SCREAM! RPG horror game

About this time of the year, I try to see if anyone's interested in playing a slasher RPG (i.e. an RPG designed explicitly to run slasher scenarios that might be capable of running other tangential games), ideally I'd like to get a full gauge of the interest before Halloween, so I can be started on or before that date. Here's what I'm looking for:

   
• A very trope-tastic game
• Gratuitous violence required, gratuitous nudity preferred, and drug/alcohol use optional.
• A high player count, ideally between 5 and 10. I can hack it as long as players are in the mid range of post size, say between 8 and 20 lines per post. Players whose characters die can always run NPCs other than those designated as killers.
• A slightly female heavy cast, but will take an approximately even mix if slightly female preferred.

I've also got a few ideas I've batted around over the years in rough order of preference:

   
• Gopher Lake Massacre: A group of High School Students are tasked with cleaning up an old summer camp in a nearby town owned by the family of the richest character in the hopes that the camp can be revived. Older cast members would be relatives of the students, or other curious locals.
• Haunted House: I'll be honest, my Visual Novel World ad got me interested in including a haunted house idea here, but this ad uses a different system. Anyway, the house is one of those nice big ones with secret tunnels all throughout, and the cast would all be students of the same professor, whose field could be something legitimate, or in a field like metaphysics or parapsychology. This one could also be a reality TV show crew filming some sort of ghost hunter type show.
• Dog Eat Dog World: The group is filming either a reality TV show, or a horror film, but people start getting eliminated for real.

      
• Alternately, they could all be death row inmates tasked with eliminating each other to reduce the expense of having the state do it, and allowing the last inmate to go free. This one might require a bit more private messaging in order to allow players to set traps and not telegraph to the other players where the traps are, etc.
• Risky Business: The characters work in a questionably moral, but legal business, such as a casino or strip club. Someone who believes that either the business is sinful, or that it has personally wronged them seeks damages in a very visceral way.
• Pick Your Battles: Characters all belonged to the same military unit, and some incident from their past is coming back to haunt them.

Yeah, I copypasta'd that (hence why OP originally said 18+. I also posted the check on a site that's pretty strict about that. E has different rules and I'm following those). I'd have to go find the original threads and delete them to avoid continuity issues.

I was meaning to ask you, the others are veterans of Gopher Lake, but I'd need to go find the old threads to delete them all to avoid confusion if I were to start that game. Do you have a particular bid of interest?

The system is built so that's not a guarantee, but it also rewards making tropey mistakes so it might work out after all. Unless there's a black guy or something. Hahaha, I kid, horror has racist tropes, but I don't specifically plan on engaging them. I like character death to be egalitarian.

We really do need to get some votes on which scenario to run other than the SCREAM! RPG veterans. The advantage of running the setting they played in is they can just post their old sheets here for reference (if they even have them). The advantage of running one of the other scenarios is I don't have to go dig up the old threads and delete them.

I looked at all the stories and the Gopher Lake story does sound great, although I feel like repeating the same storyline might have people wanting the story to follow some pattern from last year, and then maybe something new and fresh might be more fun?

I always loved the ghost hunter shows so I really like the idea of people exploring a haunted house, but to be entirely honest I think there's not a single story idea that I actively dislike :)

Two years ago. It imploded. I think the players who were willing to come back understand the need for some changes to the events, even if the original idea is intact

Might do, yeah. Actually I'm of the opinion most of the scenarios are going to be fun. Some will be more impromptu than others due to incomplete formulation of ideas, but that won't detract from the fun I think

That's the great thing about horror. Unless it's more thriller, you got a pretty good idea what you're getting into. should I take it as a vote for Haunted House?

Not bad, and perhaps it's on top of of a large hill with a winding path leading up to it that can be easy to go off, so there's rumors about the surrounding area also being haunted, but nothing substantial?

Heh... guess it is. I'm actually surprised a non-mod came here with that detail. Well, I guess that cuts out the old game just because the old threads are hanging around.

Slightly negative actually, if only because if I want to run Gopher Lake again, I literally have to take that route. The only positive is knowing with a certainty that's almost absolute that I don't want to do that, which honestly makes selection easier since the only other nods have been toward Haunted House.

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up, I have some solo threads that are keeping me busy, so I will be delayed in this, but also that I'm keeping it open. Since mentioning the haunted house, I saw no objection to it, those who are familiar with the system can write new or reuse old characters and post them here for confirmation on the Haunted House game.
