(OOC: Sorry about the delay, some RL issues came up that needed to be dealt with)

Jax waved at them both as he got back into position. "Anytime." He took the money and gave it a funny look but nodded when she explained what it was and why.  "Then I thank you for the Tip. I'll put it someplace safe and show it to the kids tonight." Jax said with a twinkle in his eye and a wink as he carefully folded the money and tucked it into a oiled pouch at his hip. "Now, remember what I told you two. The wife'll have my hide if I didn't remind you of the offer and anytime you want to try your hand at glider work you come see me. We'll set you up." With that he pushed off and dipped down towards the rushing water before soaring back into the air.

"Flying has never agreed with me. I like to have my feet on something solid." Richard said looking a little green but clearing up quickly as they hit the streets. Some people gave her a curious glance and a few of those same eyes narrowed at the sight of Richard as he walked by. "I am not sure I can truely imagine what this must be like for you. I have trouble picturing a world like the one you come from. Where there are only humans and not dinosaurs to live with." He side stepped around a group of kids being herded by an harried Oviraptor.

She lived to fly, but to fly here, she would have to go back to school. She had been in gliders before, but they were more advanced, more enclosed and with more safety features than the gliders that were used here. She felt as if she had gone back in time almost, no modern technology that she was used to, nothing.

"Flying isnt for everyone. If at first you try and dont succeed, avoid skydiving", she said with a grin and walked quickly to keep up with Richard. He knew exactly where to go, while she had no idea. If he was lost from her sight, she would have been well and truly lost here.
"No, you have no idea. It would be like you being lead along the streets of San Diego, or San Francisco. Cars, buses and trucks going by, no dinosaurs in sight. Tall buildings around you, the smells of oil, gas, smog. Its not all bad though, we do have marvels. We like to shape the world, build upwards and show off our engineering marvels", she told him, trying to picture him on the streets of the cities that she called home.

Staring at the Oviraptor, she couldnt help but laugh at the almost humanlike harried look that it had. They may be different species, but some things were the same no matter where you were.

"Kids, dad wanted me to give him some kids, but I was too much of a free spirit to settle down. I wanted to get myself set up somewhere before finding a man to share my life", she told Richard, opening up to him, then took several more pictures with her phones camera.

"This place truly is huge. I feel as if I could be here a month, and still not see all of it. They will accept me right", she asked him as she was getting more curious looks. It had to be her clothes, they were made of heavier materials, made by machines, not hand made like the clothes that she saw on everyone.

"I shall take your advice. I am not one to avoid something just because it frightens me some. Face fear head on and never let it rule you. That is why I continue to take Jaxs glider." He replied and slowed down some. He had forgotten that, while this was normal to him, it was her first day in a city like this, almostly litteraly a brand new world. "I guess each of our worlds has to be seen first to be believed."

"Mother sometimes asks when I will settle down and have children. Honestly, I never gave it much thought. Unlikely I ever will." He got kind of a far away look in his eye before shaking it off and going back to the devilish outdoorsman again. "It is. The architects have to build large. Some of the people measure almost 100 paces in length." He grinned at her wonderment, sometimes he forgot how outsiders saw it when they were not bigoted. "You have as much time as you want to look around. I'm certain they will accept you. You just look a little strange is all. All Outsiders tend to attract attention to themselves. You're something new, unique and interesting. People here don't judge very harshly." The last bit was said lightly enough, but there was just a very minor tone of bitterness.

The roads branched out after they left the busy section of the open air market and while they didn't thin as much as would be expected, the type of person started to change slightly. There seemed to be more family types moving about with the occassional vendor selling specialized goods, some familar like combs and brushes to the bizzar like hooked instruments and fanged rakes. He took her down a side ally, small enough to be considered a single lane road back where she was from, to another street and stopped before a three story house painted in bright blues and yellows. While it was as clean as the rest of the city that she had seen, it had the air of being slightly rundown and "Looks like we arrived before Limix did."

