Craving: Exalted 2th edition (searching for players and storyteller)

I just post here a craving for a group game for Exalted 2th edition. I purchased during christmas books for glories of most high, manual of power for dragon-bloods, infernals and lunars. I have seen some short lived games here which I had played as abyssal or solar. But I would prefer try out one the newer books to make and roleplay a char based one the newer books.

Not to say the game should focus exclusively to dragon-bloods, lunars or infernals as it can be multiple caste game but multiple castes also usually means around +6 or more players which can be quite intimidating. I myself run in my limit as GM to run games here on Elliquiy or Rpol so despite I would want to, I cannot at time being to be GM to such game.

So I call out for others who have same craving as me for exalted game and for GM?

 I've got some experience with Exalted and have run games on other sites. Wouldn't be interested in running on here, not yet anyway :P

And some term corrections, it's 2nd edition and the one running Exalted is the ST (storyteller), not GM :P

Well, off the top of my head, the Yozi don't necessarily get all of the infernals back easily (first circle versus Solar tier Exalt, even with only a few charm, not good for the demon) but the intimacy does help a bit. There's no mandatory being posessed/fucked by the Yozi's souls (depending on how generous you're being with that passage), Lilun will be something wholly different.

Those are the major ones, but I can go and look for more if you want. Granted at least one would be yozi characterization.

Ok, I am fine with that Lilun is going something different. Also I did read bit about infernals but not thorough fashion. Do you mean edit bit the urges and the themes what some charms present? Also what I understand I am okay being thoroughly fucked up by Yozis; meaning soul, mind and body all changed to their ideals but keep own self otherwise intact. Meaning even if I would rebel I would serve Yozi cause indirectly through urges or by themes some my charms follow.

Or if I am walking wrong paths here then clarify; as I have interest to play infernal likely to try them out.

 I would suggest a new person to exalted playing a solar or dragon-blood. Those are the simplest to start off as and the simplest to learn. The others have different rules and abilities and take a bit more time to get used to.

I'm being a bit literal with the fucking bit. A less charitable reading of one of the lines in the first chapter of infernals has every infernal get gang raped by a number of the Yozis souls (some of whom might not even have a human-ish form.) The Urge stays, the charms stay. If you decide to go to Malfeas and be part of the Yozi's Reclaimation, well you'll certainly be subject to some social-fu, but not to the level of what the book says.

(Also, the Exaltation is what we'd think of a morally uncaring. All an Infernal Exaltation wants is that you had a great moment of "You done fucked up, son" and the potential to do something great with power if given it. Not to say that it's infallible, but just really good.)

EDIT: Oh, and now that I remember, the Torments need some work, to different degrees.

Aaahaa, that part. Well fine if we ignore gang rape part entirely (not my cup of tea either). I will think some good reason why my char screwed up and got tempted for the power to use it.

I don't recall reading that, and I just skimmed through again and didn't find a reference to that..... There's that little line in there about how the first circle demon gains the infernal shard, but nothing beyond that. Same with an infernal being required to go back to Malfeas- the Yozi can tell them to come back all they want (that's what Torment and Unwoven Coadjutors are for), but the infernals still have free will (and the potential to dick over the Yozi, see exhibit Devil-Tiger).

Really, it doesn't have to be (at least to us the observers) such a good reason. It could just be not staying around to fight a last, unwinnable fight. Choosing to slink away in the night, rather than face certain death. It could be leaving your watch a minute early to get a drink, or share a warm bed with somebody (or somebodies).

It just needs to be enough that when the demon comes along, saying that they know how such things feel, how the world is corrupt, and how they will give you power to set things right, in return for serving, that you say yes. At least initially. You can always regret it, although how much you can take things back is debatable.


(EDIT: ShadowFox, look around the stuff for the Thing Infernal, which is another bad idea. Also, the Yozi can't control Torment, despite what the book says, because it would be a stupid idea. And the Coadjutor doesn't and can't commune with the Yozi.)

