Justice League

DARK MULTIVERSE RPG

A Role Playing Game Set in the DC Universe, showing the expansion of the Justice League. Combining the DCEU Canon with the beloved mythology of the comics and Animated features. The storyline focusses on the rise of the Dark Multiverse after the attack of and apparent death of Darkseid.  The walls of the multiverse are down and five former heroes turned villain's want to destroy and rule all of the multiveres. I will allow new takes on canon characters in DC lore and original characters providing they adhere to the DC Canon. Aka they can be Aliens, Meta Humans, Techo-Machine creations, Amazons, Atlantians, Magical Beings and Vigilante's.

What would be fun would be versions of the familiar heroes and heroines but as created by you. They can come from any of the established DC canon universes.

The Year is 2020.

"What IS the Dark Multiverse"

The Dark Multiverse is a shadow under the primary Multiverse created by Perpetua, one formed of every fear and bad decision ever made or dreamt. Worlds in the Dark Multiverse are fragile and constantly deteriorating, inevitably doomed to destruction by their own malformed construction. Contrary to the worlds of the normal Multiverse, those from the Dark Multiverse have their name preceded by a minus sign, such as Earth -52 compared to Earth 0, for instance. Each of those inverse worlds shown so far bears some degree of thematic resemblance to its positive counterpart.

t wasn't always the case however. At the dawn of creation, the Dark Multiverse was known as the World Forge, the realm of a cosmic being known as the World Forger, the equal to the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor. It was there that worlds were created out of the pure metal of creation, the stable ones joining the Orrery of Worlds while the unstable ones were destroyed with their components being used again to create more worlds. This destruction was the task of Barbatos, then known as the Great Dragon. After eons serving his master, he rebelled against The Forger, killed him and turned the World Forge into today's Dark Multiverse.
Because of its nature as the cradle of yet unborn worlds, the number of worlds in the Dark Multiverse is far greater than in the normal Multiverse, as seen when Barbatos chose to show to Batman the "galaxies" of worlds born from his fears. Other heroes also have had an impact on the Dark Multiverse, with many twisted versions of heroes such as The Flash, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman preparing to invade the Multiverse, even if they could have been created by Batman's fears all the same.
First found in the prime Multiverse on Prime Earth by the Blackhawk Squadron and the Challengers of the Unknown, the Dark Multiverse's agents, the Court of Owls, engineered the "mantling" of Batman using the five heavy metals of the Dark Multiverse, Nth Metal, Promethium, Dionesium, Electrum, and Batmanium, sending him to that corrupted multiverse while bringing forth their master, Barbatos, and his Dark Knights formed of Bruce Wayne's nightmares.
With the help of the Multiversal Tuning Fork, Steel, the Flash, and the Phantom Zone Projector, Superman infiltrated the Dark Multiverse in search of Batman, only for his entrance to be part of a trap by the denizens, who hooked him up to the same machine that Batman was in order to use him as a battery to drive the Multiverse into the dark, letting loose Superman's own nightmarish versions in the process.

#1
Player Name: VoluptiousVixen

Real Name: Diana Prince
Age: Looks 30 (Is actually 250) Amazon years
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual (Switch)
Base of Operations: N/A (formerly New York City)
Powers: Flight, Super Strength & Speed.

Weaknesses: Magic and pysch attacks. Diana is physically the strongest woman on the planet. She can withstand much however The Gods ALLWAYS design a flaw and she can be killed by those who created her. Sometimes her Amazonian pride can be a great weakness to her.

History:

Born to Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, Diana lived a serene and joyful life until the intervention of Steve Trevor upon the island of Themyscira. A tournament was held among the Amazons to determine the representative that would return to Man's World along with Trevor. Diana defeated the other Amazons but was tasked with the final challenge, deflecting a bullet fired from a gun by her mother. After winning the contest Diana was awarded a suit of armor and the Lasso of Truth and left for the United States, though upon her arrival she was arrested and detained in a cell. Falling into despair, Diana was visited by the Gods of Olympus in their animal forms: a peacock, deer, owl, mouse, eagle, dove and tortoise, who granted her the gifts of strength, speed, endurance, empathy and flight.

