Only that the forums are a bit limited, as far as coding is concerned.

Still, I don't think that's a bad thing. And you can still use hex coloring for text; there are different fonts; you can change sizes; there are tables, even if they are limited.

For a roleplaying forum, I really don't think anything else is necessary. Nice to have, sure. But for these forums, where most socializing and interaction occurs as text-chatting and text-conversation? Not something I'd view as really necessary to have. I rather like the simplicity.

The reason SMF (and most forums) doesn't support free html editing is because of stuff like:

To attempt to steal people's passwords or at least their sessions.

I may end up adding more mods after we upgrade to 2.0, but what we have now works, and I'm focusing my own efforts on my own parser, not someone else's.