Also when they arrive Malfeas they face the humanized form of the Yozi who has claim on his soul and sees other yozi if the shard or demon came from different yozi. Also have kind of tour to meet all the splintered parts of the yozi master/mistress.

So far any mention bad stuff is related only to infernal exaltation. So far GM has no problem with solars, abyssals, lunars and so forth (what I understand).

Yes, Lillun as she is is a bad idea. There's a re-fluff I can send you that has been met with a lot of approval from various people some forums. The Thing Infernal is merely a mandatory staff meeting for the Infernals lasting Calibration (5 days, not much of an issue), nothing too problematic.

It's less the Thing Infernal, and more how it's presented. Which is a lot of the problem with the first parts of the book, and a consequence of not having the two teams communicate during the writing process. And my favored version of Lillun is that she is now equal parts persons and place.

And yeah, if people want to do a trippy Raksha based game, I can run that. Although, I'll trip a bit over the erratted and somewhat better charmset for a little bit, if only from unfamiliarity.

  I usualy prefer not to play villains, I do enough of that when I GM. 

  But I'm pretty much down with anything for a chance to play exalted.  If the GM want's to run an infernals game, well, it would be a good learning process.  More so with Fair Folk.

I'd be interested in joining this if it was kept to Dragon Blood, Lunar, Solar or Sidereal.  Not a fan of Abyssal or Infernals.  Haven't played Exalted in over a year, though I do have all the 2nd edition core books and quite a few of the setting books, along with things like the B&W Treatise and Scroll of the Monk.  Most of my Exalted experience came with 1st edition.  That being said, I completely stink at social-fu.

    Ok, so far, three things I've seen looking over the thread.

    In order of how much I could rant on them if anyone cared to hear, they are
    • 1) Note that being an Infernal or Abyssal doesn't mean at any point that you have to be evil, or a villian, at least not any more than being any other kind of Exalt means that. The short form is that Infernals chapter 1 done screwed up, and that Abyssals didn't do too great either. Although Abyssals got out of editing much worse off than Infernals.

    • 2)I'm willing to do a mechanics tutorial, as well as also pontificate a bit about strange or obscure setting bits. I have in my bookmarks a link to a thread where one guy goes and mocks up grammar for some of the languages in Exalted. (And always hope that one day I'll come back and see more)

    • 3) If anyone wants to play an Exalt below the weight class of what most are (or suddenly I have, like, one Solar, two Lunars, a Sid, and three Dragon Bloods) I'll at least make some kind of attempt to make sure that the lower tier guys aren't totally blown out of the water.

If this does turn into a mixed Exalt game.  What's the likely hood of PvP?

Is it too much to ask that even if we ended up with 1 Solar, 2 Lunars, a Sid and 3 Dragon-Blood that we somehow manage that we're, at the very least, working for the same goal?

I don't want to limit anything but, in my opinion, it'd be nice if we were all one group.  Not to say the Sid wouldn't be manipulating things, and the DBs wouldn't be scheming to murder the cursed Anathema. 

Just my two cents.

I don't think there should be innate PvP involved. And I'd hope to avoid having a Peleps Deled and a Lyta in the same group, even in a less serious game.

But yeah, nothing says that the Terrestrial might not be plotting to use the Anathema for his/her own gain, or they might not have been friends/lovers/siblings/et al before, and therefore don't want to kill the other Exalt, hoping that Immaculate Dogma is wrong/not really believing that much in it.

It can be done, I say this much.

And for houserules, yes, I'm going to standardize costs. (If you want to use the non-solar costs, well, I have to ask why?) And given the forum format, I may go to BP, just try it out. (Funnily enough, I've never actually seen that one, instead going the other way.)

Edit: Once I hear more what people are thinking of being, I'll put up more pertinant house rules. For now, should I go and give you the elevator version of the plot?

Ok, so two ideas here, lemme present them both to the interested.

