Interested in having a live- RP about a high school. Everyone can pick their own character and live that character through the board. Everything goes on all at once. We will be starting with the first day of school a few people should start out as freshman. later on some upper class can fill in. If anyone is interested you can just jump right in. I hope it works out

** It's the beginning of a new year at Pine View high school in Florida. Everyone is hanging around outside the building talking and having fun before school begins. Talking about their summer's and how much fun this year is going to be.**

studpuppy22

*James walks out of his mothers car and steps onto the side walk. Looking up at the school that seemed to be never ending he questioned whether he would like going to high school, leaving the comfort of the younger grades behind him. He walks over and sees some of his friends and greets them*

Hey guys, what is everyone up to

* he tries to speak confidently but does not know what he is up against.  He knows that he would rather be in the comfort of his own home battling monsters and conquering lands on his computer where he believes his strength overpowers his fears*

Yuna Miya

Yuna arrives at the school for the very first time. She was a newbie and had dreaded this day ever seance her father had told her they were moving here. She felt so out of place now her clothing was so different from all the rest. Her black short skirt and soft white blouse fit her body but they made her stand out. She quickly walked towards the doors and too the safety of a empty corner just hoping not to be bothered.

studpuppy22

James was wearing his favorite brown cargo pants, a dark blue t-shirt and his dirty once white sneakers. The bell rings and the new year has begun. High school was no longer a thought of the future. Walking through the doors and into the hallway, James couldn't feel anything but confusion.  He turns his head to the right and notices a familiar face.  A girl wearing short jeans, a tie-died baggy t-shirt and black flip-flops.  "Stephanie", James says, "I have no idea where I am going". Stephanie replies, "What is your first class". James takes a glance down at his schedule that he had printed out earlier that morning. "It says Biology". Stephanie replies, "That's perfect we have the same first period class". Stephanie grabs the paper out of Jame's hand and skims the rest of the paper.  "Looks like we are going to be seeing a lot of each other this year".
Although James didn't know much more that Stephanie's name and face from being in the same middle school he all of a sudden felt a warm comfort.  James and Stephanie walked to class just moments before the second bell rings.

Yuna Miya

Yuna enter the school behind the the boy and girl fumbling along the hallway attempting to find her classroom finally finding it just as the second bell rang. She took the seat at the front next to the teachers desk.

studpuppy22

James was a very organized boy who felt he needed to be over prepared for everything he does. As class began, he had already set out a notebook and pen. The teacher calls each student up one at a time to get a textbook and as more name were called on the list James became worried because his name had not yet been called. "James Robertson", the teacher yells over the loud commotion as the rest of the class is having its own conversation. James walks up to the front of the class room and notices the last Textbook on the table.  The book was ripped at the binding and looked like it had been dropped in a puddle and run over. James asks the teacher, "Mrs. Robertson, are you sure there are not any more books left?" The teacher replies, "Sorry James, that was the last one." James, the neatest boy in the entire grade was left with the grimiest biology text book.  It was so destroyed, someone had even crossed out the word Biology and wrote "F*** this class" on it.  James returned to his seat and thought to himself.

dougss

Elsewhere in Biology was Corey, who failed the class last time around, as he had most of his classes. He had an immaculate book, as they say, rank has its privileges. He eyed the perfect desk of James with a slight nod of understanding. It wasn't that he didn't care about school, or that he was incapable of learning, it had more to do with him being TOO smart for his own good, and not really doing any of the busywork that plagued education. He realized too late not doing busywork would only make him repeat things he already knew. Since he didn't need a book anyway, he decided to switch with James.
He taps him on the shoulder.

"Hey. Uhhhmmm.... Dude. Guy. Uhhh... you wanna trade books? I realllly don't give a crap what book I have."

