I want to create a smallish Star Wars based game.

A Jedi of the New Republic is sent on a diplomatic mission. Her destination is one of the rim worlds. Whilst on the surface, she uncovers a plot by the Imperial Remnant, aided by genetically created force users.

She manages to escape her foes, but needs passage off the planet as her own ship has been taken by the Imperials and they have their men looking for her.

She hires a merc and his crew to not only get her off the planet, but also out of the sector, which is controlled by the Imperial Remnant, who have several ships in orbit as well as countless others swarming all through the sector.

The story would focus on the efforts to get my Zeltronian Jedi back to the Core. Of course, things would go badly enough that it wouldn't turn out to be a straight-forward little endeavor.

I would play the Jedi Consular. I need a small group of players to provide the crew of the mercs she hires to help her.

I'm thinking a crew of 3-4 people. No more to keep it small and manageable.

Any archetype is fine, a non-exhaustive list:

The Captain
The pilot
The engineer/techie
The hacker
The soldier/brawler

Or anything else you think might fit.

The antagonists would not be PCs but GM-controlled NPCs. Though I might allow some players to also NPC their own baddies.

Express your interest here. If I get enough people on board, I will post up a character sheet template.

Character sheet template:

[float=right][/float]
Name:
Age:
Race: (what race does your character belong to? All SW races (including extended universe) are allowed
Role: (what role does your character have on the merc ship?)
Background: (a short bio for your character)

My character:

Name: Leysha
Age: 22
Race: Zeltronian
Role: The Jedi who hires the merc crew
Background: Leysha was born on Nar Shaddaa. Her father departed before she was born, but according to her mother he had been a small-time crook and smuggler with whom she had enjoyed a whirlwind romance. Leysha’s own mother had the beauty that was so common with her people. As such, for most of Leysha’s childhood her mom worked at various nightclubs as an exotic dancer, most of the clubs owned by Hutts. The small Zeltronian was spoilt rotten by the other women working at the club, though once Leysha understood the true nature of her mothers work, she grew more fearful. Thankfully, her mother was a woman who could take care of herself.

Leysha saw another path for herself, though she was not sure how to pursue it. She had always been different, even as a Zeltronian child on Nar Shaddaa. She was often plagued by weird visions and she had eerily accurate premonitions. She rarely confided in anyone about these strange occurrences.  At the age of 16, Leysha left Nar Shaddaa for Ylesia. There she found a job at a cantina in a small mining community, where she spurned the advances of many of the rowdier miners. An attempt by two of them to rape Leysha when she was 18 resulted in her killing one of them with the knife she had concealed on her body at all times and maiming the other. With the local Hutts not liking the fact that a fairly useless girl incapacitated two of their miners, a bounty was put on her name and she barely managed to slip away, successfully stowing away on a freighter that left the planet the very next day.

Through theft and subterfuge she managed to elude the Hutts and she bounced around from planet to planet for the next year. She settled on Corellia in 10 ABY, where she briefly lived together with a human male called Jubal Kalan. Their relationship was based on a strong physical attraction and not much more, but the man did give Leysha her first real home since leaving Nar Shaddaa at the age of sixteen. It was also whilst on Corellia that the next phase of her life would truly start.  A Jedi, a Bith who had been one of Luke’s first apprentices at his newly formed Jedi Academy, came to Corellia having heard rumors of another force adept living there. The man he had been looking for, a Zabrak, had since departed the planet, but when the Bith entered a cantina that Leysha was eating lunch at, he immediately sensed  her untrained abilities.

The Bith introduced himself as Doose Vanar, Jedi Knight. He had been a Dark Jedi prior to Luke Skywalker finding him and turning him back towards the Light. He had been tasked with finding Force Adepts throughout the Galaxy. Leysha was already quite a bit older than the age when Force Adepts began their Jedi training back in the old republic era, but Luke Skywalker was taking any potential student that he could. After a long talk with Doose, in which he managed to explain many of the weird visions she had experienced all through her life, she said her goodbyes to Jubal Kalan and joined Doose Vanar to the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin IV, where she was introduced to Luke Skywalker. Doose Vanar himself was chosen to become Leysha’s master. Their relationship was not always the easiest, as the passionate, extroverted and strong-willed Zeltron would often times clash with the Bith’s seemingly introverted and aloof manners. But he proved to be a good teacher nontheless, and within two years, Leysha passed her trials and became a Jedi Knight.

