Brujah
Antediluvian‘s Name: Troile/Brujah

Sobriquet: Rabble, Ideologists, Individualists

History of the Brujah

Clan Brujah is largely composed of rebels, both with and without causes. Individualistic, outspoken and turbulent, Brujah hold social change near to their undead hearts, and the clan’s ranks contain some of the most violent of the Camarilla Kindred. Most other vampires perceive the Brujah as nothing more than punks and miscreants, but the truth of the matter is that genuine passion lies behind their polemics.

Brujah Kindred adopt pet passions and causes, which they support with volume and vitriol. Some Brujah follow charismatic members of their clan, while others prefer stances of blatant, defiant individualism. The clan claims a history rich with warrior-poets, and it has adapted this concept into the modern night; many Brujah are glad to have an opportunity to speak their minds, then indulge in a bit of destruction afterward to illustrate their points.

The Rabble’s espousal of change unites them, albeit tenuously, in their nightly crusades. Given a common enemy, Brujah with vastly differing ideals will join side by side to oppose their foe. After that foe is defeated, however, all bets are off and it’s back to business as usual. A common Brujah theme involves the foundation of a Kindred “Topia,” or the re-creation of a mythical one from nights past, though each Brujah vampire has a different idea of what said Utopia is.

Brujah rely on chaotic behaviour and upheaval to get their ideas across, and the Rabble are allowed a certain leeway that other clans do not have. In fact, Brujah are almost expected to be incoherent and bellicose; this stereotype works to the advantage of many eloquent, well-spoken members of the clan, who have no need to resort to violence when making their arguments.

Respected for their martially and readiness to rally under a banner, the Brujah are the physical strength of the Camarilla. Of late, however, many Rabble neonates see their role in the Camarilla as an institution unto itself, and more than a little unrest circulates among the clan. Other Kindred believe that the Brujah would be the first to leave the Camarilla. The Brujah believe it too…

Sect:

Rhetoric aside, most Brujah are in the Camarilla. Brujah Kindred also support the anarchs, arguably more so than the Camarilla. Indeed, the anarchs have more Brujah than members of all other clans combined.

Appearance:

Brujah vary widely in appearance, though many adopt radical styles and bold looks. If dismissive stereotypes are to be believed, the typical Brujah wears a biker jacket, tattered jeans, combat boots and a fearsome array of high-maintenance hair. In truth, few Brujah fit this image. Youthful, fashion-forward dress and noteworthy hairstyles are indeed found among many Brujah, but others favour tasteful wardrobes that encourage others to take them seriously. In the end, a Brujah’s appearance often suggests his attitudes: A skinhead bravo is likely an open rebel or anarchist, while a bespectacled pedant in a tweed suit is probably a reformationist or liberal. It should be noted, however, that given the Brujah penchant for nonconformity, any assumption of ideals based on appearance could be potentially dangerous. Brujah look how they want.

Haven:

Whereever they damn well please. Are you doing to tell them to leave?

More so than any other clan, the Brujah keep the company of other vampires, and one haven might house an entire brood. Brujah Kindred also keep multiple safe houses and boltholes, as their conflict-driven existences often make single locations inhospitable. Some Brujah neonates even carry on the urban practice of the home invasion. Dominating or killing a home’s occupants and taking over. Like other pursuits, however, home invasions rarely sustain the Rabble’s interest and the vampires often move on once they grow bored with the locale.

Background:

Brujah prefer those who espouse change in one form or another, and often recruit from college campuses, political groups or oppressed minorities. Young Brujah may hail from any background and often have a pet cause or issue of burning personal importance. All types of dissidents find their way into the ranks of the Brujah, from bomb-throwing biker anarchists to vociferous fascists to nihilistic radicals. This is, of course, part of the reason the clan is so disorganised - hatred between Brujah is often more bitter than hatred for those whom they mutually oppose.

Disciplines
Potence
Celerity
Presence

Weakness:

Fiery passion is at once the Brujah’s blessing and curse. Though they are quick to adopt a cause, they are equally as quick to fall to frenzy. Of course, the Brujah rabidly deny this penchant for excitement, and become quite hostile when the issue is raised.
Nosferatu
Antediluvian‘s Name: Absimiliard/Nosferat

Sobriquet: Sewer Rats, Nossies

History of the Nosferatu

Caine’s childer are called “The Damned,” and no vampires embody this more fully than the wretches of Clan Nosferatu. While other vampires still look human and may travel in mortal society. Nosferatu are twisted and deformed by the curse of vampirism. Other Kindred speak shudderingly of Caine placing a mark upon the entire clan for the monstrous deeds of its Antediluvian founder. As such, Nosferatu find themselves loathed and ostracised by the other Children of Caine, who consider them disgusting and interact with them only when they must.

Following the Embrace, Nosferatu childer suffer an agonising transformation as, over the subsequent weeks, they warp from humans into hideous monsters. The horror of the physical devolution often produces an accompanying psychological trauma. Unable to walk among the kine, Nosferatu must dwell in subterranean sewers and catacombs forever after.

Nosferatu often choose physically or emotionally twisted mortals for the Embrace, seeing in the curse of vampirism a possible means of redemption for the mortals. Amazingly, there seems to be some merit to this belief. Many Nosferatu are surprisingly level-headed and practical, avoiding the obsessions, fits and rages of their fairer breathren. Not that this makes the Sewer Rats particular pleasant to be around; indeed, some Nosferatu come to delight in the shock and horror their grotesque appearances inspire in others.

