Did a teacher just challenge a student?  Eva was shocked.  Were all the teachers in this place complete mad?!  She glanced over at Lyk with a worried look.  "You can't fight Lyk, he is older and probably knows a lot of tricks.  Please don't fight him, I don't like this at all."

[OCC: Errr... didn't my post answer this one? My post follows, and both the question and the answer are in bold.]

Adolphus looked up when one of the students who hadn't introduced herself, stood up and suggested that the thing he had brought back was not a cat, but in fact a sorcerer. With one eyebrow raised, Adolphus glided over to the girl with a calm look. "So tell me dear, how is this not a cat? Necromancy is about reanimating the dead after all, so it should have no soul and therefore can't be a powerful sorcerer as you are suggesting." he said, slightly irritated that the girl would suggest such a thing.

"This cat has undergone transmutation. It is really a very powerful sorcerer. And you didn't exactly bring it back to from the dead.  Its more like you shifted the veil between worlds, and he came back." After she finished she sat down.  She didn't care what the others thought of the outburst.  She looked back at the cat. She quietly spoke to it. "I wonder if you would like being less decaying. I could do it you know, but not here."  The cat seemed to just look at her.

Samantha wouldn't have it anymore. She knew what she had seen and no amount of his 'persuading' would tell her otherwise. She looked at the cat and then back to the teacher. She knew she would probabbly not return to this class again.

[OOC: Crude, I remember reading that too but forgot about it in my post. *facepalm* will edit if you like.]

Adolphus found the boys enthusiasm funny and the fact that he thought he could hurt him caused Adolphus to laugh a bit. "Your courage is commendable, I will give you that much pup, and I'd listen to your friend," he said with a grin before leaning in to whisper to the two of them, "There are many dark tricks I could use to harm you without braking a sweat. Know your place, and all will be well, but act like that again and I will punish you." he finished, letting his anger show. Then he leaned back up and looked at the class once more to see if anyone else was going to question him.

The cat began to crawl all around Kiryu. It walked across his arms and set itself on his shoulders.

Pup?!? Oh he crossed the line on that one! The hair on Lyk bristled this man had challenged his honor afterall. He wanted to do something to the man and it showed but he couldn't not with Eva there. He'd need to change into his werewolf form to take the man on anyway and he'd promised Eva he wouldn't change into that in front of her.

As the teacher moved away, his little warning continued to run through her mind.  Looking at Lyk she asked, "He just threatened us, didn't he?!"   Looking back at the teacher, Eva shot daggers at him.  "You know, I'm so sick of the teachers here that......"  It was the last straw for Eva, she was sick of the way students were treated and she was having no more of it.  Standing, she moved swiftly towards the door, having no intentions of staying one more minute.

[OCC: It's fine. I can adjust my char's reponse to fit this. After all the teacher might have missed it too. :) ]

Samantha stood up again, her keen hearing having picked up what the instructor had said.  She was not going to put up with it any longer.  "You are wrong!" She shouted in a bold move. "First off, Necromancy isn't just about puppeteering. Second off, you shifted the veil between worlds, which I already explained.  You didn't really bring the cat back to life, you brought a soul back.  And that soul is that of a sorcerer.  I can tell. He has a specific energy. Third, you shouldn't talk to students like that. We are here to learn from you, not be threatened nor insulted by you. And lastly, Necromancy isn't just about the dead. A lot can be done in Necromancy that provides healing, not just raising from the dead."

She held the cat up into the air.  It hissed at her and she glared at it.  She spoke in a language similar to the one the instructor had.  A bright glowing energy surrounded both her and the cat.  The other students had to shield their eyes against the light.  When it was finished she sat back down, exhausted.  The cat was now whole, and not decaying.  She looked back to the instructor. "I am taking the cat. If you dare try to harm it, or take it from me, there will be hell to pay." She made a mental note to give him to Kiryu.

Adolphus was surprised to see Eva get up and leave her his class without asking to be excused. "Class is now dissmissed. Some disciplinary action seems to be in order here with one of the students." but before he could leave Samantha had stood up and shouted at him. Adolphus sighed and listened to the girl yammer on about Necromancy. "While what you say is true lass, Necromancy can be used for so much more like divining the future after bringing a soul back, most Necromancers follow the path for power. They want armies of the undead marching under their banners and for every enemy fallen, their ranks are bolstered. Gladly though, the only way to do this is with a book written by Nagash, which has been lost in time," said moving over to the door and looking back at the girl, "and if you insist on keeping the cat, and he is who you say he is, then I would do as he commands least you wish to suffer."

