feels…insatiable want...

and that's not all:)

I dreamed I was entering military service on some kind, and was being handed parts and assembly float diagrams to put something together that would be part of my gear. It was a busy place. I was looking at the parts and the paperwork and had that nice 'yeah I can do this, no problem' feeling.

A strangely coherent dream. I found myself standing outside a store, looking into a window. I was happy because I had bought a whole black sports bag full of movie DVD's. This was resting on the ground beside me. Then some people came running out of the store. They also had a similar black back and ran into me. Looked at me briefly, then ran on.

I walked home, opened my bag and found it full. Not of DVDs but of money stacks and red sponge cake. I called the police and a group of them arrived. The chief was fairly small and had short greying hair combed tightly backwards, he felt clever. Clearly they expected the bad guys to follow my trail home, and prepared a warm welcome for them. In the meanwhile we ate red sponge cake.

And then I woke up.

I was on an airstrip. In a pilot's clothes, relaxing with other men. I know we were German but I can't pinpoint how come I knew. The landscape around us was arid but there were trees too. It was warm. Then the alarm sounded, and we ran for our planes. My plane was sort of midsizish; bigger than a fighter plane. A propeller engine on either side of the cockpit. The strip was short, and at the end - a steep cliff drop. My plane went down like a brick, engines howling louder and louder. I could see the bright white cliff side pass by, the sea coming toward me until I could see the crest of the waves. At the last moment I jerked the rudder back and the plane did a practically 90 degrees break. I found myself flying level with the sea, barely above it, watching the bright blue sky and the whitish cliffsided islands dotting the sea horizon.

And then I woke up. Verdammt.

I dreamed I was on a long tedious car ride on some errand, leading me to a road inn near the border, surrounded by a few houses. Boring place but outside were a number of cats who didn't mind petting. I started to make a toy from some paper, but then the cat owner showed up. She was kind, and invited me in for coffee. When I got into the spacious living room there was already a man there. Her husband? He was sort of polite but impatient, and felt like he was a business type. He was talking in his cell phone and sounded worried. I caught words that indicated someone or something was missing.

And then I woke up.

As a rule, I don't remember my dreams.  But when I was in my early 20's, I went through a period of anorexia, and for months I had a recurring nightmare that I was onstage in a play, but I didn't know the play, my character, or any of my lines.  When I got offstage, I couldn't get the wig or the costume off either.

Last night I dreamed that I was going to prison. Went through the check-in procedure and everything. There were corridors and a cell. But there was also a woman. Definitely an investigator; she was in civilian clothes. She was kind of short and had long dark hair, and kept asking me about something that I refused to answer. Then some time passed. I was either finished with my sentence or let go, but the woman was waiting for me outside the gate and was still asking about the same things. I was still not giving her an answer.

Last night had a different theme. I was on the street, heading for an antiques store. I met a small group of people and a girl among them decided to follow me to the store. But she changed direction again at a street crossing and I did not see her again. Then I arrived at a cluster of small white two storey houses, sort of a quarter, and followed a narrow stair up to a second floor. There I found this delightful brightly lit shop full of collectibles and uniforms, some of which had been rebuilt to fantasy versions with bright colors and buttons. I talked with the shopkeepers who invited me into the back room where they were making more unique custom versions. Two men and one woman, all firmly in the hipster class. There was laughter, and they wanted me to start working there as well even if it was in jest. It was a wonderful place.

A really bad dream I wake up from now.

Shit was happening right in my home; there were a number of government people sniffing around under some context and they were looking grim. There was a meeting which I was not allowed to be a part of, and at that point I realized that I was better off doing a runner even if it meant leaving everything I owned behind, including my home. My home and the things inside it are very important to me. But soon I was on a beach, feeling sick but determined. And it was literally feeling like a bad dream but I could not wake up, even though I tried! Next I was running through the shallow sea water. Someone were chasing me, just for fun, and I grabbed an old small boat anchor and told them to go away, and they did. Then I was lying at the side of a road, peering at the traffic through the bushes while still wanting badly to wake up. Then a bus came by, I stopped it and asked the driver how far the money in my wallet could get me. She thought about it and gave me a name, but it would also take all the money I had. So she suggested somewhere a bit closer, I agreed and went to the back of the bus to sit. After a while the bus stopped again and three guys came on and seemed to be looking for someone, but they did not notice me and left. I eventually ended up at some kind of inn and stayed there for a long while.

I have rarely felt more relieved to wake up.

Last night my dream/nightmare was disturbing:

I was at a small apartment that I use to live at and I had so many people talking to/at me that I was having a headache. I finally told them to be quite and take turns and one of the women told everyone to be quite and let me think. The lady was clad in a white robe. She had some sort of authority and everyone got very quite. Next they all looked at me as if to ask me something and I was just confused as to why all these people were in my house.

The next thing I know their is a wolf by my side and he is comforting me. I can understand what he says to me even though he never spoke, it was like we were trading thoughts not words, if that makes any sense. He said that I could make them all go away, (all the people in my apartment) if I just closed the gate that I had opened. I didn't understand what he meant about a 'gate' being opened. He seemed disappointed in me and I started to cry. The woman in the white robe came forward and told my wolf to stop making me cry. Then all hell broke lose; men crashed down my door and as surprised as I was they seemed surprised as well. The older man of the group said, "where did all the people go?" I looked around and everyone was gone but then I looked closer and they were in the walls, sort of on the walls, or maybe they had become the walls. I saw eyes looking at me and then the wolf told me to tell them that I didn't know what people they were talking about, so I did. The older man slapped me and my wolf growled at him. He stepped back and told one of his men to shoot the wolf. He did and the bullet went through the wolf without harming him. But I wasn't so lucky. I felt a burning sensation in my right side and looked down to see a gapping wound. The wound was far bigger than a simple bullet would make so I looked up and the men were gone and I was lying on a table. I could feel the life draining out of me. The room I was in was white everything and the pain in my side was going away. I was covering in a white sheet that had blood all over it. Then a man that I knew a long time ago came and said to me, 'chose'?

I remember feeling relieved and sad and confused all at the same time. Then the people that were in my apartment in the beginning came back and all started talking again. My headache returned and then......I woke up. When I woke up Bella was licking my face and I felt tears streaming down my face. Once I was fully awake Bella lay her head on my chest. I don't know if she woke me up or if I just woke up.

I wish I could never sleep again.

Last night I found myself in the Victorian, maybe Edwardian age. Somber black suit. And I was in some kind of gentleman's club, with a question mark on gentle. Because the guests were all mature men but somewhat seedy, and the waiters were all men but also very young and pretty. The kind of place where the guests groped waiter ass but without the waiters complaining. I had my eyes on a waiter myself. So. It was in this setting that I was approached by someone lawyer like who handed me a large amount of money in a bag, and a list of names. All male names; people who were not present. I was asked to help to give the money to the men, some of which were very poor and and some of which were already very rich. We discussed who should get much money and who should get little, and in the end I was allowed to make individual judgement in each case. This job would be taking quite a while.