"If you dont control your fears, they'll control you. More of Dads wisdom. I am who I am because of him, for better or worse, for the better I hope", she said with a grin and continued to look around, taking in everything that this strange new world was. She couldnt wait to get her sketchpad out and do some sketchings. If this island, Dinotopia had a regular paper, she could do cartoons for it, just an idea of course.

"They do need to be seen. I'm at ease out there as you are here, but the people havnt been giving me any wary looks, so, they're curious about me. Thats better than the other reaction, flaming torches and pitchforks", she said, then realised that he wouldnt know what that meant.

She did sense a bitter tone in that comment, but couldnt think of a reason why. Perhaps Richard and Limix werent as popular because of what they did, going out into the Rainy Basin.

"Everyone has a part to play in this stage that the world is. I have mine, you have yours, so does Limix. We all make our mark. I'll stand by you,  you just need to ask", she told him and continued to follow him through the city. She could tell the changes around them. They were getting to the residential part, but still passed stalls selling items that she would see in beachside markets.

Staying with him, she followed him down an alley that was wide enough for a truck to drive through, if any suddenly appeared, that is. Laura was trying to memorise where she was going and how to find her way back to the open air market if she had to, but this was like something out of a fantasy book she had seen and read in primary school, but the name of it eluded her.

At last, she stood in front of Richard and Limix's house. To her eyes, it looked like something out of Italy, apart from the blue and yellow paint job. Glancing around, she felt reasured by the presence of the pistol against her back, yet this was Dinotopia, a place where guns werent necessary. No-one would try to rob them here.

"Have we.  I have to say, I like it. Its not quite perfect. It has that..lived in look and feel to it already. So, give me the grand tour. Limix isnt going to ambush me..right", she asked him, unsure if they kept certain skills sharp for when they were needed.

Skystomp

"No, she has no sense of humor. Some will pretend to stalk you, but you can tell becuse you will see them. The obvious approach and hiding spots that are not very good. Such as standing with just the head hidden. Limix understands human humor but she doesn't find it funny. It makes working with her tense at times, but at least I always know she is serious." He said checking the door quickly and undid the latch holding it shut. He didn't even unlock it. The latch was obviously there just to keep the door shut but not to keep anything other then the smallest of children out.

Walking in was like walking into an ancient store filled with innumerable knick knacks, trinkets, plants and other oddities, only without the dust and musty smell. The light itself came from many windows set high up allowing unobstructed sunlight to filter in and allowing the plants to flurish. The inside of the house smelled sharply of something like cinnimon crossed with an undertone of pumpkin. Further exploration would reveal the source of the sent being some of the plants. Books and scrolls covered every surface that wasn't already covered with something else. Ancient books and some that appeared to be modern ranging from philosophy to an old worn copy of Robert Heinlens Have Spacesuit will Travel. Statues of men with the heads of dinosaurs. Scrolls covered in the footprint writing she had seen already. One wall was covered in clay or ceramic pots sealed with wax, each with a neat little footprint note written on it. The rafters held no skeletons or other oddites, surprising given how much was scattered around the large central room. Towards the back a broad ramp lead upwards to the second story floor and a short tunnel lead into the back of the house.

"Please, enter and be welcomed. Feel welcomed to look around and explore." he said politely shucking his own pack near the jars and carefully removing bundles and placing them into boxes set near the ground.

Laughing soflty as Richard explained Limix and anyone else who might stalk her, she had known people like Limix, socially confused, but excelled in other fields. They knew their work, but when it came to socialising, and humor, they found themselves isolated.

"I'm sure that we'll get along, once I become more comfortable with her", she added, then followed Richard inside his home. The inside was as lived in as the outside, and matched with their natures and ways of living. She had lived near a greenhouse at one of the places that her father had stayed at, and had found work there. It was just watering the plants when the owners were away and being visible to secure against break-in's, but she had never seen the plants that she was seeing here in the outside world.