Leysha’s first mission as a Jedi Knight was a diplomatic one to Gall, one of Zhar’s moons. She was to represent the New Republic, putting out feelers for the potential of Gall joining the New Republic. What had appeared like a tedious assignment at first turned out to be anything but that, when Leysha’s spotted a large Imperial presence shortly after arriving, her situation further complicated by her own presence soon being detected by her enemies…

Interested, interested....

Question though, because I'm curious: How do you see, if there is any, the sexual side of things being portrayed here?

RedEve

The sexual aspect of the game would be amongst the crewmembers. And the Jedi.

There will be opportunities for sexy time in between the dangerous moments.

The tension and dangers of the situation might even work as a catalyst to some couples/couplings.

I would make this plot-oriented, but smut will have a big place as well. Depending on individual preferences I would say the ratio will be somewhere in between 60-40 to 70-30. :)

Well if you decide to launch this little group - I'd love to be in! And play a female pilot.

I'm really curious about this.  I've seen your writing on here over some time and would like to see what happens with an interesting story-- I've never done a Star Wars universe, though, so I would hope not to be dead weight.  I've seen a slew of people claiming roles, but if there's room I'd like to be considered for one, at least to apply.

I didn't see anyone mention a captain yet, and while I tend to like the stereotypical suface-tough, loves their crew, lovably-rakish type, I am also open to other roles as well-- such as a more alien role as a warlike soldier, a slightly more humorous, spunky hacker, or a cyborg engineer who is fascinated by the interactions of tech and flesh.

Please consider including me on future discussions.  Thanks!

After seeing the new trailer, I need to scratch a star wars itch. I would like to indulge my muse and express interest, possibly as the ship's captain.

I'd say that I'm interested yet I'm afraid that I won't have enough time in the near future to check in. I will keep an eye on this one though.

Aiden

Name: Samson Shaw
Age: 42
Race: Mandalorian
Role: Captain and Semi-active Mandalorian Mercenary
Background: Samson spent the first part of his life serving under Tengo the Hutt, a mean crime boss on Nar Shadda. He was led to believe he was just another slave, serving the Hutt Mobster as an errand and package boy who was sold by his parents to settle a debt. Life was simple, Samson learned a lot by watching and hoping to rise up the criminal ranks.

The opportunity was lost as a group of Mandlorian mercenaries raided Tengo's casino and claimed revenge for their fallen brother. (Age 14) In the chaos, Samson was taken by them, as the group was pushed out (failed assassination attempt) and narrowly escaped the planet.

Samson learned the truth about his parents, the betrayal of Tengo and his relationship (uncle) to one of the mercenaries. He was the only son of Argus Shaw, a Mandalorian mercenary who was murdered while out on a job for Tengo. Samson was quickly adopted and accepted into the culture, taking what he had learned on Nar Shadda and his new training under his uncle. He was a little older than what was expected of Mandalorian children, but he was fully running missions with them by age 16.

Samson ran multiple jobs for the Empire and other bidders, his access and knowledge to Nar Shadda opened new jobs and contacts. In that years that followed he married, had a son and trained him before he set off on his own. His uncle was forced to retire and the rest of the group slowly did the same, many serving higher positions within their respective clans on their home planets. Samson continues to work now and then, even collected a crew for himself. His last big job was personal after he returned to Nar Shadda and killed Tengo for another Hutt who was more than willing to pay for it. Samson stole and kept Tengo's old Yacht, a Horizon Class yacht,The Rakish Rogue, a heavily modified craft that conceals its weapons and a single star fighter for shock and awe jobs or support when the job calls.

Aiden

Sorry for the triple post, but I was approved.