And then I woke up.

Pandemonium. Last night the dreams just didn't want to stop. What you get here is just a few and not necessarily in the correct sequence.

I was talking with two men, who seemed to be lovers - one was dressed leisure suit style, the other was more biker or hipster. I think I got some advice. Then I went to visit some relatives. Someone was offended, there was an argument and I left. But I did locate a few of my mislaid possessions while I was there, a pair of yellow work gloves in particular.

Then I went on a train. I bought a ticket that gave me possession of the last four wagons; it was sort of like a long apartment only when I opened the doors or looked out the windows, the landscape was moving around me. Very beautiful and peaceful. Then I put on my dinner jacket. This took a while because I could not locate the holes for the arms; the openings I tried first all turned out to be pockets or open seams. I went to the dining car; the car was huge and there were lots of people sitting there eating. I found a waiter and asked for my place but he said I needed a reservation. I said I had one and showed him my ticket but he insisted I needed a special one. So no food for me.

The last part of the dream was at night, in America. I know this because I knew I was at a 4th of July celebration. There were huge statues or figures, flood lights going upwards, fireworks, fountains and music. Very festive.

Two dreams last night. First one about a tall guy in white clothes who was writing reviews about gas stations. Then one about a government trap; an agency was posing as a weapons store selling guns online but it was really a way to lure people into making illegal purchases so they could arrest them and take all their weapons. These were unusual dreams because I was not part of either story line, just observing from the sideline.

Last night was filled with dreams of computer crime.

First, I was at a school in a room full of computer. There was a young insistent woman beside me, who wanted me to do something with the school system so she could get a free something at the lunch counter. I was not keen on doing what was obviously a crime. She pushed me until I did it though, and at that point she gathered up her things and left without a word. I hurried to log on again and get into the system so I could erase my tracks.

Then I was at a conference or seminar of some kind, full of computer guys. The crime this time had to do with two identical wheeled black suitcases under some kind of brownish plastic rain cover, who turned to be very different on closer inspection. Me and another man was doing something to them while being in a room to ourselves.

And then I woke up.

Two dreams tonight.

First dream looked suspiciously like someone's plot idea. A Cajun woman, yes that was specified in the dream and I don't even know what a Cajun woman IS, is living a rough life. Which changes entirely when she wakes up to find herself having become a vampire. That was the entire dream.

Next dream was scarier and rather more personal. I was at home, and a dentist was doing a home visit to check my teeth out. One tooth had to go. Before he left, he insisted on making dinner. Some sort of rice and meatball dish. I wasn't hungry but at least he left. There were several other people in the house though; they were not hungry either. Then the sea started to get violent; the radio was telling about ships breaking down. I was struggling to get into rubber boots and an overall and tried to talk one of the women - I knew her well btw - to come down to the beach to look for wreckage but she didn't want to come; instead she wanted to wander off with another woman in the house. I asked them if they wanted to check out the circus gear stowed into the barn, but they were not interested in that either. Then one of the neighbors' cats wandered by. I lifted it up to look at its collar, but instead of a name there were settings for a good old fashioned IDE disc drive.

And then I woke up.

Last night's dream: there was a somber man in a dark room, sitting in a chair, possibly guarding something. Then I think he was killed and a man in a very brightly colored uniform took his place. Then there was a woman, with a dagger, who killed him and took his place. Then... I woke up.

A strangely complete dream last night. There was a man. He was old, bitter, cantankerous and not all there, but with the body and bearing of an officer. I saw him in a garden. I got the impression he was living with relatives or neighbors, and they were not too happy to have him there. At one point he attacked and destroyed a small tree in their garden because it was angering him. I talked with the neighbors and they said they were talking about having him place in some kind of caretaking home, so they could have room to care for someone else. The whole dream was giving me chills and I was glad to wake up.

Hell on a biscuit. Tonight's dreams were worthy of Tim Burton.

There was this perfectly normal-looking town on a hill. A street with people in it, including this huge troll which was really a number of people in a costume. Then a police woman ran up to me and started hugging me joyfully, which was really weird, both because I did not know her and because she was about one foot tall - when I talked to her she merely purred. But she was a real cop in a real uniform and her tiny little radio set was crackling with static.

Then there was this huge storage hall and I went to look at a boat which I clearly had something to do with, it was some sort of civilian amphibious house car full with gear for a trip. Beside it was a mass of other boats and vehicles stacked, including Sherman tanks made from rubber. Then I was distracted when someone wanted me to look at some papers; I went up to an office then returned, and suddenly the storage place was being emptied for some new purpose and I could not find my boat car again. But then I saw the proprietress; she was slick and evil and had become an enchantress and behind her walked several enormous skeletal elementals and I ran for it. At this point someone friendly was with me, one or two people, and something very important had occurred to me, and I said to them "Now I know what matters when nothing matters anymore!" then ran to bypass the evil group to reach somewhere before they did. But the hallways had been fenced off by random crap; when I tried to get through I saw the enchantress pass me just feet away. She either ignored me or didn't see me. But behind her, bobbing in the air, were the human heads of two more elementals; their compressed bodies where bundled under their heads like spider limbs. They stopped beside me and seemed to sense my presence, but then moved on. And then I woke up.

Tonight I dreamed of a nameless broken city, dark and wartorn. Could have been some Eastern European place. Could have been the Middle East. It was in the middle of the night, few lights. It may have been raining. All I knew as I stood on the street with a pistol in my pocket was that I had come there to fight in a war. The gun was heavy.

I was climbing through what may have been a hotel. Electricity was gone, there were crushed walls and bricks and rubble. No people. I found several rooms crammed with food remains; the cans were open and everything had spoiled.

Then I was back on the street. There were tall trees or hedges on one side; the wet leaves glittered in a solitary street lamp. I passed a military truck. As I did so, a tall man in fatigues started following after me. This was not good and I got the gun out and let it hang from my hand. The follower trailed off. But I was barely armed for this place.

A little later I was in a gun seller's truck. The selection was not great and my fund were also limited. I purchased a worn, oldfashioned submachinegun and a few magazines.

Not far off in an open area I could hear shooting. I could see a few other men, armed, in dull informal uniform clothes, and we seemed to be on the same side. They were all going in the same direction with guns raised. I followed them into the darkness. Shots were fired, both ways. I shot too. The gun was awkward to hold. Then I was hit in the left foot blade and it hurt. Bad. But it must have been a small bullet or a high velocity one because I was able to continue forward. I was bleakly aware that the wound would have to be seen to very soon or I could risk losing my foot.

