Heh, I'll agree with you there. Of my five favorite fighters three of them are in Akatsuki (Kakuzu, Kisame, and Nagato) then Killer Bee and Kyuubi possessed Naruto.

Yeah. They just are such interesting characters and then they got crazy powers. Its kind of bad I feel more compassion for the villains more then the heroes. I really liked Kaguya a lot. His powers aren't normally my taste, but the way he used it and just over-all his personality and all I just enjoyed. Its kind of funny that Gaara vs Kaguya fight I cheered for Kaguya more just for the sake he was against a foe with a strong advantage against him. :)

... *cough* anyways... I guess I suddenly shifted it to being off topic. *Whistles and returns to being silent*

Ramael

Hello again, Yorubi!

Well being as we're all starting off as chunin inside of Konoha, if you wanted to take the path to villain-hood, you'd have to start there (Akatsuki did, after all, start out life as good, honourable village ninja).

Ah, you aren't going for the 'villains' arch type deal? Also, they all didn't start in Konoha (I'm sure you know but meh. ^^;; ) or were you planning to have only one ninja village? Either way I'm not quite sure. It was just an idea if you needed help for some enemies they might have to fight and if you needed a roll to fit those needs I could of been a gap filler with a likely temporary character. In terms of actually joining full force, not sure. Like I said, I'm pretty bad when it comes to liking to be creative with my character and all. That and a villain to me needs some ridiculous bloodline Technic usually to stick out, granted there are some that don't use one that are pretty crazy still. :) Really though, many Akutsuki didn't start to good or honorable. They did have some pretty noticeable flaws to start, that just grew into something even worst with some of the members. XD

Sorry went on a tangent again. Anyways I'm not really sure about the whole 'turning into a villain' deal. Maybe... but meh... I think what really attracted me to the villains really was their powers and their actual strength over-all, mixed with their rather awesome personalities. Like I said I'll keep peeking around and all, but in terms of joining the restrictions on bloodlines and all makes me less eager to do so. Naruto is one of those things that without an interesting bloodline (usually unique) I just don't mind any big urge to take part with. Sure you can say the Byakugan (spelled wrong I'm sure) or sherigan, but I just feel those are way to over-used for my liking to begin with. >.<

I'll keep watch though still not quite sure about joining >.< I mean people leaving to become missing noes might be cool though not sure how I'd do establishing myself into a villain that way, and being a good guy I'm not sure of either. Meh. >.<

Okay here is one of my character ideas, I have put a lot a thought into her and even then I know there is still room for improvement: Currently still fleshing and other character :3
__________________________________________________________

Name: Iniishi Seiyuri

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Appearance: Seiyuri stands considerably above average height at 5'10", readily one of the taller women in the village. Her form is lean, flexible, athletic and well-developed in all the right places to turn heads. As far as looks goes Seiyuri is easily one of the more attractive kunoichis in a exotic sort of way - sculpted features with a light olive skin tone complimenting long forest green hair that is styled back into a thick braid brushing the back of her thighs leaving chin length bangs to frame her face. Her two most noticeable features are her emerald serpentine eyes that permanently outlined with a dark eyeliner and a pair of fangs. She tends to favor clothing in green, black and tan like her current outfit consisting of a green bandeau styled crop top incorporated with a finely woven mesh undershirt that stops over her mid-drift with a sleeveless black hooded vest over it. Both her hands are adorned fingerless gloves with steel plating attached to the back of her hands with her village's symbol engrave upon it. Her arms were encased from wrist to bicep in dark green detached sleeves and over it is a pair of tan cloth elbow guards. Her pants are low waisted and black in color with another set of tanned guards encasing her knees, leggings tucked into the tops of her black ninja boots. The top of her pants are snug and cinched at the hips with a utility belt that has a few smaller pouches on either side and the normal hip pouch on her left back side and a her kunai holster tethered around her right thigh. The belt has a unique inbuilt hook where she can attach the sheaths of her dual weapons for easier carrying.