First one, we have the city of Denan-Grel, the Denansdor-Gate as most of the world calls it, or Three Waters as the locals do. Located at the end of one of the branches of the Yellow River, and additionally fed by the Mound River to the west, and the Flying River to the south-east, it's not a very important place, except to the occasional Scavenger Lord trying to get into the lost city of Denansdor or a sorcerer or artificer who wishes to use the Flying Rivers water in some kind of experiment.

Unfortunately, a plague of metal men and animals have been attacking the city, and while Denansdor is the most likely place for them to have come from, what kind of being could take the city long enough to make even one of these marvelous things? And if it can be wrested from whoever has the place, what wonders will you make. (Note for those that know about the place, there will be some changes. Major obstacles will be the curse on the city and the defenses.)


Second, Three Tombs Court is a small place hidden in the Black Crag Mountains for better or worse. While the Three Tombs keep the winter folk away, the harsh terrain means that even nearby Whitewall can be months away when it snows heavy and often. Could you fly as a bird, then Whitewall is only a journey of several leisurely weeks, or a few hard days of travel.

But this doesn't matter as the place, tombs and all, are surrounded by the armies of a mighty demon. It negotiates little, and keeps a loose siege going, seeking to starve Three Tombs Court into submission, that it better serves as a servile city-state to the pleasures and glory of Nitinat. (For this one the group has probably Exalted during the siege. The tombs themselves speak of how in the past the demon was defeated by a blade of enchanted water and blue jade, which if brought back in time would utterly decimate the demon and its armies. Or, Three Tombs Court could be given up as lost, and attemtps to sneak people out could be made. It would give the demon the treasures of the tombs, but give much more time to find the weapon, or else gain might enough to defeat the demon without.)

Of the two scenarios, I think I like the second a bit better.   Though they both sound appealing.

Should they still be interested, I think there was one pair of people that wanted to do Solar-Lunar, but I've not heard from anyone, at least not definitively. Wait, no, ShadowFox said Zenith.

(Incidentally, that would make six people, which is about where I tend to draw the line)

If this were to be a single Exalt type group, it would be the first time I've had that happen. Although if anyone wants to be a god blood, knock yourself out. (I'm only mostly joking about that.)

I think the only thing that's been officially claimed was a Zenith.  With a unknonw caste Solar and Lunar pair in the wings and perhaps Muse just claimed a Dawn caste (not completely sure about that).

AribethAmkiir, a Golden Blue Sid is fine by me. Only things I can think of off hand are that you might want to look into a re-write of the charmset (or I can show you one, your option) beacuse the published one suffers badly from lazy copy-pasting.

I may involve Greater Astrology at the start of the game, or shortly after (it would only affect the Greater Sign of Serenity for you, at least to start), and a mod to astrology.

Unless you want to use a different one, I'll go and show my shitty little houserule for Astology. (Warning, never been actively tested before, may change it if you use it and it proves to be too weak.)

1)You can perform astrology for any sign that you have dots in the corresponding ability, and substitute your ability rating for College rating.
2)The colleges instead offer bonuses for astrology. Dots 1-3 give you one free success to assign to any part of an Astrology roll. Dot 4 gives one success and lets you trade successes to reduce gained Paradox. Dot 5 gives you a success, and lets you lay down blessings that require less than the five successes without a ritual, just spend a WP point.

And if we seem mostly agreed on the second plot, then I'll start taking peoples ideas. You don't have to have Exalted while in the place, it's just recommended for easy group cohesion.

That looks much easier than what I recall for Astrology rolls.

Which charm sets did you think need reworking?  It's been quite a while since I visited anything Exalted so I'll more than likely have to familiarize myself with the Charms all over again.

What is the Inkmonkies stuff, and is it in the Exalted wiki or where can I find it?

Sidereal charmset definitely needs some reworking, and Lunars need some work, but it's not as bad as the Sid charmset, or the old base DB charmset.

