I'll kick this off with my favorite movie even to this day... Labyrinth, starring David Bowie ;)

So many good choices from the 80's with Star Wars and Star Trek... But ultimately I'd have to go with The Lost Boys. Young Keifer Sutherland as a vampire. Amazing.

Bladerunner (the greatest sci-fi film of all time)

If you're searching the lines for a point, well you've probably missed it; there was never anything there in the first place.

I didn't know Die Hard was an eighties movie. My personal favorite is Breakfast Club. Hell any John Hughes film is awesome but it's the Breakfast Club that takes the cake for me.

TheLegionary

I liked Lady Hawke, even though there were other good movies.

hmm I thought about saying Star Wars or Star Trek but I absolutely love all three of the Back to the Future movies and I have a thing for Deloreans xD. Back to the Future part III was released in 1990 but I still consider it an 80's film.

Flash Gordon.  Well, okay, not really, there are plenty of better films, but…

“Flash!  Ahhhhhaaa!  He’ll save every one of us!”

How can you not appreciate a film scored by Queen?  ;)

Also, yah for Labyrinth!  I watched that so many times as a kid.

So many great 80's films... Full Metal Jacket was pretty good especially the basic training part.

RipTide

Ferris Beuller's Day Off!! Not just from the 80s, but probably of all time.

E.T. the Extra Terrestrial from 1982.

Any movie with Dungeons and Dragons in it can't be too bad.

Hrairoo

Beetlejuice is my favorite. Great, dark, family film.

I think it's a three way tie between Princess Bride, Labyrinth, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

I would say honorable mentions for me include Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, Ladyhawke, etc. simply because of how quotable they are at a D&D table.  ;D

Dead Poets Society

Oh man, I loved Dead Poets Society as well.

And how could I forget The Neverending Story. That was a love of mine growing up as well.