And then I woke up.

Tonight's dream was of space exploration. More precisely perhaps, planet exploration.

I was in a space suit, but the sky was blue. Underneath me was a planet whose uninhabited craggy landscape was wild and unfamiliar, but also full of gnarly forests and snow - and not that far below. Maybe a few thousand feet? Closing in was a tube-like white ship that was not moving in any direction, and was also fairly small. I went in through the smaller airlock. There was just one other person aboard, who greeted me with little more than a nod.

Soon after that I was down on the planet surface with the other person. A woman. We were doing some sort of task, complaining about the snow, when we saw another ship arrive and we sped back up to our ship. When we got there they had already entered the ship by the big ship docking airlock in the other end. As we entered by the maintenance airlock the other guys, 3 of them including a tall blonde guy, started to suit up to get in with us by the other airlock and there was a hilarious moment when we said they could just open the compartment door and walk in to join us.

And then I woke up.

This dream is a couple months old, but I like to talk about it every time I get a chance.
I was extremely tired when I went to sleep, so it felt as if as soon as my head touched the pillow, I was in the dream. It felt strange, because it seemed, to me, that it actually was INSTANT. It just invoked some weird feeling. So, what the dream was, it was like my entire field of view was some black construction paper, and the wall that I fell asleep facing was being traced on it, every bump, crack, or little detail, in this white chalk. It was quite fast, from left to right. (I had an extremely detailed wall, it was really bumpy, kindve like a popcorn ceiling but smoother) Then, when it finished tracing the wall and the edge of the bed in front of me, the paper started burning, and I could hear hundreds of myself screaming.

I woke up, and the first thing I saw was that outline of the wall, and the edge of my bed from the dream. This is one of the few times I've actually woken up screaming.

Very shaking.

Also, as if to support my feeling that the dream was instant, it was about 45 minutes later.
Not exactly instant, but close enough for a dream.

Usually a black wall in a dream means our subconscious. Being drawn on by white chalk I would think would be self explanatory, it is your subconscious trying to communicate something important to you. The next part of your dream is the most interesting to me. I think this is your subconscious telling you to let all the things in your past, all the things that maybe only you know about, let them go. Burning in a dream can have several meanings but in this context I would think that it would mean letting those things go up in smoke. The hundreds of yourselves screaming, well maybe you aren't as ready to let go of those things as your subconscious is?

I have studied dream interpretation a little. By no means am I an expert, but maybe some of this will make sense to you and give you some peace.

When a dream is so strong that it affects your waking self and leaves this kind of impression, it really speaks to me. I have had nightmares for years and after I had a burning ceremony they decreased a lot. They didn't go away but they did get better. Instead of waking in a cold sweat, sometimes screaming, every night it has gone to about two or three times a month. I consider that a success.

I hope you feel better now after a couple months have passed. Good luck and I hope you find resolution.

*hugs, if that is okay*

Thank you for the interpretation! It was really interesting,  and provided a new way to look at that nightmare. And thinking about it, maybe the explanation makes sense to me? I'll have to think about it more.

Thanks again!

*and hugs are very okay*

In high-school, I used to always have those dreams where you go to school naked, not realizing it till you get there and people make fun of you.
I was told these dreams usually mean you don't have very high self-esteem, or something like that, and I didnt back then.

Anyway, I'm rambling lol.

Two dreams, over the last few days.

I dreamed that I was walking through some sort of brightly lit hall. It may have been a big store. There were shelves with music DVDs and greeting cards, and cafes with coffee and baked goods. I think I was wearing a long black coat but not feeling out of place in the urban crowd. Then a couple of shelves away two women were looking at cards and one of them, with very short white or blondee hair, read aloud from one card she was holding; the first line of a poem I was familiar with. I automatically read aloud the second line from memory. Without missing a beat she closed the card and read the third line aloud. I read the fourth, she the fifth, and I the sixth and final. We smiled and they left, but she left the card on the shelf. I moved on.

Second dream. I was talking with a woman. She looked perfectly normal. I could only see her in half profile from the neck and up. Then she turned her head to look directly at me and the other half of her face looked like it had been terribly damaged; lots and lots of scars and skin that looked dead. But she kept talking and seemed otherwise unaffected.

The dream world is a weird place, Xandi. Some of it is more real than it appears.

-----

Tonight was filled with troubled and dark dreams. I was briefly visiting family members, who were having other visitors on a holiday as well for a. Everything seemed normal until I could see a multiply colored creature on the wall. I thought it was a parrot at first but it turned out to be a big lizard colored green, red, yellow. I had barely noticed it before a much bigger lizard came walking up to me on the living room floor. A komodo dragon, the size of a dog. It wanted to cuddle I think but I held it away. When it yawned at me it had a mouthful of huge sharp green teeth which I didnt like the sight of at all.

Then I found myself at what seemed like an out of town convention. No costumes but a number of young people seeming organized and determined. I was at a meeting, watching a screen, and frankly being a bit bored. I eventually walked down to the cellar garage and then thing turned interesting. There was a sort of slab, an artifact, that definitely did not belong with the cars. I stood there for a while and then others turned up who explained about it. Even some bikers passed by and I noticed them but right then I did not know why. After a little while I was brought to some kind of beach resort. There were wooden building, a board walk along the water edge, and all along the board walk were pillar-like artifacts that seemed ancient and powerful. I was there for a while until something approached me that was intelligent but not human. It hovered in the air and I think we talked.

And then a big rabbit came walking towards me. It seemed normal from a distance but it fell over as it got near and became still. That was when I saw that it was hollow and part of the fur was gone. Inside were a mass of gears and wires and cogwheels, all slick and green. Mechanical, but not constructed by a human.

I left after a while, found a car and headed into the nearby forest road. Something about the car wasnt functioning right and I was rolling backwards and downwards but somehow managed to stop it. When I got out of the car and looked along the road I could see a column of very small humanoids in slick black armor march single file up the road, like one foot tall vikings.

After a bit I came to what looked like a bikers club. A low bunkerlike building with a guard outside, who looked alarmed when he saw me and had signs of having been recently beaten. He recognized me from the cellar and tried to talk me out of entering but did not stop me. Inside there were more bikers, all seeming alarmed and uncomfortable at seeing me, and all looked like they had been stomped on. We talked about something and then I left.

And then I woke up.

Two dreams tonight. The first was not good.

I was driving along a very narrow road; just a single track. There were passengers in my car and we were talking. Some sort of driving computer was showing a camera screen on the dashboard, showing the car ahead of us and indicating it with a white square a well. The car ahead was struggling, and as we watched it slid and got stuck. We laughed and I braked, then drove back and left a few meters because the computer indicated a T-crossing. But as soon as I had backed in there between two houses there was a muted crashing sound and then my car slid back into emptiness. After a second I realized the car had not stopped and that this would not end well, and I turned to my passengers and said 'I am sorry'. After that, only blackness.