Nosferatu are survivors par excellence. Few creatures, mortal or vampire, know a city’s back alleys and dark corners like the Nosferatu do. Additionally, Nosferatu have mastered the crafts of sneaking and eavesdropping; they make a point of keeping up with current gossip and affairs, not merely for pleasure, but for survival. Information brokers without peer, they can command high prices for their knowledge. Using their Obfuscate Discipline, Nosferatu make a point of listening to others’ conversation from hiding, or sitting in on “secret” meetings. If a Kindred wishes to learn about the doings and denizens of the city, she would do well to consult the Nosferatu.

Finally, millennia of shared deformity and abuse have fostered strong bonds among the monsters. Nosferatu forego the squabbling and feuds ubiquitous to the other clans, preferring to work in unison. They treat each other with meticulous politeness and freely share information among themselves. To mess with one Nosferatu is to mess with them all - and that can get messy indeed…

Sect:

Surprisingly, the clan as a whole belongs to the Camairlla, despite obvious difficulties with upholding the Masquerade. Perhaps they value the safety of membership; perhaps they simply want other clans within observing distance. Still, a fair number of Nosferatu are in the Sabbat or simply consider themselves autarkis (of no sect).

Appearance:

No two Nosferatu look precisely alike, but all are hideous. Gaping fang-filled maws, discolorations, tumours, holes in places of noses, batlike ears, sloping bald heads, twisted spines, claws, wrinkled hides, pustulent sores and webbed fingers are just a few possible deformities possessed by Nosferatu. An existence in sewers and crypts tends to ensure that most Nosferatu smell about as good as the look.

Haven:

Their disfigurement forces most Nosferatu to take havens far from the eyes of mortals, in graveyards, abandoned warehouses and cellars. In large cities, entire broods of Nosferatu lair in sewers and subway systems. These “kingdom,” particularly the older ones, are often much more extensive than mortal or Kindred are aware - subterranean labyrinths stretching deep into the darkness and guarded by monstrous ghouls. Even princes treat warily with the Nosferatu kingdoms.

Background:

Nosferatu choose their progeny from society‘s castoffs: derelicts, the mentally ill and the hopelessly antisocial. Occasionally, a vindictive Nosferatu chooses to Embrace a beautiful, vain mortal, then watch gleefully as the Curse takes hold.

Disciplines

Weakness:

As mentioned, Nosferatu are absolutely loathsome to look at. Most social actions based on first impressions, except intimidation and the like, fail automatically.
Tremere
Antediluvian‘s Name: Tremere

Sobriquet: Warlocks, Usurpers, Unliving Mages, Blood Sorcerers

History of the Tremere

Whether dreaded, mistrusted, feared or reviled, the insular vampires of Clan Tremere are anything but ignored. Those who have heard of the clan’s doings are typically suspicious of the Tremere, and with good reason - for the Warlocks are aptly named. Through their own artifice, they have mastered a form of vampiric sorcery, complete with rituals and spells, that is as potent - if not more so - than any other power of the Blood. Paired with the clan’s rigid hierarchy and the smouldering ambition so common among Warlocks, this power is an unsettling thing indeed to those who know what the Tremere are capable of doing.

According to some Kindred records, the Tremere came into being as a clan very recently, at least by an immortal’s standards. Legend has it that, during Europe’s Dark Ages, a cabal of human wizards enacted a great ritual over the slumbering body of an Antediluvian and thereby wrested for themselves the gift of vampirism. War followed soon thereafter - the fledgling clan found itself besieged by enraged Kindred on every side.

But the Tremere are nothing if not survivors. Their human magic’s lost, they nonetheless managed to alter their rituals and wardings to utilise the power of their vitae. These magical skills, now practiced as the Discipline of Thaumaturgy, have ensured the Tremere’s place among the Kindred ever since.

The Warlocks gladly play the games of diplomacy and intrigue with their newfound brethren. However, their dealings are always triggered with a touch of paranoia, for the Tremere know that the elders of no fewer than three clans bear them a terrible grudge that has yet to be repaid. Therefore, the Tremere work to cultivate what allies they can, even as they strive to heighten their magical mastery. No less is required for their survival. As a result, the childer of Clan Tremere are among the most driven and learned of all Cainites; few cross these undead sorcerers and escape unscarred.

The Tremere are vampires of the Old World, but have travelled across the continents to establish footholds elsewhere. The clan’s seat of power lies in Vienna, where the Tremere elders convene in council and discuss the clan’s future direction. But many larger cities across the globe house Tremere “Chantries” - well-defended houses that are equal parts university, monastery and stronghold. There are Warlocks gather to exchange information and study their vampiric witchcraft, safe from the attentions of their rivals.

Sect:

The Tremere were more than glad to join the fledgling Camarilla when the sect was forming, and they quickly made themselves invaluable there. In fact, the Tremere are one of the linchpins of the sect. They have a marked interest in keeping the Camarilla strong, of course - with their hated Tzimisce enemies directing their Sabbat minions against any Tremere they find, the Warlocks require allies. And with the valuable magical power they offer, the Tremere find the Camarilla glad to provide the support they require. With the Camarilla’s protection, the Tremere are free to pursue the arcane mastery they so avidly desire.

