A poem to forbidden love:

As we stood there above the rim,
gazing into the distant sky
I felt your spirit rise to mine
and we rose so very high

Alas, this time would be forgotten
for 'twas a forbidden thing
As we would return to the reality of life
we would feel loves painful sting

But for now, as I hold you warm against me
and feel your heart beat against my chest
we melt into one ethereal spirit
and fall lost in the last light of the west.

This is a great poem and I bet a lot of people can relate to it :P This is my favorite style of poem, I really like it :D

I think that you and I, my friend, have been in similar situations with similar people.

I enjoyed your poem. Thank you.

This one also calls out to me quite a bit now that I'm realizing that it's a theme that stayed under the radar for me and is something I've only recently acknowledged as something more than just a small blip in my brain.