The second dream started out at some kind of party. There was music, people in party clothes, laughter, a clothes wardrobe guard. But this was not a public place, more like someone's private club or stronghold. I was invited into the back area and there they had a lot of weapons; complete ones and parts. Assault rifles and other guns. I was interested of course and we made a trade deal for some parts. That's all I remember.

And then I woke up.

I was in a big building of sorts with several floor where history was being researched. There were history books on shelves and tables everywhere and the walls were bright white. Down in the cellar there were a combined holding cell and hospital area, and in one cell I found Hitler, wearing a hospital gown. We talked briefly. He said he had lost all his memories but when I mentioned a few bad things he had done, he was defensive in a happy way as if he saw no reason to feel remorse.

A car, and a young woman. She was attractive but had some trouble with the car and I tried to help her fix it by adding and removing panels. She eventually drove off and I was hoping I would bump into her again. I don't remember what she looked like but the car was black.

A fast drive down a narrow snowy winter road surrounded by tall trees, in the middle of the night. I was a passenger. The man who drove the car drove faster and faster and I was getting quite uncomfortable. After a while I was walking along the road instead and others were passing the other way. I could see lights from a city in the distance.

I was going to help someone put together a table. The trouble was that the main parts were at one location, the screws another place and the tools a third. So I had to drive from place to place and I got annoyed.

I was on an airport. I may have been looking for someone. But instead I kept finding things that people had dropped. Wallets, lighters, jewelry, fobs. I returned most of it to the owners but pocketed a few items I thought I'd never find the owner for, like an old lighter. A few things were lying outside a shops stall and when I realized the stuff belonged there, I turned it in to the guy who ran it. One old lady tried to knock me down with her stick because I was standing in her way. She said "I'll hit ya."  As I went out the front doors a long slender black woman turned to look at me. I don't know why. The last set of keys and wallets were on the road on the outside, by a car full of people. I picked it up and handed it to one of them, a sparsely haired guy in a suit, and he said thank you but he seemed like he didn't really care.

I had a dream I was chasing someone. I don't know who, but for some reason in the dream I was determined to find out who it was. It was a she, and she looked familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on who it was. It was a rather short dream, because I tripped and woke up :/

I haven't had many dreams lately.

I had a waking dreaming the other day:

I was in an underground location and on what was like an op but I'm not sure if it was. I had on all black and felt completely alone on this mission I had to complete. Between me and doing what I was suppose to do was a large man with many guns. I knew if I did what I had to do I would die but if I didn't do it others would die. I don't remember anything else but I woke up with a terrible pain in my side and crying. It was very upsetting for some reason. I still feel upset by it. *shakes head*

One of those observed dreams.
There was the inside of a salt mine, worked by prisoners and supervised by Turkish or French soldiers. I could see them working to make a round upward shaft in the white material. The uniforms indicated this was around World War One. All the civilian clothes appeared Arabic but several of the prisoners were white men. There was an escape. One man was covering his face with a garment to hide ugly scars on one cheek. There was a river, and the little group of escapees were in tiny canoes going down the stream. Finally, a western street somewhere far away. Four men were left. One white, three Arabs. They were standing outside the white man's house, carrying his wounded body, commenting on his wounds but claiming he would live, and then they carried him inside. There servants took him over but the authority of the house, a father/officer thanked the three Arab by making them nobles or something similar.

A dream I definitely was in.
I woke up in bed with a woman, not knowing how I had gotten there but I seemed to be quite welcome. From there it got odd, because first her sister peeked in by the door and said hello and then her mother. There was breakfast with all of them, eggs in a pan, and they all sounded like I was likely to be hanging around - and I still could not remember how I had gotten there. And then it got even busier, as she started to call her band buddies who all turned up in a sour mood to get the instruments she had been storing for them, to make room for my stuff. And then a whole special effects group, retrieving all the miniatures and not so miniature stage models she also had been storing. I was NOT happy that my presence was setting all this in motion.

And then I woke up.

Another busy night in dreamland.

I was traveling through prisons, in some official capacity - I was not a prisoner myself. Lots of white walls and prisoners. But I was running into some of them again and again. One was a bald slender man, neither young nor old, with intense eyes. Another was a trio of young women, with the same anxious look. They all kept telling me the same thing: "Memento Mei. Remember me." Except it could also have been "Memento Mori"...

I was in a car, driving into a big city. I took a left turn instead of a right turn on the fringe of the city and ended up in a dark slum; concrete tunnels, decaying buildings, grey people. Someone told me to get out and how, but in a friendly way. And so I navigated back out and managed to get into the other end of the city. Which was clearly somewhat more affluent, but even there people looked distraught and there was trash everywhere. I went into a restaurant looking for a man, but he was gone. As I were talking with the others there came a shout, someone came running in and told everyone that a man - the one I had been looking for - had been found in a nearby trash bin, shot dead.

I was driving to visit someone; we were going to do something. I parked outside his house to wait. But I was very tired, so I fell asleep in the parked car for a while. Then I woke up as no less than four black-dressed priests came out of the house; I could see their white collar things. They came to the car and one of them said sternly that I couldn't stay parked there. I said that I had just fallen asleep, and then I drove off. I never saw the guy I was supposed to meet.

Then I was doing something with some sort of white drone; it was flying about me but there was rope or wire hanging down to the ground. It started to fly away on its own accord and I followed it, across an area until it slipped into the upper floor window of some company offices. I went in there and was allowed upstairs; the drone had stuck to some cables and stuff high on a wall. In the mean while I had realized that I knew some of these people; I had worked with them before. That was awkward but they were friendly; a contract or milestone was being celebrated and I was offered cake with them.

And then I woke up.

I dreamed I was a young girl. That has to be a first in all my years of dreaming. I was in a school class, disrupting it by listening to music on my laptop while the teacher talked and louder than I realized. The teacher threw me out and told me I was not to return. Outside the school building I met a sad man in black oldfashioned clothes. He told me in very bad English he was from Poland, and showed me some sort of crude metal framed plates he had invented. They were interesting. And then I woke up.

I had a dream and Yggdrasil was in it.

I'd been out with my mother, and she was telling me about a RL friend of mine, who I think had means things to say about me. I also didn't think she was well, and there was a general concerned tone to the conversation. We were sitting in a room (a bit like a shopping centre, though it had more of a convention feel to it) when I spotted the guy who played Mal in Firefly (in costume). He was with Catherine Zeta Jones (she was in a wheelchair), and there were some other people with them. I traded joking comments with 'Mal' (which my mother didn't understand at all I think), and I remember everyone was heading off into another room. A young boy took my hand and led me in there, where I think there was going to be some kind of performance/show. I think he may have had a slight blue tinge to his skin. I was worried about leaving my bags but I found later that I'd brought them with me.