Walking up to the many plants, she traced her fingers over their leaves and took in their scents. She soon found the source of the Cinnimon and pumpkin scent that filled the air. The scrolls and books were another thing entirely. The scrolls were in the same footprint script, clearly the dominant language here, and one that she would have to devote herself to learning.

Some of the books were in english, her native language, and smiled at the sight of one of Robert Heinlen's books. Opening up her pack, she fished in and took out a book that her brother had loaned her a month ago, but she hadnt had a chance to written, a collection of sci fi stories written by sci fi writers, among them Heinlen and Issac Assimov.

"I think you could use some new reading material. I havnt read this one yet. I'm still going through Tony Wheelers book Bad Lands, so, you'll probably read it before I will. Consider it a gift", she said, then placed it on the bookcase where several other books were.

She gaped at the statues with dinosaur heads on them, something that she wouldnt have seen outside this island, and wondered what was in the sealed ceramic pots. "So, just curious, what's in the pots", she asked him and looked around for Limix, but she couldnt see a velociraptor's body anywhere.

"Upstairs we go next", she added and walked towards the ramp, curious and eager to see more of their house. She assumed that she was the first stranger to be shown around in a while and wanted to see everything. Plus, she wanted to see the top levels, and if there was a rooftop entrance, then she could sketch there, with the city spread around her in every direction.

"Excellent. Something new to ponder over." He ducked under the table and grabbed something else and began wrapping what looked like clubbed ferms together carefully. "The jars? Mostly dried and ground up plants, herbs and spices. they are the main reason Limix and I head into Rainy Basin. Many rare plants grow there and they are not the easiest to harvest. This trip was for these ferns. They make up a medicine for younglings who get sick just out of the shell. Some of the others have Bonehead fish oil," He paused looked to the left and up slightly and suddered, "I hope to never have to get more of that ever again. The rest have other rare ingrediants used in medicine. Please, feel free to look around. I must tend to these before they go bad." He explained as he wrapped the ferns and then hung the first batch on a hook that sat in the middle of a wide beam of sunlight.

The upstairs wasn't nearly as packed with things as the first level was. The ramp was broad and shallow allowing for those with wide thick feet to assend without much strain. For a healthy human, it was no challenge at all. The upper level was almost a mirror of the first level, again large artfully placed windows allowed sunlight to stream in no matter the time of day giving it a warm comfortable feel. The front large room was ringed with low padded couches, ornate high backed chairs and strange U shapped benches. In the corner there was a decent sized wooden desk covered in what looked like a half dozen projects of wood, metal and glass. There apparently was a walking machice off to the side as well. Full woven tapastries hung from the walls and a large pane of glass allowed a view up and down the street and across the street where a dinosaur was enjoying the sunlight while it walked in place, on its own walking machine, head down reading something that flashed past and the reasoning for it became obvious. The walking was powering whatever it was reading.

Another short hall led into the back where there were several much smaller rooms. Two were obviously lived in, one had what looked like a round bed made of polished woven branches and piled deep with blankets and small pillows with frills. Given that it didn't look like a normal bed, it must have been where Limix slept. The other had a much more normal looking bed and it was obvious that Richard was a heavy sleeper from the mess the bed and the sheets were in. There was one interesting thing of note in Richards room, there was a painted portrait on one wall that showed a young boy standing next to young lookign woman and man. The woman strongly resembled Richard of today. A grizzled older looking man with a bent hat stood next to the couple, a hand on the young Richards shoulder.

The extra 4 rooms were split evenly between the two types of beds and it looked like none of them had been used in some time. The one room that was truely bizzare, once she figured out what it was supposed to be, was the privy. Some strange engineering had gone into making it usable by a multitude of species and body builds. There was a small, when compared to everything else, ramp that lead to the third level which was composed of a dusty attic and a small door that lead to, of all things, a tower. It wasn't very big and it obviously wouldn't have suited even a small dinosaur, but there was just enough room for a human to see most of the city.