For anyone who joins, we can work a background on how, why the rest of the crew are together. I'm very open to connections/past history. Samson is very much an honorable rogue (Mandalorian honor, not some white knight honor code) with his eye on credits/financial gain.

He is semi-active, likes to do small side missions and enjoys hopping rim worlds or strolling through the seedy streets of Nar Shadda and other Hutt controlled planets.

#16
Name: Rama'vaet'izzeu aka Needles
Age: 23
Race: Chiss
Role: Soldier
Background:

The history of one Chiss cannot truly be told without a history of their family.  For Vaet of House Rama this is especially true as much of her present is drawn from the past of her family.  Once the House Rama, a vassal family of the Sabosen, developed a reputation of renown throughout the Chiss worlds for their powers of healing.  Masters of herbalism and in the arts of the body, they were said to be capable of stopping any illness short of death.   Entire tomes and libraries were filled the notes of their healers and apothecaries, centers for healing rising up wherever the family took root.  Such was their talent that their ascendancy to ruling house status took little time.  Yet that ascension would soon become their downfall.  A family of healers stood little chance against the games of the other House.  So the family turned to mercenaries for their protection.

Mercenaries proved useful, but only for a time.  The Rama family saw their coffers emptying as they tried to compete with the other families for prestige and rights.  Soon even the mercenaries smelled blood in the water with a few starting to rebel against their employers or push their way into the family rankings.  So the Rama used the only tool at their disposal, their mastery of life and death.  Turning their herbs and apothecaries against their enemies, the family proved a ruthless adversary.  First came the deaths of mercenary captains that refused to obey the family.  Those that did not die in what was known as The Purge, were brought into the family.  Military tradition married into healing families for an odd mixture.  On the surface such a marriage crafted peacekeeping forces that spread the healing arts toward the colony worlds where the Rama family strengthened their abilities.  In the shadows such a union crafted the Deathdealers, a military force that dealt poison and venom to the adversaries of the family.

The Rama family soon gained a reputation of compassion and fear as they soothed the pains of the sick, but could deliver painful death to their opponents.  Perhaps if their strength had lasted their House would have risen higher and beyond, but their fall came in spectacular fashion.  A rare moment of unity among the Ruling Families saw the Rama’s power slip away.  While their deadly nature grew and their fearful reputation protected them for a time, that fear turned into anger as the Houses descended on them in force.  The family was forced to turn all their holdings to the colony worlds of the Chiss, fleeing for their lives to the far edges of their outposts.  Such is the time when Vaet took her first breath in her mother’s arms, her father returning blaster fire against those that would see her line wiped out.  A life on the run unfolded before her even as she first opened her eyes.

Vaet’s parents attempted to grant her a standard lifestyle of study and rigor.  Discipline ruled her life alongside the uncertainty of battle.  From reading she learned the arts of herbalism and poisoning, from day to day life she learned to hide and fight.  The combination served her well when her family could no longer run but had to fight.  During the hail of blasters that followed, the child was gone and her parents were sent to the world beyond.  Nobody among the merchant vessel noticed the red eyes of the stowaway that now called their cargo compartment home.  Only when her destination came about did someone find her and from there her life descended into the criminal world.

Tengo Hutt was not kind to the young girl found hiding in the cargo hold.  He considered anything in the hold his property, including her.  At first her physical bearing and exotic appearance made her an ideal treat for the soldiers.  Only when the first lay convulsing on the bed, foam dripping from his mouth as he gurgled his final words another use was agreed on for the girl.  Early years of cartel life were spent mixing potent chemicals and poisons for Tengo.  Synethic drugs to addict the unwary.  Vaet conducted her business with cold detachment for the misery she caused, all the while perfecting the arts of battle her parents taught.  Life beneath the Hutts was never a luxury for her as she was considered little more than property.  Promotions followed as her tactical abilities were realized, but still she lived at the end of a short leash.