I was in a different section, but it turned out there was one seat left beside my mother, so I sat there. The lady who played Faith in Buffy was around too, but I didn't see her, and I wasn't sure where she was going to sit, but I know she was going to join us.

Then the camera panned out and down, and we were up high/among clouds, and as it panned down, there was a giant tree (that I recognised as Yggdrasil - though its bark was almost orange), and we must've been among its canopy. I remember runes, though I don't remember how or why. As though they somehow marked where we were.

A strange dream last night. I was a pirate, apparently. There was this giant wooden jumbled structure of sail ship parts, ladders, beams, gangways, and I was exploring it. I was not alone. There was a young woman there too, a girl rather, who I seemed to be vaguely or distantly related to, and we were not getting on well. There was something furtive about her. We were looking for a treasure or something else valuable. After a while the girl abandoned me, vanished up to the surface, and I heard hard unwelcome voices. Government people of some kind, and the girl's voice was with them. Apparently I had been sold off or revealed. I kept on searching but had a dull knowledge that once I got out of this place, I would be seized or arrested or killed. This kept on for a while. Then, from a different direction, there was other voices, angry ones. These I recognized. They were my crew. They had found out I had been betrayed and were on a rescue mission.

Then I woke up.

I had.. an odd experience a night or two ago.
I had a dream about an odd children's castle-looking place, with seemingly randomly shaped boards of bright colors, like one would be a bright blue, another neon yellow, and yet another a bright red, with no sense to the colors other than their obnoxious brightness. It reminded me of a clown, somehow.
Well, I walked up to it, and the door was too short, and I attempted to lean down to go through, but I hit my forehead on the frame, and woke up.

Then, in a groggy state, I attempted to remember the dream, and slipped back into it, yet I still felt awake. It was strange. It felt like a memory, yet also like a dream.

I did a lucid dreaming test on myself, and I could indeed breathe through my nose with it pinched, yet I still wasn't sure if it was a memory or a dream.

Either way, I attempted to walk through the doorway again, and the same thing happened. Yet this time, instead of banging my head on the frame, it phased through.. an odd feeling.

I saw one of my old friends, and followed them through the weird place.

Something happened, I don't remember what, and it was morning.

The whole dream had an odd creepy vibe to it.

A night full of busy dreams that made little sense. A lot of people walking along a path. Preparations for a party. Dogs walking around. Me looking for stuff in boxes, especially a goblet I was going to drink wine from. Two moments stuck though. I was looking at a mirror to check on my clothes - and the mirror was showing me in a different position than I was standing in. I looked again and the mirror image seemed normal again. This happened twice. Then I was at a party and someone handed me a pair binoculars that had an extraordinary effect - each tube showed two different futures. In one, I could see myself in a prison yard. In the other, things seemed more benign. The owner told me that this was the two possible outcomes of my current actions, depending on my choices.

And then I woke up. Somewhat worried.

I woke up, pulled on my long jons and underlayers, threw on a sweater and thick socks.  Grabbed wallet, keys, and phone.  Went downstairs and got coffee brewing.  Took up a stalk of celery and gnawed a carrot as I told myself that I was most definitely waking up.  Packed up my lunch for the day.  Swapped slippers for a pair of work boots.  Then headed out the door.  That was right about the time my alarm woke me up.  Then I realized that I'd have to do everything I'd just dreamed about.  X D X

A really odd dream last night. I was in Asia, and it was in a distant past. I was on the border between two countries, and there was this odd tall rectangular building between them, built of stones or masonry - definitely not modern concrete. I was walking through it, up a long staircase, and I could see into a large number of rooms - and there was personal armor everywhere in those rooms, enough to equip an army. When I entered the place it seemed empty but a man came walking in from a side hallway; he looked important and was followed by a number of guards.

Last night I dreamed that I enlisted, as a Norwegian, in the Swedish Army, since I had the qualifications for a specialist job there.

I have no idea why. But the dream was REALLY specific about those details.

This one gets spooky.

Last night I dreamed I was visiting the home of an antiques dealer. I felt younger than I am today. He was older,  had a lot of stuff around the place, and seemed slightly physically disabled but pleasant enough. I was wandering around the place looking at the things he had. There was also another visitor; a young woman, long black hair, distinctly cool type, and a little out of place. She and the older guy was talking in a discrete way while making sure I could not follow the conversation. I wandered out of earshot a bit and found a table where there was a magazine called "Dante Club". It was BDSM-related, with articles and about domination and submission.

Then I woke up. The dream was still strong in my mind and I googled "Dante Club". And there IS a "Club Dantes Inferno", in Los Angeles. Definitely the BDSM lifestyle too. And I can guarantee you, I have never heard of it before.

Last night I dreamed I was at some sort of formal social function. In present time, meaning early winter. The kind where I wouldn't really want to be and wasn't actually needed, but would need a really good reason for not showing up. So I was there. This was at some kind of country estate with old buildings. I knew some of the people there, but I was in a dark mood and felt distanced from the conversations. I had been on better terms with the people there in the past, and now there were happiness and expectations I was not part of. And odd things started to happen. I looked at a light fixture and the lightbulb blew right there and then. I moved on, looked at a wine glass and it broke without being touched. Then in the main room, I looked at a lamp beside an old woman and the lamp swung out through the window and went dark - the woman looked at me quite alarmed, but said nothing.

Then I walked further through the room to where the main group was sitting, including an old man I had had some okay conversation with early. I stood beside him, and took the word just as there was a silent moment. "I and (his name, I forgot it) would like to read you guys something. It's called 'Last lull of the autumn'." The man lit up and said "Oh, I think I know that one - isn't it" and started on some poem but I put a hand on his shoulder and said 'no, it's like this."

And then I drew in air deeply, and howled. Like a wolf, except instead of the howl dying at the end it became shriller and wilder like a banshee - and then the world changed. The wind around the houses started to whirl madly, the sky became wollen and unclear, and the nearby pine forest seemed to grow taller and move closer, shaking off the ice and snow and radiating greenness like it was indeed early autumn. The fireplace inside the house grew from dull red to light orange and roared like it had been filled with fuel and hot air.

Everything grew silent. I felt naked, revealed. And then I woke up.

I think these last few dreams tell a lot, don't you?

Interest for sure.

Here is something for us to ponder. It isn't just a dream but also during waking hours...It is someone I have been thinking about.

I haven't seen this person in years and yet she is at the forefront of my mind lately. I can't seem to shake the thoughts of her out of my mind.
The thoughts are about sad things. Events that happened to her and I when I was a few years younger than I am now. We shared some time
working for the same people and in some dangerous situations at times. These thoughts of her always come back to the way she died. I can't
stop thinking about her....It is driving me insane at times. I ask my guide why??? and he does what he always does....no answer.

