You awake in a dimly lit room, around you there are others standing around and wondering where you are.

As someone swears and what-not, a Television flickers on and on the screen is a creepy looking puppet. The puppet speaks, with an almost demonic voice.

"Hello, everyone. I want to play a game. Look around you, each and every one of you have done a certain crime against the community. You all stand trial here, and atone for these sins. The house, is slowly filling with a deadly nerve agent. In 72 hours, every door of the house will automatically open, and allow for your escape to freedom. Around the house, there are vaccines to prevent your painful and agonizing death, live or die. Make your choice."

So this is an OOC thread, just wanting to see how many people would be intersted in this kind of roleplay, there is going to be death and some gore like in the movies so if your not into that then please don't post here. Also I will get some things up for you guys to make character later on.

Trape Types

There are six forms of these games/tests

Generic Traps- Devices or scenarios applied to a victim or victims, usually with the effect of causing serious bodily harm or death if not removed by completing a given task within a specified time period. There are some traps, however, that are impossible to escape from such as Amanda's inescapable traps.
Competition Traps- Traps involving two or more victims who can each individually pass their test, but only at the expense of the other victim's failure. Only one or two people are able to survive these tests.
Tests- Games that involve a victim being given "rules" or a specific task, verbally. The outcome of the test is affected by whether or not the victim follows the "rules" and wins, or breaks the "rules" and loses. Losing usually results in the death of the character or some other sort of loss such as suffering serious injuries or causing the deaths of loved ones and friends.
Trials- A series of tests or traps that the subject(s) must face (as opposed to a Generic Trap which only involves a single test) with the intent of gauging the character(s)'s psychological progress from the beginning of the series up until the Final test.
Final Tests- The last test in a series of Trials. Culminates in a final decision that is designed to directly relate to and put to use what the character has learned from each of their preceding trials.
Security Traps- Booby traps designed to halt the progress of their victims and to prevent them from proceeding. Other security traps are used to protect Jigsaw and his followers from police or other attackers.

Traps
These Pictures contan Graphics, (blood insides etc)

The Bathroom:
The Bathroom Trap is the main trap of Saw. It is a disused, underground industrial bathroom in which its victims would be chained to pipes, mostly with hacking their feet off being one of the few methods of escape.

The Razor Wire Maze:This trap involved a victim who woke up mostly naked in a fenced-in area within a basement. Between the victim and the door was a gauntlet of densely strung together razor wire which the victim had to navigate through in order to find an exit. Hidden somewhere in the fencing was a hole which would have served as a way out of the maze, but the hole was located in a spot where the victim was not likely to look. The door leading out of the basement was set to close and lock on a timer, and the victim was required to escape before the timer went off.

The Flammable Jelly:Put into a dark room, covered in flammable Jelly and left barefoot with glass all over the flor and a save in the middle of the room. Since the trap was designed mainly as a test, the ideal way to escape would be to follow the rules as stated in the recording. The film depicts no immediate means of escape and nothing is around the room that would aid the victim. The victim would need to act fast for two instances:
1) The poison.
2) Before the candle burns down.

The Reverse Beartrap:You set it off by pulling a wire, you have to cut open a person inside of whom was the key to the Beartrap. After retrieving the key from the insides, ther victim is able to unlock the Reverse Beartrap and remove it
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Magnum Eyehole:The trap consisted of a locked door with a gun attached on the other side of the peephole, and a pulley and chain to the doorknob on the other side of the door. The barrel of the gun was aimed directly at the peephole. When activated a bullet was fired through the peephole and into whoever was in the line of fire.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Furnace:The victim had to crawl inside to get an antidote suspended by chains connected to the door of the furnace. When pulled down the door of the furnace would shut, igniting it at the same time. The only way to escape was to twist a knob that would turn off the gas and stop the fire from growing.