Vaet learned from history.  Like the Rama family, her Hutt master trusted too much in those not drawn to him by loyalty.   Time saw her become a valuable assassin for Tengo, a killer with little equal both from the shadows and in warfare.  Her commands were followed without question as she lead covert operations against other crime lords and her reputation became infamous as she could leave her opponents writhing in agony with a touch.  Needles she was called and was so feared.  All the while she watched her Hutt master for his weakness, using her fearful reputation to plant a push forward a need for his death.  Finally she caught word of a man coming for Tengo, a man that could bring the entire operation down with his blaster.

On the night that Samson came, Vaet shifted the guard.  A simple matter as she had the bulk of the detail move to engage a rebellion at the local factory.  She quelled the concerns by posting herself as his personal guardian.  When Samson came she was there, staring down his blaster.  She made sure to stand between them so that the Captain would know it was here wish as much as his desire that allowed what came next.  There was a sweetness in hearing the slug cry when she stepped back and into shadows, disappearing so that the Captain could finish his business.

Pumpkin Seeds

The end is left open in the hopes of making some joint adventures with others in the group before we embark on this journey.

I need to hear back from a potential player, but as of right now, it looks like the engineer slot might be taken too.

Aiden

Hey Pumpkin!

So are you looking to be a main crew member starting off?

I left it vague in my bio, but Samson returned to Tengo's part of Nar Shadda and killed him as a revenge/job a few years back (vague for plot reasons).

It is during this time, she could have fought against Samson, maybe convince her to look the other way? Or maybe saw this as her chance to jump ship and join up with him? This way, we have an solid established crew going on.

We have a Coruscant pilot and another Mandalorian player. Working on background now, but integrating our histories will solidify them as a crew.

Pumpkin Seeds

I could see her allowing for the assassination of Tengo, at least that is how she would see his success there.  A shifting of the guards at his insistence of course so that Samson had a clear chance to get at the Hutt.  Then maybe she just showed up to come aboard his ship type situation.

Aiden

So Samson had his gun pointed at her and she basically had a choice to fight...or look the other way. She looks the other way.

In the battle, his ship was destroyed, but he did take the Hutt's Yacht, so maybe she offered air support? The Yacht has a star fighter, so I pictured a high speed air chase, out of the city until they hit orbit? She docks and later she sticks around?

Pumpkin Seeds

Could be fun.  I definitely want there to be an air of mystery as to way she made this choice.  Fitting for her race and style.

KieraJade

Our pilot was approved!!

Name: Todra Cole

Age: 30

Race: Corellian (human female)

Role: Pilot/Fighter pilot

Background: Born on the outskirts of Coronet, Corellia’s bustling capitol city, Todra was the only child of an engineer and his homemaker wife. Growing up, she learned to love the spaceships her father helped design and build. She would fall asleep watching the holonet of their progress against her walls every night. She dreamed of nothing by flying the ships off of Coronet and out into the galaxy.

By 12 she could drive anything that moved and by 14, fly anything they put her in the seat of. She was so eager to start her life, be away from the quiet days with her family that she forged her age on her application and at 16 was accepted into the Empire’s Pilots Academy. Her parents begged her not to go. But Todra was always headstrong and impulsive and was soon plunged into the Empire’s world. Where she was stymied. And stagnated. Like a flower, she almost wilted under the pressure to conform.

But her points kept racking up and the Ace’s kept on coming. And the talk of rebellion was something done in such secrecy, she was almost unable to uncover the way out. She graduated and was sent to her squadron – but never showed for her first duty station. Todra disappeared from the Empire’s radar and into the Rebellion’s embrace.

She wasn’t happy with staying a squadron pilot, however. Much too independent, she took to the smuggling lifestyle like a pro. Her specialty was running blockades and sneaking past the tightest of security. During this time, she met Samson, who was running a crew of his own. While they were fast friends, it was always loyalty to whom they worked for that won out. So while they’d exchange blaster fire once or twice, but she saved his life as well.

Now, she piloted his ship and was quite happy to do so.

With the engineer near-approved as well, I have a full complement and am considering starting the game (as soon as the final CS gets the all clear).

So unless I get a really fantastic extra concept sent to me, this will likely be the crew.