Quickly Adolphus left the classroom to search for Eva. Now would be the perfect time for him to begin his plan of testing each of the students strengths. He quickly found the girl in the halls and, with a smile, he rushed after her and restrained her. "Let's see how tough you really are." he whispered into Eva's ear and then he quickly dragged her outside where he could test her. "Everyone has a gift, whether they know it or not. Come at me with all of your fury," he said with a smile. He had been alive for almost 400 hundred years, and if there was one thing he knew, it was how to annoy people "or perhaps you would like to see that Lycan hurt?"

"NO!"  She crossed her arms in front of her, glaring back.  "I will not fight you, or any other teacher in this place!  I'm sick of all of you."  She began to pace back and forth, not taking her eyes off of him.   "I am not your undead, Mr. Von Carstein, and I don't want to learn anything you have to teach!!"  Eva stopped facing him.  Yes, she was inexperienced, but she never liked being pushed around and especially by people who were just bullies.  And this bully liked to pick on those weaker than himself.

Upon hearing hearing Eva yelling no Lyk changed into his wolf form and charged down the hallway and jumping on the new teacher and knocked him to the ground he began barking and growling in the mans face.

RomanSoldier

Samantha knew that the cat was no harm to her. She was worried about the vampire that Lyk was attached to. She had seen the teacher take off in the direction of her. She picked up the cat and walked out into the hallway.  She waited for Kiryu there.

"Here, he seems to like you best. I'm Samantha by the way." She handed the cat over to him. She gave the cat a scratch behind the ear. "I hope you like him."

I was pissed, Lyk couldn't seemed to hold his tongue and weather her realized it or not he's insulted vampires again and it was highly irritating. It seemed to me necromancy was just a cousin of vampires. It brought back a being the should be dead. Vampires should understand that. Weres who were trying to be in the vampire world should learn it.
I could hear barking in the hall and I knew I should do something but didn't instead I turned to Rogal "Hey I'll meet up with you later" I said and crossed the room to Kiryu "come on you said you needed to talk?" I said leaving the room and heading to the hall were Lyk and Eva were, I secretly hoped Lyk would get his ass kicked.

Adolphus only smiled at the girl. "As you wish then, " he said with a bow, "but you will come back and beg for my help when you can't control your gift." Adolphus then turned to leave when a dog attacked him, snapping his jaws in his face. "Well, well. If it isn't the night in shining armor." he said, the wolf smelling oddly like Lyk as he began to chant and unleashed a spell that would only knock Lyk off of him while landing on the ground with no harm. Adolphus then got up and dusted himself off as he looked over at the wolf. "Listen and listen well, pup, for I have been around for over 300 hundred years. Fighting me is pure suicide. Just back off, after all I wasn't going to harm her all that much. She is a fellow bloodsucker after all." he said as his hand went into his pocket.

Like went into protection mode as he was thrown off his mind focusing on only one thing- protecting Eva no matter the consequences to himself. He got back on his feet and began to bark and growl loudly at the man showing his teeth fiercly.

Kiryu quickly got up an followed her.He looked at her for a sec and wondered.“What did you think of the lesson today.Weird but cool though right?"he said very enthusiastically

"I loved it." I said simply twisting up my hair a bit roughly irritation still evident in my mannerisms. Lyk had gotten under my skin again and this time he might hurt my friend and I was worried, pissed that I was worried I dropped my hands. "I think an education in death and the blurred lines there of is paramount in co-existance since vampires live in the gray area to start with." I took a breath and made myself calm down. I stopped walking suddenly not caring what happend to Eva and Lyk. "so what did you want to talk about?"

RomanSoldier

Samantha noticed Kiryu looked really upset.  She wondered what was going on with him.  She turned to look at Nate.  "Is there anywhere we can go to talk?" She liked the way he smelled, and to her that was a good thing.  She smiled at him. "Thank you for standing up for me. I really appreciated it." She looked away from his eyes. Was she starting to fall for him? She brushed off the idea, blaming it on the heat she was in.

Despite all the madness around them, Nate managed a smile--he was just as eager to speak with her and he'd just as soon do so privately. "Of course, mistress. We'll go to my room; I still don't have a roommate."

He put his hand on her arm, pulling her gently away from the fray. Before he could talk about their new relationship, he had to think of the wolf who lived in the room next door.

