I didn't join just think a healing cleric might be a good idea, that is there to also help with the groups ratings as she gets naked and sweaty with her patiants.

Laughing Hyena

Anyway if one needs a healer I'll fill that niche so long as one doesn't mind a twist on the typical healing cleric of healing. :-)

A pervy war priest might do well in this endeavor. And as for the race of the priest I was thinking either half orc, halfling, tiefling or elf.

Though I should note that my character are male and since there's only one slot its going to be quite cutthroat.

Inerrant Lust

Eek! Two more people to choose from (Although more people to dissapoint. T_T) ...but only a net gain of one. Sorry to see you go, Some Guy.  :-\

And just when I thought I was starting to figure out who to pick...

@Laughing Hyena; Interesting. How very un-elf-like. I like it, but keep going. The more information people give me, the more informed a decision I can make about the party's composition. :P And I always enjoy a good subversion on the typical cleric of healing. ;-)

@RubySlippers; Hmmm. Heh heh. There will no shortage of publicity and exposure during this campaign. While you're far from being the best in the field, at level 10 you're still a league or two above, say... 75% of the industry. Besides, you're protagonists! Even if the setting isn't all about you, the campaign is. ;-)

Laughing Hyena

Well as far as the elf fighter goes, he is boisterous, direct and an utter showman. He knows he's there to entertain and as such he considers adventuring for what it is. A sport, akin to gladiator combat and the monsters are the opponents and the guilds are his sponsors. He likes the spotlight and seeks to remain within it as much as possible. Should he find alluring females he is quite lecherous but also quick with his tongue though he may have rotten luck in such endeavors all the same. He isn't put down quickly by rejection as the next adventure is always around the corner and determined as he is he intends to keep his star burning as bright as possible and keep rising through the fields.

As for the healing priest, he is a complete pervert but not without morals. He refuses to cross certain lines personally though if others make the move for him he does not hesitate to jump upon it. This is the kind of man that is very easy going and makes you wonder how the heck did he become a priest. He listens to those who wish to confess sins and woe to the lady that catches his eye and wishes to earn punishment as a form of penance for he takes a hands on approach. He entered the adventuring business because it gave the church good publicity and a decent outlet for his natural tendencies. Wielding his choice weapons he uses his magic to be battle ready and aid his allies when they need his tender touch. Willing to stand at the front lines and beat in skulls or trade banter, trash talking and insulting those who are his foes. A purely decadent priest.

Good, I'm in I'll whip up busty hot curvy cleric healer of the goddess ,I'll find one diety that will do maybe a minor diety from some exotic land she's from, and her armor will be minimal for modesty when families might be watching.

Will be a human, now to find a pic to base her off of.

How about her? https://elliquiy.com/elluiki/images/8/8d/AnoukaRemy_02_Tits.jpg

This looks interesting. You've got a wide range already, but I'm going to throw in my own two cent pitch. An archery type. Probably Ranger, since I like a touch of magic, with an eye on Order of the Bow Initiate in Complete Warrior. Race wise Elf, probably, no need to get crazy obscure here. Maybe Elf Ranger substitution levels but I don't recall them being spectacular enough to further complicate matters. Plenty of feats in CW to look at, too.

Anyway, that's my pitch. No one else has offered a character who focuses on nonmagical ranged combat, so it does add variety to your offerings, but I'm fine being told I'm too late to the party. Pun intended.
In creativity, meaning.

Then I'll work on my elf fighter so as not to clash with the priestess.

Edited to adjust for the point buy system. Not as good as what I got from the roller but still awesome.

Also Edited to fit in a backstory now.

STR: 16 (increased further by ability score boosts)
DEX: 20 (Racial Bonus made this possible)
CON: 14
INT: 12
WIS: 10
CHA: 10

Name: Leander Korianthal
Race: Elf
Class: Fighter
Sheet: http://plothook.net/RPG/profiler/view.php?id=8268

Personality: Leander is the epitome of stylish close quarters combat. It is all about the show for him when he is working. He is boisterous, direct and an utter showman. He knows he's there to entertain and as such he considers adventuring for what it is. A sport, akin to gladiator combat and the monsters are the opponents and the guilds are his sponsors. He likes the spotlight and seeks to remain within it as much as possible. Inside or outside of the sport he has built his life around he is quite ruthless in his conquests for to show mercy would displease the fans as the next adventure is always around the corner and determined as he is he intends to keep his star burning as bright as possible and keep rising through the fields.