Divine Brutality

Lisa sat quietly in the back of the biology classroom admiring Corey from afar. She was wearing simple blue skinny jeans and a nice dark blue blouse. Her shoulder length black hair slightly curled into a neat fashion. She didn't understand why he never seemed to notice her. after all, she was the head cheerleader on the varsity team. She pouts for a minute then forgets about Corey momentarily as she tries to understand what the biology teacher could possibly be saying..

studpuppy22

James shows Corey a look of excitement. This might be the first time James was actually happy about being in High School. "Hey, thank you" James replies. "What is your name?" James had noticed that he had never met this boy before but was to nervous to question it. He was just grateful to finally not have to worry about being able to read the pages in the disaster of a book he had just given off to Corey.

dougss

Handing James the book, Corey replied "I'm Corey. I'm technically a Sophomore, but I have all Freshman classes. Well, I passed English and Band. But..... 2 out of 8 isn't exactly a stellar record. Relax dude. High School is way easier than they let on. All you gotta do is keep up with the work, don't be afraid to ask for help if you fu- mess... up, and you'll be gold."

Corey stretched and caught this cheerleader staring. His first instinct was to check to see if he had something on his face. Corey was the "nerdy" type, t-shirt and jeans to school, didn't cut his hair often, overweight but built like a football player. He was into Roosterteeth and Magic: The Gathering, video games and underground music. He dabbled in music editing, but he mostly just spent his time combing the Internet for new music. Not exactly the type of person to catch the eye of popular girls, or so he thought, and that was fine by him. He didn't have a problem with dating, he just never did it. Mostly because it seemed like there was no one TO date. Girls either had boyfriends or were "out of his league" as they say.

Divine Brutality

The teacher had stopped rambling on about the course at hand and assigned a worksheet designed to help students become familiar with the text book. Lisa was chosen to pass out the papers to the class.

She approached the bar where James and Corey sat and handed them each a paper. "Hi, I'm Lisa!" She stood awkwardly for a moment wondering if the boys would say anything.

dougss

Corey accepted the paper and waved, smiling
"Hello, I'm Corey, that's James. How are you today?"

Corey leaned back in his chair, then putting on sunglasses, nudged James
"I doubt I'll be awake for this class for much longer"

Before he could fully begin to nod off, the teacher caught him.
"Corey. Glasses, off."

Divine Brutality

" Hi James. I'm great." She said to Corey.
'Now he at least knows who I am' she thought to herself as she starts to pass the rest of the papers out. She giggled to herself as she heard Corey being scolded.
Lisa returned to the front of the room to give the teacher the left over papers. She purposely passed by Corey's desk and lightly brushed against him as she passed.

'Lets hope this class goes by fast. I can't stand bio'. Lisa opened her book and began on the worksheet.

dougss

Corey looked at the worksheet and sighed.
"This is the kind of busywork I hate. The kind of thing I can't stand" he muttered to no one in particular.

He felt Lisa brush against him on her way to her desk. He wasn't a ladies man, but he understood when someone goes out of their way to nudge him, it was intentional. He thought he might have to get to know Lisa better, to see if he was crazy or if the cute cheerleader was actually into him.

Corey did his best to focus on the worksheet, but he couldn't. He put the glasses on his desk in such a way the reflective lenses caught Lisa. He caught her staring, a lot. He blushed and crossed his legs, trying his best to get the worksheet done, glancing at the clock on his phone so the 45 minute class would END.

Divine Brutality

Lisa was trying to get through the worksheet but often found herself distracted by Corey. What was it about him that caught her eye? She wondered if he had decoded her subtle hints of interest.

"Stop staring, Lisa!" she quietly scolded herself. "Someone is bound to see me gawking and will no doubt think I have problems." She glanced up at the clock delighted to see there are only 5 minutes left of class. She was eager to end the busy work of biology and hopefully move on to something interesting.

The teacher calls out, "Can someone please collect the worksheets and bring them to my desk?" Lisa doesn't budge.

dougss

Corey volunteered.
"Of course, Corey. I assume you'll be helping students in the tougher portions?"
"I guess if you say so"
Corey collected all the papers and paused at Lisa's desk. He subtly slipped a note on her desk he scribbled after finishing the worksheet. Putting the rest on his desk, he coyly returned to his seat, nudging James to get ready to go, pointing at the clock

"Next class I got is Algebra, then World History."

Divine Brutality

Lisa's attention was instantly on Corey when she heard his name said by the teacher.
'Maybe I can find someone into convincing him I need tutoring.' She thought to herself. She smiled as Corey walked to pick up her paper and was surprised to see him slip a note onto her desk. She couldn't help the butterflies dancing in her stomach.