I can work in a renegade Abyssal (it is, in fact, easiest to be a renegade, as even the Deathlords wouldn't quite want to get you while you're in there. Let you die and get the exaltation back, or just wait for you to escape and then try and snatch you up).

For the sanity of our crafters, perhaps merge the craft abilities? I never got why they were split in the fitst place. You dont have a melee for every type of close combat weapon, do you?

The major industries of Three Tombs Court are mining, exploring the tombs for profit, and very, very rarely, hosting large scale Scavenger Lord attempts to break into the tombs and get more stuff.

The Bright Day Tomb is the most explored, because it was made to serve in equal parts as a tomb and a museum. Every room can be gotten into and looked at. The treasures in the rooms, though, are usually locked up, and the guardians of the place are fierce and frightening things made of essence and glass.

The Shifting Tomb is probably the least explored. But seeing as the layout changes randomly, it might be that all the rooms have been seen, but nobody can confirm it. The tomb seems to give more detail about the tragic lives of the three that are buried in each tomb, but a wholly coherent narrative has yet to emerge.

The Still Tomb is the other contender for least explored of the three. Many of the rooms feature deadly traps, some strong enough to slay or turn away the Dragon Blooded. And when the Winter Folk come too close, it is the Still Tomb that turns bolts of lightning or gales of iron rain against them.

They are all made of the same clay, only painted golden, silver, or purple, respectively.


EDIT: Shadow, go ahead and post them. My usual houserule for when nobody's very focused on Crafting is that each craft after the first gets a cost discount of half, cumulative, round in your favor.

Should we survive the siege of Three Tombs Court, what's the chances of running into the Bull of the North or other canon Exalted?  Am I getting way too far ahead of myself?

Depending on how you survive it, you might meet the Bull. More likely if you take the people and run, a bit less if you manage to get the sword and kill the demon. But in that case, you have a battlefield shaping weapon that could be used by any fool to carve out a small empire.

Hmmm, I am thinking to play infernal exalt who has not yet picked up and taken to Malfeas yet. If there is demon who is holding the siege then the said demon must have gone rogue or displeased it's master somereason for allowing infernal exalt fight against demon's minions. Or there is a much further cunning ploy involved.

Either way I was thinking go to either general type of Slayer or bit military skilled Fiend (either way charismatic leader and tactician). Or Malefactor. If no one takes sorcerer type char then I could go take malefactor example.

Ok, first, I may go and change up how Flaws work, but that depends on if people abuse them. Might do it Weapons of the Gods style (IE, it screws things up for you or the group, and everyone gets an extra BP) Also, remember to put your limits or character's on/offs for the final sheets.



Third, Aribeth there is a seedy underbelly, but it mostly tends to focus on outsiders, or selling home made drugs. In the first case, well, sometimes the guides aren't entirely honest and lead outsiders into deathtraps that will kill them but leave their stuff for later removal. The Shining Tomb is a favorite for this trick.


There is no second, but there is a great big EDIT. The armors in the core book, if they have no other powers attached to them, are bought at half cost, round up. Giving the armor powers can raise the cost.

Here's the houserules that I usually use. Not included is the suggested use of bp rather than xp. These might be familiar to some who play on other forums :p

- Solars, Abyssals, Sidereals, and Dragon-Blooded gain 5 excellencies to be used in favored and/or aspect/caste abilities, one free excellency per ability.
- Infernals gain the first excellency of either their favored or caste Yozi for free, along with all future excellencies (this means they don't have to repurchase it everytime they increase in essence).
- Alchemicals gain 2 attribute augmentations and 2 charm slots dedicated to those augmentations for favored/caste attributes. Lunars similarly gain 2 attribute excellencies in favored and caste attributes.
- Ox-Body and it's mirrors count double for the amount of health levels you gain.
- You gain an extra -1 health level for each point of essence you have.
- Craft is one ability, with each area of craft only requiring a single dot. Special areas of craft (magitech, genesis, etc) count as specialties and must be purchased as so. The limit of specialties does not apply to craft for this purpose.