Appearance:

The sorcerous Tremere are typically imposing or sinister in mien. Some favour classic suits; others prefer a slightly more antiquated look, dressing in 1940s-cut suits, Edwardian finery or the simple black turtlenecks of the Beat era. Many wear charms or amulets inscribed with cabalistic or other arcane symbols, as a sign of the learning. Although individual Warlocks may run the gamut from immaculately precise to dishevelled and eccentric, the vampire sorcerers’ eyes always gleam with hidden insight and frightening acuity.

Haven:

While Warlocks may maintain their own individual havens (often complete with extensive libraries), the clan maintains a chantry in every city that harbours a strong Tremere presence. A chantry is open to any of Tremere’s bloodline and absolutely forbidden to all others. The Warlocks are infamous for their well-guarded havens; almost all boast mystical wards that even other Tremere would find difficult to circumvent.

Background:

Many Tremere dabbled in the occult or other scholarly pursuits in life. However, a fascination with the unknown is hardly enough to draw a Warlock’s attention; clan members seek “apprentices” with aggressive natures and clear thinking, and care little for muddle-headed New Agers or befuddled conspiracy theorists. Clan Tremere has an unspoken tradition of sexism, and most of its elders are male. Tremere ancillae have become rather more open-minded of late, though, and draw ample numbers of suitably ambitious and persistent acolytes from both sexes.

Disciplines
Auspex
Dominate
Thaumaturgy

Weakness:

By clan law, all neonate Tremere must drink the blood of the clan’s seven elders when they are created. All Tremere are at least one step toward being blood bound to their elders, and therefore usually act with great clan loyalty - in order to avoid having such loyalty forced on them. What’s more, this arrangement means that Tremere are hard-pressed to resist the will of their elders.
Gangrel
Antediluvian‘s Name: Ennoia/Gangrel

Sobriquet: Animals, Outlanders

History of the Gangrel

Of all vampires, the Gangrel are perhaps closest to their inner nature. These nomadic loners spurn the constraints of society, preferring the comfort of the wilderness. How they avoid the wrath of werewolves is unknown; perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the Gangrel are themselves shapeshifters. When a mortal speaks of a vampire changing into a wolf or a bat, she is probably speaking of a Gangrel.

Like the Brujah, Gangrel are fierce warriors; unlike the Brujah, Gangrel ferocity does not stem from anarchic rage, but from animalistic instinct. They are among the most predatory Kindred, and love to lose themselves in the thrill of the hunt. Gangrel have a keen understanding of the Beast in their souls, and prefer to spend their nights in communion with the animals whom they so emulate. Indeed, Gangrel are so attuned to their Beasts that, after losing themselves to frenzy, animalistic features often appear on their bodies.

The clan itself has little contact with, or regard for, the rest of the Kindred. This might be due to a desire to avoid the snares of the Jyhad, but is more likely the product of simple disinterest. Certainly, Gangrel are popularly viewed as quiet, taciturn and reclusive. Although there is no more truth to this than there is to any other stereotype, the clan as a whole displays little of the ostentation found among lines such as the Toreador or Ventrue.

Gangrel are closely tied to the Rom, or Gypsies, adopting much of that culture’s speech patterns and mannerisms. Rumours speculate that the Rom are in fact descended from the Antediluvian who founded the Gangrel line. As such, say the rumours, any Kindred who harms or Embraces a Gypsy will suffer the wrath of the Ancient. Obviously, the vampires of Clan Ravnos ignore this fabled prohibition, and Gangrel and Ravnos harbour an ages-old hatred for each other.

Sect:

Clan Gangrel is nominally in the Camarilla, though a fair number of Sabbat Gangrel exist as well. Most Gangrel care little for sect, and rumblings of outright secession from the Camarilla have made the rounds at recent Gangrel Gathers.

Appearance:

Gangrel’s harsh unlifestyle and lack of interest in fashion often make them seem rugged and wild. Couple this with the animal features common among the clan, and Gangrel sometimes appear downright frightening. Some mortals and Kindred find a certain predatory beauty in the Gangrel, though this can lead to a dangerous misjudgement of the Gangrel’s intentions.

Haven:

Gangrel often make no permanent havens, sleeping wherever they can find shelter from the sun. Gangrel with sufficient mastery of the Protean Discipline sleep in the very earth, lairing in parks and other spots of natural terrain. Although many Gangrel prefer to lair in the wild or travel from place to place, they are as vulnerable to attack by werewolves as other Kindred are, and so they are often forced to remain in the city‘s confines.

Background:

Gangrel Embrace for a variety of reasons, as do most Kindred, but do not pass on the Curse lightly or commonly. If a generalisation must be made, it could be said that Gangrel prefer to Embrace loners, those who have the physical and emotional resiliency to survive the shock of the Change. The sire’s training, what little there is, tends to be gruff and harsh; most Gangrel must discover the vagaries of unlife largely on their own.

Disciplines
Animalism
Fortitude
Protean

Weakness:

Gangrel are very close to the Beast Within; as they succumb to it, it leaves its mark on their bodies. Every time a Gangrel frenzies, she gains an animalistic feature. This feature is determined by the player; it might be tufted ears, a pelt, a tail, catlike eyes, a snarling voice, tusks, even scales or feathers.

Malkavians
Antediluvian‘s Name: Malkav

Sobriquet: Kooks, Crazies, Lunatics, Children of Malkav

History of the Malkavians

Even other Damned fear the Malkavians. The cursed blood of their clan has polluted their minds, with the result that every last Malkavians across the world is incurably insane. What’s worse, a Malkavain’s madness can take nearly any form from overpowering homicidal tendencies to near-catatonia. In many cases there’s no way to tell a Malkavian apart from the “sane” members of other clans. Those few whose psychoses are immediately obvious are among the most terrifying vampires to stalk the streets.

