Prudence, justice, temperance, courage, faith, hope, love...
debate any other aspect of my faith these are the heavenly virtues. this flawed mortal is going to try to adhere to them.

Culture: the ability to carve an intricate and beautiful bowl from the skull of a fallen enemy.
Civilization: the ability to put that psycho in prision for killing people.

I myself was pretty sure that the class list said that heartless was unavailable to players but I could be mistaken *shrugs*
Psycho Mantis: You must spend every day pretending to act like you're falsely letting on that you aren't not unbetraying someone you don't not purport to allegedly not work for but really do! How do you keep all this shit straight without having an aneurysm?

it said no, but i was wondering if it'd opened up since most characters I'm seeing are heroes and anti-heroes, but few out and out villians, even if they are villians with good intent, and bad methods.
I find a lot of that in these Rp's, lots of anti-heroes, and dark characters who "just want love"
but no out and out villians other than the occasional rampaging psychopath everyone hates

well in the roundabout scheme of things "Actual Villains" are hard to come by these days because there are few people who enjoy playing them. Heartless arent the only "True" villains in the kingdom hearts worlds i mean look at Maleficent, Pete, Hades, Xeonhort and the likes

The reason heartless are unavailable in the beginning is because of their potential to become as powerful as that of Xehanorts; human-like heartless. And because the heartless will play a bigger role as the game moves forward I want to spend some of the initial beginnings focusing on the human characters.

Most of the people you would class as out and out villains haven't been introduced at this point. Besides, things aren't that black and white. The reality is that characters are dark with reason, or dark without; the difference is how their handled and how their personality and the situation around them aids/interferes with their nature. Don't be quick to brand dark characters with motivation as 'love obsessed.' Indeed some will want that (in fact one very poweful character of mine does) but its not so simple. Not at all >.>

I enjoy playing villains. I actually have several in other RPs and once my Heartless character is allowed to play a bigger role in this RP I'll be using him a lot more.

Can't get enough of RPing? Check out my site, it needs members, all are welcome.

I love playing villains myself but i prefer to be more elegant and reserved....I'm more of the chessmaster type of villain. In fact the way I play my characters leans very much in this direction at times.

nice to see others who play decent villians. Persionally I like playing good guys when I can, but always got stuck with the villian's role, so I got good at it, masterminds are especally fun.
We just usually have too many heroes so concider Nym a future player, I wasn't planning on overpowering him, but having him grow in line with the heroes, a seed that is taking root.
Nym was not intended to be the final boss, but the kind of Rival villian that appears in some stories.
Kinda how Riku grows from an island kid into a powerful villian before being defeated and redeemed in the game.
yeah i played the two main kingdom hearts games

Hokay! Now that I've photoshopped the image I want to use, I'll start working on the bio.

Its gonna be someone who can manipulate plants as part of her battle. Namely vines and thorns.  :-)

Sorry if i was a bit miffed earlier, but i recently finished a game on another site because the villian I faced was a whiny bitch who went on and on for half a page about his emo backstory and how he's not such a bad guy... this is of course after he killed a couple hundred people, raised them as zombies, and goes on a bloody rampage through the countryside, all because kids tormented him for his powers when he was five...
this was the third time this looong backstory was recycled in the same campain

It's quite funny though; the scenario you describe there could easily have been something interesting in the right hands. The idea of a villain so disillusioned with the world that he can still blame them for his past despite the horrors he's committed could make a worthwhile villain. But, as you say, if this came off as too emo and without good characters surrounding him it comes off just like that.

I don't mind the idea that you want to play as a heartless, I don't (especially considering their prominence as the primary antagonists) but I'm adamant about holding off on usage of them as characters until later so we can explore some of the other interesting qualities of KH concepts.

Name:  Rosen
Gender: Female
Age:  23
Appearance:

Personality: Rosen has a slight playful side that doesn’t put her above joking, that said however, events has made her lose some of that fun side.  She isn’t dour by any means, but she wont joke unless the situation is right for it. She has a friendly personality, but has some slight trust issues, always looking over her shoulder. Her heart is filled with light but it’s less of a beacon of light and more a flashlight, surrounded by shadow, just waiting for the light to flicker. She is aware of it however, and tries to keep herself in check, but there are a few things that can set her off. Because of her world’s history, she gets nervous around the over reliance of technology.

Home World:  Lillian Tellus, what was once a world that blended nature and technology in a beautiful symbiotic relationship, was soon invaded by the heartless and became a twisted version of itself, with technology blocking out the sky and choking smog, while whatever wildlife is left now feral and mutated.

