Sorry to see ya go Jaden, it's cool and understanding since we're still trying to figure things out ourselves in all honesty.  At any rate, let's continue on the discussion shall we?  ;D

I wanted to go with our own universe anyway so there's no tie ins to the anime besides the spell book and the basic ideas of what it could do anyway so that's fine by me Haibane.  Beyond that, aye, we'd need at least one person to actually find it, and if we go a step further at least one person to try to help translate it so that everyone can read it well enough.  After that then we can worry about the major issues of who ends up drawing the short straw so to speak.  ;D  Joking aside, we do need to get the plot squared away, once we do that I'll probably make a new interest thread once we agree on a few things, move the approved character sheets over, as well as any relevant information we've established as well so there's not so much obvious confusion among hopeful newcomers and the like.

At any rate, the whole student council president idea was used in the anime if I remember right with some rather interesting revenge spell work used against the young woman lol.  She ended up being forced to strip in front of the entire class and jerk herself off, and no one felt ashamed but rather pitied her if I remember right.  :P  Or something like that anyway, but the point is if we go for something similar or that idea itself, we could easily come up with a way to make it our own regardless lol.  That could begin the group of people that start their own little 'magic club' into practicing more of the spells, maybe helping a few people get connected with the people they love or lust after for a few extra bucks, and then eventually someone gets the bright idea to start doing more and more depraved things until eventually either our bad guy/gal gets involved and takes things to a whole new level of insanity.  Just a few ideas of my own real quick, but regardless we'd need a few people, PC or NPC alike, to experiment on along the way if nothing else happens but we do need a plot, of that I will continue to stress regardless of how we get there.

I'd suggest we start the game with the book found AND translated and the wanna-be occultists or witches ready to go. Any other plot will just slow everything to a crawl. Why bother spending game time translating the book when nothing can happen anyway until its translated? You'll notice that in the anime it was simply translated in a few short images/scenes that lasted about 2 minutes, then the plot moved onto the juicy bits. In reality three Japanese high schoolers translating a Latin-French ancient text could have taken months, but for the sake of the interesting bits of the story, that was all skipped. I suggest we do the same.

I agree that the girl who was bewitched to masturbate on the stage in front of the entire school was a very hot scene.

Anyway, I´m planning to make Aya one of the people against the bad guys. She can join in some spells at first, but later she would oppose the use of that book. Unless one of the bad guys use a love spell on her and make her a pet. ;P

I could volunteer my guy to be one who found the book but he lacked linquistic skills to translate it and so teaming up with someone he translated the book and founded the occult/magic club, if no one minds it?

I think a guy finding the book and trying to translate it and realising it contained magic love spells and getting all perverted ideas about it is a good one.

He could certainly team up with a more senior student who has better knowledge of languages. I could play such a girl, maybe President of the Linguistics Club. Once formed as a team they could try to set up a Witchcraft Club but be turned down by the snooty Student Council President who they then get their revenge on.

Works for me.  If we need a place to practice I think I could make a place in my background information, either a mansion since he might be better off than most or at least a simple basement or attic or something in a regular house, either way I wouldn't be against having a place set up for the use of our magical naughtiness.  ;D

Sounds good idea Haibane :). So roll your char who is senior student who runs linquistic/culture club and my char contacts her as he managed translate himself enough to know the book is somekind black magic tome (and perhaps genuine). But if he does it alone it takes years to manage.....so he contacts your char and uses your expertise and club members to translate the book into new book (and he himself stores original somewhere secure place).

Considering my char is high social class in wealth wise, the magic club could gather at his mansion where he would live alone minus perhaps pretty maid or two to do the general house keeping (and would be perhaps first test subject for spells from said book) ;). So mansion would become main place where grander rituals take place (while school has own room/area once they get back on the student council president).

I was thinking to keep the action in school and maybe everyone's an ordinary student. Too many games seem to include fantastically rich or talented characters. I do much prefer the ordinary and mundane.

Vergil - in your original character requirements you set the minimum age at 18. Was there any special reason for that? I was just thinking it makes a school setting quite hard to do as 18 is the high school leaving age in Japan with students turning 16 in their first year, 17 in their second and 18 in their third and final year.

It was just a thought regarding the rich and all that I had thought to put together for my own history myself.  Still, I see your point Haibane.  As for the age, that's a personal preference due to some past RL drama, not personal RL drama but family related anyway.  I know E rules say 16 years of age at minimum but I myself feel better at 18.  If you want to know more I'll send ya a PM about it.

Ok, me and Kimera were thinking about making our character sisters. They could both join the black magic club, once it´s formed. To put it simply, Akira (Kimera´s character) could turn to the dark side, while Aya (my character) would try to bring her back to the light side. What do you all think about that?

We're short on everyone really Villain so any help would be greatly appreciated I say.  Sorry for the delay on my end guys and gals, Thanksgiving and all that had me busy as I'm sure most if not all of you can agree to lol.  At any rate, the sister act is fine by me Kimera and Annie so I say knock yourselves out on that end.  And as for the demon possessed rapist amongst us, I don't think that's so cool with me unfortunately.  As I said before, I'd rather we all stay human, but if we happen to get possessed by demons from the book there are a few minor rules I'd like to set into place regarding that but otherwise I say go nuts lol.

I'm not sure if I'm going to do a guy or not now since we have another potential guy among us now, so I am kind of glad I hadn't made a character sheet yet lol.  I do plan to do so however, so no worries on that, just I might have to take the place of our villain is all.  We'll see how that plays out though.  ;D  If someone wants to help me get this going as my Co-GM however the spot of villain or villainess could easily be yours at the small cost of your immortal soul of course.   >:) >:) >:) >:)  Just kidding, just kidding, but seriously, I will say that because this is BB inspired if not actually a kind of alternate universe of our own making revolving around Bible Black itself, I'd rather the villain be female but it's not required, that's just my personal preference since there's tons of guy baddies out there already.  There's just something darkly arousing about a girl with that same evil mind set lol.
