Doing an interest check:

Basic storyline idea:

A world like our own Earth in many ways is Illestra, filled with astounding beauty and a wild array of plants and animals, a vivid array of people too. The were animals of the world have come to peace with one another and the last 90 years has been an enrichment of culture for the various packs, however there is still a slight stiffness to relations, it takes a long time to grow past old feuds, especially for  immortals. The Humans have reached something of a golden era, instead of fighting wars with each other they are out to purge all were animals from existence, more often than not just killing other innocent humans.

After a particularly brutal attack by the humans, that wipes out the entire were-village of 14 the Dragoons invite their allies to join them in their beautifully secluded mountain oasis. The dragoons share a beautiful lake ringed with a small forest that in itself is ringed entirely by mountains with the mermaids who use underwater springs to travel in and out of the mountain oasis. They fly in, with the help of a few allied dragons, the known werewolves, werecats, & werebears. It is with reluctance that the moody mermaids share their home with more weres.

Now as the last of the known weres in the immediate vicinity join those at the oasis a scramble is made to bring order to the groups not used to being in such close quarters with one another and to find teams of weres willing to go in search of others that may need sanctuary from the looming human threat. Though the humans have nothing more complex than a crossbow or catapult they are still dangerous due to their large numbers.
The weres have an eden all to themselves if only they can coral the chaos of their brethren. The “packs” need firm leadership and role models in these times. Many will continue searching for stray were’s in need of the safety Oasis home offers, some spend their time keeping track of the humans movements. The community at a whole needs talented craftsmen and craftswomen to provide for the ample needs to be met. Past differences, and preferences for solitude must be set aside to protect friends and family from a much worse threat and to make this Oasis into their home.



A few requests of those interested:
We ask that you post at least every 4-6 days for your main character.
We ask that you post at least a decent sized paragraph at minimum, more is welcome.
We ask that you make sure all parties are okay with any violence/ NC content through OOC or PMs before it is posted.
All characters must be approved by Nim or Akasma. Please feel free to PM any questions to Nim or Akasma as well.
Each of the established were groups will need a leader other were categories are certainly open just ask Nim or Akasma about any proposed characters, plot developments, suggestions etc.
This roleplay will be posted in the extreme section and may include content of that manner. If desired we can provide a character sheet draft as well. Thanks all for reading! =)

Hello folks Just wanted to add a little bit more that I just thought of that had not been mentioned that we forgot to add. 

For this particular game we would like for each person to play at least one of the main forms of Were Animals being Wolf, Cat (large cats) and Bear.  Or of the Dragoons (who are half human half dragon.)  Or one of the humans.  Were hoping to at least have 2 representatives for each of the main groups before we start the game.

You would be more than welcome to play more than one character if you feel like doing so.

The game will begin once we have 12 players besides Akasma and myself.

*Pounces upon my Nim* Hiyas! I'd love to play a dragoon as my main character and possibly a werecat as well ;). My Dragoon would be one of those that goes out to find weres to bring to the valley I believe.

I'll be playing a Dragoon, one of the WereBears a WereWolf and maybe an exotic.  Aside from any filler type peoples that might be needed.  LOL

I'm definitely interested in this. I can't decide whether I want my main character to be a werewolf or a dragoon though... decisions, decisions...

True, but I'd rather just stick with one character. Easier for me to keep track of things, and I think I would probably end up neglecting one of them eventually

Yes there always is that possibility of one of the characters becoming favored then lost.  Very good point.

Please use this type of format for character sheets.  Unless you have your own that is relatively close or you are using a character you have used before but they are not in current use in any other games..

Race: (Were's Wolf, Cat (large cat variety) Bear, or "Exotic" Weres  animals or birds not normally thought of to be a Were (Keep in mind tho that with the "Exotic" wares these will be of a more rare nature so there will be fewer of each of these kind) and or Human)
Appearance: (Don't feel pressured into having to find a picture, if you want to just type out a description that is more than welcome if not preferred.)
Orientation:
Station: (what do you do in your clan? what purpose do you serve?  When thinking of this possibility please keep in mind that we will need one spokes person for each of the races that will be living with the Dragoons in their valley.)
Weapons/Abilities: (We will be playing a free-form game, there is no particular system to be followed so things such as turns and stats do not need to be applied. Just keep in mind that since we are playing without any particular rules, abilities cannot be overpowered and try to limit yourself reasonably but that is not to say that perhaps your Were character does not happen to also be a Wizard or Sorceress.  Since this is after all a new world to play with so feel free to have some fun being as creative as you choose.)

Another side note that I do not think was mentioned there may be humans who for whatever reasons had been living among groups of Weres or even with the Dragoons before they all started to come together.  So these humans would also be a part of the new group trying to make a new life for themselves in the lake side valley between the mountain ranges.

Name: Morpheus.
Age: Ancient
Race: Morpheus is a Werewolf. He has a wolf/man, and pure wolf forms.



Station: Morpheus is a soldier, not a leader. He is known as a 'royalty' guard. He protects the leaders of his pack.
Weapons/Abilities: Morpheus is from a Warrior clan, and therefor possesses a stronger bone structure than most. Making him taller, and stronger than most werewolves.

Biography/history: The Clan in which Morpheus was birthed from was one of the very first wolf clans. They were part of the beginning of the war between Humans and Werewolves, and they did so by killing soldiers and claiming the town's women as trophies.