Theme: NieR - The lost forest
Class:  Keyblader

Weapon: Keyblade
Name - Eternal Wisteria
[-] Nobilis Silva : Wisteria's main ability is the manipulation and summoning of plants. Its much more potent if plants are around, but she can summon plants from the ground if need be. She can even do it in complete absence of nature, such as in a building, but it takes alot of effort for her, so she prefers to avoid such places.
[-] Sentis Theatrum : Summoning several Thorns and briars, Rosen throws her keyblade into the air which is snagged by one of the spiny vines, and controls it like an extension of her body, while using her free hands to manipulate the thorns in directions she desires.
[-] Vepris Maceriei : Summons a dome or wall of vines and thorns to block blows. These are magic resistant.

Heart System: 75/25

Background Story: For as long as Rosen can remember, she was trained by her master and surrogate father Silius . She remembers him speaking of finding her as a young child in a briar patch near the capital. After rescuing her, he spent years trying to find her parents but ot no avail. Seeing how strong of heart she was in those years, he decided to raise her as his own, and to become a keyblade wielder like him. She, like many others in her world, was attuned to the nature that coexisted with everyone, and used that to her advantage in her training. While the heartless were rarely an issue, one day, long after Rosen completed her training, her Master made an offer for her. Join him and travel the worlds to stop the heartless. It sounded like a great idea, but something about him felt wrong, and on the first sign of hesitation, Silius attacked. At first she figured it was some sort of test, until during the fight she looked around her and found a massive swarm of heartless had invaded. Her master screamed at her to join him and leave. Refusing to abandon her home world she ran from him to defend her hometown. She was strong, but not strong enough to face the army that swarmed her. As her eyes began to close she figured it was the end of her. Until she woke up in the middle of a Gummi ship set for Traverse Town.

Soon enough she found the fate of her world, corrupted by the heartless. Filled with despair she began a senseless slaughter of any heartless she could find, until she heard a name that might have information. A nobody by the name of Ussilix. Now she looks for answers where to find him, and find out what he knows of the heartless invasion, and if he was responsible, kill him.

Well Thorn I can safely say that Rosen is approved. And I have to admit your world idea is interesting and syncs well with your gal's personality and abilities. Welcome to the fold!  ;D

Thanks.

Should I post this in the character sheet, and then just introduce myself in one of the threads? I had no idea you had so many world threads open already  ;D

Pretty in Pink

Character four!

Name: Kadeira Kadania
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Appearance:

Personality: Bubbly and happy, the outward appearance of being untroubled hides the true darkness that roils inside of Kadeira, who goes by Katie for short.  She spent the first eight years of her life after learning to read pursuing magical knowledge to the corners of Spira on her mother's coattails, following her everywhere as a diplomat.  This has given her a slight sense of entitlement, but also impressed upon her the need for people to help each other.

Home World: Spira (Final Fantasy X/X-2)

Theme: Porn Star Dancing (Extended Uncensored)
Class: Black Mage (Warrior)

Weapon: (Crescent Moon Spear)
Name - Sandivar
[-] Enemy Scan - By either striking or sighting on the enemy with the crescent blade at the tip, from with a beam of light lances out, and performs a complete scan of said enemy.
[-] Nocturnus Luxis Aegis - Forms a protective dome of grey light from the tip of the spear, shielding her from all harm.
[-] Tengu Mortalis - ? (Can't use it yet.  Gift from mom on the spear.)

Heart System: Dark - 10/90

Background Story: Even Kadeira doesn't remember much of her life, but that isn't because she never really paid attention, but because of one of her recent experiments caused a near total memory loss, her skill only good enough and quick enough to protect her knowledge of magic itself, so that she does not have to start over completely.  But now, she has no memory of where she is from, only remembering her name because her spellbook has it inscribed on the inside of the front cover.

However, her life was fairly simple.  Her mother was a diplomat for the Al Bhed just after the final defeat of Sin, contrived by the daughter of a high summoner and her Guardians.  So her mother traveled a lot, as did Kadeira.  Kadeira was a first, one of the first Al Bhed to be taught how to use black magic, allowing her access to many of the small libraries of magic, especially those kept by private citizens.

It was not long after she turned fifteen that her mother told her to go out into Spira, and do what she could.  It was during her travels that she learned of a spell that could allow one to travel to different worlds, a ritual of sorts.  However, in the attempt to perform this ritual, it went horribly wrong somehow.  It shunted her to a different world, but rather than leaving her completely intact, assaulted her memories, nearly destroying all memory of what had been before.