The basic idea is to make it so an ordinary mortal can't kill a starting exalt so easily. I removed my reduced character generation essence cost rule because it's redundant in a no xp game.

According errata we got 18 BP. Anyways good call on excelency with infernals. It's plain pain to pay for 2 charm slots (or 3) in char creation to take excelency and forced purchase egual number of excelency varities (there is 5 of them) each time I increase my essence (not mention it coming for free so it leaves 10 charms for something else or if desire take second excelency or other excelency enchanced charms).

Aye, use the link to get errata for free. It fixes the broken dawn/dusk/slayer anima powers specifically.

Anyways, making a slayer who has motivation to become a 'hero' but note it is 'hero' by infernal standards.

Background

Belar was born to Three Tombs Court to small family, his father was retired scavenger lord, mother a scholar who taught in local school and he had younger sister Celein who was local beauty with no talent at anything (if not count sneak her finger around any other man's heart if not count Belar himself). Belar learned basic combat skills from his father and learned basic lore and occult and speak old realm from his mother but he was not anyway nearly scholar alike. He favored more stride in wilderness hunting and having general fun in seducing local girls with his good looks and charms. However hearing several tales of ancient heroes and hearing rewards what they gained being one; made him both envy and desire to be one such legendary hero. Naturally all mentionable heroes were dragon-bloods, if not count terror tales of the anathema altough some tales anathema had redeeming qualities.

Belar was often weaving minor bragging tales from his wilderness trips to impress girls but most saw through his tales but none the less most were entertained by his bold tales of grandeur.  Then things changed when demon started his siege, the demon made initial assaults and raids to the Three Tombs Court, his home resided near one the tombs; at the Bright Day Tomb which was also place his father worked as tour guide and as historian of the sealed artifacts. The minions of the demon general assaulted their homes and he was holding a ancestral but functional well made sword to guard his family alongside with his father. His father charged but died instantly by the brutal bandits which surpassed father's skills!

Now, as single man between mother and sister who were locked inside the house along with their belongings....he ran, he ran in dread from the sight of his father being brutally murdered! Father who had taught him how use sword, heard heroic inspiring tales from mother all indicated he should had embraced glorious dead than defeat! But no; he became scared, scared of actually dying from doing heroics when he had not even made single deed worth of ballad! He did not turn to look what happened to his sister or mother by the raiders but he heard their screams all way to the wilderness, place which was kind of second home for him and where he hid best as he could and where he would bitterly cry from being coward and self-despise himself.

Belar was not aware for fact that the demon served Nitinat, a third circle demon which was not part of the Ebon Dragon sparked Reclamation union who have given birth to infernal exalts. This case Adorjan who's domain was all northern related lands had noticed the demon and the siege which it had started. Adorjan considered as offense to her rulership that a upstart strong demon like Nitinat was doing what she wanted to do but without her permission nor blessing! Not to mention her gain no profit from it! So she send one her teodozjia's to investigate the area and in said moment teodozjia witnessed the event of Belar's retreat from the raiders and the bitter tears for failing his own dreams and desires being a hero.

The malfean jade lion reported the event through hive mind to Adorjan who became intrigued by this potential mortal and finding solution to her problem also same go, however mortal was not fitting as one her scourges both by desires and inspirations. So she turned recommend said mortal for Malfeas himself and then suggest Cecelynia's own urge to mortal the empower his desires. The trio agreed that Nitinat needs to be reminded from messing around with the original five yozis of Reclamation and give perhaps incentive sales pitch upon witnessing one their chosen in action to join the cause. But they would need refrain from plucking the mortal until matter is solved regarding the siege, as they need show the infernal exalt in most raw potential as possible to impress and frigthen Nitinat.