Grinning as he liked the new book, she wondered how many books from outside made it here. Not too many, as she remembered him saying that most newcomers were shpwrecked here, or their planes were destroyed. Hers had crashed more or less intact, if you ignored the fact that it was suspended in a tree in the Rany basin, and would never fly again.

"Ah, so your like..into Chinese medicine, using natures own to cure illnesses, not using things made by machines, very innovative, and they l clearly work, judging by the range", she said, proud of him as he was a doer and made do with what came his way. In the outside, he was one of the few who could survive when everyone else died out, unless many others did the same as he did.

"I'm guessing that the Rainy basin detail doesnt get many volunteers, so you would corner the market in these medicines. Business is clearly good", she soflty said, and left him to his work. She didnt want to get in his way or get underfoot. She would find a room to call her own here, and explore further.
Exploring through the first level, she was drawn to the artfully crafted, ornate high backed chairs, the low padded couches, and confused by the U shaped benches. Just who could sit on them, she had no idea, no idea at all.

He truly was a tinkerer, just like one of her uncles, a trait that she loved about him. She looked around for Limix, but she was nowhere to be seen, or perhaps she was just too well hidden. Taking a close look at the tapestries, she was drawn to the walking machine, an exercise machine perhaps.

Once she saw the dinosaur through the window, she figured out what the walking machine truly was, and how incredible it was in its simplicity. The bedrooms were even more..incredible. The one with the round, woven one had to be Limix's, as only a dinosaur would be comfortable in it. The other room had a more normal bed, and by the way it was messed up, he did a lot of sleeping here. She was the same after a long flight.

Not intending to spend a lot of time in what was Richards private room, she gaped at the painted portrait on the wall. She could tell that it had been painted when Richard was younger. Were his parents alive, she hoped so, as she wanted to meet them, to meet the people that had shaped Richard into who he was today, the kind hearted man who had helped her.
Walking down the passage, she stepped into a room with a 'normal' bed, one suitable for a human, and dropped her Duffel bag down on the bed. From the looks of these rooms, they hadnt had guests in a while. She was glad to be his guest, and after glancing around, took her pistol from under her jacket, ejected the magazine and round in the chamber, then placed all three items at the bottom of the bag.

Shocked at the privy, the bathroom as most Americans called them, she marvelled at the many species that could use it, not just human, and walked up the ramp to get to the third level. The tower was the real find, a place where one could look over the city and marvel at it.
After a quick trip down two levels to retreive her sketchpad and pencils, then another quick trip back to the tower, she got settled in and began to sketch.

She found it easy to draw. She didnt have a photographic memory, she just found it easy. As she sat in the tower, her hands moved, drawing the city before her, what she could see of the waterfalls, and the moutains. Set into the mountains, she drew Richards face, then Limix's, with a glider flying over the city. She did the sketch in straight black pencil, shading in, then moved to her colored ones and worked to make it look as lifelike as possible, her first sketch for them.

Richard grinned as she went off to explore his house. It wasn't much, well, to him it wasn't much, but it was a place to hang his hat and catch up on events. The house had belonged to an old Weather Taker, hence the small tower at the very top. He was still busy laying the plants out properly to dry when the door opened. He looked up expected to see Limix arriving early and the greeting on his lips died just as quickly when he saw who had entered. "What do you want?" He demanded of the old man that limped in.
"Now is that a way for a boy to great his Grandfather? I hear you got a new arrival. Now you weren't going to go runnin' off with that scaly of yours and not introduce us were you." The old man ground out.
"I will not have you refering to her like that. This is my home Grandfather. You Will respect that." Richard growled disrespectfully. "Where are your watchers. They should be here with you..."
"Boy, don't think that because I'm an old man that you can disrespect me. I can't still crack you upside your head." The old man snapped interupting Richard. "Now boy, introduce me to this young lady you've brought back. I hear she was a flier on the outside." The old man continued in a much more jovial tone.
"You should leave before Limix arrives..."
"I have a good word that she won't be arriving for quite some time. Work on the bridges picked up a bit today." The old man said streching. "Now, were is this pretty lass? Have to make sure she's got the right look on this place."