Main strength: Assassination and Medical skills

Bloodline/Clan: None. The Iniishis is one of the smaller clans in the Konoha. They possess no blood-gift to speak of but they are known for producing excellent shinobis amazing with chakra control and keen intelligence. Members of the Iniishi family generally have served the village in the capacities of a Medic Nins, Fuinjutsu/Ninjutsu specialists or Infiltrators.

Biog: Seiyuri had been born and raised in Konoha, coming from a long line of ninja dating back to the founding of the village. Her family had always faithfully served in whatever capacity the village needed them in; healers, fighters and spies. Seiyuri had lost her father at a young age during the Great Ninja War. Her mother never fully recovered, choosing to bury herself her work at the hospital leaving Seiyuri in the care of her grandparents and uncle. Despite the early hardship of her young life Seiyuri had remained a happy caring little girl. That innocence was soon tragically ripped away during a rare family outing  to Tazuna Town for their New Years Celebration when she was abducted from the festivities. For months the ninjas of Konoha searched for her but were unable find any sign of her, eventually as time passed the case was pushed aside for others of higher priority. For five years Seiyuri had been missing, presumably dead when she suddenly appeared at the font gates of the village battered and injured clutching a sealed scroll. Once she well enough she was brought before the Hokage to answer his questions. Once behind closed doors it was quickly discovered that the young Iniishi girl had a eidetic memory when, with the assistance of Yamanaka Ichiro to validate her claims, she recounted the nightmare her life had become since her abduction.

In a nutshell Seiyuri had been one of many children taken over the years from all round the elemental nations and experimented on by Iniishi Tokoumaru. Years before Tokoumaru had been Seiyuri's grandfather, Vahn's, older half-brother and the heir of the clan at that time. He had been secretly obsessed with raising the status of their small clan to equal the Uchiha or the Hyuugas. To this end he began delving into forbidden research and jutsus to obtain his goals into seeking some way to create a unique ability that could rival the Byakugan and the Sharingan. It was unfortunate that he had been so close to a breakthrough when Vahn happened upon his secret lab in the woods outside Konoha while he was in the middle of experimenting on some hapless villager. Tokoumaru was immediately stripped of his rank and his name stricken from the family registry as he was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Hokage. He escaped years later, joining a criminal organization to financially back up his research. At first he experimented on adults but couldn't get the results he was looking for until one night he had caught a street urchin spying on him. He got further with that urchin then had with all his previous specimens so he ordered his underlings to go out and collect as many children as they could throughout the Elemental Nations.

With this new found direction Tokoumaru began making leaps and bounds into his research but could never find a suitable subject to make to the last stage of the testing. Until Seiyuri was brought to him. The irony was not lost Tokoumaru that a child from his former clan would be the answer to his dilemma. Seiyuri endured years of experiments, brutal training and constant molestation and rape when she was older at the hands of Tokoumaru's own grandson, Tadashi. Seiyuri's will to survive was one of the strongest the exiled Iniishi had ever seen in one so young. She continued to survive where others had already succumbed and allowed Tokoumaru to believe he had converted her to his cause. There was much she was forced to endue for the sake of surviving, persevered to learn everything she could as she bide her time. Finally an opportunity to escape presented itself when she was fourteen; Tadashi was off attending business for Tokoumaru taking some of the underlings with him, leaving behind a small token force to guard their hideout erroneously secure in thinking Seiyuri a tamed beast. With the help from the cook, who had been the only motherly figure she had known in this hellhole, they put a powerful sleeping drought into to food to knock he guards out while Seiyuri prepared Tokumaru's afternoon lunch lacing his tea with a potent cocktail arsenic Seiyuri had created just for this moment, even going to build an immunity to it so that she could safely taste test the tea before Tokoumaru and lull him into a false sense of security.