Any clues? I tried talking to her and got no response from her....Others we happy to use the opening but not her. If you have any clues, please
I am open to it.

Sorry I didn't mean to hijack your thread Captain but you probably know about what I am talking about, and it is related cause I have been
dreaming about her every night.

Okay I will leave it there. Thanks in advance to anyone who has some ideas.....

I catch your meaning Xandi. PM is coming.

.....

This morning I woke up feeling like a message recorder. No images left, no actions, just three words. "Check out 'xxxxxxxx'." I have no idea what it means but on the off chance that I will find out, I am withholding the last word for now. It is a long time since I last woke up with a sentence alone in my mind.

Strange one last night. Then again, they are all strange. I dreamed I was out fishing at the shore, and caught what the dream called a 'kraken' - pretty hideous thing but only the size and length of a shark. I was going to throw it back into the sea but someone said that Somalian restaurants were paying for these in gold in their own weight. So I sold it to a restaurant, got well paid and an invite for a meal as well. I went there and the place had dark wooden panels, white table cloths, people were wearing suits - unexpectedly stylish really. There were other guests there too. One woman opened a cupboard and screamed; we looked. And there was a kraken skull, decorated with a blonde wig and makeup.

And then I woke up.

Last night I dreamed I was on an unfamiliar church yard, looking for a grave. I knew the name and where the grave was supposed to be, but it still wasn't there. There were green metal poles all over the place; I thought they were some kind of markers. Eventually I found out that the grave had been moved to a mass grave; there was a large stone marker with a title and many names; the one I had been looking for was there too.

I don’t dream all that often but I had a really good one over the weekend.  Even though there aren’t many details it left me feeling blissfully peaceful when I woke up.

I can’t remember what the surroundings were like, but I was sitting next to my girlfriend (who was holding her baby daughter) and she was leaning her head on my shoulder and I had mine leaning on hers.  And for the most part we just sat there.  Occasionally we would both turn our heads so we could look each other in the eyes and share a smile knowing that we were both completely happy and content in that moment.

Last night I dreamed I was doing some construction work, containers and heavy lifting gear was involved, when I suddenly remembered I should be on an appointment with a doctor right then. I left the work knowing I was going to be way late. But I got there; a tall building with many windows that was sort of triangular from above. It was crowded inside; I was on one of the top floors and little offices and workers and patients were everywhere. I located the floor reception desk and the woman behind it told me I had to pay for the appointment I had not met, and then she told me I could go and knock on the door of one of the doctors on the floor. Which I did; he had round glasses and a white coat and was slightly miffed to lose his break. We went to the cafeteria though, and had coffee while I talked about my current health. He seemed pleased, Then I sad something foolish like 'well have your coffee damnit!' and he got back to being miffed. Before I left he handed me some mood enhancing pills.

I have been having a terrible nightmare anytime I go to sleep. It has been haunting me during the day as well. This has been going on for close to a week now and last night was the worst yet.

Here is the dream:

I am talking to my favorite wolf, Symon. We are in my favorite wooded area and we are discussing some events that have me questioning certain things. He suddenly perks his ears and says, "I wasn't paying close enough attention, they are here." I ask, "who is here?' and I begin looking around. I don't see anyone but I feel an evil presence. I stand up and before I can say or do anything out of the darkness comes a flash of light and Symon jumps in front of me and it struck by it. He falls to the ground after letting out the worse howling cry I have ever heard. I get down and try to see what has happened and how I can help but there is just a hole in him, a large hole. I begin to chant and to call for Michelle. I am rocking him and chanting with all my life force but he dies in my arms. HE DIES. Symon can't die, can he? I mean I thought he couldn't die but he dies and even as I just write this my chest hurts from the thought and I can't stop the tears from coming. Michelle never comes and I never saw what killed him. I just sat there for what seemed like hours rocking him and crying. The night came and went and came again before I woke up. I feel sick because of this nightmare. Bella has been waking me up a lot for about a week now and I finally figured it out, she wakes me up from this dream. I am crying and she wakes me by licking my tears. I just don't know what to make of it. I have tried to make sure that Symon is okay but I still haven't had any word.

Anyway I just thought if I wrote this out that I could banish it from my thoughts once and for all.

A strange dream last night. I was in a huge building of some kind. Corporate, academic, state maybe, somethings with lots of offices and laboratories. The place was old, like it cold have been built in the 40s or 50s but there were modern computers. I was in one office with some screens, and I was apparently a security staff of of some kind. I was wearing some sort of dark, blue or gray, uniform. On a camera screen I could see a woman, who was not familiar to me, who seemed perfectly normal but was in the wrong place of the building at the wrong time. I went after her and found her in a hallway. She was pleasant enough at the start of the conversation but as I pointed out her being in the wrong place she went angry, then tried to run. There was a struggle. She was slippery and strong as an eel. I finally got her in a grip that placed her helplessly over my back, but it was an painful hold for both parties. I then walked through some offices; there were people there who looked rather shocked at me passing through with my cargo, but I eventually located a specific man who looked like a scientist or professor; tall, skinny, and with somewhat ruddy and half long grey hair. He seemed to be on top of the situation and asked the woman something. She answered, angrily, and he continued to speak to her. She stopped resisting and I put her down on the floor, then left.

Disturbing one last night. I was in a city or urban area; lots of one- and two storey buildings. Not many people in the street and something very bad was happening. Someone was following after me with bad intentions but it was just a little bit of what was happening. Up in the sky I could see a big passenger plane. The engines were on fire and it was sailing toward the ground and out of my view. The one who was following me went off after someone else instead, but I think I was hit in a leg first. Right then another plane appeared in the sky; a solitary jet fighter plane going after the first plane at very high speed. There was an ominous silence, and I and the other maybe half dozen other people at that spot laid down on the ground and covered our ears. And then there was a boom. Not something happening far away; it was as if the world went white and soundless and the ground shook and throbbed. Next I new, a woman in some kind of boiler suit was leaning over me asked if I could move. I could right then not feel anything and could not move my limbs, but then I was on my feet and I replied that I was fine. She told me to follow her, and started to run. I followed her; no one else were moving. The air was full of dust which worried me a great deal. I wanted gloves.

The woman was running to a two-storey building. There were no windows and the walls were made of concrete. The woman went inside a door and I followed in. Right inside the door at the bottom of an unpainted stairwell a man was lying; dead or badly wounded. The woman shouted at him but he did not respond. I noticed that he was wearing a more substantial suit with a helmet and gloves. I tried to take the gloves off him then saw that they were dissolving. What had he been doing? The woman went up the circular staircase and I followed. It went up several floors and then we were on some sort of platform overlooking what could be a hangar or a work shop. There were other people in suits there and a full alarm was in progress. Apparently someone were trying to break in.