So Malfeas decided send one his neomahs to the task, take the infernal exaltation from Lilith but done by Cecelynia by Malfeas behalf to add her influence. Then Adorjan granted neomah one her teodozjia's both as mount and bodyguard for her to speed the travels. So the process to convert Belar to infernal exaltation began. He was in woods for week, ashamed from his failures and living by the land as he had no desire nor face to return the Three Tombs to face looks on others who may had witnessed his cowardice, which is more so huge consider all bragging tales of his past deeds, even if they were lies. Then he met neomah, who beared beautiful look of innocent maiden who singed while bathing while terrifying guardian watched over her safety?! Belar was easily seduced to share the bath (and do lustful acts) despite his fears for being caught or rend by the jade lion.

The neomah managed ease Belar to talk about himself, his desires and tales but also reveal how painful he feels from his failure to live up to the ideal. This point neomah revealed her true form and her true alliance, as she had purposefully deceived Belar think he was talking with some minor goddess who had jade lion bodyguard. She told about offer what Malfeas himself is offering, asking just pledge of loyalty to yozi cause, cause to true rulers of the world, to serve them and help them reclaim world which belonged to them. Belar hesitated only a moment before he accepted, as he thinked now that he exalts he becomes perhaps finally the hero what he so much desired.

With smirk neomah instantly grabbed him to her embrace which suddenly warped and engulfed him inside a smooth lavender colored smooth egg which then rested on bottom of the pond where neomah had bathed. Teodozjia who escorted her informed Adorjan and so Malfeas of the process and so forth the teodozjian was ordered return.....but something weird occurred as teodozjian, it refused?! A something witnessing Belar and his ideals and upon accepting infernal transformation had echoed change in the malfean lion itself? A in the spot the lion transformed from demon to devil-beast of unique design and form; fitting purpose as fiercely loyal battlemount! It was still loyal to yozis, but it suffered fraction as it's mind snapped from hive mind, becoming more strenuous hold the communion and become and so more unique entity. Former teodozjian guarded the egg and also a blade which was reserved for Belar; Crownshatter, a vitriolic orihalcum blade which was used long time ago by akuma who slew a solar king to usurp his throne in First Age and succeed rule until end of First Age without being discovered. A blade of ambitious usurper.

After five days Belar broke loose from the egg, fragments spread at under the pond and soon vaporize and taint the water to become husky perfume which bathed reborn Belar to it's embrace. He swimmed to the surface and his inhaling breath he drawed in the scent which became permanent part of his new form and also render him constant state of semi-arousal and sensuality. He swims on the shore, his new body sculpted into perfect mixture of handsome and beauty, in his body only hair exchisted in his head; no pubic hair nor skin hair. His skin smoother than finest silks. His hair is handsome lustrous dark lavender colored mane. His eyes are pitch black and pupiless, only occasion his eyes will flare in color of Ligrid from malfeas when he uses one his granted powers and his skin was bronze in color. Besides these changes his scent carries a seductive husky scent which is pleasant and seductive to either gender, unrivaled by even perfumes created in Yu-Shan. He is epitome in masculine beauty and perfection but with bulging muscles and slim body build suited for a warrior. Also his member carries echo of the flesh carving neomah; able adapt and change slightly shape and texture to please any woman to wild euphoria in pleasure, either willingly or unwillingly depending circumstances.

Belar has perfect communion with neomah who knew her existence ended and was born to be part of Belar and she completely submitted to his whims, much for his desired joy as she offers guidance and advice to him. Former teodozjia likewise submitted to his rulership and those two formed a bond instantly upon first meeting. Former teodozjia submitted itself become Belar's mount and so Belar renamed the demon who had broke off little from hive mind to become more unique as; Gar'zhural. Gar'zhural and Belar have eversince then rided together in battle lay waste to demon's soldiers and slaying them left and right while they strike against his hardened body while he deflects deftly with Crownbreaker which breaks flesh and bone in each wide ligrid burning arch from his blade.