For as long as even the eldest Cainites can remember, the Malkavians have always stirred Kindred society with their passage. Although the clan has instigated no great wars nor toppled mortal governments (at least, to the best of their fellow vampires’ knowledge), the very presence of a Malkavian works a subtle change on a city. Chaos nips at the Lunatics’ heels, and those who associate with even the most well-meaning Malkavian often finds their lives or unlives altered by the Cainite’s madness.

Recently, the Malkavians executed their grandest “prank” of all. None can say whether it was worked in a great Malkavian Parliament held somewhere in an isolated European village, or on a bleak and forgotten moor somewhere far from the cities. A few stories speak of a epidemic of contagious dementia exploding among those of Malkav’s blood. Whatever the cause, Malkavians across the world have begun displaying a new, dangerous edge to their madness, accompanied by bizarre events in Kindred cities around the world. A long-standing Malkavian conceit holds the Jyhad to be a joke instigated by the founder of the clan; some Kindred wonder if, in fact, Malkavians have played the joke on them all along.

None can say what exactly makes the Lunatics so dangerous. Certainly, their madness often frees them from fear of pain or Final Death. More than a few demonstrate horrifying murderous urges or a complete lack of emotion, including compassion. But most convincingly, the Malkavians are free from the confines of rationality and may do whatever they like - and this freedom is coupled with an uncanny insight, a strange wisdom that cannot be perceived by the same. The Malkavians possess a dark intellect that is often - and increasingly - set to frightening purposes.

Sect:

The Malkavians as a clan have an… understanding… with the Camarilla. They also populate the Sabbat in lesser numbers, where they frighten even their packmates with their psychotic displays. But when it all comes down to it, their true loyalties likely transcend sects. When Gehenna arrives, nobody can say for sure where the Malkavians will stand.

Appearance:

Malkavians run the gamut from terrifyingly psychotic to convincingly ordinary in every way - sometimes both at once. Just like serial killers, they could be anyone - the scruffy bum talking to himself, the pleasant but quiet neighbour, the borderline-suicidal musician. These vampires are capable of great subtlety, and rarely show anyone a face other than the one they want people to see.

Haven:

The Lunatics by and large take whatever shelter they like, although more than a few find aging hospitals and poorly funded asylums to their tastes. Many seem to enjoy the company of desperate mortals, and prefer slums and institutions to more secluded havens.

Background:

Malkavians take their childer from all walks of life and for all number of reasons. Anyone can be chosen to further a sire’s twisted purposes, although most Lunatics prefer Embracing those already close to (or subject to) madness. Most other vampires believe that the Malkavians Embrace their childer on a whim; however, virtually all Lunatics discover themselves subtly championing some barely perceptible “purpose,” the full extent of which none - not even their sires - can properly fathom.

Disciplines
Auspex
Dementation
Obfuscate

Weakness:

Every last vampire of Malkav’s brood is irredeemably insane in some form or another. Some attribute this to a curse of the blood, while other Lunatics actually call it a special blessing, a gift of insight. When a Malkavian character is created, the player must choose at least one derangement for that character at the time of the Embrace; this derangement can be temporarily fought with willpower, but can never be permanently overcome.
Toreador
Antediluvian‘s Name: Arikel/Ishtarr

Sobriquet: Artisans, Posers

History of the Toreador

The Toreador are called many things - “degenerates,” “artistes,” “poseurs” and “hedonists” being but a few. But any such lumpen categorisation does the clan a disservice. Depending on the individual and her mood, Toreador are alternatively elegant and flamboyant, brilliant and ludicrous, visionary and dissipated. Perhaps the only truism that can be applied to the clan is its members’ aesthetic zeal. Whatever a Toreador does, she does with passion. Whatever a Toreador is, she is with passion.

To the Toreador, eternal life is to be savoured. Many Toreador were artists, musicians or poets in life; many more have spent frustrating centuries producing laughable attempts at art, music or poetry. Toreador tout themselves as cultivators of all that is best about humanity. Occasionally, a particularly gifted or inspired creator is Embraced into the clan, to preserve her talent for eternity. In this manner, Clan Toreador has inducted some of humanity’s greatest artists, poets and musicians into its ranks; of course, if one thing can be said about the Toreador, it is that no two of them agree on precisely what “gifted” or “inspired” means.

Of all clans, Toreador are the vampires most connected to the mortal world. While other vampires view the kine as pawns or simple sustenance, Toreador glide gracefully and effortlessly through the society of the Canaille, sampling the delights of each age as a gourmand savours rare delicacies.

Toreador are the Kindred most likely to fall in love with mortals, and they surround themselves with the best, most elegant and most luxurious things - and people - that the world has to offer. It is, thus, acutely tragic when a Toreador succumbs to ennui and discards pursuits in favour of pointless hedonism. Such Kindred become decadent sybarites, concerned only with indulging personal whims and vices.

Toreador are committed to the Camarilla and share the Ventrue’s love of high society, though not for them the tedium of actually running things - that’s what functionaries are for, after all. Toreador know that their place is to captivate and inspire - through their witty speech, graceful deeds and simple, scintillating existence.