Now, she resides on Wonderland, having only been here a few months, hiding herself and avoiding the Card Soldiers as much as possible.

Alright I added Meia and put her in same entry as Shada :P

Hello everyone.

Vergil1989

Name: Beatrix.
Gender:  Female
Age: 30s.  (Unsure of age.
Appearance:

Personality:  Loyal, proud, maybe a tough arrogant, but she is perfect in her manners to those she serves with unquestioning resolve and dedication.  Beatrix has always been considered the best in swordsmanship, having supposedly killed a hundred knights on her own.  Her deeds are known far and wide, even across other worlds since her own is gone to the Heartless.  Enemies can expect no mercy from this ultimately and deadly powerful warrioress of countless battles on her home world.

Home World: FF 9's Gaia.  (Closed off, destroyed by the Heartless.)

Theme: Rose of May FF9 - lyrics by katethegreat19
Class:  Paladin.  (Will be a Keyblade Wielder if that's cool.)

Weapon:  A double bladed straight sword.
Name - Save the Queen.  (Will become something else later though, again if it's ok.)

Keyblade Name - Way of Duty.

[-] Ability Name & Effect - Duty's Resolve.
Because of her nature, Beatrix becomes infused with even greater strength and speed that lasts as long as her strength does.  Glowing a soft red the color of rose petals, the swordswoman becomes an even greater threat to those that threaten her or those she has sworn to protect with every breath in her body.

Rose of May.
With sword in hand, Beatrix carves a Rose into the ground at her enemies' feet with several beams of red light before said 'Rose' blooms and ensnares all within the symbol in suffocating petals and thorns.  While it costs her much in strength, Beatrix can calmly walk away once it is activated because nothing has escaped it yet and lived to tell the tale.  (Or so it shall be when acquired lol.)

Heart System: Depending on your actions you will either be blessed by light or consumed by darkness, L/D. The more good/evil things you do, the more your heart will change. Example: If Character A has a system of 10/90 and then murders somebody then it will become 5/95. You will be assigned a default based on your class. You can keep track of this on your own.

Light - 90/10

Background Story: It had been three years since the war had ended between Kuja and his allies, with herself, Zidane, the Princess who would become Queen of Alexandria and her neighbors, Steiner of the Knights of Pluto, and everyone else that had stood behind the side of light those dark days, and Beatrix had found happiness in Steiner's arms as he had found in her own.  Three years of peace that would not last as the first wave of Heartless arrived to destroy everything they had saved and fought to protect.  The then General Beatrix had lead the defense, as was her place on the fields of war that had found Alexandria again.  Zidane and the Queen were safely evacuated thanks to Steiner and the others behind them, despite their strong protests, but even the airship wasn't safe as more creatures flew to match them in the sky.  Even so, they were able to escape when help arrived unexpectedly from what she would later be called Gummi Ships that ripped apart the air raid before it had a chance to do any damage.  Pirates they might have been, but it was clear that they had lost much as well from the way they fought and died for a world they knew nothing about as Beatrix helped clear a path through the shadows that had become physically manifest for the civilians to run to the castle docks to prepare to leave.  It would take five days before Gaia finally fell, five days of General Beatrix and her completely female Alexandrian elites falling one by one, leaving Beatrix alone to fend off the horde that knew no end, but over twenty thousand souls had been saved in that time with another ten well on its way out of the planet thanks to backup arriving from out of the world.

It would be three months before she was fully recovered, but Beatrix was is now a member of the Defense Committee on Radiant Gardens, having proven her valor and her skill and her willingness to lay down her life for those she protects and serves.  She has trained many a warrior already to her former standards she kept in her own elite guards, and has already become well known as the Rose of May because of her beauty and deadly grace and unprecedented skill with a blade.  While she has no keyblade, it is rumored it will only be a matter of time before she does gain one.  To Beatrix who has survived her world's fall, it would be an honor but also a heavy burden to bear such a sacred weapon, but if the gods deem her worthy, she would not hesitate to use it for justice and the light.

Meia was one of the pilots in the battle above Gaia that had helped get more than her fair share off the planet and into safe lands elsewhere, and they have become fast friends.  Gordon on the other hand is a few ranks below the former General, and has taken more than one beating from the Rose of May during training with melee weapons so that he relies not only on his firearms and long range attacks should an enemy get too close.
