Justice
by Moirae

Slipping far into oblivion,
the wolf's howl echoes a red moon,
the child's laughter falls deaf on listening ears,
the poor man's song is richly paid.

Stepping deep into shadowed sunlight,
the minx's word is taken highly and the priest is forgotten.
Fated lovers die in the arms of others,
lies are valued more than truths.

Sinking down into the black waters,
men are raised on pedestals and women carry the world.
The devil's games are taken lightly,
angels fall like mortals becoming God's prey.

Sliding into the folds of coldness,
appreciation is true again and merit comes alive.
No two play the same game.

Starting in the depths of justice,
courtship overrules envy and love is built on wings.
Twice more a child grows, stepping from the glass house.
make me forget
how to breathe

leave me with the
taste of your sin
they will lie about you, insult you, hurt you,
betray you, injure  you, set you aflame and
watch you burn. but they will not, shall not,
c a n n o t, destroy  you. because  you, like
R o m e, were built  on ashes, and you, like
a phoenix, know how to rise and resurrect.