Sect:

Most Toreador are in the Camarilla, as only that august organisation promotes “culture” and allows the Toreador to live among the mortals they so favour. Those in the Sabbat pursue bizarre “artistic” pastimes, such as torture and blood-painting, or are the rulers of the most decadent underground movements.

Appearance:

Toreador Embrace out of passion as much as any other reason; accordingly, many Toreador are creatures of surpassing beauty. Of all Kindred, Toreador are the vampires most attuned to human fashion trends; centuries-old Degenerates are often more stylish than some 30-year-old mortals. If it’s in, chances are that at least one Toreador will adopt it.

Haven:

Toreador take care to ensure that their havens are comfortable, convenient for socialising and - above all - conform to their aesthetic tastes. Vampires of a more artistic bent might maintain spacious lofts to display their works, while their “poseur” counterparts love opulent suites perfect for hosting parties.

Background:

Toreador range across a spectrum of concepts, from lonely, tortured artists to debauched jetsetters. Some Toreador are Embraced for no reason other than their beauty or personal style, as a passionate sire decides they simply must be “preserved” for eternity.

Disciplines
Auspex
Celerity
Presence

Weakness:

Toreador are preternaturally attuned to the aesthetic and beautiful, but this sensitivity can prove dangerous. When a Toreador views, hears or even smells something that is truly beautiful - a person, a painting, a song, a particularly lovely sunrise - they may become entranced by the sensation. The Toreador will stand in rapt fascination for a scene or until the beautiful thing withdraws. Enraptured Toreador may not even defend themselves if attack, though being wounded allows them to make an attempt to “break the spell.”
Ventrue
Antediluvian‘s Name: Veddhartha/Ventrue

Sobriquet: Blue Bloods, Aristocrats

History of the Ventrue

The Kindred of Clan Ventrue have a reputation for being honourable, genteel and of impeccable taste. From time out of mind, Ventrue has been the clan of leadership, enforcing the ancient traditions and seeking to shape the destiny of the Kindred. In nights of old, Ventrue were chosen from nobles, merchant princes or other wielders of power. In modern times the clan recruits from wealthy “old money” families, ruthless corporate climbers, and politicians. Whatever their origin, Ventrue vampires preserve stability and maintain order for the Camarilla. Other Kindred often mistake this for arrogance or avarice, but to the Ventrue, their shepherd’s role is more burden than honour.

Ventrue support the Masquerade wholeheartedly, feeling that under its auspices the best existence for all vampires may be obtained. To the Ventrue mind, other clans are brash and impetuous. Too concerned with their short-term comfort, other vampires gladly give up an eternity tomorrow for a bit of vitae tonight. Without the Ventrue, there would be no Masquerade; without the Masquerade, there would be no vampires. Thus, the Ventrue have the weight of Atlas upon their shoulders. They bear their burden with a stiff upper lip and just a hint of noblesse oblige. No other clan could lead the Children of Caine in the nights of imminent Gehenna - or so the Ventrue are apt to say. After all, their reputation rests on it.

Ventrue see themselves as nobles in the classical sense of the word, fighting to uphold the station of those below them. They are the kings, knights and barons of the modern night. Although the struggle has moved from battlefield to boardroom and from jousting lists to voting districts. Clan Ventrue continues the duel. Young Ventrue rally and lead the troops with their cellular phones and limousines, while the clan elders watch the horizons for threats that loom like storm clouds. Many holdings under Camarilla control are overseen by Ventrue, and the Blue Bloods are loath to relax their grip over endeavours they so desperately struggle to maintain. Reputation and achievement take a Kindred far in the Ventrue clan, but none of that counts if the vampire cannot maintain his influence.

Other vampires often cast aspersions on the Ventrue, vilifying them as sanctimonious, pompous or even tyrannical - and yet it is the Blue Bloods to whom those other vampires turn when something goes wrong. Ventrue cultivate, influence and - when they can - control the kine’s media, police, politics, health and medicine, organised crime, industry, finance, transportation and even the Church. When another vampire requires aid, the Ventrue can often provide it - for a price.

Naturally, Ventrue gravitate to the upper crust of kine society, where their sophistication serves them in good stead. Although Ventrue move in the same social circles as the Toreador, they do not fritter away their existences in frivolity and idle chatter. The Ventrue proudly wear the privileges of leadership, and stoically bear its burdens. Thus has it always been; thus shall it always be.

Sect:

Elegant, aristocratic and regal, the Ventrue are the lords of the Camarilla. It was Clan Ventrue that provided the cornerstone of the Camarilla, and it is Clan Ventrue that directs and coaxes the Camarilla in its darkest hours. Even in the modern age, the majority of princes descend from Clan Ventrue. The Ventrue would, of course, have things no other way.

Appearance:

Ventrue cultivate classical, traditional appearances. Set in their ways, Ventrue vampires often affect the styles of their breathing days, and one may frequently guess a Ventrue’s age by determining from which period of history her clothing dates. Young members of the clan tend towards fashions ranging from “preppy” styles to omnipresent suit-and-tie wardrobes. Ventrue are elegant and stylish, but rarely on the cutting edge of couture or haberdashery trends. After all, one must stand out, not stick out.

Haven:

Only the best will do. Ventrue commonly make their havens in mansions or valuable estates. Ventrue vampires often come from wealthy families, and their havens may even be ancestral homes. An old Ventrue tradition holds that any member of the clan may take sanctuary with any other member of the clan, and cannot be refused. This tradition is rarely invoked, for the vampire seeking refuge subsequently owes a great debt to the vampire who provided succour. Nonetheless, the custom has saved the unlife of more than one Blue Blood.