Outside of the adventuring spotlight he is quite the rich nobleman as he had invested much of his earnings into living quite high off the hog so to speak. His money goes into luxuries and his job whenever possible. Often spending time with drink, food and pleasurable company. He lives by his reputation in the adventuring circuits and often is quite direct in explaining things to people, to the point of insensitivity. The truth comes out with him quite easily and to deny that is to deny himself. This life is all he knows or cares for and goes tooth and nail to defend it and himself.

Should he find alluring females he is quite lecherous but also quick with his tongue though he may have rotten luck in such endeavors all the same because of it. He isn't put down quickly by rejection however as little stops him from simply moving on. He considers every woman a new challenge akin to the sport and is exceptionally dominant but there are lines he refuses to cross and he refuses to compromise his own unspoken rules of conduct and may the gods have mercy on those who would try to force that issue.

Backstory: Leander started arriving in the public eye in a minor role as a rookie "adventurer" starring in what was supposed to be a TPK feature event. The reason why was because being a former naive city elf, he was a guardsman in training until an opportunity came that seemed like a dream come true. Gold to set himself up for life so long as he agreed to star in an adventuring event and he always was a fan of the events. Unfortunately the director of this event failed to tell him the escape clause was only if Leander survived the adventure would be be paid. The formula for this was simple, get a bunch of novice adventurers to star in it with the promise of good money and good opportunity, and then get them all humiliated, exposed, abused and then killed off. It was incredible for ratings and it was quick cash for the director.

Leander however was a survivor at heart and after realizing the amount of danger they were in within the first encounter after a rather aggressive start in the challenge, he rallied the remaining party in an attempt to not just try and survive the adventure but escape the proverbial death sentence. That was their only chance. Leander helped them escape from the dungeons first then made their way up into the caverns where the ruins were held. They avoided as much conflict as they could by turning the dungeon's monsters and traps against the others to try and kill two birds with one stone, solved the riddles with logic and guile and when needed ran like hell to escape. In short playing smart and not going all half cocked.

Losses were about half way through the party when they got near the caves entrance only to find that the director had sealed them in to try and make sure they couldn't escape. It was through his remaining companions however that Leander survived as they braved an underground river in hopes of finding another way out through the waters. Each of them used Water Breathing to keep themselves alive at the point where they had to pull through the waters by a chain, air bubbles when they had to rely on that and stayed as close to the shallows as much as humanly possible. It was incredibly lucky Leander survived all of it and the price was all but two of his companions. The remaining were all dead, enslaved, or worse. Upon reaching daylight they ran for their lives to try and put it behind them.

Leander however could not let go of the horrors inflicted upon him by the director and swore revenge. Of which he has not yet gotten. That hellish adventure however gave Leander cult fame and vast experience and now being seasoned found legitimate sponsors. Leander's formerly timid persona was replace by a ruthless man who thrives on aggression and ruthless executions whilst wearing what seems like minimal armor, relying on speed to win victories. Of which he did constantly. His fury within combat was fueled by his will of survival and anger by the first adventure he ever took part on. Whilst this has cooled over time and forged him into a now stylish adventurer of considerable wealth and enjoys the good life it brings, few would recall those times when that TPK director mentally scarred him. Perhaps its all an act in an attempt to hide the horrors experienced or they have twisted him into this state. Either way he continues his life and his hunt for the one who changed his life for good.

Sigh...if you decide you need a fifth player, I'm open. I was thinking a Bard. I like bards. :p Anyways, a bard who's become quite popular due to...well, Bardness. Also has a few bestselling magical recordings. Sweating to The Oldies with Landroth, and Lullaby/Sleep, a recorded combination sure to cure your insomnia. We'll even put an elf to sleep! Recording not guarunteed to put Elves to sleep. That's just ridiculous. They don't sleep. Freaky pointy eared buggers.

