Yes, so the new Mortal Kombat game is out and I think it would be fun to have a Mortal Kombat game. We could break it up into both fights and people simply interacting on the island the tournament is taking place.

By choice of opinion, people can either pair up their own fights or I can put together a versus list and while the tournament will of course see participants eliminated, their story doesn't need to end there. People can feud behind the scenes and further other plots.

Now generally I don't set up a game with the direct intent of "sex game" but I do like the idea of victor's taking from the losers what they want, be that their life or their ass. But I'll let people decide that between, unless there's an overwhelming interest in doing it or avoiding it.

Its been a while since I have seen such a concept. Honestly I used a fusion system to simulate mortal kombat once and it didn't go off so well but it appealed to me so this might as well.

Custom, although I don't want to get too involved in continuity just for the sake of keeping the game simple. For all intents and purposes I'd assume this is happening during the events of the first Mortal Kombat game (or the 9th XD) but we'll replace its cast of characters with ours.

What is that from anyway Hyena?  I haven't seen half of what was shown in that video, and I've watched the two movies repeatedly lol.  Anyway, I wasn't sure I'd be joining this, but now I think I will, RL be damned.  I do hope this goes over well is the only thing.  Here goes.

Name:  Giselle Do'Urden
Age:  300
Home Country -or realm-:  Forgotten Realms.  Toril, to be precise.  Continent of Faerun.  Home is the Mines of Mithral Hall.

Fighting Style(s): Eskrima.  (The closest I can find to an actual fighting style close to what I use for this character.)  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eskrima

Ninjitsu.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninjutsu  (More specifically Tiajutsu or Unarmed, hand to hand combat.)

Weapon: Double scimitar blades, both heavily enchanted.  Icingdeath is able to absorb any form of fire, magical or otherwise.  For some reason the enchantment has changed since her arrival, and now it instead releases cold ice with every slash, leaving a white as snow trail of energy behind a moment before disappearing, freezing anything it touches.  Twinkle glows with the light of stars, telling the wielder of imminent danger and it has a much sharper edge than what it first appears to possess.
Speciality: Sorcery.  Elemental forces.  (Earth, fire, wind (lightning included,) , water, light, and darkness.)  At least she could before coming to Outworld.  Now she's limited to Teleportation.
Animality:  Black panther.

Reason for entering Mortal Kombat:  Was invited, but when she learns more about MK, it'll be to protect her home from imminent destruction.
Personality:  Giselle is one tough customer that you don't want to cross.  Agile and deadly with her father's blades, the half Drow/light elf is a powerful warrior with an even stronger fighting spirit.  She is compassionate and caring for those she calls friends, but you risk your own life if you cross her or betray her uneasily won trust.  Because of her skin color, she's had to deal with much hatred directed at her evil kin and thus her because she is the same only on the outside, but that never stopped her from defending those in need and destroying, utterly, those that would take advantage or outright hurt others for their own benefits.  When not in a fighting mood, Giselle is able to let her hair down and have fun like anyone else.

Background:Giselle Do'Urden is a chip off the old Do'Urden block, as Bruenor might say if asked.  She is honorable, stoic, fast as greased lightning, and has a heart of gold that shines no matter the darkness.  Still, she is fierce in battle and not one to ever give up, no matter the odds, much like a stubborn dwarven king she knows.  Despite the color of her skin and the hardships it has brought in the past, the halfbred warrior of many battles already doesn't let it slow her down in her drive to see peace brought to any and all lands she visits if war is on the horizon or there are monsters that need slaying before they cause harm to untold innocents.  Her beauty and grace as well as her deadly precision with a blade has earned Giselle the nickname Black Rose because much like a real rose, she has her own thorns that usually come in the form of her deadly whirling scimitar blades she received from her father a hundred and fifty years ago.  Along with her two older brothers, (by a year since they are twins,) Giselle carves a name for herself, earning her own place in Toril's history as a heroine for the ages.  As it has been said before, she's a chip off the old block.

Ah new people getting involved excellent!

However Vergil I must ask you to tone back Giselle's specialties, its really supposed to be one element or trick as an MK character tends to have, as opposed to saying sorcerer and including everything. If your sword is going to have a fire enchantment I'd insist that be your chosen element although I'm not fond of the idea of an enchantment that allows a character to hijack another's speciality, should they choose fire.