Background:

Ventrue traditionally hail from professional or high-society stock, though in modern nights the clan may claim any noteworthy person. Age, wisdom and experience play great parts in Ventrue Embraces, and a Blue Blood never Embraces capriciously. Some Ventrue create neonates exclusively along family lines, in a twisted progression of gentrification. Other Kindred that the Ventrue are inbred, while the Ventrue themselves maintain that only the cream of the crop is suitable for membership in their clan.

Disciplines
Dominate
Fortitude
Presence

Weakness:

Ventrue taste is rarefied to the point of exclusivity, and each Blue Blood may partake of only a certain type of mortal blood. This type is chosen at character creation. For example, a particular Ventrue might feed exclusively from virgins, blond men, children or clergy. The character will feed on no other type of blood, even if starving or under duress. Ventrue may feed on vampire blood normally.
Ravnos
Antediluvian‘s Name: Zapathasura

Sobriquet: Deceivers, Gypsies

History of the Ravnos

If ever a clan was renowned for a wickedly black sense of humour, the Ravnos would be that clan. These Cainites are deceivers of the first order, weaving illusion and lies into elaborate schemes to part the foolish from whatever it is the Ravnos might fancy - be it wealth, blood or even their victims’ freedom. Like Mephistopheles or Old Scratch, the Ravnos ply their devil’s deals with whomever they choose, be it human or Kindred, and woe to those who wind up unable to pay the hidden costs.

Although many Ravnos see themselves as great tricksters, the generally benevolent tricks of Coyote and Raven aren’t so much their style. Instead, they draw on a tradition of illusion and deceit inherited from the rakshasas and ghuls of the Middle and Far East. A Ravnos is a highly dangerous being with whom to sup or bargain. And these devils have been making their wagers and bargains for a long time indeed.

The Ravnos are nomadic to the core and care little for permanent havens or positions in a city’s established power structure. Even those who have chosen a given city for their home tend to establish and abandon havens as the mood strikes them, taking whatever lairs they like, doing as they please, and moving on when bored. This habit infuriates princes across the world, who resent the Ravnos’ disregard for the Tradition of Hospitality. Few punish violators, though, for fear drawing the malice of the clan as a whole.

Although the clan has long-standing ties with the Gypsies, few Ravnos enjoy the hospitality of the mortal kin. Perhaps the Gypsies know these vampires’ true natures too well, and are loath to offer friendship to the undying. Perhaps the Ravnos themselves alienate their mortal families through their dangerous tricks. Whatever the reason, a Ravnos typically has no allies he can rely on regularly. His charm may win him a few temporary companions, and clan loyalty may draw fellow Ravnos to his side in times of dire need, but the vampire’s path ultimately lies alone.

Naturally, the princes of many cities are leery of allowing such tricksters free rein in their domains. The Ravnos’ eccentric code of honour is strong, but rarely coincides with another Kindred’s definition of the term. A Ravnos may break her word at will, unless she’s pit in her palm and shaken on the deal. She’ll defend her “good name” for all it’s worth - depending on what she considers slander. And she’ll usually come to the defence of a clanmate, and vice versa; the Ravnos may take advantage of one another, but they consider it their privilege. Outsiders aren’t allowed the same.

Perhaps the most worrisome thing about the Ravnos is that as a clan, they managed to survive for centuries in Asia, where most Kindred are quickly hunted down and devoured by the ruthless Cathayans. No other Cainites know exactly how they managed this - but now a possible reason is emerging. Rumours filter back to Europe and the Americans of elder things awakening, of ancient vampires shrugging off the earth of millennia and throwing the Cainite courts into disorder. These elder Ravnos - if rumour speaks correctly - have demonstrated terrifying mystical powers, including a talent for illusions so powerful they can affect the physical world. Time can only tell what part the re-emergence of these “demon kings” will play in the Jyhad.

Sect:

The Ravnos go where they will and deal with whomever they will, and sects be damned. The elders of the clan, particularly those centred in India, scoff at the Camarilla and Sabbat as temporary social clubs at best, hollow institutions where paranoid vampires can gather in numbers and reassure themselves that they are the apex of the food chain. The younger ones simply reject the idea of giving any outsider even a fraction of authority over them.

Most Ravnos look at the Sabbat’s promises of freedom and the Camarilla’s offer of protection as nothing more than honeyed bait for the trap, and politely (or not so politely) decline.

Appearance:

Many younger Western Ravnos are of Gypsy descent, usually of dark complexion, with darker hair and eyes. Slightly rarer are those with Asian, African or Nordic features, and rarer still are those without even a trace of Gypsy blood. In fact, European Ravnos do not Embrace gorgio (non-Gypsies) at all.

The Eastern half of the clan is mostly of Indian blood, although members have Embraced promising men and women of other ethnicities. Like their Western cousins, they favour colourful and beautiful clothing, and enjoy practicing their allure on mortals.

Haven:

Ravnos are nomadic by nature; even their Eastern childer feel the wanderlust upon them from time to time. Members of the clan often travel in vans of RVs, taking shelter wherever they may. Those with mortal relatives, particularly Gypsies, often stay with their families for a while. But when the local Kindred start getting uncomfortably curious, the Ravnos are on the road again.