Ixy

Name: Delix Reever

Age: 29

Race: Kuati cyborg

Role: Engineer

Background: The girl who would become Delix was expected to succeed.  Born among the pampered elite of a thriving Kuati merchant family, she knew luxury and power came with responsibility-- to be above, and separate, from the dregs of society, and to rule responsibly with the exponentially huge tracts of wealth that her family had accrued.  The Reever family was famous for its broad mastery of commerce-- wealth that spanned systems.  Celebrities on Kuat, the Reevers were followed like royalty- the epitome of merchant success that threatened to breach the realm of sovereignty and political power.

The girl was the youngest of three daughters, and she was in many ways the favorite of her mother and of the public-- pretty, charming, intelligent-- brilliant in debate and history, with an adorable amateur fascination with robotics.  Though her shrewd sisters worked their power plays and paved their way with scythes of cunning, Kuati refrained from the harshest of inter-house competition and, instead, was the public darling of her family's name.  While her family expanded its power-base, she charmed the public with her affable nature and virtuous appearance, and began the inevitable rise to fame that would pave a way to a future in politics-- perhaps one that would have ended in a Senatorship.

This was too much success, too fast, for rival house's liking, and in retrospect it may have been an act of retaliation that made her into Delix... of course, it could easily have been punishment for a double-cross, or a warning to avoid exploiting wealth in an unfriendly system, but whatever the cause, everything came down in a ball of fire.

it is still unknown how security was breached, or what force was responsible, but the method used to strike out at the Reever family was sophisticated and merciless.  Her oldest sister, Talia, was slated to accept a Telbun and further the line's prosperity, and Delix was accompanying her as honor escort as they shuttled to a luxurious island sanctuary. Strategic assassinations of the Reever's security forces were carried out in coordinated movements, and their shuttle was fired upon from orbit by an unidentified assault craft, destroying it utterly.  From the remains, Delix's body was retrieved-- though alive and in a coma, she had suffered 3rd degree burns over most of her body, as well as traumatic brain damage.  Her sister's remains were obliterated.

The family spent a fortune-- easily the cost of a sizeable cruiser-- to restore her to 'life'.  A team of masterful cybernetic doctors and neurologists provided her with a replacement dermis, organs, musculature, and peripheral nervous system, as well as some key functional units in her brain to restore motor function and consciousness.  Sadly, she was never the same; she lived because of prototype cybernetics in a simulation of humanity so real that, to many, she was a living miracle.  But she was changed-- much of her brain was reconstructed, and though functional, she was not the Reever girl any more.

Much of her memory was lost permanently, though speech and motor function remained unimpaired, and missing memories were replaced with ascertained data from family records.  She could not perceive these 'memories' as part of her, though-- she began to unnerve people, including her own mother.  She became utterly absorbed into her preoccupations with technology, robotics, artificial intelligence-- what was once a hobby had become an obsession.  She abandoned her careful tact and natural charm in favor of calculations, seemingly unable to differentiate her own motives from commands she was issued.  Rival families looked on with pity and, in some cases, smug glee as the Reever line hung all its hopes on its remaining "living" daughter.

The being decided to adopt a new name-- Delix--as she constructed a false identity with the intention of leaving her home forever.  Fully aware that she could play no part in the careful political games of her family, and seeing that their own financial computers far exceeded her own capabilities at trade management, she smuggled herself off of Kuat and carefully eluded the family's persistent search for her.

In the rim worlds, she traded her skills for short-term passage with Captain Shaw's crew, and without discussing her motives, she soon applied to, instead, join the crew long-term as engineer and technician-- her skills are masterful, but it is not out of a desire for profit that she remains-- rather, it is in the hopes that she can learn from them, perhaps be accepted as she is, and begin a slow, and ageless, search for purpose-- seeking some spark to reconnect her once bright soul with the machine that she has become.

So are we all tied into Samson's last adventure with Tengo the Hutt?

Aiden

Our pilot and soldier yes, possibly Dane if he changes his concept.

Ixy, do you want to establish a longer background with all of us? Or be the new person, more of a passenger as we start (going off your history).

From what Redeve wants, she will be seeking passage off the rim worlds towards the core worlds, have a feeling it won't be that easy.

