Okay, so, first one died out pretty fast, and I think that was my fault, so we're gonna try it again. Here's the general idea.

"In the years following the nuclear cataclysm known as 'The Third', biological and radiological fallout began to spread a blight across the ragaved planet, giving birth to the monsterous Strangebeasts known as the Yoju. With civilization laying decimated, only six supercities remain as the last bastion of hope for humanity. These supercities, or Polis', are beseiged daily by the hideous Yoju, who use human females to reproduce, and spread their taint.

With all hope lost, the Police Department within one such Polis, Sophiapolis, formed a branch of para-military soldiers to combat the Yoju threat. Cybernetically enhanced, the women chosen for the Biosoldier project were turned into the worst nightmare for the Yoju. These soldiers, these Biosoldiers formed the Anti-Yoju organization, the Anti-Strangebeast Special Police, or A.S.S.P.

In the waning days of 2048, three years after The Third, the Yoju retreated for the Polis', and humanity looked forward to a time of peace. But with the ever-present threat of the Yoju looming above humanity's head, the A.S.S.P. readied, waited for a time when they would be needed again.

The year is now 2050. The Yoju have returned. And the A.S.S.P. will stand ready.
"

Okay, so, yea, that's the backstory to this little project. Based off the PC hentai game 'Pretty Soldier Wars; AD 2048', the RP picks up where the (admittedly horrible) game left off. Set two years after Pretty Soldier Wars (Abbreiviated PSW from here-on out.), the premise is the Yoju have begun to show themselves once more in new, terrifying ways. As a newly trained Human or Biosoldier member of the A.S.S.P., you and your squad must work together to stop the Yoju threat, and maybe find some terrible information about the fate of the rest of the world.

If you haven't played PSW (Which I can guarentee most of you haven't), no biggie. You won't loose much, and frankly, you're not missing out. If you have, and you share my view of the game, you may enjoy this.

As far as how this RP will pan out, it will be a free-form game with a moderator (me) whereas it will be broken into two major parts: Plot and Extracurricular. Due to the slow-pace of Forum-Based Role Plays, it will utilize some time skipping, but I can go into more detail about that later.

What I want to know is, who here would be interested in at least seeing if this is something that could work. As far as player number is concerned, the Original PSW gave you eight soldiers, so that's the number I'm shooting for. If I could get (at the minimum) six people to try it, I think we can get something good.

When I first tried this game, I had a few people interested, but I think the interest died pretty fast. I think I've figured out why that was, and I'm willing to give it an extra shot, if other people are.

If I see enough interest, I'll get the character sheets rollin' and we can begin.

ReijiTabibito

Is this a system RP?  I won't lie and say that I'm not intrigued...

Xenolord

I had originally planned it to be a system RP, but I sort of scrapped the system to start over, so until I finish it, we'll be doing dumbed-down system (Which I can explain later) until I finish the new system, to at which point, you can decide which to continue on with.

ReijiTabibito

Yeah, please do.  And okay.  It just seemed like an RP based on a game would be system-based....hit me with what you've got.

Nyarly

I'd like to give it another try. I'd use the same character as last time.

Xenolord

Alright! Glad to see you again, Nyarly. Lemme throw the Character Sheet at you. There'll be a few changes, which will be explained.

Name: (Remember, Biosoldiers are only female, and have only one name.)
Age: (20 and up only, please.)
Type: (Human, BS0, or BS1 Model Biosoldier. I'll clarify this in a bit.)
Hair Color:
Eye Color:
Height:
Weight:
Mutations: (See Below.)
Background: (What your character did before joining the A.S.S.P., or before The Third, depending on age. Remember, The Third was five years ago. This can be ANYTHING, but if it's obscure, seek GM approval.)
Personality: (What kind of person your character is. Kind, caring, ruthless, et cetera. The more detailed, the better.)
Preferred Weapon Type: (Pistol, rifle, assault rifle, et cetera. Nothing too large, please. Also, take into consideration ammunition. Small weapons can have more clips then larger ones can. If it's a melee weapon, specifiy if it's High-Frequency [H-F] or not. High-Frequency weapons deal considerably more damage to the Yoju, but are consequently heavier and more clumsy to use.)
Off-Duty Outfit: (What your character wears when they're off duty. And yes, include underwear, or I'll assume they like going commando.)
On-Duty Outfit: (What your character wears when they're on duty. And yes, include underwear, or I'll assume they like going commando. I'll have some reference pictures at the bottom for uniforms.)
Armor: (The kind of armor your character wears. Anything from a composite alloy breastplate, to a suit of armor made from thin tank armor is allowed. No power armor. Yet. Keep in mind, heavier armor will prevent you from dodging attacks easily. I want realism here. If you're wearing tank armor, no epic barrel rolls to avoid damage. You're on your honor.)
Mental Stability: (Mental Stability is going to be randomized by GM.)
Likability: (Likability should be between 1 and 10, and should be realistic with your personality. For instance, within a few exceptions, a former serial killer wouldn't be as likable as a former school teacher, or former prostitute.)
Confirmed Kills: (Set at 0 to begin with. Will increase.)
Experience: (Set to 100 to begin with. Will increase. Used for promotions.)
Money: (Set to 1000 to begin with. Will increase. Used to purchase weapons and ammo.)

A Note on Types: There are, currently, three types of soldiers in the service of the A.S.S.P. BS0 Model Biosoldiers; women who have been cybernetically enhanced to allow for greater damage capability, but have forgotten what it means to be human; BS1 Model Biosoldiers, who have undergone a process known as the Transfusion, to infuse Yoju blood cells into their bodies, turning them into effective Anti-Yoju units, but lacking the durability of the older BS0 Models, and Humans, regular, average Janes who would rather die then be Yoju play time.