" Next class i got is Algebra, then World History."

Lisa quickly searched her bag for her schedule in hopes of a match.

" 1. Biology  3. English2      5. Home Ec.
  2. Algebra  4. World Hist.  6. Cheer/PE"

She was ecstatic that she had at least 2 guaranteed classes with Corey. When the bell rang, Lisa got up and tried not to run over to Corey.

"Hey Corey, wait up!" she called after him.

dougss

Corey caught Lisa just before she tripped over him.
"Woah there, steady now. Did you see my note?"
He helped steady her, then motioned towards their next class.
"We should walk and talk around these parts. Not enough time to idly chat between periods. Lets roll out"
Corey yanked James and dragged him along, moreso making sure the new kid didn't get lost rather than to kidnap him, but his attention was fully on Lisa.

Divine Brutality

Lisa flushed scarlet red as Corey helped to keep her from falling. How embarrassing that was for her, a top cheerleader, to lose her balance like that. She must not be thinking.

"Oh, eek. Uh, thanks. I did get your note..." Lisa pulls her schedule out of her pocket and shows Corey. "Looks like we have Algebra together. Are you any good at math?" Lisa walks briskly to keep up with the boys, secretly glancing over at James and noting how quiet he is.

" I'm not any good at math." Lisa adds quickly.

dougss

Corey used his free hand to clasp Lisa's and pulled her alongside him
"I'm decent at math. Well. What's your answer silly? Yes or no? Do you want to spend Friday afternoon/eve with myself or not?"
"Okay James, there, you go into that class. That's the English. You have fun now"
Corey nudged James into the next room and continued his brisk pace, half dragging Lisa behind him.
They reached the Algebra room, and Corey flamboyantly kicked - yes, kicked - the door open, dragging in Lisa behind him.
"Sup Mr. Price"
"Ah. Corey. I was afraid you'd be here. Well, take your usual seat. Who's this young lass who you've become acquainted with?"
"Lisa. She's cool."
"Oh, I was afraid of that. Young lady, do you know this man is incredibly insane?"
"He's kidding. I think."
Corey sat Lisa in the front row, next to him.

Divine Brutality

Lisa felt the electricity in Corey's hand run up her arm. She held on to his hand, hoping her ecstatic glee wasn't giving her away.

"oh, I see. And yes! ..Um, yeah I'd like to do that.." Why was she stuttering? Lisa was a confident girl. She needed oxygen. Breath Lisa.

" oh, uh.. bye James" She said mostly to herself.

Lisa looked shockingly at Corey as he kicked the door open and thought to herself, 'how very classy', all the while trying not to laugh hysterically. Corey was different, she liked that.

Lisa just stood quietly next to Corey as he and the teacher had this odd exchange. Seems like Corey failed this class also, though Lisa never had Mr. K before. Lisa sat in the chair Corey lead her to and took out a notebook.

She turned to Corey and mouthed "old friends?" while nodding her head towards the teacher.

dougss

Corey laughed.
"Uhhh.... more like I spent more time in his study hall not studying than doing algebra. And he knows it. I understand the material just fine. I just...."
"He never bothered to do the work, even when he had an entire period with me"
"Yeah.... that. But he'll teach you a lot, and you'll be able to master any high school math or science when he helps you. By the way, Friday, ride home with me, yeah? I drive. I'm old."

Divine Brutality

"oh, i understand completely." Lisa said politely. Well, I hope he's as good as Corey says.. I'll need all the help I can get.
Lisa turns to Corey and smiles innocently.
"sounds good to me. what do you mean you're old?" Lisa looks at him quizzically.

dougss

Corey flashed her a cheeky grin
"Have you ever met freshman with his driver's license?

Divine Brutality

Lisa's face was solemn.

"well no, i suppose not. exactly what grade are you? Surely a sophomore would also be too young to have a license.." Lisa was trying to work this out in her head...

dougss

"I am 16. Does that scare you?"