Reason for entering Mortal Kombat: Raising money to save an orphanage
Personality: While she tries to appear calm and at peace, there still burns a lust in Eva Maria for combat and other physical pleasures. She is a truly good person trying to do the right thing but her darker side causes her turmoil.
Background: Eva Maria was an orphan on the street of Rio. She did what it took to survive, whether rolling drunks or selling her body. Finally she tried to rob a middle-aged priest, who easily beat her. The man was a former fighter and he offered to train Eva Maria properly in order to harness her passionate temper and set her on the right path. He was successful and Eva Maria chose to cleanse herself of her sins by becoming a nun. Some time later, she learned the convent's orphanage was in danger of being foreclosed on by the greedy landlord. Sister Eva Maria concocted a plan to get the money fast... by entering the most dangerous tournament in the world.

Eh, she's from Toril but she could technically represent either Earth or Outworld so long as it meant restoring it to its former beauty and all that.  If I had to pick though, I'd go for Outworld in the hope of returning it to what it once was before Shao Kahn engineered it's destruction.

Reason for entering Mortal Kombat: Necro Sin wants to test the Kombatants of Mortal Kombat, hoping to find someone who will stack up against him, for a good fight.

Personality: cold, calm and collective, driven by revenge, and anger.

Background: Necro-Sin was sent to the Nether Realm because he was so consumed by his hatred for the person that sent him into his own personal hell. He really doesn't know who this mysterious person was that sent him here, but the only thing he wants is pure revenge for being sent to this baron place of the dead. Necro-Sin lays in wait somewhere deep inside of his own personal hell The Nether Realm, many souls run about doing things as their dead body carcasses will allow them. Necro or Sin as he is called for short in the Nether Realm is one of the greatest and evilest, beings that can be met in the baron of the dead wasteland. Aside from Scorpion and Quan-Chi residing here, because of their hatred Sin is placed out in the middle of the lake of lava.

He trains on a year to year basis, one day in the Nether Realm feels like an eternity. The souls of the dead gather him trying to pull him further and further into the dark abyss of the Nether Realm. Noob Saibot has been known to roam these parts as well, but Necro-Sin has only seen a few of the past combatants here in this hell besides himself, not knowing the person or being that sent him here to this desolate wasteland of bodies and souls. Escaping through a portal when one of the god's returned to Nether Realm recruiting the strong willed souls, Necro-Sin sneaked past and into the portal bringing him directly to Earth Realm. The sun beating down on his pale white skin up under his hood, his sword placed firmly on his side. Sin explored and seen the beauties that Earth Realm offered him, but it didn't offer what he had been searching for the one that sent him to the Nether Realm now he goes into the Mortal Kombat Tournament in hopes of finding the one that sent him to his impending doom.

Well, I like him but I'd expand on his back story a bit myself, but that's just me.  This is Primarch's story anyway so I can't tell ya what to do one way or the other, but it's just my recommendation lol.  Still, I can't wait to see what he can do against another opponent, but for now we'll see what happens I guess.

Name: Desmond Jefferson aka Shade
Age: 27
Home Country: American Born & Raised, Currently Operating out of China.
Fighting Style(s): Muay Thai & Dragon Kung Fu
Weapon: Twin Butterfly Swords. (They fit the concept better in comparison to bowie knives.)
Speciality: Shadow & Darkness (If he had a moveset? It'd be Smoke meets Noob Saibot, with the visual aspect and basis being centered more on Noob's abilities).
Animality: A Dragon
Reason for entering Mortal Kombat: To perform an Assassination

Personality: Desmond is ruthless, and lacks compassion for his foes. He can be morbid and is fairly arrogant. Yet at the same time, he is highly intelligent and a very analytical fighter. He adheres to a personal code of honor, and doesn't believe in evil for the sake of evil. The corrupt and the despotic are meant to be killed in his eyes. There is a good person somewhere inside of Desmond, and he doesn't like killing. However he feels no reservations about it.

Background: Desmond was the son to a highly decorated Marine who also was a highly regarded Muay Thai fighter. His father was abusive and made sure that all he knew was passed onto his son from an early age. Young Desmond got to see much of the world, but found his true calling in China where his father was stationed for many years. Already a master Muay Thai fighter, he began to learn Dragon Kung Fu from a highly skilled master near the base where he resided. What Desmond didn't know however was that his instructor was actually a member of the Lin Kuei who took a personal interest in the young man. Sensing and nurturing Desmond's inherent gift for violence, he also helped to release Desmond's darkness based abilities and eventually saw to it that his young charge was personally inducted into the clan of assassins. His first mission was to challenge and kill his father, which he did gladly in retribution for his own abuse and the unwitting murder of his younger sister that his father was responsible for.
Now operating under the name of Shade, he has become one of the Lin Kuei's top assassins. Notable as being one of the members in the organization who actually has abilities as opposed to relying solely on weapons or technology. He has opposed the notion brought up by some members, that their assasins should be made into cyborgs to improve their capabilities. To prove how being human is a far superior option, he has accepted an invitation given to the guild to participate in a tournament with the aim of performing a hit of the man who sent the invitation.