Pumpkin Seeds

Ixy

Yeesh, tough choice there... I love to establish background, because it helps so much with character interaction to have some kind of a backstory.  But, with this concept, it might be a little different; she's cold and detached by nature, and half the fun will be her trying to re-establish human feelings and connections... for that reason, I'm okay with being a new-ish person, but I would like to have some kind of connection, even if it's just an agreed backstory with one PC.

Do we have threads for the backstories?
______________________

Aiden

Nope, nothing yet. I just PM'd and posted in this thread how we are all linked.

Newish sounds good, maybe she is also one of the people seeking passage to X planet, and since the Jedi adventure sends them off course, she is stuck with them.  XD

Pumpkin Seeds

Well, depending on how you want the interaction to go there could be a link between Needles and the assassins that essentially came after her.

Ixy

That sounds as reasonable as anything; she may have ulterior motives, but there is no doubt that she would have needed smugglers to travel without notice until she could reach a system where she couldn't be recognized.  After some 'elective' reconstruction of her appearance, she may finally be anonymous enough for employment.

Is it reasonable that she may have paid her passage in prototype schematics, then upon reaching their destination, abruptly changed her tune and demonstrated her tech capabilities as a "job application" to join the crew?  I'm flexible on timeline, and she could still be accepted to the crew on a 'trial basis'.  Warranty not included.

note- I'll be editing my character post to clean up the writing and formatting, but not changing the essentials.

How about, they landed on the current planet/space port after they took a hit.

She might have overheard them looking for engineer/repair, maybes it was up on the holonet for a few days. The issue is, the drive is a little more advanced than these backwater stations have seen. So que your girl, a deal is made, repair (maybe an upgrade) for passage off the planet.

I can see Samson sticking his foot in his mouth with a "Hell, you fix my ship, I'll take you wherever you want to go." moment.

And on the day they are about to leave, Redeve's character (and the story) is introduced and we officially begin?

Basically meaning, your girl is on the ship a few days at the official start of the game.

Ixy

Sounds fantastic... looking forward to when we roll.

So are there any adventures after the Tengo job for our people to bond over or was that the last run?

Frelance

If you guys are interested and there is still room. I would like to make a Clawdite to fill the hacker position on the crew. The basic concept for be pretty simple he uses his ability to change to infiltrate and deactivate key systems or gather information. Nothing to complicated haha but I have always like the Clawdite race and this role seems to fit. Also I am about to do a bit of research and see if the Clawdites are still around in this time period.

Name: 2-1BX serial number 45BY7N32.
Age: 10 galactic standard years
Race: Medical Droid, upgraded and repurposed as an All-Purpose Droid
Role: (what role does your character have on the merc ship?) Medical / Ship's Surgeon
Background:

The 2-1B series were created as a joint venture by Industrial Automaton and Geentech in response to a demand for highly advanced medical droids following the result of the Mandalorian Wars.   Boasting an advanced analytical and diagnostic computer, the droid line was further enhanced by adding several heuristic processors by top physicians at the Rhynnal State Medical Academy.

This particular unit was purchased by a rogue scientist-turned-illegal technology trader, who needed a versatile, multi-functional unit to serve in both surgical capacity and, in a pinch, as an extra blaster in a fight.   The scientist upgraded the droid with advanced armor and weapons systems, so that when it was not patching up his hired goons it was laying down suppressive fire.

The scientist was something of an eccentric, and having lost his son when a nest of Gorogs invaded a peaceful farming colony, programmed the droid with some of his son's personality characteristics.  Over time, the 2-1BX unit grew quite fond of its owner and master, and was understandably quite distressed when the scientist was casually and unfairly killed by a gang of Gamorreans with whom he had a service contract over a small discrepancy in the number of warp drive engines he supplied them with.  Methodically and purposefully, the droid stalked and hunted down the Gamorreans, eliminating them one by one.  When the last of its master's killers had been slain, the droid, now devoid of a purpose, wandered idly and aimlessly in search of a new owner.