Corey shifted worriedly, the last thing he wanted to do was weird out the cute girl who actually liked him
"I'm still a regular guy, I'd still like to hang out Friday."
Corey stuttered, he was panicking and starting to make an ass of himself
*I am terrible with girls* he thought to himself

Divine Brutality

"Scare me? Not in the slightest way." Lisa gave him a reassuring smile. "We are definitely still on for Friday." He was only 2 years older than she was. That didn't scare her much, she just hoped she could act mature enough around him and not embarrass herself anymore than she already has.

Lisa couldn't believe it was only the first day of school and she already had a date!
Lisa recognized slight panic in his demeanor and smiled brightly at him. "I'm excited!" she almost squealed.

dougss

Corey beamed and nodded at her
"Awesome, sweet. I'm a bit excited too. I'm really not cool with the girls. I kind of fail. Which lunch do you have? 1st or 2nd? you should sit with me, and meet new people around campus."

Divine Brutality

Lisa cocked her head to the side. "Not cool with the girls? psht, you are obviously unaware of your capabilities. I have 2nd lunch. I'd love to sit wi-"
"Lisa! Corey! Enough chit chatting, open your books!" Scolded Mr.K. Some of the students were giggling.

Lisa hurriedly opened her book, not liking to be yelled at by teachers. Since when did class start? She avoided Corey's eyes so to try and eliminate conversation.
oh, how embarrassing.

dougss

Corey elbowed her and held up two fingers, signifying he as well had second lunch.
He didn't bother to open his book to the lesson itself, he just started the problem set.
He finished it while the teacher was still lecturing, so he did what he always did with his spare time in high school.
He promptly went to sleep.
The teacher ignored it and allowed him to doze off, that is, until he started snoring. Mr. K kicked underneath Corey's desk, and just turned his head and went back to sleep.
He understood math, he just hated work. Best way to handle high school was to sleep through it and hope for the afternoon, when he could off road in his Jeep.

Divine Brutality

Lisa was marveling at her luck. They even have the same lunch! She tried working on the problem but she just didn't understand. She hated asking teachers for help so she didn't. She secretly watched Corey finish the assignment and what fall asleep. Lisa giggled to herself and unknowingly alerted the teacher of the sleeping student. She was amazed that Corey disregarded the teachers kick and entered dream land once again. Once Mr. K finished lecturing, she kicked Corey's foot to try and wake him up.

"Hey! help me.." she whispered, "I don't get this." Maybe she did get this, or maybe she didn't. She didn't care, she just wanted to talk to Corey until class ended. Her big, light brown eyes stared at him, waiting for him to respond.

dougss

Corey blinked awake, leaning over the desk to Lisa, probably too close for personal space, but Corey didn't notice - or care.
"Alrighty, what's up now? How can I help?"

Divine Brutality

She didn't mind how close he got to her, in fact, she took it as a compliment.

Lisa started to write something on her paper..
" I don't understand this.."  Her paper read: "What are we gonna do Friday?"
She hands him her pencil. "Can you show me?" She gave him a devious smile.

dougss

Corey nodded a bit.
He wrote "that's a secret" and then grinned coyly.
He then mentioned that "x" was a representation of a number, and solving for "x" just meant finding what number x represents in that particular problem

Lisa pursed her lips and took the pencil from Corey.
" I see, so I would solve for x like this?"  she wrote on her paper " I don't like secrets" and gave him a challenging, but cute, look.

dougss

"Yes, exactly like that actually, you caught on quick."

He wrote back "well, then I guess you'll just have to trust me, huh?"

Divine Brutality

"10 minute warning class. I need your papers upfront before the bell rings."

Lisa begins to erase to notes and solves for x.

"I guess I have no choice but to trust you then, right?"

She smiles at him and grabs his paper from his desk and turns them both in.
"too bad I have English next, but lunch is right after. where do you want me to meet you?"
Lisa starts to gather her notebook and put it into her backpack. "That is... if you still wanna meet.." she adds quickly, trying not to sound too clingy.

dougss

"Sure, I'd like to eat lunch with you silly
Meet me at the door of the lunchroom.
I have History, so I'll see you then, yeah?"
Corey packed up his things, nodding at Lisa to start doing the same

studpuppy22

During Biology class James was to nervous to answer Lisa, feeling a bit at ease because Corey was speaking for him. As the bell rang and Corey took James by the arm he wondered what other classes they might have together.

