Lockworth Industries

Evening,

Lockworth Industries is a well known collection of laboratories, each of which specialises in particular fields (So, for example- molecular biology, astrophysics, biochemistry, etc.) but despite this, those who work in it as scientists often know very little about their tasks.

I would like someone to be the male research partner of Dr. Vanessa Sykes. They are currently working on a biochemistry project, but its nature can be worked out between us. He can either be higher or lower ranking than Sykes, but the two are both skilled scientists and respected amongst their peers.

Vanessa's final research files- containing several important conclusions and their research findings, have gone missing. There is no explanation for this. It is due in the morning and their supervisors will not be happy; there is the possbility of serious repercussions if they are not found in time, or if the project is delayed due to administrative errors.

Please, feel free to manipulate the operation as you see fit- but bear in mind that much of the work is classified.

I hope to see you there, m'dear.

Yours, as always,

~Rescate.

Just curious, but what type of game is this to be?

Rescate

Pardon?

Do you mean, what's to occur, what's the storyline, what rating etc?

more or less.  Ie, is this like a blackmail game or basically asside from the women loosing her papers, whats the general theme/plot of the game.

I leave that up to my chosen partner.

It might be their choice that the partner/Matthews has the documents and wishes to blackmail or have Dr. Sykes fired. Or, alternatively, Sykes can learn that [your character] took the documents and realises what he intends to do with them, thus giving her a window to exploit that herself.

Your call. If you don't fancy it, don't worry.

I have to say that im intrigurd, but some what confused by the idea... I guess im trying mostly to figure out what you want to come out of it.. IT might be, and probably is that our styles just dont match at all... i usualy need to be hit over the head by a clue by four... but do find you interesting.

I'm debating opening this up to a group, now that I think about it. I'm looking for a lot of mystery, suspense and probably some quite vicious tension between scientists.

In all honesty, I'm not sure. I wanted to play it as it goes, maybe have them stumble on what they're really doing and have to avoid the authorities whilst trying to flee the centre.

I'd like input from partners as well, so please do make some suggestions. We're thinking Portal-esque dark, here.

Hehehe... I so tried to make a portal game go a wile ago.... were there would be only the one charecter plus gladys... the two players would play the girl and the voice in her head that she imagined coming from the companion cube...