It worked Tokoumaru took the bait and once he laid there dead, Seiyuri a scroll and sealed his body in it to bring back to Konoha with her. In another sealing scroll she raided Tokoumaru's studdy and labs for any any and all files as she get her hands on before setting the place on fire. The only thing she hadn't counted on was the early return of some of the guards. Seiyuri and the cook manage to escaped and elude the guards for a time but they caught to them when they were getting close to Konoha's borders. Having no other options Seiyuri was forced to fight the guards, refusing to go back and be further exploited by Tadashi. The fight was harsh and Seiyuri had sustained some considerable injuries but she managed to kill a few of the guards before Cook sacrificed herself to save Seiyuri by by taking the fatal blow unto herself and giving Sei the opening she needed to dispatch the last guard. Unheeding of her own injuries Sei gave Hoshi a proper burial before continuing on to Konoha, explaining her condition when she collapsed outside the village gates.

Once Seiyuri finished her story it was decided that Seiyuri's citizenship would be reinstated and she be allowed to attend the Academy to catch herself up on anything that may have been overlooked in her initial training and to undergo evaluation by their chief Medic nin to gauge where her skills where as a medic. All this on the condition that she undergo regular routine session with Ichiro Yamanaka to try and lessen the psychological damage done to her. Once she was deemed stable enough she would allowed to become a ninja of the Leaf. After that Seiyuri was reunited with her family. At first things were understandably strained, particularly between her and her mother due to the changes she underwent from the experiments but eventually her mother got over her fears reached out to her daughter. Things are slow going particularly since her mother had adopted another daughter in her absence who showed remarkable talents as a medic but things are steadily getting better them and her grandparents while things are still estranged between her and the rest of her clan's and their mixed feelings.

As per the agreement Seiyuri underwent intensive psychological therapy with the Yamanakas bringing her back from being a borderline sociopath in defense of the years of trauma and abuse she sustained to something resembling 'normal' (for a ninja anyways) but there still remains deep scars on her psyche that only time and positive reinforcement could handle. Two years after returning to the village of her birth Seiyuri was finally allowed on a genin team and to take up a part-time position at the Hospital so that she could support herself when not on missions. She can be found almost exclusively around other shinobis, preferring their company over the majority of the civilians who seem to in their biased prejudiced view think they know everything by listening to cruel rumors and pointless gossip.

Personality: Quiet, somewhat emotionally distant, with a wicked and sarcastic sense of humor and can be coldly calculating. She is distrusting of others until they prove themselves and those so few that had have proven their unfailing friendship find her to be loyal and devoted friend. She is very loyal to the Leaf and is willing to lay her life down for it if the need ever arose.

Strengths:

- Eidetic Memory
- Trained in the Assassin's skill-set (steal, move silently, seduction)
- Above average Chakra control
- Above average Medical skills (particularly in dealing with, creating and neutralizing poisons)

Flaws:

- Highly stressed or emotional situations can bring out her sociopath personality accompanied by a cruel, sadist streak.
- Intense nightmares of her abuse can be triggered in the aftermath of the aforementioned flaw.
- Because of her high poison resistance Seiyuri is susceptible to addiction to chemical ninja tools such as the Soldier Pills

For someone not really that keen on joining this game, you're spending a lot of time hanging about in this thread criticising my choices!

I didn't say all the Akatsuki started off in Konoha, I said they all started out as village ninja.

If, as you say, you're bad at "liking being creative" with a character, then I guess this really isn't the RP for you. I'm encouraging creativity with all the players, and everyone who's posted IC seems to be doing well with it so far, their characters showing lots of potential for the future.

I appreciate your offer of playing some villains, but that's something I might ask one of my more established players to help me with in future - I'd much rather have someone in that role who knows the entire RP really well, and has experience being a newbie/chunin starting off, rather than a part-timer.

If you don't "like the idea of turning into a villain"...well...not much I can do about that, them's the rules, I don't really know what you want me to say to this? It's more realistic. The Akatsuki, Taka, Orochimaru all belonged to a village before they set off down their path to villain-hood, so I'm echoing that sentiment in this roleplay. It also gives more depth, as the characters grow up with each other, then if any of them decide to leave the village, the whole matter is a lot more personal, and the players will care about the issue more. Certainly more than a two-dimensional character whose sole purpose is just to be "evil", becoming part of a weak black/white morality when all the interesting stuff happens in glorious shades of grey.