As James stumbles into the English class room after being tossed in by Corey, he looks around and notices only a few chairs still open. Finding the seat closest to the front of the class he begins to notice he did not know anyone in the class. As he takes a seat, the English teacher Mr. Collins calls out, "Does everyone have a composition notebook. We will be keeping a journal of your first year in high school and will count as twenty percent of your grade. I want you to write a passage in it for the first 15 minutes of class every Friday." James scrambled through his backpack trying to find his notebook realizing he did not need it until Friday.

Throughout the rest of class he would occasionally drift off into thought about his first period Biology class and what had happened. James was not sure whether to be frightened or happy that Corey had taken an interest in helping him, but all James knew was that he was glad someone helped him find his next class room and he did not even have to ask. As shy as James was, he was always questioning people's intentions when helping him. This was the question with Corey also. James just hoped it wouldn't be to hard to make new friends.

Mr. Collin's tells everyone to pack up just as the bell began to ring. James realized he had not payed attention throughout the entire class. *sighs* as he scribbles down the few notes that Mr. Collin had written on the board. As James steps into the hallway he sees a stream of students roaming through the halls. Sneaking into the middle of all the commotion he finds himself at his next classroom.

James walks into History class and notices he is one of the first ones in the room. Taking a seat towards the front of the class room, he waits for class to start just watching the rest of the students stumble in one by one.

Divine Brutality

"Okay, I'll see you then!"

Lisa put her stuff away and the bell rand.

"See ya" She said to Corey and scuffled out of the classroom quickly.

She wondered what he had planned for Friday. What should she wear? Ah, the big question.
She found her English class and sat down in the middle of the fourth row next to one of her other friends that also made into onto cheer. She was the first ever Sophomore to make it to varsity captain. She had been cheering all her life though, it was like second nature.

Lisa did her best to try and listen to the English teacher drone on about grammar and what not.
She was gonna date a 16 year old. Could it get any better?

A crumpled piece of paper landed on her desk and startled her. Back off, bitch. was all it said. She looked behind her to try and see if anyone was making eye contact. She got nothing. What could this possibly be about?

studpuppy22

Still living in dream world James had been thinking about who he might possibly know in his History class. Looking around he kinda remembered a few of the kids two guys and one girl but had never really spoken to them before. James had gone to a middle school with a graduating class of two hundred students and it did not help that he was very shy to begin with. As he was thinking he had remembered hearing Corey tell him that after algebra he had History. Not even five seconds after he had remembered this Corey busts through the door of the room. James had begun to like Corey, he was growing on him. Maybe he would have some friends after all...

dougss

Corey slid next to James, gave him a too emphatic pat on the ole' back, and nodded.

"Relax dude. Fo. Reals. You're already starting to make acquaintances. If you have second lunch, I sit with a good crew. I'm bringing Lisa.... we even have a date Friday. Now we just need to set YOU up with someone, and it'll be all good to go. But anyway. How was your last class?
I know it's daunting. Part of why I gave you a bit of physical help. It's needed on the first day, to jump start the experience. Being late to class is... well, bad, so you gotta walk fast, with purpose. Now that's not to say you can't have fun. But yeah. Speed. Determination. Lolz. That's how I look at it."

Corey leaned back and whipped out his textbooks.
"Lez do eeeeeeet"

studpuppy22

This was the first time James felt comfortable with himself and being in a new school. You could even see a smile starting to form on his face. "haha thanks"
James sat back in his chair pulling his books out getting ready for class.
"Yea, I have lunch next period with you guys. I have to drop some stuff off at my locker before I go the the cafeteria, but I will be there."
"My last class was pretty boring. English" James changed the subject the second he heard Corey say the word date. "How did you get her to go out with you so fast?" James was amazed at Corey's abilities. Before he could spit out his next sentence the teacher began calling attendance.
James took another look at Corey before facing the teacher. It was a look of comfort and happiness. James whispered, "We will talk later, if you want you can come over to my house after school."
James was never really the type of person to start conversations with new people or invite them to hang out, but he felt as if he had known Corey his whole life.

dougss

Corey leaned back to listen to history. He loved the subject, but always sucked at it. He was much better at the sciences, he couldn't wait to get to physics later in school. After sitting for a lecture he actually didn't quite get, he headed for lunch, clearing a path with his natural body weight and size, making sure James was sucked up in his vortex.