And then I woke up.

I dreamed of a hillside. There was war going on, but what period I could not tell; the soldiers were carrying muskets or rifles and were all wearing long woolen coats. There was the flash and thunder of cannons. I was part of a small group of soldiers. We were headed toward a spot on a hill where there was a lot of shooting. There was a small unit already there, our people, taking rapid fire. But they were just milling about. I could see the officer and I recognized him as someone who was not a real officer, just someone who had bought his way to the job. I told him to get out of the way and he gave me a look of hopeless defiance, as if his pride was snapping. He stepped aside though and I spread my few men out and told them to lie down, and then we returned fire.

That's when I woke up.

I woke up in a jungle, terrified. In a wrecked white tent and covered in white blankets. Outside was a huge gorilla, at least 10 feet tall, and it was probing through the wrecked tent with a hairy hand the size of a hup cap. I could feel its hand reach me and lie probing on my chest, and I fought to not move or make a sound. Then I saw my horse standing close by; it was dark brown, and had a brown leather saddle with brass tackle. I reached out to it, grabbed on and sent it running while I swung up into the saddle.

And then I woke up again.

Ai. Last night I was busy writing and drinking wine until 2am. I am not one to complain about a burst of creativity, but there were consequences. For one thing, at some point after I went to sleep, I either sleepwalked or some mischievous pixie lent my body, went to the kitchen, made cocoa with powder and cold milk and drank most of it, left the milk carton out on the table, and then had some sweets - at least those were unwrapped first. I certainly don't have a memory of it.

And then I dreamed. Of going to a huge airport. There were lots of people hanging around. Shops, luggage, rolling sidewalks, the works. I needed to travel somewhere, I had been somewhere and was going home and for some reason I had not ordered a ticket in advance. I now tried to order a ticket but was told to have to wait until someone else cancelled, the system was in chaos because of some event. So I walked around, sat, waited, talked with a few people. It got very late and I was talking with two women; one was a cop and the other a fireman - in service uniforms, not full garb. We were flirting a little bit. The cop was a blonde with a sharp haggard face, like she had been doing too many late shifts on too little food. She was very pretty when she blushed. Seeing it was getting so late it was better described as early, I suggested we rented a room and got a few quiet hours. They said something like that getting them a room wasn't getting me sex. I said that I didn't fuck on first dates any more anyway. I'd be back to this city some time later. (I know it's cheesy. It was a dream. I am merely reporting.) So we managed to get a room, and it was like the inside of a shoe box. White walls, no windows, practically just a single bed and some extra mattresses on the floor and a tiny bathroom. I got the bed, and the ladies were settling on the floor. But the door was open and two guys walked past; I seemed to know them. They were having the cubicle next door. They were laughing, we had a brief chat. The younger of the guys was half naked and looked pretty hot; he went to the other room quickly and then we heard some humping going on. The three of us hit our beds too.

And then I woke up, damnit.

I dreamed that I was in a team training about ten androids in street subterfuge. This was not going entirely well. The androids were going down the street, looking the same and walking in the same pattern. Most of the androids looked like men but one looked like a woman, and I was talked to teach her to act in a counterintuitive pattern so she could avoid detection. We were doing stuff like stopping at random shops and look through the merchandise, try on clothes she did not need, read in books, little human traits. We were in a restaurant, having a conversation with someone else in our team. Then re realized we were being bugged by a nearby couple; they had a microphone and a recording device. Clearly agents of a different organizations. This was not good. We went to the bathroom section, where one of the others on my team handed me a small crystal-like item and told us to leave. The android and I left by the bathroom window; we were climbing down the walls of a very old building with many decorations so it wasn't too hard. But we were being followed, and ran into neighboring dark factory-like buildings and found a way to an upper floor where there were shops; from these we made it out to the street.

There was this sports type; running like the wind, going to some sports event. Then he changed into a gryphon while running. As he arrived the rest of the team was waiting, they looked pretty baleful - but then started to change into gryphons as well. Sports commenced, and then they changed into swans and flew away.

I dreamed that I was in some sort of mall or conference center; there were shops, offices... and stormtroopers. Or rather guys in stormtrooper costumes, as some sort of temporary attraction. I was one of them; we were doing things like marching unexpectedly out of swooshing doors. Very festive. But someone attacked us out of nowhere; some where shot and killed, some wounded.

And then there was an executive of some kind. Suit and tie, tall and sharp, and now I was him. I saw my troopers be attacked, talked to one of them and then the big strong attacker was coming for ME. I was by my office and I jumped over the waist high shelf, narrowly missed my own office chair, crashed down on the floor and reached frantically for the alarm button which was under my desk. It was a silent alarm. I got up and ran out in the corridor, to the staircase, down it, and into a meeting room where a couple of people were concluding some business. A man and a woman. I knew them, and as we all hurried to get under the table I shook their hands, especially the man. I reminded him that after the signing of the papers a few minutes ago his company was now responsible for something to do with security, and he used an electronic thing to send a message to someone.

Then I woke up.

Weird. I woke up without remembering my dream but with an intense need to hear Rachmaninoffs piano concert no. 3. I have not heard it before at all, nor did I have an earful of classical music right before going to bed.

And that's how I came to start my day with 45 minutes of classic piano. It was really nice.

This is a very messy writing of the dream I had, it woke me up and I had to write it all down. I don't want to add or fix what I wrote - that might ruin the memory in my head.

End of the World was coming.
Can travel to a new one with keys. Only so many keys, regulated to certain people.
People don't know I have them, I try to get people out and away. Get mom out.
Once you travel there, you become something else. A new creature. Sentient, but different
Save a man and his son, A woman and her daughter. And then there are others looking for me. They're angry because I have the keys.

There's a man in an apartment or a house. We talk about what's happening. He doesn't want to change. Doesn't want to leave. I write him a note and spend time with him. It's a quiet house, older. There are messages on the back of a dresser - Writing for each other. I'm thinking of things to take, I don't take much. My animals are all ready - they'll change too, like us.
I spend more time with the man, as much as I can. I ask if he would change, I have the two keys just for us in my pocket.

He says no.

It's calm, peaceful. But the end is coming. I can feel it.
I have to get out of there. I leave a key for him and go
Someone hands me a bag of keys
Activated
Illegal
They want to help - they say nothing. They have activated more keys - we're trying to save as many people as possible. More are coming. Friends are there. They cross to the other place.
I send my animals over - I have to before the people
I wait for him. He doesn't come.
Things are growing dim
Time for us. I cross. Pale stripes of teal over tuqiost
Nature is vibrant
It's huge
They're there
All of them waiting, laughing
We made it
I have keys and trinkets with me
Maybe the world didn't end and we could go back
Maybe he'll come. His name was Sean.