Shortly after coming to the outside world, Diana interrupted a terrorist attack and was named "Wonder Woman" by the press. She continued to use her gifts to fight for peace and justice in Man's World. She later fought who she thought to be Ares, though in truth it was Phobos and Deimos who were disguised as their father. Fearing that she would eventually discover the truth and free Ares from his prison beneath Themyscira, the Gods of Olympus sent Phobos and Deimos to erase all memory of Themyscira from Diana's mind. The twin gods were unable to erase the memory, so instead they later implanted false memories regarding her home to deceive Diana, leading to a completely separate origin story and causing her to hallucinate new adventures. Diana was unaware that her memories had been tampered with, and believed the falsifications until her search for the truth led her to Ares himself years later. In her false memories, the Amazons traditionally procreated by raping and then murdering sailors who happened too close to their island. Hippolyta was barren, and legend told that Diana was born of her mother's strong desire for a child, a lump of clay brought to life in the form of a girl; the perfect Amazon, as she was born of no man. The truth, though, was that Hippolyta had had an affair with Zeus, and Diana's real parentage was hidden in order to protect the Queen and her daughter from the wrath of Zeus' notoriously jealous wife Hera. Unbeknownst to Diana, her mother also gave birth to her twin, a brother named Jason.

Justice League

Upon becoming a super-heroine, Wonder Woman became a founding member of the Justice League. Her ambassadorial duties required her to visit Washington D.C., with army officer Steve Trevor as her liaison. When Parademons stormed Metropolis, Wonder Woman resolved to defend the city, meeting the heroes Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman. They also met the young hero Cyborg, who attempted to warn them against the evil alien conqueror Darkseid. Unfortunately, Cyborg's warnings were meaningless, as Darkseid had already arrived. Although Darkseid had initially beat them without effort, Green Lantern rallied them in order to confront Darkseid as a team. Wonder Woman proved crucial in Darkseid's defeat, stabbing him in one of his eyes to prevent him from using his Omega Beams. This gave Superman and Cyborg enough time to throw Darkseid back into his home-world.

After a mission which saw the Justice League rescue Steve Trevor from the degenerate David Graves, Wonder Woman talked with Superman about their individual similarities, leading to a kiss. A fight with Cheetah led them to take the decision to be more open with their relationship. Wonder Woman became Superman's girlfriend.
Their first adventure together as a serious couple involved a battle with Doomsday, a monster of Kryptonian legend. Superman, already familiar to the monster, explained that Doomsday was sealed into a pocket dimension called the Phantom Zone. Seeking preparation against enemies that could match them in power, Wonder Woman asked Hephaestus to forge weapons for them. Later, the Justice League intercepted the arrival of General Zod, another Kryptonian survivor. Superman gave him shelter in the Fortress of Solitude, but the couple discovered their relationship was now public knowledge. Months later After the death of Superman, Wonder Woman became depressed and began to remember her origins differently, questioning aspects of her past such as whether she truly was mocked as a child and her relationship with Ares. In a fit of rage Diana crushed the helmet of War. Realizing that she shouldn't have been able to do that, she used the Lasso of Truth on herself and discovered that she had been deceived. Diana traveled to Olympus for answers, but found it abandoned. She also found herself unable to return to her home of Themyscira.Seeking answers, Wonder Woman sought out an old friend that she believed could provide the way to Themyscira: Barbara Minerva, the Cheetah. Cheetah agreed to help, under the condition that Diana kill the plant-god Urzkartaga and free Barbara from her curse, which Diana agreed to do. When she located Urzkartaga, however, she discovered Steve Trevor and some of his fellow soldiers had been captured by Colonel Andres Cadulo, who intended to become the embodiment of the god and sacrifice Steve in the process. Wonder Woman freed dozens of Cadulo's captives and, with the help of Cheetah and the women he had captured, succeeded in destroying Urzkartaga and freeing Barbara from the curse of the Cheetah. With Barbara's help, Diana and Steve were able to find "Themyscira", though Diana was surprised to find her mother alive and well despite remembering her as dead at the hands of Hera. After removing her bracelets Diana realized that her past interactions with these representations of the Amazons and her home were in fact an illusion, and that she may have never returned home since she originally left to escort Steve to the United States. Upon this realization, Diana suffered a mental breakdown.