"Where's your locker young sire?"

Divine Brutality

Lisa hated her English class. Seems like she already made an enemy. Girls were such drama.

When the bell rang, she skipped outta class with enthusiasm. She gets to sit with Corey and his friends. Her cheer leading team didn't like that idea but who cares.

She walked over to the cafeteria and stood at the door, waiting for Corey to arrive. She couldn't hide her radiant smile. She was excited.

studpuppy22

James was able to pay a little more attention during History as his mind was no longer running a million miles a minute. To bad this was the one class James wasn't fond of. James had always had an interest in math, computer science, and sometimes even the biological sciences. His parents were both doctor's well his dad was a physician and his mom had a PhD in some fancy thing like molecular biology and neuroendocrinology. Like anyone knew what that meant.
After class Corey had escorted James to his locker. Well, he more opened a path for James to sneak through before being swallowed by the crowd of high school students closing in behind him.
"Uh, I think it's around the corner"
They get to James' locker and James switches out his books. The two of them then went straight to the Cafeteria to get some lunch.

dougss

Corey and James walked and Corey offered Lisa a hug.
"that's a nice smile you have. You should do that more"
Corey clasped Lisa and James hands, and walked them to his usual table.
He sat down with Thomas, Michael, Cooper, and Katie.

All 4 of this posse were sophomores, but unlike Corey, they passed their classes first year.

Thomas was short, fat, and red-haired. A jovial fellow who's goal in life was to make others smile, a goal he fulfilled daily. He DJ'd in his free time.

Michael was super tall. Immensely tall, towering at 6'7" and being skinnier than a rail, he was the stereotype for "eat 5 hundred cheeseburgers, lose 5 pounds." Michael was also a musician, but he played guitar. He wasn't in a band, but he sometimes gave private concerts on his acoustic guitar if he could find someone who wanted to sing with him.

Cooper was nice and average, a bit pudgier than Corey, but not as short as Thomas, he was 5'9" He was interested in Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, and video games. He ran a solid green deck with Primordial Hydra in Magic, and a Dragon Deck with 5 Headed Dragon in Yu-Gi-Oh. He was currently getting a perfect Paragon run in Mass Effect, and was nearly done with the first game.

Katie was shy, and "average" by societal standards, but she was actually quite a knockout. She liked her studies, and was intelligent. She actually liked to read Wiki pages on things her other friends were interested, so that she would know what was being said in conversation. She was bright, but not a know-it-all or walking encyclopedia. She just liked to know what happens.

Corey purposefully sat James next to her, gave her a nudge, then placed himself across from Cooper, sliding Lisa beside him, almost in his lap.
Corey then whipped out a deck of Magic cards, solid white Angel/Humans, with Angel of Glory's Rise.

He turned to Lisa "See, I'm not as cool as you thought I was" He giggled and turned to James, "If you need anything, Katie will be glad to help show you around"

studpuppy22

Sitting down, James looks over to Katie with a bright smile.

"Hi, I'm James" He almost felt as though he knew he would be good friends with all of Corey's friends. "Hey James, I'm Katie. How do you like high school so far?" she replied. He laughed to himself thinking about the excitement that had gone on earlier today. "It has been pretty good thanks to Corey. He has kept me pretty sane today."

Katie giggled in her cute soft voice. "He keeps us all sane."

James then looked over to Corey and Corey flashed him a quick wink.
*James had always loved card games, comics, and mmo's so he didn't find anything strange about Corey's epic deck of cards*

Looking back at Katie, James asked her, "Would you like to go up with me and get lunch."
Katie replied, "Of course, what are you thinking about getting? I can help you find it so you don't get stuck in line for half of the lunch period."
"Thanks," James replied with a quick laugh.

James had already come to like Katie. He had an interest in her and wanted to get to know her better.

dougss

Corey nodded towards his 3 male companions as Katie and James went off on their own

"I'm super glad I met James. He's basically a perfect match for her."