The Needle Pit:This trap involved a pit in the middle of a room filled with used syringes. A locked door in the room contained an antidote but was set on a four minute timer; if the timer expired the door would remain locked forever. The victim had to jump into the pit of needles to find a key to the door. The key was attached to a glow stick hidden among the syringes.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Hand Trap:This trap involved a box suspended from the ceiling, inside was an antidote accessible by two holes under the box big enough to fit a person's arms through. Once they did, however, the person would realize the corners of the holes were fitted with blades that would push up if something was inserted. If the person put pressure on the blades in order to take their hands out, the blades would dig into their arms. The harder they pulled, the deeper the blades would go. However, there was a key on top of the box which would open it and allow safe access to the antidote.

The Classroom Trap:A victim is in a classroom with eleven different chains connected to thier body in many areas. they need to rip them out of the skin before the bomb before them will detonate and kill them. It is knowing that it is unescapable.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Angel Trap:The victim is suspended above the floor of an abandoned building, in a contraption which consisted of a leather harness, hung from the ceiling by numerous chains, lining her torso with two sets of needles on either side.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Pendulum Trap:A victim is chained to a table, with two vices on either side of it. Above him, is a large, bladed pendulum that begins to swing.  The person has to push buttons in the back of the vices that will crush their hands in order to stop the Pendulum from reaching the body.

The Collars:Each person was equipped with a collar attached to a cord, which fed back into their stall. This trap involved one person pulling against the five cords, each one linked to the collar around the others' necks, to retrieve the keys at the end of the room and unlock their collars. The obstacle of this test was that as one person ran forward (pulling on his/her own cord) the other four people would be pulled backward towards their own pulleys. The consequence for not completing the trap was decapitation as, in front of the pulleys for the cords, rested mounted razors, which would decapitate them should one person fall back too far, or the timer run out and pull all of the collars into the wall.

The Jars:The victims go into a room with sixteen glass jars suspended from the ceiling. There were four tube-like bomb shelters in the room, locked by grated circular doors, each requiring a specific key to open. It was revealed that the glass jars hanging above contained the keys to three of the shelters, and that many of the other jars contained blank keys, but because the jars were filled with glass, it was difficult to identify whether or not a single jar held either.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Bathtub:This trap, located in the next room, consisted of five electrical cables, connected to a power source, and a bathtub filled with water in the center of all of them. At the beginning of the game, an electrical current began running through the cables, and a circuit had to be completed if the door to the next room was to open. The cables were not long enough to reach the bathtub by themselves, thus the body was meant to transmit the surge from the cable to the tub, in the process giving the person an electrical shock, but opening the door.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Blade Table:There were five saws inside of five compartments, each with a hole large enough to insert a victim's hand, initially meant for each person. The subjects were told to insert their hands into the saws and lose enough blood to fill a single ten-pint beaker connected to the five compartments, which would in turn open the door to their freedom and save them from the mounted nail bombs.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Carousel Room:The trap consists of six people chained to a rotating roundabout-like object inside of a large metal cage. At the front of the cage is a large metal device attached to a shotgun which is pointing at the carousel. The carousel repeatedly slows to a halt with a random victim facing the gun. A person is forced to make the choice to place his hand inside a metal box and press a button, causing a metal rod to pierce his hand in order to prevent the selected victim from being shot, or choose not to and let the victim be shot point-blank in the chest by the gun, thus killing the person that is in the gun's path.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

The Public Execution Trap:This trap takes place in a public square, specifically in a window display with bulletproof glass. Two People are chained to either end of a table with a circular saw resting in front of each person, aimed at their chests, and a third circular saw on a large pivot in the center, pointed towards the ceiling.

This sounds like it could be fun. How do you plan to judge what happens? Obviously people would generally rather live than die, especially if they're having fun with the character. So will the ability to survive the traps be dependent on how clever we have our characters act, or some sort of randomizer, or GM whim, or something else?

Would you consider having people play multiple characters? Usually I'm not a fan of that in group games, but in this setup it would allow a stream of character deaths while delaying cutting out players.

Do you expect there to be more of a sexual element than there was in the movies, or would you prefer the game be focused mostly on the death and gore?

Well I was going to let people decide and see how smart the characters act and yes, people can play mlti-characters if they wish and I'm glad your intersted. Yes there can be more sexual content then in the movies as well