Some of the services the 2-1BX unit provides are:

 • Adrenal Stimulants: a hypospray cocktail which provides a temporary boost in dexterity, constitution, or strength, the effects wearing off after a short while.
 • Life support Pack: An advanced collection of equipment which facilitates the "field dressing" and treatment of wounds.
 • Repair Kit: A collection of tools and equipment needed for a droid to repair itself after being damaged in combat.
 • Antibiotic Kit: This kit contains an array of hypospray injectors filled with a broad chemical mix that quickly overwhelms viral or bacterial infections, effectively curing most known diseases.
 • Antidote Kit: This kit contains wide-spectrum antidote hypospray injectors designed to neutralize all known poisons.
 • Echani Battle Stimulant: This stimulant produces a chemical cocktail that sends a boost of adrenaline through the body, focusing the mind and bolstering the user's tolerance for damage.

Aiden

Luckily we have a big ship!

Remiel, will you be established on the ship with the rest of us?

Ixy has been on the ship a few days and will be meeting Redeve's jedi in the opening post (assuming).

Remiel

Sure.  I assume that a plucky band of renegades would have need of a medical droid...  ;D

Aiden

Awesome, so assume we picked him up on some job/mission? Anything in particular to reference back too or keep it vague.

It's up to you.  Maybe Samson stole the droid from Tengo when he ran off with his yacht; maybe he just picked 2-1B up from a trading post somewhere.  Whatever works best with the narrative. :)

Aiden

I like the idea of the droid being on the ship when Samson stole it and the exchange between them.

Possibly comedic interaction, not sure how willing the droid would be to the hijackers or accepting. Possibilities are endless, but if we go this route, its been a few years.

If there is something along the lines of "registering" yourself to the ship, for whatever reason. Samson still hasn't done it.

(I want to have some comedy like elements...intentional or not  XD )

I have closed recruiting for now. With just the already approved characters + 1 more CS I am waiting for, this is already slightly bigger than I had planned.

Thank you for your interest though. :)

Name: Muira Ordo
Age: 26
Race: Mandalore native Mandalorian.
Role: Force negater, infiltrator, gunsmith.
Background:
Muira was born on Mandalore to two members of the Mandalorian Death Watch. Her parents were undercover officers believing in the old ways of the Mandalorians. They raised Muira to be the best she could, make her the finest warrior they possibly could. When she turned four the little family moved to Concordia to be just a bit further away from prying eyes. When she was still young her parents honourably left the Death Watch, becoming freelance bounty hunters instead. They brought Muira with them on one of their jobs. It was a routine smuggling operation, however, the family stumbled across an ancient looking ship. The ship, unknown to them, was a Gree vessel that had drifted away from the station it was docked at after the station was destroyed.

The little family went to explore the little ship. Accidentally activating a blast door, Muira's right arm got crushed underneath the enormous weight. The ship activated its automated medbay where Muira was immediately brought. The medbay, equipped with strange Gree technology, scanned Muira and proceeded to graft a mechnical prosthetic to her arm. In time Muira would come to realize that the arm could assimilate metal, to use to grow with its user.

It was also around this time that the little family discovered Muira's "gift". During an assassination mission on what turned out to be a jedi, the Jedi had her father at the tip of his lightsaber when Muira suddenly pounced out. The Jedi could not see Muira in the force, and within moments the blade of the Beskar knife her father had given her was stuck deep inside the Jedi's neck. While the Jedi bled out he looked directly in the direction of Muira and said "Void... you are a void..." After much research, her father found mentions of people who were "Void in the force" The little family started cultivating her abilities, exploring the upper limits of her skills by testing her against force sensitive animals. In time Muira learned to harness her power to such an extent that she could, merely by being in the same room as a force sensitive, project her void around her making the force null. Among the other rather usual abilities for an assassin/infiltrator was her ability to be seemingly impossible to remember, unless she wanted to be remembered. She thought this ability might stem from the weak force sensitivity that almost everyone has.  While much more difficult, she learned during a job that she could focus her powers to turn off lightsabers by voiding the force in the crystal. After working several jobs as a solver of "Force related problems" Muira met Samson, who found her abilities could benefit his crew.

