Hey, all! I'm English. More specifically, I'm from South Yorkshire (Barnsley/Sheffield), though I spend most of my time in Preston (Lancashire) where I go to uni.

Elvi

Have you turned all vampire on me there Hermes?

Hermes

I always was, I just couldn't show it. ;)

Elvi

Well......Enodios, don't hide your address, you're breaking game rules.......*laughs*.

Hermes

Heh, I didn't think that counted as hiding it. Okay, I'll edit. Thanks for introducing me to it, by the way.

Hehe, I think we've dragged this off-topic more than enough. Maybe we should start a new topic?

I'm English, but live in the sates, and am 3/4ths Irish and 1/4 Welsh. And am the only person in my family to be born outside of Ireland/Wales/England....

I was born in and live in the States. however I have English ancestors and Scottish ancestors. Ripley on the English side, and Wallace, Gordon and Walsh

Elvi

I am British, born in England.
My Ancestors on my Father's side were viking merconaries who came to this country in 1066 with William I.

On my mother's side, her paternal family came from Germany in the late 1800's and her maternal side were a mixture of Irish and Scottish.

So what does that make me?
It makes me British, not nordic or german or irish or scots.

It's been fun, but Elvi has now left the building

Hermes

Wow, that must've taken some research!

Elvi

Not really, having the same surname as the (now) county that was given to them in payment helped just a little on the Nordic side.

And My mother's family is relatively recent history.

That I feel more British than Dutch? My English is better than my Dutch, my thoughts and dreams are in English. And given half the chance I will move back there..