Morpheus outlived his pack by simply not falling for the same desires. Most were ironically killed by those they captured, or easily lured by a 'lost beauty'. Morpheus was far too cunning and skillful, often waiting for the girl and her escort to pass, then killing them all. His strength and ability allowed him to survive packless for quite some time, though loneliness consumes him.

Personality:
Morpheus is a wise and skilled warrior. His realistic views on the world leave him as some what of a 'mood killer', though is often the first to be involved in a fight.

Sexual:
Male/Male on the dominant side.
Female/Male on the dominant side.

Name: Serenity
Age: 21
Race: Human
Appearance:
Station: None, living amongst the werewolves trying to help out. (Servant maybe?)
Weapons/Abilities: Bow and Arrows, Daggers, and poision
Biography/history: Serenity was outcasted from the humans and was chased into a werewolf village for her beliefs that humans were the under species here and needed to learn to live with the others.
Personality: She's quiet and shy. Tends to follow orders and not make many decisions.

Name: Dethean

Age: 20

Race: Werewolf

Appearance: As a human he is tall and a bit gangly with messy brown hair, slightly too big ears and a constant disheveled appearance. Despite not being conventionally attractive he can easily make people laugh with his goofy smiles and expressions. It's as though he doesn't quite fit properly into a human body.

As a wolf though his appearance becomes majestic and refined, a grey wolf of perfect proportions.

He has not yet mastered the wolf-man form, despite instruction from many of the older werewolves at the oasis. He tries but can not manage much more than to change a single body part, to have claws or eyes or tail for example.

Station: Tracker

Weapons/Abilities: Has the ability to locate people and objects, it manifests through his sense of smell but operates psychically even over great distances. However it is blocked by any of the superstitious simple charms and wards against werewolf magic which are known by many humans, especially those mistrustful of weres. When seeking people he must specify a particular person as well, he can't just search for 'a werewolf' or 'whoever killed this man', finding objects and animals is easier.

Biography/history: Raised amongst humans, Dethean lived with a foster family most of his life. However when a witchhunt for werewolves started to occur in his local village, his foster-parents cracked afraid of being discovered and betrayed his secret to his authorities. Warned by his foster-brother, Dethean ran away seeking the rumoured 'safe place' for weres. He travelled far and wide, on the journey picking up strange whiffs in the air that eventually he learned to follow. Recently his nose led him to the safety of the mountain oasis.

He loves it in the natural beauty of the mountains, but often volunteers to go out on the search for abandoned weres. His gift often comes in handy even despite its many limitations and he loves bringing new friends in to safety.

Personality:
Friendly and loyal, inclined to trust people sometimes more than he should but not a complete gullible fool.
Very relaxed and has a sense of peace about him, even in the midst of a crisis.
Enjoys gambling and taking risks.
Despite everything in his history, holds no grudges and doesn't hate humans at all.
Dislikes violence.

Race: Werecat...or feline whichever :p   (Jaguar)
Appearance:

Station:  A scout, keeps eye for trouble, her lean feline form allows her agility and mobility. which is quite an asset to her job.
Weapons/Abilities: Apart from phasing, she's good with a sword, and martial arts.
Biography/history: Aysel was born between many brothers, She turned tough, and reasonably. but still has her feminine moments. She always scouts for danger, and is known for her speed.  sadly, after the massacre of her parents, and her old clan, she was sent away with her brother to this new clan (close to the dragoons) where she became what she is today.
Personality: Spontaneous, Sarcastic, Brave, Rational, cautious, mysterious, friendly to people she trusts, outgoing, punctuate, committed, shy with some people, responsible, has a thing for thinking out of the box.
Sexual preferences:    M/F and flips between Sub and Dom

Seemed like there was plenty of werewolves already, so I figured I'd choose something else to help move this along.

Name: Karnl

Age: 24

Race: Werecat (Tiger)

Appearance: Human- Tall and well muscled, black hair. He often has a serious or somber expression.
                   Tiger-

Orientation:Straight

Station: Lead warrior

Weapons/Abilities: While human, he is an experienced martial artist, and prefers to fight using his bare hands. When he is transformed, he is able to move at high speeds and is surprisingly agile. He uses his combination of raw strength and speed when fighting. However, moving at high speed for too long will wear him out quickly, so he prefers to use it in short bursts. He also possesses a tactical mind and a keen eye, which he uses to find and exploit the weaknesses of his enemies.

Biography/history: Karnl was the strongest warrior within his clan. He could have become the leader, if the leader was not chosen by bloodline. He had no real desire to lead though, and only accepted his position as lead warrior because he knew it was necessary to keep the clan strong. His clan lived in a forest near a human village. There was a negotiated peace between the human villagers and his clan, so for awhile his clan was safe. However, the humans eventually betrayed them, and burned the forest down. Karnl managed to escape, but as far as he knows, he was the only one. This betrayal has caused him to have a deep resentment for humankind. He wandered for a short time, before he heard that the Dragoons were offering other Weres to join them in the safety of their oasis. He has decided to go there, hoping he may find or hear news of others of his clan who may have survived. While still reluctant to take on any role of leadership, he knows he must do whatever is necessary for the safety of all remaining Were-kind.

Personality: Quiet and reserved, somewhat of a loner. He often prefers to do things alone and keep to himself. He hates having ask for help. Despite his appearance, he is surprisingly gentle to those he trusts. On the battlefield, he is quite aggressive and fierce.