Diana had disappeared from the public eye for some time before the events of Doomsday Clock and was thought to have returned to Themyscira. After the inciting of global tensions due explosion of Firestorm in Moscow and the rumours of the "Supermen theory" alleging creation of metahumans by the United States government to serve as tools, she returned to address the United Nations and call for peace. She was attacked at the United Nations Building by Creeper, Giganta and Black Adam who had turned against the world leaders for their oppression of metahumans. The Amazons brought her back to the island after the Oracle prophseized that she will be injured if she continued fighting. Diana has learned of the multiverse and is learning to accept bleed throughs from the Dark Multiverse, she remains a permeant member of the Justice League.

SUPERGIRL
Player Name: Foxy Oni

Real Name: Linda Lee Danvers/Matrix
Age: Early 20s
Sexual Orientation: Omni (tries to be domme but is actually a sub)
Base of Operations: Metropolis
Powers:

Telekinesis: Supergirl’s mind-over-matter powers make her physically close to but not quite on par with Kryptonians. She can use the ability to fly, fire destructive psi-bolts, and create protective force fields.

Shapeshifting: As a protoplasmic being she can change her form although the more radical it is the more effort it takes. Her unusual physiology also gives her great stamina and rapid healing.

Cloaking:
By warping light and sound Supergirl can became undetectable to even superhuman senses.

Bio-Fusion:
By fusing her protoplasm to another person she can form a composite being with them. As the one with the strongest will is in control she is very particular about using this ability.

Mind Link: Supergirl once shared a psychic bond with Superman and still has access to his memories up to that time, as well as those of Linda Danvers and the Lana Lang of the pocket universe.

Weaknesses: Supergirl’s powers are closely tied to her confidence and attacks on her self-image will leave her diminished. She also has a history of letting herself be dominated by strong-willed people.

History: The enigmatic being known as the Time Trapper once created a pocket universe that resembled Earth-One from before the Crisis as part of his machinations against  the Legion of Super-Heroes. The death of this universe’s Superboy left it vulnerable to the attack of three Kryptonian criminals so it’s version of Lex Luthor created a powerful protoplasmic matrix. Based off of Superboy and given the memories of Lex’s lost love Lana Lang, this creature dubbed itself Supergirl. In spite of her efforts and those Superman from the new reality, the pocket universe was decimated. As the sole survivor, Supergirl went with Superman to his world.

After spending some time with Ma and Pa Kent, who called her “Mae” short for “Matrix,” Supergirl had many adventures and misadventures while trying to find her place in the world. For a time she believed herself to be Superman and she spent a long period being manipulated by this Earth’s far less benevolent Lex Luthor. Then while attempting to save a young woman named Linda Danvers who had been the victim of a demonic ritual, Supergirl found herself bonded to her instead. The two formed an “Earth-Bound Angel” and met many unusual beings as both friends and enemies.

Unfortunately in the end Linda considered herself a failure. She was last seen in Hell itself, fleeing after Doctor Occult showed her what her true self was. Since that time there have been cosmic upheavals and both Linda Danvers and Matrix seemed to be erased from reality. And yet this Supergirl has recently emerged, a lost soul embittered by being forgotten and desiring to make her mark on the world by any means she can.

Equipment: None but Supergirl can rearrange clothing into completely different outfits using telekinesis.

Relationships: Although she was once close to the Superman Family she has lost this connection since being severed from reality.

Appearance: As Supergirl she is a platinum blonde bombshell standing 5’ 7” and weighing 123 pounds. As Linda she is a cute brunette girl-next-door standing 5’ 5” and weighing 118 pounds.

SUPERWOMAN

Player Name: Golani
Real Name: Lana Lang
Age: Early 30s
Sexual Orientation: Hetrosexual
Base of Operations: Metropolis/Fortress of Solitude, Prime Earth

Powers: Flight, super strength, speed, healing rate, and endurance at levels similar to a Kryptonian under a “yellow” sun.
Lana also has the ability to absorb, store and then convert solar energy into different forms of electromagnetic energy, including (but not limited to) electromagnetism, electrokinesis, ionizing radiation, and charged particle acceleration (particle beam). The upper limit of her emitted power has yet to be defined, but is likely in the multi-terawatt range, depending on the type of energy.

Weaknesses: Lana has the same weaknesses to kryptonite and magic that Superman has.