Sitting comfortably, she separated the finished sketch from the pad, then began to draw San Francisco as best she could remember. Drawing the Golden Gate bridge, with Alcatraz Island as well, she was just doing the outline of the buildings when she felt hungry. Bringing her sketch pad and pencils down with her, she climbed down the tower, then down to the next floor to help herself to one of the honey and oats bars that wouldnt last long the way she would go through them here.

She did like scrambled eggs, but since Dinosaurs came from eggs, she doubted that they would be eaten. "Would probably call it murder", she said soflty, then lifted her chin up as she heard voices coming from the ground floor. She could hear Richards side, then someone elses. From Richards tone, he wasnt happy to see whoever else it was in the room.

Curious to see who it was, she slipped out of her flying jacket and continued eating while making her way down to the ground floor. Walking down the ramp, she saw both men turn to her as they heard her footsteps.

"I'm sorry, am I interupting anything", she said while slipping a lock of her jet black hair behind her ear. "So who's your visitor", she added, curious about him, and ready to defend Richard if he needed it.

She sensed a very bad vibe coming from Richard, he didnt want his guest here, but she wasnt sure what to say exactly. "I can come back if this is a bad time", she said, looking from face to face.

Skystomp

Richard winced when Laura came back down. He had hoped to shoo his Grandfather away before this meeting could happen.
"He..." Richard started to say and was verbally overrun by the older man in question.
"Don't be silly, lass. You'll not be interupting anything that was going to happen anyway. Tis a pleasure to meet you. I'm Lee Crabb, the boys Grandfather. He was just about to introduce us while we were alone." With that he hand out a large rough looking hand to shake. "We humans have to stick together." He said warmly.

Looking from face to face, she saw something that wasnt happiness on Richard's face. He didnt want her down here, but it was too late, and she had to see this through.

He was dressed not much differently to his grandson, yet he looked to be about 60 maybe, so how could he be his grandfather, she had no idea.

"Well, I have to say, you look good for your age", she said just as warmly, unwilling to make enemies if she didnt have to, and accepted his hand and shook it.

"Its a pleasure to meet you then, I'm Laura. So do you do something similiar to what Richard does, or do you have another line of work. Me, I'm a pilot..well,,was a pilot. I'm a pilot without a working plane", she said as she shook his hand.

She didnt know what to say about his comment about humans having to stick together, and looked to Richard.

Skystomp

"Ah honest flattery. Does an old man's bones good to hear those simple words from such a lovely lass. Especially one with a lovely name Miss Laura. No, nothing quite like what my grandson does. I'm more... a jack of all trades. I do a little bit of everything." The old man listened carefully to what she had to say and spoke again carefully. "A plane you say? I.."
"Chu nok larist..." Richard started to say heatedly hand slashing at the air.
"Richard! How very rude of you. I thought you were raised better then that. You shouldn't speak scaly in front of a guest. Its rude. You wouldn't want her to think you have something to hide now would you?" The old man asked resonably as Richards face flared with color. "I wouldn't say I'm a betting man, but I'd bet that this young lady has family on the outside world. You wouldn't try and keep her here against her will would you? That isn't the Dinotopian way. We help people. I simply wish to help her return home. Your plane? Did it crash.." The old man started to ask before glancing at the plants drying, "ah, it crashed in Rainy Basin didn't it? If it is intact I know some humans who have knowledge of airplanes and engines. They may be able to fix your plane. Then you would be able to return home. Perhaps, if you were willing to repay the favor, take some other people who long to go home with you?""
"This is not the time or place for you to speak of this Grandfather. Leave now. I do not wish to have any association with you or your 'friends'. This is my house. You know the rules for Guests. Please leave, now." Richard ground out, his face still flushed from embarresment.
The old man waved aside the not quite order. "I will boy. But she deserves to know the truth, doesn't she? If you'd like to meet, come down to the Drowned Branch out by the river. My friends will take care of you. Tell them Lee Crabb sent you. If anyone can fix your plane, they can. Many of us would like to leave. Find our familes again. However it would appear I have upset my Grandson. I guess he had plans to seduce you and I foolishly interupted them. Takes after his father he does." Lee laughed humerously. "Now I shall take my leave, please consider what I have said young lady. There is no reason for you to spend your life grubbing in the mud and tending eggs for the scaleys." With that Lee swung his cane around and bowed smoothly to Laura before striding for the door and out into the street.

