GM wanted for Exalted 2.5 DB sandbox

It's my birthday! And for my birthday present, I want:

• an Exalted Dragon-Blooded game,
• mostly sandbox,
• using 2.5ed rules, not freeform (though combat and such might be handwaved a bit for ease of play),
• not GM'd by me,
• featuring plenty of interaction with Dragon-Blooded culture, not out in the woods somewhere,
• not featuring "Oh here comes the Solar, time to kill or be killed,"
• with characters a little more powerful than default start.

Could be Dynasts vacationing in An-Teng, could be on the Blessed Isle, could even be Lookshy's Gentes (I know someone around here was saying they dreamed of that, can't remember who).

Please, Elliquiy, please won't you make this a birthday to remember?

Are we talking Dynasts before or after the Scarlet Empress went poof? Because if it is before I'll have watch Avatar: the Last Air Bender to brush up on Azula, because that is how I pictured the Scarlet Empress acting. Either way, I'd like to play.

Everything I am afraid. I only actually played Exalted twice. A shame really, I got a pile of white wolf books I read cover to cover, but never used them.

And running this game would call for familiaritywtih the dragon blooded nad the blessed isle book. 

If you want to give it a shot, I'll back you up, but hopefully we can find someone a bit more comfortable with it.

Crikey.  Well, I guess I can try, but games I run tend to die pretty easily, so I may well not be the best choice.

Do you have a sense of why that is? Is there anything the players could do to make sure it doesn't happen, or is it just the fickle finger of fate?

I'm running a whole lot right now, which is why I haven't volunteered.  If I can find a good deputy or two I'll step up to the plate.

Well the reason no one wants to GM is simple. Exalted is a beast to GM. One game my friend GMed had to take breaks because the player character party blazed through his plot that should of taken months in a matter of weeks. We literally had to run something else every other we had time to write new material. You are basically running a Superheroes game with fantasy trappings.

Well the reason no one wants to GM is simple. Exalted is a beast to GM.