Glad to see you joining Darkcide, but with the appearance and abilities based on Noob Saibat your OC is a bit lacking in the O department. While a similar moveset I don't mind at all, I'm afraid you can't use a Mortal Kombat character for your appearance.

On another note, we now have 3 Earth Realm and 4 Out world Kombatants. 8 would be a fine number, if we can find one more Earth Realm, unless someone fancies a two on one match. :P

Outside of the beginning of the tournament, I wouldn't have him in the Noob Saibot costume. I just needed a ninja getup that was black. That costume is the closest thing I could find in terms of aesthetic to how Lin Kuei outfits look but ok.

Reason for entering Mortal Kombat:  "I just want a purpose in the world again."
Personality:  Despite his rough start, Adronis is at least capable of kindness, but trust is not something he gives freely.  He's a loner, especially after he lost the only woman he had ever loved.  He fights because he can, having lost all purpose and will to live save to for the thrill of battle, in which case he is deadly proficient and cold as the steel he uses.
Background:  Raised on the streets without any parents to speak of, Adronis knew no warmth, no hope, and no mercy until the day he met someone that turned his life around....to a degree.  It was an ailing karate master, an old man that took the young man under his wing and taught him everything he knew, giving hope, if not purpose.  Educating the young man for ten years, the old man died of natural causes, and his dojo torn down shortly afterward.  Adronis had been long gone before the place was tore down to clear the way for some new housing complex, finding his way to Japan, where karate had been born, or so the stories said anyway.  Finding another master that saw his raw potential, as well as a measure of anger that he hoped to purge from the young man's soul, a teacher took him in and taught him how to use a blade, a katana.  Again, another ten years, and Adronis mastered that as well, but something happened along the way.  He had met a girl, a woman as beautiful as a lotus flower in bloom.  Fate would tear them apart, her father having made deals with the wrong people and losing money that he was to pay or lose his daughter to the ruthless Yakuza gangs.  Adronis heard of this, and when he broke through enemy lines, he saw the leader kill the only woman he had ever loved, and that was when he snapped.

What was left of the Yakuza clan when the smoke cleared and the bodies discovered that same dark night after an intense shootout against a single man who was an unstoppable demon of destruction were a mass of sliced remains from deadly precise katana strikes.  All of them had been hit once, two times max, and the bullet casings that were scattered about told a story of their own since more than a few had been sliced in half as they had left their gun chambers, but how a human could do such untold feats was not even discussed since it just wasn't possible, yet evidence said otherwise.  Another puzzle was that the woman's body was gone, and no one could find a clue as to where the girl had gone, but the blood where she had lain told that she hadn't walked out of that building on her own.  She had been buried, placed on a hill that overlooked the girl's former village, and Adronis disappeared into the sunset, being a ghost of his former self, an almost hollowed out shell save for when he was fighting.  Then a shred of his old personality can be seen, driven, passionate, yet deadly.

Like Darkcide's character was originally, "Vergillis" is a bit lacking on the O part of an OC. A bit too similar to Vergil.

Reason for entering Mortal Kombat: Saving the world!
Personality:
Having been raised in a military family, Allison was raised with a strong sense of right and wrong, black and white. She can, however, relax and have a good time with people, it's just not quite the easiest thing in the world for her. A bit too serious for her own good, one might say. She's very protective of her friends and has a strong urge to protect them, and she's very pleased to have been asked to participate in the tournament.

Background:
Born to a pair of parents, her mother a martial arts instructor and her father an airforce pilot, Allison was raised to defend herself, value the ideas of 'American Freedom,' and those around her. Her mother made sure to enroll her in karate at a young age, avoiding the basic American Sport Karate and making sure she knew how to defend herself properly. She eventually found her true calling, the art of Bōjutsu, and started to train in that.

She excelled, quickly becoming quite talented, and started to enter tournaments where she began to place better and better all the time.  Of course, none of these even compared to the invitation for a tournament that would change her life forever...

Not to nitpick or anything like that, but I think Primarch's post went on a bit after the actual landing of the boats, since he described our character's rooms and such. No worries, though.

Its on my to do list! I've been totally swamped watching season one of Modern Family with college work, and it was like really early in the morning when I posted this stuff. :P