By Richards use of Dinotopian, spoken instinctively, she knew that that was the primary langauge spoken by him, and when one got excited, or angry, it came out automatically. She didnt know what to make of Lee Crabb, he certainly had character, but he and his grandson didnt see eye to eye.

"A bit of everything, well, I'm glad to hear that, men like you arent prevalent outside this Island. Yes, a plane, although it is in about three peices. The tail and left wing sheared off. You would need an arc welder and power tools to fix it, and a knowledge of Electrical systems, which I have to a degree, but im no Engineer", she replied, then listened as he continued talking.

"The Rainy Basin is, from what I can tell, dangrous, and Im partial to breathing, which I wont be if Im eaten. I would need considerable backup to not only get my plane down from the tree, but to get it out. It would be a huge endeavor", she added, and looked at him surprised as she heard that others here had knowledge of airplanes and engines, and the yearning to return home.

Looking from Richard to his grandfather, she was taking in a lot. She trusted Richard and owed him, but she was willing to consider all options, including ways of returning to the outside. Yet, that would mean exposure of this island, and if the outside world came knocking, their whole style of living would be lost. It would be when Europeans made contact with the Aztecs, and other indiginous tribes, it went very badly for them.

She didnt want to say that she was curious, as she didnt have all the facts about Richards grandfather, or his friends, but once she got to exploring the island, she might take a look at this Drowned Branch tavern, or bar. Still, she didnt say anything direct about his offer as Richard was becoming more and more desperate to get him out.

"Ok, well, it was..good to meet you and, I'm sure that one of us will find the other in due time", she replied as he bowed smoothly, like a courtier, then walked to the door and was back outside again, leaving the two of them alone.

"Ok, firstly, I dont intend to tell him where my plane is, secondly, i wont use the term, scaley, so.. tell me about him, and who would want to leave here so badly that they would risk encountering Carnosaurs to get my plane",she asked Richard, curious about him and this Drowned Branch bar that lee had talked about.

"Oh, and by the way, that tower up there is incredible, you can see the whole city from there. I got a pretty good sketch of it if you want to see it", she said as he calmed down.

Skystomp

"As much as I would like you to see Dinotopia as perfect, it is far from it I am afraid." He sighed heavily and stroked his mustache as he pulled out a stool and flopped onto it. "He was one of the people long long ago that found the fabled World Beneath. He and Professor Denison found something similar to our sunstones called a Ruby Sunstone that could power huge machines. It was ost beneath the waves when he was stopped. That was not the first time and it was not the last. Again after that he tried to stockpile weapons from the empire of Chandara. Of course he escaped again somehow, I think it was with help from the ship wrecked soldiers that came later. He has never said how. The soldiers wanted to leave and could not. Not because they were stopped, but because we did not know anyway to leave. Many of them did not beleive what they were told and Grandfather insisted that there must be a way to leave. He has spent almost every waking moment planning and plotting to leave. To take what he wants from here and, I fear, to come back and conquer it. He beleives that all humans here are slaves. Sadly mother and father had taken his beliefs to heart. I have not done so. I do not beleive him. Even though others think and look down on me because of the actions of my family I still strive to do good things." He looked up at her with regret. "It is a lot to take in and I am sorry you had to learn of it this way. I did not mean to deceive you, but I understand if that is how you feel. I think he and many of the soldier arrivals wish to leave. Personally I wish they would and never come back. They cause much trouble to those of us who wish only to live in peace. I believe that if he can find your plane and fix it, they may actually be able to leave. I do not know for certain if they could fix it or even power it." Richard smiled again, this time more naturally. "This house used to belong to a Weather Watcher. The tower was where she would track the clouds and weather patters and judge how severe the storms would be. I am glad that it gave you a view of the city that you enjoy. You should try and watch a sunset or sunrise from there. The view is breath taking."

