The idea was to cause a boom in the company's popularity. In the world's overwhelming acceptance of homosexuality and equality, what better way to thrust yourself into the limelight than to embrace it yourself? A world-famous CEO not only emerging as gay, but announcing a marriage to his personal assistant would grab every single headline - all it would take was a bit of acting, a few public kisses and candle-lit dinners.

They both agreed that it was a perfect plan. Of course neither of them felt anything beyond mutual respect towards one another, but they were good actors. They could fool the presses and the public whilst maintaining their professional standing.

Everything proceeded as planned. The statement was made to a small-town newspaper in the guise of it wishing to be kept private, but of course the news spread like wildfire. Within the week the company was flooded with requests for the 'couple' to appear on television, to give interviews; the plan had worked perfectly... perhaps a little too perfectly.

Somewhere between the dinners, the TV appearances and the flood of questions, genuine feelings somehow began to emerge. It was never supposed to be personal - only professional, but even the most hardened businessmen can't fully control their hearts. The assistant does his best to ignore his feelings; to press on with the fake decelerations of love and false kisses as if they mean nothing to him... but there is a limit to how long he can lie to himself. What will happen when he dares confess? Will he ever have the courage to do so?