Thomas nodded "She really friggin is. Man, she needed a dude to date, and none of us were quiet enough at all to fit the bill"

Corey nodded, placing down a mana, tapping it, and playing an Elite Vanguard creature card, nodding at Conner to start his turn. "Yeah, I'm genuinely surprised she even tolerates our insanity some days." turning to Lisa, he said "I recruited Katie into our group much the same way I recruited James. By subtle force. It was surprising it worked, but she's really interested in our hobbies, even if she doesn't actively participate in. Katie loves to read and write. Her fiction is some of the best any high schooler has ever composed. We have a pool on how long it'll take until she's a millionaire author."

Lisa watched as the two boys played the card game. She didn't understand it and was trying to figure out some patterns.

"I don't think this stuff is lame. I just wish I understood it." she smiled at Corey and subtly scooted closer to him. Lisa watched the interaction between James and Katie and thought it was quite cute. She liked Katie, she seemed like an honest girl. God knows you won't find much of those on the cheer team.

She watched Corey in amusement.
"Subtle force?" She couldn't help from laughing, shaking her head and giving Corey a sweet smile. "You're forceful?" She didn't realize just how bad that sounded till after she said it. " uh.. you know what I mean.." She looked down, embarrassed.

dougss

Corey laughed uproariously.

"Oh, Lisa, you're fine. It's all good! So, Magic is a game that, at its core, is resource management, and using your available resources to the best of your ability to best your opponent. There are 5 main types of resource, called Mana, divided by color. White, Black, Blue, Red, Green. You can combine colors to make a deck that suits your play style, as each color is about certain things. You can only lay 1 mana per turn. Every creature or spell has a mana cost. You "tap" the mana to use it, so you can't just lay down anything you have enough mana for, you have ot budget it. Mana replenishes each turn. I hope that helps."

Divine Brutality

Lisa looked at Corey desperately trying to make sense of his words.

" I think I understand. Doesn't sound too complicated." she smiled reassuringly at Corey and continued watching them play. Her mind was wondering elsewhere though. What are we gonna do Friday, she wondered. Why won't he tell me? I hate surprises..

Lisa's tummy growls and startles her.
" I would leave my lunch at home." She rolls her eyes. Oh well.

TickleTongue

Steve a senior at the Florida school walked by the table, seeing Corey playing the game turned to Lisa asking "Aren't you my sister, Andrea's friend?"

Lisa looked up at Steve and studied him for a moment.

"I believe so." She wondered what is was Steve wanted.

She looked over at Corey giving him a confused look.

Corey gave Steve a glance
"Oh. Hi Steve. How are you?"

Corey unconsciously inched Lisa towards him. He liked Steve well enough, he just never had a beautiful woman this close to him before, and he didn't want anyone to steal her away before he had a chance to woo her with his plans on Friday. And he had thoughts of Serena, a girl who pined for him. Serena was not someone Corey wanted to associate with. She wasn't funny, she always one-upped people's stories, and she felt that because she had good looks Corey should be flattered she liked him. No, Corey was flattered Lisa liked him, because Lisa wasn't a total jerk about her looks.

Lisa smiled up at Steve, "I actually think she's in my English class this year."

She interlaced her fingers with Corey's and turned away from Steve. "Nice talking to you." she said, hoping he'd take a hint and leave. Andrea was a girl on the cheer team who didn't like Lisa very much. Probably because she wanted Cheer Captain. Too bad.

Corey felt his heart skip a beat. Lisa was holding his hand. He just had to make sure he didn't get sweaty. Turning back to his game, he showed his hand to Lisa, then told her which card she should use her free hand to lay on the table. he wasn't letting go anytime soon.

"See ya Steve."
The other three boys nodded as Steve walked off. While Cooper and Corey played card games, Michael and Thomas talked music. Corey checked his phone.
"Hey, everyone. Katie and James have been gone a while. You think they're somewhere semi-private.
Conner nodded. "Oh I hope so!"

Divine Brutality

Lisa played the game with the help of Corey, just enjoying the attention she was receiving.
She half listened to the others talk music and half trying to concentrate on the game.