Weird one last night. I opened the front door and there were four cats outside, who were coming in. Three black ones and one tabby. They had been missing for a long time, had gone to another part of the country, and now they were back. In bad shape. One lacked a foot, another one lacked a tail. They were scrawny and thin, wearing bandages and veterinaries had written contact information on them. The cats had brought two dead mice with them. I let them in, of course.

Very visual one last night. I was in a machine shop; there were lots of guys in boiler suits, oil, grime, heavy machinery. I was brought to a stall and told to put together and solder some metal components with wires. As I was doing this, a big low car drove in and parked in the nearby parking area; it attempted to park a little away from the others. The car was on fire. The driver darted out and sprayed a spot with a fire extinguisher; then three more people calmly left the car. As they went away there was a wooof and then the car was engulfed in fire.

I dreamed I was in a large building. White walls, bright roof lights. There was a monster, of the space alien type with lots of claws and teeth and gadgets, and a portal through which a whole bunch of beings were coming who immediately attacked the monster. Humans, humanoids, others. They were using all sorts of scifi type weapons shooting beams, rays and so on. The alien countered with shields and rays. Then there was a loud bang. Someone else, not one of the portal arrivals, had fired an old fashioned rifle at the monster and it reeled in pain, because it had not prepared to fight something that primitive. Another shot rang out and it fell.

I had a dream last night that began with me waking up in Austria (I think) on a vacation with a friend and my parents. I’ve been to Austria in real life and in reality my dream was nothing like the real place, but I knew where I was, saw things I felt I had seen before. I was trying to show them all of the awesome things there, but the entire time my mom was being a bore, or just rude, making mean comments, wanting to nap when we only had so much time to explore, etc. I remember vividly the feeling of anger I felt towards her. What I don’t remember is if I hit her or not. I really wanted to.

I had a terrible night because I managed to run out of sleeping pills. (Fresh supplies today, fortunately. Two nights like this would have been twice as bad.) Lay awake until 5am and when I finally did get to sleep the dreams rolled over me with unusual detail and ferocity. You might want to consider this post to be on the nasty side, although no more than any news story. Fair warning.

I was in a city street. It had been raining and the asphalt was wet. In a strange neighborhood. There was a two floor building. A bar or something on the first floor, and a number of bearded men in wigs and dresses outside. I went in a side door and up a staircase to the second floor, where there was a small shop. Could have been a pawn shop maybe; it looked scruffed. Someone told me the desk counter with the real goods was closed for the moment; a couple of shady men were looking at me darkly for a moment then ignored me. There was another man there too; another customer. His skin was a lot darker than mine, and seemed to have a sunny personality. We made a few jokes and I called him a caballero. We decided to go somewhere else and a small young blonde woman wanted to go with us. She was a prostitute and also felt sunny. We went outside, the three of us arm in arm, down the dark wet streets, taking a few dance steps here and bowing like ladies and gentlemen there. It was such a happy moment. Then we came to a different building, went up some stairs, and there "El Toro" was waiting for us. (Yes, the dream actually named him.) He was a gang leader and had other men there with him. A killer of police. I don't know why we went to meet him. El Toro had thick black hair, was well dressed, fat and muscular, and was sunny in the wrong way. The girl, who was looking to gain something, made advances on El Toro and they had sex. Then something went terribly wrong and El Toro sent all his men to have sex with her as well in the same room. It was ugly. After it was over she was sitting on the floor crying and said she was torn to pieces, and she leaped for a gun on a table and shot herself. Then I and the caballero looked at each other's faces, nodded, pulled out our own guns and shot everyone in the gang. I was saving El Toro for last. He was begging. I shot him twice, low in the belly so he'd suffer. But the caballero told me that I should not be as bad as El Toro, and while I looked at my friend I lifted the gun and shot El Toro in the head. I asked the caballero "Why, if suffering last so long, must vengeance be so fast?" He had no answer for me. That dream ended there.

I'm in a strange concrete room with hoses and knobs all over the walls. There's a drain in the center of the floor. It's not really frightening, and doesn't appear to be a torture chamber of any sort. There's a small corridor on the side that leads to some steps going down. There's a bunch of women here, watching me. They don't like me at all. I realize I'm mostly naked, save my nightgown. And I'm now expected to work. I don't really know what my job is here, so I just grab a hose and turn it on. I spray some stains off the concrete floor before accidentally hitting the emergency shutoff. The foreman appears as if from thin air, smiles, and shows me how to fix the mistake. The women grumble and make snide remarks about the appearance of my butt.

Then a dog barks louder than all hell and I wake up.

It's the middle ages in Ireland. And there's zombies. And there's this married woman that I fall in love with who secretly “marries” me in a cave at night. But the king, for some reason, sentences me to prison. And tries to marry off my new bride to some noble. The other nobles oldest, knowing she is still married to someone else. The king pulls out a handwritten book and declares that only his rules, written and revised every day, and only seen by him, take precedence. The court erupts and half of the nobles are also sent to prison.

As I'm being led away, the jailor takes me to a secret room where the remaining nobles are. They tell me that they're not going to let me be arrested for no reason, bring me my new wife, and tell us to escape. I sense something's off and discover they've stolen the king’s book and hidden it in my wife's belongings. I know he'll execute us for this, so I try to turn them in. But it doesn't work and I end up killing the king with his own sword while he tries to seduce my wife. The nobles try to arrest me for regicide, but I refuse to surrender and me and my new bride are killed in the streets.

I was at a concert. Some obscure steam punk band; the hall was maybe two thirds full. The music was a bit monotonous and the singer not quite top notch. Afterwards I was in the small lobby and saw the band check out; they seemed happy enough. I had a couple of words with one of them. When I left the place I had a bus to catch but it was not coming this way for hours so I wanted to head the beach for a while. I felt oddly young. I passed a trio of girls and one of them asked where they could buy cheap beer, but I could only direct them to the nearby grocery story. She was not happy about this. Then I went into a beach bar or shop of sorts to buy something; there was a young attractive man in just bathing trunks there; he asked me if I was going swimming in a rather pointed and intimate way. Odd. I moved on to the beach which seemed to be at the edge of a jungle forest. Very pretty. What really caught the attention was a cloister or temple that had been built in the water; lots of steps going into the water, low wavebreaker walls, little building and plateaus enclosed by walls. Not so much a big building as a labyrinth or a fortress, marked by age but not decayed. There were robed people going about, and bathing people. Blue sky, strong sun. I went swimming in one of the open hallways; the water was warm but not clear. Nearby a man shouted that he had found someone lifeless in the water, and moved him toward a gate at the top of a few stairs. The gate did not open but there was open space between the gate and the steps and hands reached out and pulled the lifeless person inside.

And then I woke up.
