You are a young Noblewoman travelling with a few guards through a forest on your way back to your castle after visiting some friends on the other side of the forest. They had told you to stay the night as it would be dark soon and the forest could be dangerous at nighttime but you had refused hoping to make it home in time for dinner. You are about halfway home and night has well and truly arrived bringing with it a dense fog.
