The Concept

Drifters are supernatural beings with a long lifespan that were able to drift through times. Vampires, Shapeshifters, Witches, Slayers, Jumpers (time-travelers) and so many others lurk in secret, hiding in plain sight. All have a human appearance, most have an alternate shape or form. Beings that are dark, or light, or somewhere in-between, some aggressive other peaceful, but never does the war between the different factions reach the humans as exactly what it is. Oh, there were wars, crusades, inquisition, hunts, in which the humans took part not knowing that it was a part of this eternal conflict between dark and light. Those who dared to break the ultimate rule of secrecy were always dealt with swiftly either by their own kind, or by their natural enemies.

Drifters is a sandbox game. This means that it is system-less and that players come up with their own plot.  Feel free to explore history; the game is set up so that one can explore any moment in their character's past life, and not just the present, but also the whole world is opened to play and even more...

The Drifters have their own city, build deep into the core of a high mountain and accessible all over the world through a magical portal that no normal human can see.  The Underground City is the only place where keeping one's nature secret is not necessary.  It is neutral ground where the councils and factions meet in a peaceful manner... most of the time.
