Setting: New York City, USA. Present day.
Genres: Drama. Psychological. Crime. Dark Romance.

Premise: After a particularly nasty workplace argument a detective is given the choice between transferring precincts or attending therapy to learn how to deal with his anger. He chooses the therapist. But what starts off as a few simple sessions on anger management spirals into something more as the therapist and detective get to know each other. The therapist finds themselves becoming overly involved and increasingly invested in their new patient’s personal life - especially when the detective opens up about his highly dysfunctional relationship with his "partner" and the idea of couples therapy is proposed.

The premise for this story is fairly simple, but there's so much we can do with the idea. We want someone who will work with us on creating something beyond the bones that we've got laid down.

So what are we looking for in the therapist? Realism, grey morality, and flexible ethics. After all, the therapist is going to end up intimately involved with their patients. We want to see someone strong, mature, and professional - ideally someone at least in their thirties that has been practicing for a few years. No recent college graduates please. They're going to be dealing with two corrupt cops that have some very serious mental issues and emotional hangups they need to work through. The therapist should be able to hold their own. We'd also like to see someone capable of dominant tendencies as the cops are switches and versatile. The therapy style will need to be queer friendly and kink aware.

The therapist can be a man or a woman as the detectives are both bisexual.