Background:

These nomadic vampires Embrace few childer, despite the swelling herds of humanity. The youngest Ravnos, however, are fairly indiscriminate in siring childer, and the latest generations have seen Ravnos from all cultures and ethnicities. Those Ravnos neonates without Indian or Gypsy blood typically demonstrated great facility for misdirection, barter and mischief in life. The Devil has a sharp eye for his own.

Disciplines
Chimerstry
Animalism
Fortitude

Weakness:

The Ravnos have indulged in their particular vices so long that they have become addicted to them. Each Ravnos has a weakness for some form of trickery, deceit or mischief, whether it be gambling, lying, theft, blackmail or even cleverly framed murder. When the opportunity to indulge presents itself, a Ravnos must resist or else succumb to her compulsion.

Orange Marmalade

Hell yes :) How are you working things like disciplines, generation and the like?

Jinxy

I am mainly hoping people wont try and make god characters. But I am sure most won't as every one so far is pretty awesome!

Generation. Prince and City Primogen 8th
Sabbat Leader the same.
Clan members 9,10,11,12 and so on.

As for disciplines. It has to be approved. Don't want someone walking around with Advanced Powers like 10 points in dominate.
I would say for using them. In your post "attempt it"  giving the person a chance to wiggle there way past it. Though the lower the Gen of the person on the receiving end to the person on the giving end, sense we are not going into full out points, would more then likely fall to said power.

Totally willing to work with anyone who needs it.

Orange Marmalade

That sounds good - my main concern is, as you said, god characters and the like. Without some sort of character sheet system things could get kind of crazy, no? Maybe some number of dots based on generation? I donno.

I love oWoD settings, so I'm very interested. Particularly as a Primogen, and possibly as a Tremere :)

Jinxy

Once I have enough people interested. At least five I will post up a character sheet. For everyone to fill. I might even add it up there tomorrow so its there.
This way I can have a look at each character before there out in game and they won't be gods.

xya simi

This is sounding good. oWoD was my thing back when I actually managed to get out and roleplay (having kids kinda reduces that ability). I would definitely be interested, particularly playing a Malk (I enjoy craziness).

O.o

I tried getting a one-on-one game set in the Masquerade universe going some time back, nothing ever really came of it.  I would love- LOVE- to get in on this.  Huge fan of oWoD (even dropped cash on the 20th anniversary edition), so this feels like exactly what I was looking for.

Assuming I get approval, how do you feel about generating a character using the tabletop system, just to get the bare bones and abilities figured out?  With posting a character sheet for us to fill out, it might be the easiest route (and, if someone doesn't have access to the books, I've got the basic generation system on pdf).

Uhg, I kinda know the feeling.  I'm a collector, so i don't get rid of books, but I can't find a good group to game with.  We have enough people, but not enough good, solid role-players to give the game the seriousness and thought it deserves.  More roll-players than role-players, if you know what I mean.

Yes, I do know what you mean Arion. Some people don't seem to realise that role-playing is more than just a toss of the dice.

Bookmarked this thread now to keep an eye on what's happening.

If everyone is interested in using a version of the actual character sheets it shouldn't take me long to make one up. In fact. I think I have one some what from when I did a WtA rp. Just have to change a few things.

So yay or nay on the sheets
I have the books on pdf and also know where you can download them.

I don't mind going into points at all.
I figured I'd leave then out for people who may want to join but not know the system well. Saves on having to teach it.
Just let me know, I will have a sheet posted tonight based on what everyone thinks.

Re Z L

I'm definitely interested in this as well, and my preference would be to use the system rather than just freeforming it--though I can go either way  ;D

Also, unless you're planning a larger game, we should probably just stick with camarilla; though I'd certainly be all for a large camarilla vs. sabbat game too.

I had been hoping for a large game at first.
But I do agree at first we may just keep it to the Cam.
Later on try to add others.

That's not a bad idea. It is rare that the two mix well anyways (Especially if the Sabbat are real Sabbat), especially on a small scale.

I will be adding a character sheet.
Does anyone have any suggestions. Points wise. Or shall we all begin with the bare bones.
Any other suggestions. I am open to everything and anything.

Starting bare bones, or close to I think is a good idea. That was there should be no unfair disadvantages power-wise.

I do think that's good from a balance perspective, but also kind of hard to do considering some of these kindred are supposed to be running a city. Always a tough one.

That was my thoughts as well.
May have to add a few towards those leaders. Nothing to God like, but enough to make a difference

Arion

As far as things go, I'd prefer going with the points buy, but after that freeform play. For points, in the last chronicle I ran it was standard plus the following:

Provide a pic of your character, 1 bonus freebie pt
Create a detailed location within the city, 1 bonus freebie pt, may do this twice
Create a detailed, possibly supernatural (but leave it ambiguous) event in the city's past, 1 bonus freebie pt, may do this twice.

Allows people to earn up to five freebie points while at the same time adding to the chronicle and providing ideas for the storyline.

As for my character, I'm looking at running a Ventrue.

Should be rather simple.
How about 5 extra freebie added to those accepted as a primogen. Gives those first  as leaders more then someone who joins later.

Arion

Sounds good to me. Not looking to run a primogen though (I like the up-and-comer character.

After all, anything otherwise would be a breach of rule 5 - This server is governed by the laws of the United States. You will not link to or provide warez, illegal pdfs or mp3s, and so on. Coolness, I should have my character up by tomorrow night.  Gotta dig my books out and all.

As far as his business interests, I'm looking at him owning a "talent" agency that is mainly a front for his adult film studio and higher end escort service, with appropriate influences to keep the police either turning a blind eye or even partaking of the wares ( it's WoD, after all).  Maybe one or two more, depending on how I work things out.