History: Lana was born and raised in Smallville, just down the road from Clark Kent, who was the same age. The two met as young children in elementary school. As the years passed, Lana grew into the pretty red-haired "girl next door" whom Clark developed a romantic interest in. After they reached their teens, Lana and Clark became high school sweethearts and though Lana initiated their breakup, the two remained fairly close even after Clark married Lois. Lana would leave Smallville shortly before Clark would and became an electrical engineer and a part-time science contributor for the Daily Star. Lana would often use her scientific knowledge to help Superman on his adventures but was unable to prevent Superman's sacrifice to save Earth from Brainiac's attempt to assimilate it or the subsequent death of her parents at his hand.

Superman’s death causes a solar energy explosion part of which struck Lana. She gained energy powers based on Clark's solar flare ability, flight and super-strength, and the ability to locate his Fortress. She would name herself Superwoman in honor of her fallen friend and later joined the Justice League. Lana was overwhelmed with joy when an earlier version of Clark came to Prime Earth and took the mantle of this time line’s Superman. She would fight alongside him on numerous adventures, including in the destruction of Darkside.

When this second version of Clark Kent disappeared into the Dark Multiverse, Lana did her best to support Lois but seeing her friend heartbroken a second time caused something inside Lana to snap. She knew she had to power to do what Lois could not or would not. At that moment, Lana resolved to destroy the agents of the Dark Multiverse wherever she could find them by whatever means at her disposal.

Lana took over Clark’s Fortress of Solitude to safeguard its technology and to serve as her new secret base but continues to live in Metropolis.

Equipment: None

Relationships: Lana maintains good relations with Superman's extended family and most members of the Justice League. However, in addition to Clark Lana is particularly close to his wife Lois and John Henry Irons, whom she is dating.

Appearance: As Lana, she remains the“all-American” girl. She stands 5’ 7”, weighs 120 lbs, has long red hair usually worn up, green eyes, and (ironically) light skin that freckles easily in sunlight.
As Superwoman, Lana wears an orange and white costume with the trademark Superman “S” on her chest. Her skin turns a mild shade of orange, and her eyes become pupil-less. When using her energy powers or ability to fly, Lana’s body is surrounded by a nimbus of orange crackling energy. However, Lana can change back to her more normal “Lana Lang” appearance when she is not actively using her energy powers.

Crensler

I'll post a tentative interest in playing Raven, because she's my favorite DC character with Starfire running a close second >w<

TheGrandAdmiral

So I am ready with Black Canary's CS, should I PM it first or can I post it?

Player Name:
TheGrandAdmiral
Real Name: Dinah Drake
Age: Mid 20s
Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual
Base of Operations: Mobile, Clocktower in Gotham, Hall of Justice
Powers: Canary Cry, Sound Immunity, Master Martial Artist
Weaknesses: Aside of her special powers she is a regular human
History:

Dinah Drake was born the child of a teenaged single mother, handed into foster care at the age of four. Considered a troublemaker, she moved from foster home to foster home and finally ran away at the age of ten. Taking to the streets of Gotham, she was caught dumpster-diving by Desmond Lamar, an ex-Special Forces agent and martial arts sensei, who took her in and offered her a job to clean his dojo after classes. In return, he would provide her with food and a safe place to sleep. At her request, Lamar took to teaching her the same skills he provided his students, and she became his regular. When Lamar contracted fatal brain cancer, he left her his dojo. Unfortunately, he was the only one who could keep the local gangs from getting protection money out of them. Dinah's martial arts prowess could only keep them at bay for so long. Eventually, she began losing students who feared the possibility of their retaliation. Flashbacks show that during Zero Year, Dinah's dojo was destroyed in a fire. It was at this point, John Lynch, impressed by her martial arts prowess in taking down several ninjas during an attack, recruited her into Team 7.
During her tenure with Team 7, Dinah works as a covert ops agent in charge of infiltration. She is given the codename Operative Canary. It is during this time that Dinah secretly marries her longtime partner, Kurt Lance. Her powers are subsequently awakened after being tested metagene-positive. Toward the end of the Team 7 run, during a mission to retrieve Pandora's Box, Dinah's sonic scream surfaces and are amplified by Kurt's, the after-effect of which ultimately destroyed the island of Gamorra. In the aftermath, Kurt is presumed dead, and Team 7 is mothballed, leaving Dinah a fugitive on the run from authorities and an outlaw codenaming herself Black Canary.