If you choose to become Human, your character pans out exactly as you have her. If you choose to become a BS0 Model, you will be able to wear and use different equipment, but won't be as socially apt as others. If you choose to become a BS1 Model, you gain benefits of both Humans and BS0 Models, but gain mutations. (Which will be decided later.)

Alrighties, here's the Uniform Types for reference.

Alpha Sporting the Standard Issue Blue Soldier's Uniform

Saeko Sporting the White Junior Officer Uniform

Haruka Sporting the Tan Specialist's Uniform

You can either choose a Uniform to match the type of character you want to be, or can choose one because it's pretty. I don't care.

A Note On Background: When writing out your character's background, be sure to include their former profession. Sophiapolis is filled with many kinds of people; and A.S.S.P. searches for many kinds of talent in their Biosoldiers, from business women, lawyers, and teachers, to students, soldiers, and even Prostitutes. If you want your character to be a soldier, that's fine, but remember that certain other types of people will handle certain situations differently.

A Note On Mutations: Unlike the previous time, I've decided to randomize character Mutations by way of a list (Which I have saved on my computer). If you choose to be a BS1 Model, here is what you must do about Mutations. Either by way of E's Dice Roller, or another Third Party program, roll three d20's. Post the results in the 'Mutations' section of your charater sheet, and when I have everyone's I'll post up the list, so you can fill them in. That's the only way to be fair, and keep you plesantly surprised, too.

ReijiTabibito

Xeno, just as a quick question, what is the level of technology available at this point?  Are we up to laser swords and energy projectors (fancy term for blasters), even if they're powered by batteries or energy clips?  Or are we still at the slugthrower stage?

And just to confirm, BS1s get access to the same equipment as BS0s?

Also, could you give a possible sampling of mutations that BS1s might have?  It might determine whether I play a Human or a BS1.

Nyarly

#8
Name: Rina
Age: 22
Type: BS1 Model Biosoldier
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Red (due to mutation)
Height: 1,78m
Weight: I'm unsure about that.
Mutations: Eye Color Augmentation (red), Cat Tail,  Pale-As-Death Skin
Background: Was a pretty ordinary student, who initially aspired to become an athlete before she changed her mind and became a soldier of the A.S.S.P.
Personality: playful, energetic, naughty
Preferred Weapon Type: Metal Claws
Preferred Range: Melee
Off-Duty Outfit: white tank top, pink hotpants and panties, white/pink sneakers
On-Duty Outfit: basic blue A.S.S.P. uniform
Armor: Just composite alloy breastplate, she relies more on her dexterity than on her armor.
Mental Stability:
Likability: 6
Confirmed Kills: 0
Experience: 100
Money: 1000

I changed a few things: Hair color (originally she had blue hair) and the things that got changed in this reboot (randomized mutations and mental stability), but otherwise she's pretty much the same character.

Xenolord

@Reiji: We're still more or less in the slugthrower stage. Technology's been stunted since the bombs fell, about the most advanced thing on the market would be High-Frequency blades (Basically vibro weapons. Oh, the uses.) and H-E Rounds for rifles. Other then that, guns and knives, mang.

Also, looks like a good one again, Nyarly.

So, comparable to MGS2 technology, and such.  Okay.  Gotcha.

And what about mutations?  What do they range in?

Xenolord

The mutations range from horns, tails, eye\hair color augmentations all the way to strange stuff like hair changes (Akin to Infested Kerrigan from Star Craft. Tendril Hair-y.) to fangs and whatnot.

Nothing that would dramatically change how someone would function in a normal day, but enough to distinquish a BS1 from a normal human.

Ashes

I'd be interested in trying

Name: Cassandra
Age: 20
Type: BS0
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Grey
Height: 1,7m
Weight: 54.43kg
Background: Cass joined the A.S.S.P. right out of school. In school she was a good student and an excellent athlete. Which brought her to the attention of the A.S.S.P. program.
Personality: Quiet and a bit detached with a sharpe sense of humor. Genuinely caring underneath it but doesn't show it often.
Preferred Weapon Type: Sniper Rifle
Off-Duty Outfit: Jeans. T-shirt. Leather Jacket (when it is appropraite). Boots. Sports bra and panties.
On-Duty Outfit: Tan specialist (for now). Sports bra and panties.
Armor: Composite Alloy breastplate.
Mental Stability:
Likability: 5
Confirmed Kills: 0
Experience: 100
Money: 1000

Nyarly

Since Rina's mutations in the last game were based on catgirls, I think I take the cat tail. Also I take red eyes, fitting to her hair. Other than that she has very pale skin.

Should I edit the sheet accordingly?

Xenolord

schnookums

Hrm...what to play...gonna play a "normal" human, thinking either medic or some sort of technical field, but not totally sure.

Xenolord

Medics would be in high demand, Snooks. You'd be very popular. >.> Translate that how you will.

Nyarly

Xenolord

Sweeeeet. Once Reiji gets the character boulder rollin' I'll throw up the IC and OOC, then we'll roll from there. Promises, Nyarly. I will not kill this one before it starts.

aya

So, are the Yoju's going to be NPC'd by you Xeno? Also, I was wondering if I could play a victim as well as an A.S.S.P.

Xenolord

Playing a victim as well as a soldier... why Aya... That's the greatest idea EVER! Alright... gimme a few to jostle this around in the ol' noggin, and I'll figure out how to work this...

schnookums

So what, the ASSP aren't going to become victims? ;)