"Wow, they have been!" Lisa gave Corey a teasing smile. "I wonder what those two could possibly be up to."

She also wondered why her and Corey weren't some place semi-private. It had hardly been a day since they started talking, but still. She was arguing with herself inside her head.

Corey laughed "If I know Katie, they're just chatting about whatever academic topic they both know a bit about. It's how she bonds with people. She's definitely a straight man when it comes to conversation"
Corey inched closer to Lisa and pointed to his most powerful card, Angel of Glory's Rise.
Suddenly, every deceased human creature returned the the battlefield, and with his other bonuses and card effects, he had a shot at killing Conner in one turn. He attacked with everything, and Conner used a spell to block all damage, leaving Corey wide open to attack, with nothing to protect him. Conner defeated Corey his next turn.
"Well darn."
"You almost had me there, or so you though"
Corey nodded "good game. Lisa catches on quick."

Divine Brutality

Lisa watched it all go down with sheer amusement.

"What a shady game. You were blindsided." She smiled at Corey. " Better luck next time."

Lisa leaned her head on Corey's shoulder in a vain attempt to be 'cute', something she was never good at. nevertheless, she enjoyed the closeness of him and hoped she'd receive a good response.

Steve finding the game interesting, however, in the necessity of time.  "Lisa, can you tell Andrea's Mathenatics instructor that she is sick at home and will be unable to attend."

Steve walked away, all smiles.

Lisa never understood Steve. He was always so cocky, strutting around like he was all that and a bag of chips.

She ignored him and continued on with Corey and the boys, enjoying their company. 'I don't even have her in my math class' she thought.

***Jake walked threw the halls, whistling a tune as he looked around. He saw a group of people playing a card game of some sort but he was too far away to tell what it was. As he was walking, looking at the numbers on the doors so he knew where his classes were, he noticed he was getting looks. ***

I'm going to have to ask you to leave the RP since you have proved yourself incapable. Thanks.

James had been standing in line with Katie for quite a while now. They had been deep in conversation. First talking about their interest in school, then hobbies, and lastly music. James had almost found it strange that they were both so similar. Every time James would tell her another one of his interests she would reply, "no way, me to!" At first, James began to suspect she was joking with him or even trying to be a little cute, but she always had a vast knowledge of the subject.

As their conversations went on he began to realize that they weren't even in line. She was trying to give them a chance to chat alone before having to go back to the table.

"I can't believe we have so much in common" Katie stated.
"I know. We like the same subjects, music, and have many of the same hobbies." James replied. "Maybe we should hang out more often." He blurted out and fearfully waited for what Katie might say. His face started to become a little red from the nerves.

This was the first time James had ever asked any girl to spend time with him.

Katie happily replied, "I think that sounds like a great idea." She shot him a great big smile. "By the way we should probably pick up our food. I'm sure the others are wondering where we are."

James laughed "I think that is a good idea."

James and Katie picked up their lunches and walked back to the table where everyone was sitting. James could see the guys still sitting playing their game. James and Katie both sat back down in their seats, placing their lunches on the table in front of them. As they were both sitting down James looked over at Katie and smiled. She smiled back. It was at this moment he thought to himself, I really hope she likes me back.

Stephen walked into the school late. This was only his third day here, and he was already behind. He tried to be as discreet as possible, not wanting to draw attention to himself from the hall monitors, but the double doors had otherwise planned. They crashed loudly behind him. He was sure he was in for a reprimand, but no one seemed to notice. It was a relief, though, at this point, he was accustomed to not being noticed. His family was constantly moving for reasons he was not at liberty to discuss, not that anyone cared to discuss it with him, anyway. This was his fourth school this year. He learned quickly living in this lifestyle that it was easier just to not bother making friends.
He quietly made his way to lunch. He had missed both first and second period and was halfway through third. This was a bad start. Rather than find somewhere indoors to sit alone, a task reeking of impossibility due to the sheer number of students infesting the cafeteria, he simply walked through the mass of humming, faceless drones to the door which led to an outside eating area. There were only a few people here, so he was able to find a nice, quiet, shady corner to sit in.
His stomach was beginning to growl, but he didn't pay any attention. He had already begun to draw.
