Putting this on a separate topic, in case it got lost in my collection of requests. I am really craving this.

I grew up watching westerns on TV. Always read the books about cowboys. I am looking for a man who is more at home on the range than he is in a city. Someone who knows horses and loves all animals, big or small.

The romance part of this is really my craving.

1. I can be a naive city girl who comes to spend time on a dude ranch. Outgoing and flirty, she knows how to ride, but has never been around cows or anything to do with ranching. She is thinking romance, but the cowboys who work the ranch are hired to take care of the guests, but not get involved.

If your character is a loner who is happier just riding the range or taking care of the stock and not really a people person, how will he cope with a vivacious lady who wants to ride more than horses?

2. MC can be a lonely country gal who gets a job at the ranch after her family moves to the city to retire. She knows stock, she loves to ride, but mistrusts men in general. She does not want to live in the city. But the only way she can maintain her country lifestyle is to work at someone else's ranch. Dude ranch or working cattle ranch, any time period from 1800 up to present day.

Your character is the ranch owner, or a hired hand, or just a drifter causing trouble. Cowboys can be trouble makers and still be lovable.