EquipmentIn her travels, Muira has compiled a collection of Lightsabers and crystals, most of them from Dark Acolytes of the empire, but some from Jedi who survived order 66 and who had gotten in her way or become her targets.

She also carries a long, slightly curved single edged blade made from Beskar.

As a gunsmith/weaponsmaker she carries a lot of tools for weapons manufacture and maintenance, some more unique than others.

I will send you my CS once i get off work.

Take your time. :)

I will probably only get around to creating the IC thread this weekend, Friday at the earliest.

I will try to create the character and OOC threads prior to then.

Added my own character sheet to the opening post.

The aspect of it that might be of most interest to the other players is our starting point: Gall, one of the moons of Zhar.

So Samson and his crew should find themselves there as well at the beginning of the game. Whichever reason for their presence is fine, a job would of course make the most sense. :)

Aiden

I think I'm going to go with what I discussed with Ixy.

They took some fire, probably from an Imperial something and had to dock for repairs. In that time, they meet Ixy's engineer a few days shy of the official start of the game.

So the ship is fixed and ready to go. Maybe Samson will be checking the holonet at the cantina? Possible jobs in the nearby area, something that leads to the run in with the jedi.

KieraJade

Todra could either be with Samson, getting a drink and eyeing the locals.

Ooooorrr...

Having a fun little chat with Remiel's character on the ship! Or anyone else's character who is on the ship. Cause she could also just be on the ship, getting things ready to go.

I think it would be funny if one of the women insisted on referring to 2-1B as a "walking vibrator".

(totally with Aiden on the comedic elements!)

Maybe the droid could refer to Samson as "Insert Name Here"?

Aiden

"It's Samson Dammit"

Hello Samson Dammit...register you to this ship.

"Why don't you just register it captain"

My character just got approved so I am posting it here. Also to tie him in with the crew I am open to having him just join or we can have him know one or more people from the crew and joined a few months before after either he contacts them looking for work or they contract him for a job. Let me know what you guys think might work best.

Name: Kelix Rexil
Age: 29
Race: Clawdite
Role: Hacker
Background:
Kelix grew up in relative comfort while his parents worked as imperial agents. He remembers very little of his childhood before he was enrolled in an imperial academy under a false identify and told my her parents to make sure no one found out that he was not human. What he did remember of his early childhood was his parents both teaching him how to control his shape shifting since only a very few of their superiors knew that they were not human but clawdites.

After word of the Emperors death he was pulled from the imperial academy by his parents during the confusion and the three of them boarded an imperial supply ship by impersonating three of its crew. Once on board they made their way to the atmospheric control center and hid until the ship was clear of the what was soon becoming a battleground as the ships in orbit took sides and the imperial remnants started to fight for power. Once outside they were in a non hostile system Kelix who had spend the time working his way into the ships central computer started systematically venting the atmosphere or pumping toxic gasses into all sections of the ship. Once everyone was dead the three plotted a series of jumps designed to keep them as far away from imperial forces as possible while they made their way to Zolan. As they made their way through hyperspace Kelix learned that his teachers had always known what he truly was and that very few of their kind ever made their way off of Zolan.

Their aim had been simple once they reached Zolan space. They contacted the Clawdite resistance sending the rough area they intended to crash the ship. When the ship finally finished its crash landing it was only a few kilometers away from one of the largest concentrations of clawdites on the planet. For the next few years Kelix fought in the Civil war that consumed the planet but by the end all he wanted to do was leave so he took a job on a mercenary ship and slowly made a name for himself as a spy as well as a hacker.

Not sure what the civil war is for your character's planet entails, but we can say the ship arrived a few months before the IC game start and he joined up ever since?

He would have to impress them, but his skills would be a given. Does he reveal he is a clawdite?

The civil war was between the clawdites and the Zolan for control of the races home planet. The clawdites are a splinter species of the Zolan. having him be part of the crew for a few months sounds good to me and yes he would reveal what he is to make sure he got the position and could get off the planet :).

Try sending Redeve a PM, I think we are full but she might make an exception for good sheets/potential plot ideas.