Actually, unless he changed it, we're doing a 32-point-buy, not rolling, for stats

RubySlippers

Well the player above me rolled stats?  :-\

Point Buy is fine to.

Laughing Hyena

alright. I'll adjust for that. Pity. That was a pretty damn good set of rolls. :-) but what do you guys think of him? Like him? Stuff that needs tweaking?

Here is my gal Sio!  Short bio is she was born on the Material Plane (an Aasimar), was an outdoorsy girl, found out she had a strange bond with fey-creatures, broke into the 'adventuring' industry as an 'adult adventure' star (basically an adult film star aka pornstar) who only did lesbian scenes.  Became known for doing a lot of scenes with a variety of Fey (dryads and nymphs as her largest claims to fame), and became fairly popular as a dom and a bondage expert.  After a time, she decided to break into the 'true' adventuring business, using a chain as her weapon given her bondage background, and it has only gone upwards from there...

Hope that's good for a short bio ^_^  Oh, and for her build... I used the Magic Item Compendium for the equipment and items, the Champion of the Wilds ACF that gives her bonus feats instead of spellcasting, Solitary Hunting ACF to replace Animal Companion, and Strong Arm alternate Combat style (Power Attack, Improved Sunder, and Great Cleave for the respective levels of the Combat Style).  I can link whatever you need me to (I hope >.>)

Huh.  Looking through this, I'm starting to wish I'd signed up when it first started.  You're probably full-up by now, although if you aren't, I'd certainly love to join in.

Right at the moment, I've got a definite desire to play a Ghost character.  I don't have too much in the way of backstory ideas yet, but working out why she came back as a Ghost would certainly help there.  Mechanically, though, I think I could probably make an interesting semi-tank character by focusing on that ghostly innate Telekinesis supernatural ability...

Edit: And as a sample build of what I'd likely be using, I present the Shieldmaiden, who combines almost unassailable AC and excellent damage with healing and some minor party support.

Admittedly, though, direct-damage force effects (such as Magic Missile) are her bane...

DEXTER ASTRAPI
"Kuwabara kuwabara"

-Japanese prayer to ward off lightning

A scrawny and nerdy sort of guy, very interested in learning. The reason Dexter joined The National Adventurer's League is to meet some of the creatures he learns about in books to study them for himself. Also the money allows him to buy as many books and prayers as he wants. Before the show he spend most of his time indoors, flipping through dusty tomes. He would read about dragons and beholders finding all the different creatures amazing. Now he spends his time adventuring discovering the wonders of the world with his own eyes. The only problem is how embarrassing it is to have his every personal moment watched and could have it broadcasted around the world at a moments notice.

His fighting style is well, nonexistent. Most of what he does is give useful information about the creatures they encounter, like how dragons breath different things based on their colors. Other things he can do is read some of the prayers he has collected to supply his companions with boosts to help them with their battles. He does know a few offensive prayers, like call lighting. He is very skilled at controlling lightning. It's a bit of his specialty. There are other spells he can use to defend himself, but they're sort of mean and deadly. He doesn't really like using them, but in a life or death situation he has been know to pull the smoking heart out of his enemies chest. Afterwards he screams and has to wash his hands.

Laughing Hyena

Still waiting on this as it has such high potential. I hope to hear more on it. And by the way Kuniochi... How in the Frigging Nine Hells did you manage that sheet!?

Kunoichi

...?  In what way?  I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. ^^;

Laughing Hyena

Kunoichi

Ghosts get their Charisma modifiers as Deflection bonuses to AC. ^^; Add on full plate and a tower shield and, well...

Laughing Hyena

Oh dear god that is just horrid. A DMs nightmare. lol.

Acid Lips

AWWWW I would love to join but have NO  idea how to play D&d. *Whimpers* good luck anyways

Laughing Hyena

Always a first time lovely. Maybe I should help you learn?

Xiphon III

Do you still neeed someone? Because I play a decent bard.

Laughing Hyena

We havent heard back from the one behind this thread so I don't know what is the word on that.
