I remember when water was just water. Thirsty? Get a glass or even drink from the garden hose if outside. :)
If it were up to me, those water filled plastic disasters would be long gone. If anything, bottled water is harmful to both you and the environment.

Perhaps I really should pick up a few decent filters for some of my friends and family.

Where I'm from, tap water has the same quality as bottled water, or water in cartons. Scientific reasearch proved this, yet roughly half of the people here are still ''Scared'' to drink tap water, even though it's the same quality

You'll often find bottled water is tap water... or at least from the same source...

I drink mostly hot beverages, so water gets boiled anyways.