You mean Bloodless Murk Evasion charm? Well, did not know that and it indeed looks better than 'perfect' parry which functions only in settlements :P. Perhaps swap away the essence checking eyes and witness of darkness for the escape helping charm and then evasion charm. But that charm has essence 3 reguirement and I have only essence 2.

Black clouds can rain down but can't kill the sun.  Sometimes an old saying can just stick with you, no matter how many years go by, even if the people who used to say it for you are long since dead.  Maybe someone just has to keep talking, if only to stop the encroaching silence.  Maybe it just never really stops.

A lifetime ago, Standing Orchid used to play in the fields, had a family who cared about her and did her part to make sure the village was safe and peaceful.  That doesn't matter, of course, because Standing Orchid is dead, but sometimes it's hard to convince yourself that such things should really matter.

Her simple, easy life was quickly ruined by an arrow.  Two feet of wood, a sharp rock on one end and feathers on the other end of the useless stick, shot by a bandit who wanted prisoners while she was on guard duty.  When the voice came, soft and sweet, asking her if she wanted to destroy the bandits who had done this to her, of course she did.

It would be easy to say that she'd been tricked, or duped, or that she simply hadn't thought about the offer when she agreed.  Deep down, though, she knew that she'd understood; she just hadn't cared.

Revenge was hers as the sheer power overwhelmed her.  Bodies cracked and buckled like overripe fruit.  Blood stained the area so thoroughly that her own family didn't recognize her, and she didn't have the heart to try to explain.  A chorus of voices opened up in her mind, ancient and beyond her understanding, but goading her on to slay and destroy in their name.

Once it was time to honor her agreement and to go meet her new destiny, however, she found that she simply couldn't.  This amused the Deathlord, with no attempt yet made to try and reclaim her.  She didn't really know why until she learned about Resonance the hard way: an entire shadowland festered overnight, bursting forth from the earth and destroying the small town where she'd been staying.  Somewhere out there, her Deathlord is laughing, she realizes, waiting for her to give up.  Gifts have been planted that she knows shouldn't have been there waiting for her, a reminder that all she needs to do is accept her fate.  Maybe her new owner realizes how difficult it is simply to surrender, and patiently awaits when she would give herself over entirely, without objection.

About a week ago, a minor rockslide caused the Abyssal Exalt to fall down the mountains, enshrouded in soulsteel armor and with a gigantic great goremaul upon her back.  Three Tombs Court was busy at the time with an assault by demons, and although some of the humans attempted to turn their attention on her, she had little trouble fending them off.  Her weapon came free, but even as she deflected the attacks of the townsfolk, her focus and enmity were reserved solely for the demons.  Her efforts and destructive force easily turned the tide, after which she slung the soulsteel weapon back over her back and found herself a private corner.

She has yet to speak to anyone, but she stays near the gate, watching and waiting.  A minor reputation has begun to spread about this strange wanderer, and a few have taken to leaving her scraps of food while otherwise leaving her be.  Most of those who have seen her fight, especially those who attempted to attack her, just want to make sure she's placated without having to do something so brave and stupid as actually attempting conversation.

Ooooh, another thing I forgot Zaer.

Teozodjia hate priests. To be specific, they hate zeniths. They hate them so much that the two being within close proximity causes explosions as the hatred between the two becomes materialized.

No, really, if a Teo and a Zenith are near each other, they roll off and the loser takes lethal damage from the backlash.

I know, that's why when it was suggested there are two zeniths I cued my demonic familiar saying hi to them :P. Most likely that reason I need keep my familair good distance away from our zeniths in the group or else there will be bloodshed. I think as my familiar the theodozjia obeys not to stalk and kill them but if they happen intrude upon his territory or give in sligthest reason.....theodozjia no doubt would go violent.

Anyways I wanted theodozjia primarily because I wanted feline demon mount, if some other first circle demon would fit to this description and function I am all ears. Also I would like exact stats of theodozjia as he gets some bonuses; to stats and two extra charms altough I have no idea what to give my familiar.

