mm so far so good, btw people I would appreciate if you can find a picture for your character. It does not have to be real life, I can be anime or fantasy related but please search for a picture so people have a better view of your characters.

I think Im gonna go with my Pharasman monk since I havnt gotten to play her yet. She was made, assuming that the game would be set in Golarian but I can just change some names if we end up using a custom setting

Rathia Achærruš

Race: Human
Class: Monk of Pharasma (Quiggon monk archetype)
Alignment: LG
Sexuality: Lesbian

Description: Rathia stands at five feet ten inches tall and due to her life long training in martial arts she has a body that is the pinnacle of athleticism. Her pale white skin has many burn marks over most of her body which have never been able to heal naturally or with the aid of magic but she tends to keep most of them covered up. She has short black hair that has a natural part on the left side and dark brown eyes beneath the hair that falls over her forehead.

She wears a mix of black and maroon monks robes that allow for ease of movement and are cut off at the middle, allowing everyone to see the six pack abs on her stomach, and the arms, allowing full range of movement. Her legs are clothed in maroon silk ending in thick woolen bandages over her lower legs and sandals at her feet. She does have a long overcloak with her robes that covers her from head to toe but she normally keeps it tied around her waist and out of the way

Rough picture

Personality: A little dim at times but also curious and good natured. Rathia is many things but perhaps the most powerful aspect of her is her sense of justice. She is the kind of person who will never turn away from stopping evil whether it be someone getting mugged or cheated out of a deal. This attitude has gotten her into trouble in the past but she is not a person who will compromise with her beliefs no matter the risk

Background: No one, not even Rathia knows where she came from. When she was just a baby she was left on the doorstep of a remote Pharasman monastery in Ustalav overlooking Lantern lake. She, like many children, was taken into the church as an orphan and raised within the church. As was tradition for the monastery Rathia was taught how to defend herself through the use of martial arts and quickly showed herself to be a prodigy, showing rare natural talent for unarmed combat as well as a hard work ethic to master the most difficult of moves. By age ten she was already a peaceful and competent fighter as well as an accomplished healer

Rathia might have grown up around friends and a disciplined extended family with little to show for it in her life. She lacked the natural intellect to take up any kind of major trade or study but due to her special talent the masters of the monastery soon brought her up through a mix of rigorous martial arts training regiments as well as spending a few hours each week instructing her in special training which prepared her for the more difficult supernatural styles that were nearly unknown outside masters and hard working students.

However as she was taken away for special training jealousy grew among other students, especially when they began to see how the training helped her improve even more in normal sparring matches. One young man in particular by the name of Kor, the son of a famed prophet across the church, started doing everything in his power to surpass her. His dedication and hard work paid off making him the second most skilled monk in the monastery but a mix of Rathia’s own hard work and natural talent always kept her just ahead of him and her famed and loving personality kept her as the monastery favorite.

Kor’s  rivalry with her continued to the point where he even snuck into the ancient library and broke into the forbidden section to learn styles of martial arts forbidden by Pharasma because of their corruption of the soul. The temple was immediately put on lockdown at the time but because no materials were taken the masters could never find proof leading them to the culprit. Unwilling to punish all the students for ones transgressions life went on and each night Kor would practice the forbidden arts, further slipping away into madness

A few more years past and at age 17 Rathia graduated from the monastery’s decade long training regiments, becoming a Pharasman priest within the clergy. The church intended to send her out to smaller shrines and temples as a messenger and templar and as a graduation present the masters gave her a scroll detailing the progression of Quiggon arts. Rathia planned to leave the next day but things couldn’t be that simple, in a rage over the years of special treatment Rathia had received Kor snuck around in the night and murdered all of the masters in their bed and then started a fire to burn the monastery down. Rathia awoke that night to the sound of crying and feel of heat as the fire spread.

Most people would have run but Rathia first grabbed her pack and then helped the students escape. In the evacuation she received several burns that left scares over her skin but in the end she stood at the bank of Lake lantern and watched the monastery burn down to its ancient stone structure but watching it burn wasn’t enough for Kor. He confronted her on the lake bed, confessed his deeds, and with a sly grin threatened to murder every other student to the last child if she didn’t fight him.

Rathia saw the corruption from the moment, the way his skin and eyes looked weren’t just unnatural, they were evil. There was no doubt in her mind that he had been possessed by something but what she couldn’t say. Still she excepted on the condition that no matter what happened the students were allowed to go free and unharmed. That was the first real fight of her life and also the hardest one because the entire time she tried to talk him down and away from his path with every kick and punch. Ultimately she won but only just barely and she would have killed Kor if only to free him but in that last moment he asked for mercy. As much as she wanted to Rathia didn’t deal a death blow and instead left him on that sand bank instead turning her attention to the survivors.

She escorted the orphans and students south to the cathedral in Caliphas and left them in the care of the cathedral as well as reported the death of so many Pharasman believers and of Kor’s betrayal. What she didn’t expect was the political blowback from Kor’s parents who labeled her a heretic. Rathia spent another year in trial for heresy but was ultimately proven innocent because of eyewitness testimony but there were still eyes on her, the eyes of inquisitors and clerics who wondered if there was any truth to the rumors. Rathia might have continued with the church if not for the stares and the continued political wrangling but instead she decided it was time to seek out a new life as an adventurer

It's a world of my own making, however we could do something, we could say that those monks did exist in my world and when the church was burned down and both of you survived you were the last true monks. The rest of the students followed another direction or became merchants if you will. I could use him as a bad guy in my adventure so that will give you play in your background since what he did combines with what I have planned for the antagonist. However for this to happen you need to tell me about the archetype of your monk via a pm, send me a link or a book where I can read about them. But so far the story its good I will tell if you have to change something but pm me a little bit about the monk type first.

Brandon

The quiggon archetype is found here: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/monk/archetypes/paizo---monk-archetypes/qinggong-monk

Im actually unsure what Kor's corrupted style was but I like to think of it as a varient of either Hungry ghost or a martial art created by Devils

Miyu

on checking, you don't have any ki-powers until the fourth level I see. But I think we will advance fast enough to that lv with some of the stuff I have planned. So if you are okay with starting at lv 1 its fine by me. And about your antagonist I will see what I can do but he will be part of the adventure.

Brandon

Kor could or couldnt be part of the adventure. Its up to you, I just thought it was a nice story addition that could be used but didnt have to be used as well as a look into her character. Level 1 is also fine with me, I wouldnt have applied if it wasnt :P

By the way guys, from now on every roll will be made in http://invisiblecastle.com/ and the link posted. I think Natsume had a summoner in mind, talk it out with her and see what you two come up together.

Great -  i was  thinking about a summoner or sorceress myself  -
if you'd rather be the only one though, I can switch to sorceress.

Or if you'd like to give a girl a few suggestions, since you're experienced - even better!

Brandon

Actually right now I think we need a divine spellcaster like a druid, cleric, or oracle

Anyway, sheets is done except for money so with everything put together it looks like this

I'm surprised that Callie del Noirre doesn't have a sheet up.

Callie is a player I totally endorse for pathfinder. Though I don't think I have a enough noteriety on E! to give an endorsement. Still, callie is a great, inteligent and consistant player.
