A privately run hotel with a restaurant and bar and comfortable clubroom, with gardens and a outdoor pool exists near Tokyo's international Narita airport. Foreign visitors are welcome as well as local business people. Generally only the financially comfortable can afford the place's services.

The staff consists of a manager/ess and all his/her employees are maids, or at least wear cute maid outfits. These vary in detail but are generally of a similar theme; cute, sexy and borderline degrading to the wearer.

The maids are submissive and do this work because they get a sexual high from it. They do all the work at the hotel - cleaning, sending off and collecting the laundry, chauffeur and delivery jobs around the city, serving at table, bar staff, chef and kitchen assistants, reception desk clerks, porters - everything.

The hotel charges high tariffs because the maids are on offer included in the price. From simple things like watching them move to and fro around the clubroom or bar with trays of drinks to calling one over and asking her to bend while her body is fondled; from professional quality escort duties at conversation or cards, to spending a night bound in a bed while several men take turns at her body - the maids are available for all sorts of uses and entertainments.

The game would require several maid characters (all female) and several customers, who could be male or female. The maid players could remain in the game or leave when they wished (going 'off duty'). The customer characters would stay a while then leave the hotel (leave the game). Later the same player may wish to bring his or her character back or s/he could generate a new one.

I plan on having a general public clubroom thread which would include a restaurant area and bar and beyond that, private rooms for customers to take maids if they so choose. I will also have a swimming pool outside where there will be endless summer sunshine or at night-time the comfortable warmth of a balmy summer evening. The idea is not so much as to grab a maid and disappear the moment you arrive but to spend some time relaxing, socializing with your business associates, dining or drinking. During this time customer characters would actually socialize as well as talk to, or about, the maids who would move about the room serving drinks and such. This social aspect of the game is important to me to prevent the game descending into a bunch of 1-on-1 pairing-offs as so many groups games tend to do. If people wish to the public area of the game could even be a form of ordinary socializing space on the forums - your character does not in fact have to ask for the services of a maid at all.

There will be a maids dormitory thread where the girls may socialize and enjoy off-duty rest between shifts.

While its possible that some players may enjoy the 'lottery' of having a random customer ask a maid for her services and I therefore won't restrict that, if some players wish to arrange their character to have a scene with a specific player or players you can do this via PMs or an OOC thread. If players prefer this method of partnering up, please respect their wishes.

I'm going to set certain standards of literacy on this game and registering your interest won't guarantee you a place until I have had a chance to look at your writing and playing style. If I don't list you in the games player listing which I'll keep updated, it means you have not been successful in applying. I may also require you to make changes to any character profiles you offer up so that game balance is maintained. Characters will be required to have images (it is a good idea to find these first then build a personality around the look than vice-versa since fitting images to pre-existing exact criteria is very much harder) and these must be photographs of real people, not artwork. I find the use of artwork for characters tends to give a game a certain mood which for this game I would prefer to avoid. There is no rape in the hotel; the maids do this out of choice so I'll be setting the game in the Bondage Human Small Groups area of the forums.

All of you who have applied are extremely welcome! Thank you very much for your interest!

I've just whizzed off a couple of PMs to people who expressed an interest privately and have asked them to drop a note on this thread so that everyone who wishes to play is aware of who all the other players are. Out of courtesy I prefer to do that and not spring players onto the group as we are about to start since I did have an unfortunate incident some months ago where a player quit one of my games because another player joined who they didn't get on with. I do wish people would contact me by PM so we can try to resolve things without disruption - OOC communication is THE most important thing in group roleplays - so with that unhappy experience under my belt I'd like everyone who wants to play to state that here. Thank you.

Once that's done and everyone is still happy I'll set up an OOC discussion thread and a character bio thread with a template.

It would be very much appreciated if everyone played Japanese characters. You don't need to know anything about Japanese culture, other than staff at such places are always incredibly polite and helpful, and even a manager would bow and scrape and act in a mostly submissive manner. Such dutiful attitudes would not be exploited by the customers for the most part since it is part of the culture to reciprocate equally politely so arrogant guests would be rare. As long as people bear this one social aspect in mind (even then, as a customer its not set in stone that you have to act this way) then just a Japanese image for your character will go a long way to establishing the mood.

If anyone's interested in using a few scraps of simple Japanese language we can do that too, but that is again just for mood, and in no way necessary.

Players playing guests may be foreign but I'd like to keep them in the minority. Please check with me first. Sometimes westerners miss the social cues and act somewhat brashly but the staff would do their polite utmost to take such things in their stride. My understanding is that most western visitors to a big Japanese hotel are struck by how efficient and clean everything is (even by western standards) and by the high standards of politeness, personal cleanliness and even cuteness of the staff.

So, yeah, enough of that. Just a few guidelines there. If anyone with experience of Japanese culture can add in a comment or two as we go that you think will add an interesting something to the game, please do.

I have decided to standardise on the maids uniforms. I've taken this step because the large choice of cute maid images on the net comes with an equally large selection of clothing styles and I feel that a place like this hotel would definitely go with a standard uniform. Details later, but consider that any character image you use should be mainly for facial features and general personality.

No problem Jecht, this is the sort of game designed to allow players to join at any time and take a break at any time. Characters can also just have 'chill time' parked in the bar or lounge of the hotel or at the poolside for some general relaxing so there is no pressure at all to join at once nor to post more frequently than you deem comfortable. Over the Christmas break I anticipate a slow down anyway, so feel free to take your time.

If this is still accepting players, how rigid is your restriction on foreigners? This could be an excellent opportunity to bring Edward back after his short-lived 'tenure', since it's exactly the sort of business he would frequent anyways.

Surprisingly everyone so far has been wonderful to me and they've all created Japanese characters (or Japanese-mixed in one case) so in fact there are no western guests yet which means Edward will be the first so he won't upset the balance at all.

Please drop his bio in the characters thread. There is even someone on the reception desk right now - ChaNeko's girl Watanabe Yumemi so Edward could check in fresh from his flight.

How would a new customer come to know just what kind of limits and amenities are in place at Maid Mansion?  Is there an initial brochure or something to explain what the maids are there for - to completely and willingly attend on every kinky need or want of their guests?  Just checking.

I was thinking that there would be a display neatly folded on the guest's desk inside their room, subtly highlighting the kinds of services offered that are not normally found in even a 5 star hotel.  But that is up to you.

I've been using a computer console in reception to list my character as to where she is and what she's doing... is that appropriate.  I do not mean to make it sound as though she is 'off the clock' at any point.  She is merely informing the upper staff where she is to be found and when she is available for a new task.  She is additionally checking it for when she is personally requested by either a guest or a staff member to attend to a new service - does this work for you or should I change her system?

Do the maids get punished for infractions with a demerit system or something else?  What kind of authority does a Senior Maid have over the others?  When would a managerial lesson have to be incurred and are the managerial staff likely to abuse their rank for privileges or are they just as in love with their jobs and unlikely to risk loosing them with a bout of personal pleasure while on the clock?