"No place is perfect Richard, which is the message of a movie called the Beach, an island off part of Asia with a perfect beach, and three backpackers go out to find it, live there for a while, only to find that there is a price to pay for living in paradise. Most of those there end up leaving the island, but, I can tell you about that later", she said as he explained about the World Beneath, a place that had her hankering to see it.

Sitting down as well, she listened closely as he also explained about his grandfather, and why grandfather and grandson dont see eye to eye. Richard wanted to stay, while Lee wants to leave with the soldiers, whoever they were. If she wasnt willing to pilot her plane if they did somehow manage to fix it, one of the crew from the bomber, who Richard had mentioned before could if he was one of the ones in lee Crabbs camp.

"I havnt been here very long, but from what I can see, all the humans here arent what you would call..oppressed. You certainly arent, and while I havnt spent as long here as you have, you're happy with Limix, and Jax wasnt what anyone would call unhappy either", she said, going over what he told her.

"Its ok, you would have told me about this other faction sooner or later, I'm sure, but I dont think they could fix it. Finding it and getting it out of the Rainy Basin is doable, but fixing it wont be easy, and any repair shop on the outside would take one look at my plane and call it a write-off. They would need quality electrical wiring, sheet panels, a way to heat the metal and fix the breeches in the fuselage, not to mention, the lightning strike  killed my radio, transponder and emergency beacon", she said, telling Richard quite a few reasons why she didnt think her plane was fixable.

"Perhaps later on, I could go down to this..Drowned Branch, pretend to be interested and find out just how they could fix my plane. My own weapon has to stay a secret, do you have a hiding place for it here, that Lee and no one else would find", she asked him, as she didnt want to lose it, and especially didnt want to lose it to lee Crabb.

"Im assuming that..you're painted with the same brush as your grandfather because of what he's done, right. Its amazing, no mater how far I am from the outside, some things dont change. You're not your Grandfather. Hmm, if he had a sunstone, that could power my plane, hmm, he just might be able to pull it off, but conquering Dinotopia, I doubt that. Compared to some of the dictators and Tyrants that have graced history, he's small fry", she added.

"I just might do that, tomorrow morning, lets both see the sunrise", she said, then moved closer to Richard as he still looked tense. "Lets go out, walk this off, show me some more of this  City, where newcomers go to after arriving", she added and rested her hand on his.

"Not just my Grandfather, my mother and father as well. They look at me as if waiting for me to be like them." He sighed, blowing out the end of his mustache like a walrus, and straightened up. "Of course, you are correct. I should not let it bother me as much as it does. The horestails are done and just need to dry out fully." He said, the last part mostly to himself. "That being done, I shall show you the sights. It will take my mind off this."

"Your parents as well, thats just..it's wrong on so many levels, what they're doing. Well, I know that your not like your grandfather, and I will stick by you no matter what. Anyone harms you, harms me", she said, as she liked him and had come to know him better over the last few days.

"Anything that takes your mind off this would be a good thing. I've never been a beleiver of the Sins of the Father stuff. Everyone is different", she added and slipped up to him and took his hand in hers.

"Come, show me where you like to go, who you like to buy from, and where a new woman to the city would pick up some new threads to wear, and a good jacket. Not that my flying jacket wont do, but it wont last forever. What would be a good trade or barter for those items", she asked him, as it was clear that money had no value here, and she didnt want to be too dependant on Richard and Limix for everything.
