(NC-E) AD&D 2nd Edition Adventuring Harem

This is Athas, a dry, harsh world of barren tablelands and windswept deserts.  Sorcerer kings who once ravaged this world with defiler magic in genocidal wars now rule the few remaining city states with an iron fist.  They build their fortunes on the back of slaves.  They bleed in the arenas, labour in the mines, sweep the streets.  Just outside city states, carefully shepherded water and cultivated land provides precious food and textiles.  The red sun scores the backs of the slaves who labor there like the lash of their master. 

This, young woman, was to be your fate.  Wether you were born to the collar, captured in war, or sold by your father to pay his debts, your only hope to avoid a short, menial existence lay in your artistry, your beauty, and your power. 
Fortunatly, you were possessed of all three. 

In the city of Balic, the merchant house of Rees is a financial colossus eternally watched by jealous nobles and fanatical templar’s.  They know what they can’t prove, that House Rees deals with preserver mages outside of the city—and their rebel clique, the veiled alliance. 

Iriador Rees, grandson of the current head of the house, is strong, stern, and lecherous, but not without compassion or ideals.  He purchased you to be part of his harem, saving you from the fields for a life accompanying him on his adventures. 

Okay, so I know this is a long shot... 

This is a game in the Darksun setting of second edition dungeons and dragons featuring a warrior-merchant--me--adventuring with his harem of capable young women.  I'm not looking for any other sorts of character, but if you're interested in 2nd Edition D&D please contact me and I'll try to run a less niche game! 

Note:  Knowledge of 2nd Edition D&D is not needed, but willingness to learn the basics of how to play you characters and her abilities is.  I'd be happy to go so far as to handle dice for you, so that it feels like a structured freeform game, just so long as you're willing to figure out what your girl is capable of so you know to do it.  :) 

This game should feature adventure and action in a harsh desert world.  It will also involve some sexy harem scenes. On request, I'll put in non-con too. 

I'm looking for at least 2 more female characters.  So far, I have a Psionicist and a Thief.  Interesting concepts might include a Preserver Mage--perhaps a veiled alliance informant--and a gladiator saved from the arena.

I've had someone sign up for the gladiator.  Would a wizard (or multiclass wizard) interest you? 

Or a cleric who draws their power from one of the 4 elements?

I'm not familiar with 2nd Ed (but I am familiar with 3.5 and Pathfinder, so it shouldn't be a huge jump). If there are still any slots available I'm pretty flexible about character types, I can have fun with any class :)

If you'll put up with me, I think I can come up with a wizard, although I'm not formiliar with the Dark Sun world. What source material are you allowing?

*Chuckles*  Oh, now you show up.  Chloe came to play a wizard, but there's always room for you, Blinkin'.  Especially if we can work together to get her done in a hurry.  :)  Might you be interested in a bard?  OR some sort of multiclass?  no one is multiclassing... 

(The only classes that really don't fit are Defiler, Druid, and Templar.)

For some reason, newer groups weren't appearing in the request thread for me. I stumbled across it last night when I was searching for my own interest check post.

As mentioned, I have no experience or have even looked at the Dark Sun setting. I can create an AD&D 2ed character, but I'll have to learn the world by osmosis.

I've never played a bard, but that could be fun... If you want to throw one together, We can tweak it to suit my style of play and run with it.

Unless you have a need for something in the harem, I'll stick with single class.

The darksun bards are kind of different.  Instead of magic, they make and use poisons.  ^_^

We could make you a dancing girl who uses two of these: 

Bard’s friend: Popularized by the bards of Balic, this weapon sports several blades and prongs. The blades are carved from obsidian, then strapped and mounted to a wooden grip. The prongs are made of sharpened wood, though fangs can be used to similar effect. The grip either has finger holes or leather straps for gripping. Bards normally coat the blades with poison. 

And maybe a blowgun or whip?

Hmmm. Ok, I can work with this. Lets go with the dancing girl and the weapons. I prefer a blowgun over a whip, but a whip is more versitile in application (I'm an Indiana Jones fan) So, the Bard's Friend and a whip.

I'm trying to track down some background on Darksun. Can you link me to the IC/OOC/Cast threads?