While I do those, I'm going to comment on some things and then probably make an ooc to put the sheets, backgrounds, and such in.

Some of the houserules that Shadow put in the thread I was going to flip them around and drop the s do as bonuses.

The excellencies, I was just going to give out some bonus charms once I had all the sheets in. But that one works about as well. We have no alchemicals, so ignore that. Instead of the Stamina -1s and doubling the Ox-Bodies, I normally go with (unmodified Stamina) in Ox Bodies that don't count against the limit, so you can buy extra ones. And if we have anyone that's going to go heavily into Craft, we'll make it one ability.

Oh, and notably, once a demon gets Co-adjutated, it ceases to be as more than a voice in the Infernal's head. So while a Teozodjia would really whisper and talk to its infernal to not trust and kill the Zenith, it can't do anything. That would lie deeply in the territory of custom, heretical charms for Infernals. That's niether here nor there but as a familiar, there's probably a few dozen demons that aren't really statted that could serve. Like, I dunno monsterous, pari-demonic Simhata or something.

(Oh, and if everyone could send me a list of limits or on/offs for the characters I'd like that.)

I have no clue what rules we're using for character creation as I'm trying to sift through everything that's been presented and suggested, it appears to be a garbled mess.

Also, since our main enemy for the story is going to be a bunch of demons, I was planning on taking as many Holy charms as I could rationalize.  Holy charms also have penalties against Infernals and Abyssals, as far as I know, and I thought we'd talked about not doing PvP at the beginning of this.

I could just use some clarification.  Thank you.

Ok, so here it is.

Take the Errata character gen. Double the specialties you get. Get a free number of Ox-Bodies equal to your Stamina. You can still buy more. Take five free Excellencies. Craft will be one ability and you buy other crafts as specialties.

And yes, Holy charms do tend to work on Infernals and Abyssals. They're also counted as Creatures of Darkness. Don't use them against your allies. (Unless they're trying to kill you.)


Edit: And yet again, I forget that the armors in the core are half price, round up. Geeze, next I'm going to forget something like starting off with Essence 2.

Nope. Offhand, I can think of like, three that do that. Most holy charms don't have AoE.

Heck, that one thing people are talking about is a property of a demon, not of Zeniths or their anima.

I think that was 1e. Now it's just holy damage, plus you add your essence to minimum damage dealt.

I think I'll be grabbing the anima upgrade charm from Glories though.

Also note a neomah is the demon which Belar merged with, theodozjia is his demonic familiar which is actual physical real first circle demon and I choose theodozjia as my demonic familiar to serve as my mount.

Also what comes to Zenith and holy stuff; only way for you to do AoE dmg unintentionally is to use one presence charm which turns any social attack holy and can be used with any social action. This case if you use it and do perform check; it means even allies are affected.

But otherwise none zeniths powers targets in AoE wise if they do not somehow do AoE attack while affected by their anima power. Like do martia art maneuver which is considered area effect or something. If otherwise their anima banner is active, it brings no harm to creatures of darkness who have allied with Zenith.

Indeed, look glories of most high for charm which upragdes your anima powers. Abyssals and solars get it but infernals do not. Anyways I will edit my char sheet accordingly,

Also question; do infernals get five free excelency or most likely just get caste related excelency for free? Overall they have 5 base excelencies total anyway.

Well, mind you, that charm doesn't make the social attack do damage. Just it cut MDVs and be UMI. You get all picks of one of Caste or Favored Yozi for free at char gen.

Only AOE one I can think of is a perform charm, Demon Wracking Glory.  :) 

Then of course there's a solar circle spell of infinite coolness.  :)

Actually, now that I think about it more, I think that the total is 6 (printed) that people have somewhat reasonable access to, and a few more if we go really out there.  The sorcery that you mentioned, an Archery charm, a Thrown Charm, a Sail charm, and that performance charm.