As for the bloodlines issue...as you say, we've had that discussion before, I can't really fathom why you're bringing it up again. If you truly think the only way to make an interesting character, or to properly enjoy a Naruto RP, is to have someone with a fancy bloodline, then personally I think you've completely missed the point, but that's just my opinion.

If you do have any more questions, or indeed anything constructive to ask, please feel free to PM me.

Katra Nice character profile, some nicely developed strengths and flaws. When you're ready, post her up in the character thread, and make your entry post into the Hallowed Forest exam area thread, ready for your chunin exam with the other genin!

Yorubi

Ah didn't mean to make it sound like I was sorry. Bleh just was saying my own tastes. >.< I guess my wording is coming off if you took it that I was saying I don't like creativity. >.<

Needless to say, sorry you feel like I'm trying to bash your thread, I'm not attempting to at all. Its myself and my own usual stipulations that keep me interested and yet at the same time unsure. I'll PM you if I do come up with anything else to ask or what not.

peeks in

Hi. I happened across this, and it caught my interest. I'm a Naruto fan (as you can probably tell by my avatar), and I was wondering if you were still taking on people for this one? I was in a group Naruto RP awhile back, but it sort of fell apart (and I felt like the villain characters were way too overpowered... but that's another story :P).

My character for that RP was a member of the Uchiha clan (I love the Sharingan), and I was hoping that I might be able to resurrect that old profile. Though I have noticed a few others claiming interest in the Uchiha clan, and I don't think it would be all the realistic to have half of the ninja be from the same clan. So I'll go with a character either from a different clan or not from one of the main clans if that is preferred.

Ramael

Hi shade, as it stands we only have one player character playing an Uchiha, so you could still write one up :) Take a look over the thread and the character template and other character sheets, you may need to tweak your old profile accordingly.

Shade

Alright, I'll see if I can dig up this old profile first. Then I'll get started on the changes I need to make.

Alliance

Still have room?

What gender are you looking for?

Ramael

Gender's not an issue, but originality and dedication to character and personality over flashy jutsu are. Sound up your street?

Alliance

Absolutely.

What Jutsu would be allowed?

So anything elemental I assume. Do you have a medic yet?

edit: Would you be interested in a trap? Either a female who looks like a boy? Or a boy who looks like a girl?

Katra Alexion

That would be me, but another medic is always welcomed

Ramael

Moderate, realistic chunin level jutsu. Take a look over this thread.

A "trap"? Well I suppose as long as you're not trying to lure people out of their O/O's, then sure why not. And as Katra says, medics are always in demand.

No not trying to lure anyone. I'm not a creeper.

Peoples Ons and Offs page where they will tell you what they are in to and what they are not. It is usually in their signature.

May I ask for the character sheet? When I get my CDs from the store, I shall finish. I know first things first names.

Will be edited when I get back.

You might want to go to the beginning and read through a lot of the stuff Ramael has written, I know it seems like a lot but its not to much really.

He has some pretty detailed guidelines you will need to know to make the profile as well as the character sheet that you are looking for posted in there as well. ^_^

I didn't know that.

I don't want to rat out any members, however, Seaweed's character is 14 years old. We already checked together. I'm not here to cause any fights, 16 is a perfect number for me. My character looks 16 anyway.

Fightingfaithless

No I think what she means is that to take part in any sexual acts your character must be older than 16. I am sure that for now 15 would be fine as long as you do not take part in anything that could be considered sexual or inappropriate till your character is 'of age'. At least, that is what I think is correct I could be wrong.

Katra Alexion

Ramael

But then I guess I'd have to ask, if your character is under the approvable age, then why is he/she termed a "trap"? Sounds a bit sinister to me!

I'm sure you'd be fine taking part in the RP and not getting into any hanky panky, but it's just your choice of words that confuses me, the title alone seems to betray some intent.

Alliance

Well I was saying if someone fell in love with her and then found she was actually a him.

Like Haku from Naruto. Naruto thought Haku was cute, cuter than Sakura. And then Haku drops the bomb "btw I am a boy."
