Some characters, for me, occasionally need to speak off the page, and away from the story, and although I normally keep their thoughts as notes, a release of their feelings that help me be drawn back into the character when I write them - I thought I might share this ramble.  They normally don't ever see the light of day, so please don't throw rotten tomatoes, these are just willful words nothing more.

Gina, March 18th:

The angels were crying
The pebbled windows refracting the grey light of dawn
Me breathing a mist of pain on the glass
Leaving it to cloud the reality of the day...
Of the places I've never been,
Of the people not waiting for me.
Giving in to rest in it's cold embrace
Feeling the cold mist press on my head
Leaning on the view
Focus changing....  to you..
You walk with the step of weary miles
The pain of the night
Carried with you.
What dreams do have
In your daylit bed?
Have you touched the same thoughts?
Do you yearn for love?
You know me not
Or that you have a friend who knows so much
And is closer than you think
But every day I greet you
In another name.......
It isn't long
The 'pop' to say you are there
The sweet words of hello
And at my table the grey light shared
Even the same birds greet us unknowingly

Hi sweetie.

Good morning my love

And what if one day I reach through the glass?
Set the screen aside and no longer type those words
But say
I am here
Touch me

We breathe the same air my love.
And yet the miles that separate us
Are not those measured in distance
But in expectations
Knowing that if you could see me with real eyes
You would not want me
And that is why the angels cry
They cry for me
And the pain of having you
One heartbeat away....

"The imagination is the spur of delights… all depends upon it, it is the mainspring of everything; now, is it not by means of the imagination one knows joy? Is it not of the imagination that the sharpest pleasures arise?" ~Marquis de Sade~