"Do you think that crazy professor of ours would really have hurt Eva? And is he actually going to fight Lyk? And what can we do to protect Lyk from him? I know Lyk is tough, but this guy's a lot older . . ."

Bahadir followed the teacher, watching the conversation between him, Eva and Lyk. Disgusted, he left for the rooftop quickly. He meditated under the sunlight, taking his jacket and shirt off, preparing anti-magic runes on his skin. He had walked the earth for 595 years, never meeting a creature like this teacher. He was abusing the weakness of his students... Being a victim of cruel teaching himself, he had to stand between the young students and this mad teacher.

He was prepared to face him in battle to persuade him to change his ways, if need be. As he finished the protective runes, he pulled the sword on his back from its sheath, sharpening it with his silver-coated dagger. The sword itself was made of purified silver, crafted in accordance with secret plans only known to his organization. As the day dwindled, he put his clothes back on and went down to the surface, following Lyk's scent to find him.
I'm not new. I just... lurk...

Her heartbeat quickened as touched her. "I honestly don't know whether or not he would have. I don't want to take the chance." He has a room to himself? This could either be bad, or good, depending on the situation., "I think that Lyk is in over his head, but I understand the fierce protectiveness that can occur between mates.  Right now, there isn't much we can do to protect him." She sighed, wishing there was a way to protect him.

Shoshana

Samantha was right--there wasn't much they could do for Lyk at the moment. And the teacher couldn't really be crazy enough to harm a student, right?

Nate nodded, keeping his hand on Samanatha's arm.  Her skin was smooth to the touch--she was beautiful, he thought.

"Come on," he said gently. "I'll show you my room."

He took her down several hallways, staying quiet so she could gather her thoughts. Then he opened his door for her and followed her inside. He frowned a little, wishing he had decorated his room somewhat. It looked kind of barren right now.

"Please have a seat," he said, smiling at her. "Ah, make yourself at home."

The room looked like it wasn't really lived in.  Samantha didn't mind the barrenness.  He let go of her arm and offered her a seat.  It was more like he told her to make herself at home, and she did just that.  Partially out of habit and partially because she didn't want to claim this space as her own, she sat down on the floor.  It wasn't very comfortable, and so she moved to lean against the bed. "What did you want to talk about?" she spoke the words softly, in almost a whisper.

Shoshana

Nate sat down on the floor next to her. She didn't look comfortable, so hopefully he could convince her to make herself more at home. His room was her room, after all.

He smiled at her--she really was beautiful. "Mostly I want to talk about you. I'd like to, you know, get to know you better. Find out where you're from, what your clan is like, and how you feel about being here. I mean, I'm still getting used to the whole idea of werewolves and vamps together. And I'll be honest--it'll take a while before I trust the vampires."

He paused to run his fingers through his hair, hoping he wasn't making a fool out of himself. "I'll answer any questions you have about me, too. And then--well, we can figure out how I can best be of service to you."

Dreamers Sand

She watched through the tinted windows of the car as it pulled up, and she knew that she would be so very out of place here. Cerise stared out with icy gray eyes as the Academy towered before her like a giant castle, or a villa for the most wealthy people she could dare to imagine. And to think, she thought her penthouse at the Grand Divoe was nice... The car pulled up and came to a slow halt, and she was ushered out. The door opened and she pulled a big Grand Casino duffel bag out, the strap going across her chest as she began the slow trek.

Cerise was supposed to be at the school earlier, but she didn't quite make it. Making it to Blackwald from Las Vegas while still trying to close out her home, pack up all her things and sell the majority of it; it made things difficult.

As she walked, her eyes fell over her clothes once more, wondering how badly she'd stick out. She wore a pair of loose dark gray pants that were smooth almost like dress pants with many pockets and red slack straps hanging by her sides, held up by a white leather belt with a Spade belt buckle. Her top was a white spaghetti strapped tank top that was rather short, and covered by a small gray and black pin-stripe vest buttoned up with a smooth collar folded down and ironed flat. And to top it all off, she wore a black fedora with a white ribbon, and a pair of black and white Chuck Taylors (converses).

The young woman stepped inside, staring about with her silvery eyes, glossed full lips pursed in confusion as she reached up and brushed a lock of thick dark brown hair behind her ear.

"Well, wonder which way to go to the dorms..." She pondered aloud, staring down the hallways.
"Adapting to human unpredictability is one of my features."
