Name: Briareos
Gender: M
Age:  28 (bio), 2 years-old cyberlogically
Sexuality: Straight

Origins:

        If you haven't guessed it by now, Briareos used to be a human, but is now embodied as a cyborg, with only a quarter of his original biological body intact. Originally a native of Old Earth, Malcolm Davies grew up in New York's historic Harlem residential neighborhood.  As a youth,   Malcolm always had aspirations of becoming one of NYC's finest, and eventually a first class detective.

      For the most part he was successful in achieving his childhood dreams,  entering the police force at the age of 20, eventually advancing to the rank of lieutenant in just 4 years, he was well on the path of becoming a top-class detective until the events that transpired in Manhattan's grand central station.

     An IED bomb was set to detonate on a tanker outside the grand central station. Malcolm was successfully able to locate the bomb and evacuate the area, however he was unable to disarm the bomb which ultimately claimed much of his body in the impending explosion. Malcolm's actions were soon recognized by the media and he was heralded as an American hero. At the same time, the united states government was looking into cybernetic implant programs for wounded vets and police officers. Naturally, Malcolm was at the top of the list of candidates for this type of program. He was re-made stronger, faster, better and given a new name Briareos, after the heavily-armed giant Briareus the Vigorous of greek mythos.  The rest is history.

Luckily, much of his brain and other "valued" parts were preserved following the explosions.

Description /Abilities: Briareos is a prime example of cybernetic technology in Appleseed. Although his body is almost completely artificial, he suffers little loss in humanity. His outer skin is elastic, capable of feeling sensation, and the temperature can be adjusted to the cyborg's preferences. Appearance-wise. Malcolm is a rather tall and muscular African-American male with short black hair and brown eyes.

Origins: Achernarians are known as a highly advanced race of scholars. They have been called by the humans as space elves due to their pointed ears. They keep their body in the most healthest state they can and hardly ever get sick.

Background:
Vanacure grew up in a big family of six in the Achernar Federation. He had two big brothers and a little sister. His dream was to be a football star and he worked hard to be physicial fit so he could be picked for a football scholarship. His brothers grew up to be a big game hunter and a farmer around the settlement while his sister became beautiful teenage medicial student that turned everyones heads except her brothers. Their lives was perfect or so they thought.

Around the age of 19, a resistence group formed demanding freedom from the federation and took up residence in the settlement Vanacure's family lived in. One day the group saw interest in vanacure's sister and invaded their home one night. Vanacure was knocked out upon answering the door. When he awoke, he found out the men took his sister, killed his brothers and parents for trying to stop them. His sister was alive but only lived to be trophy by the men. As quickly as he could get ready, Vanacure ran to her rescue. Vanacure went in guns blazing taking out all the guards. He was untouched until the leader of the group shot him several times in the back as he was carrying his sister out. The man was about to kill Vanacure and his sister when the man was gunned down by federation marines. A officer saw what robert did to the resistence group and gave him a offer to be reborn. Vanacure knew he was badly wounded and said yes before he passed out. The next thing he remembers is waking up in a wierd room surrounded by scientist. That is where his life as a cyborg began. Vanacure excelled at close range combat with bladed weapons like helberds and swords. He was just another test subject in the eyes of the federation and as soon as the next model was made Vanacure was sintenced to minor missions like acting a guard dog on a colony ship.

Likes He loves music of the humans that call theirselves rockers. Likes to mengal with other species that are similar to his. Mostly the humans because they are almost the same except the ears. He loves taking space walks along the hull of the ship.