Oh, the pdf I was talking about with character creation is just something I typed out, with the basic outline for creating a character.  I don't think it violates any laws or rules, since there's no real game information there (it lists how many points you get to put where, but does not provide any details or the like).

But, to be safe, I won't share it.  I'd hate to get booted for a small thing like that.

Yup! Just link them with the added stuff if you have it!

Once I have everyone approved and figured out I will start the ooc thread as well as the game.
I will let you all know the starting scene as well.

Alrighty.  Definitely going to need more space than the sheet provides; I like my characters detailed.

This is the basic sheet~will be adding to this spot after I get her background etc written up. I used Elder Gen rules for her points and shared the link with Jinxy.

Catarina DuBois

*all freebies used*

Date Of Birth~ October 31, 1875
Date of Death~ October 31, 1895

Jolene was born to a share cropper's wife just outside of New Orleans, not long after the slaves had been freed. The pregnancy was the immediate result of a rape by three white males and as such, the girl bore the brunt of her father's rages from an early age. She escaped into fantasy and from there, further devolved into a permanent split personality at around age twelve.

The Personality shift went unmarked by her mother and since her father didn't really pay her any never you mind unless he was drunk or pissed off, well there was no help to be had from anyone. Given the time, the amount of crime and abuse most black folk received on a daily from those around them, Jolene harbored an immense dislike of all those not the same shade as herself and though she grew up to be quite attractive with males of various shades all trying to woo her, she was STILL a virgin when she left home at age sixteen.

She made her way North, finally ending up in New York City in early 1892. There was no work to be had for a young, unlettered BLACK girl, no matter how pretty, and so~ Catarina ended up working in a whore house, one not far from the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It was then, that she garnered the attention of the female who would later become her Sire~ Gemma Daze, a seventh generation Malkavian.

On the night of her 20th birthday, Jolene was raped by a john and left bleeding out on the small bed she paid for in the House. Her brain stutter stopped as her other personality stepped to the fore, forcing her from the bed and out into the streets, searching for succor. "They" were found by Gemma who was so delighted by the turn of events that she quickly started the process of turning "Them." When the young neophyte awakened? Her other personality had devolved further, believing the whole thing to have been a massive prank. Her Sire never really disabused either of "Them" of the notion.

It was Gemma who renamed the young bi-racial female, as Gemma had taken to calling her Catarina from the beginning. Du Bois was simply an affectation.

For almost fifty years she studied the ways of the clan (and her Sire) all while further expanding  upon her natural love of learning. A love that Gemma used ruthlessly~ pushing her to use her powers, develop them, CONTROL them. With every passing decade, the neophyte grew stronger but her personality shattered further beneath the onslaught.

"You are more yourself than ever, my girl..." That was the sentence, that and no more, each and every time. Regardless, those decades were mostly a rose gold time of happiness and insane laughter. No Malkavian ever plans for an eternity but Catarina had just about decided to when, just after the end of the second World War, Gemma was murdered by a band of Hunters.

The shock of it~ of a battle which raged for hours~ drove Catarina into a frenzy and it was only by sheer LUCK that her newest and strongest personality stepped to the fore and basically THREW her into Torpor. She slept, hidden deep within the sewers beneath Manhattan streets for over thirty years. When she awakened? The World had moved on and all of her other personalities had gone away except for her first. His name? Troy.

Catarina worked slowly, building up a decent background for herself, putting cash and gold aside whenever possible and offering a helping hand to the newer in Clan whenever they came to call~ and they did come. After all, she was now the eldest known Malkavian within City limits and as such, responsible for them, to an extent. It was exceedingly hard work to build up the sort of contacts she needed but some how, she managed to keep her slim fingers on the pulse of the City and soon had a nice little coterie of human males from all walks of life, coming to call.

Major Ally~the Lead Psychiatrist at Hempen Hill Mental Institution~Dr. Sloan
Minor Ally~head pediatric nurse at Manhattan General~Lily Fehr
Minor Ally~the co- owner of The Corner Shop in Brooklyn~ Michael Smith

Major Contacts One~ Lead crime beat reporter for the New York Times~Lance Rafferty
Two~ NYC's Assistant DA~ Leon Stubbs
Three~the part owner of the Yellow Cab company~Gregory Moore

When the new Prince of the City stepped in after the last go round? Catarina hadn't been worried. She didn't want the pressures of running the Kindred in this place and as the eldest for her clan, she could easily vie for power with the Prince. She chose not to, instead turning all of her attention toward helping maintain the balance and controlling her Clan within the City's limits.

The work was not thankless, not by a long shot, and she did have certain perks after all. In the end, it was just much easier to allow the world to go on it's way while she worked out exactly what the leaves meant when they scattered in the wind and were caught by a passing moon beam.

Notes on Resources~

Catarina resides in a rather large~ very run down~ brownstone, found in Brooklyn. She has bought into a few small family owned stores around the area including The Corner Shop and those businesses are what provides her monthly capital after taxation and the like. She also owns a black BMW which she rarely drives and a small arsenal of hand guns and sharp pointy things, collected from attempted, and FAILED, robberies.

Alexander Vinton

DoB: May 15th, 1902
DoD: August 17th, 1934

Alexander Vinton was born in an abandoned farmhouse in rural Vermont, in what would one day be the Adirondack State Park.  His parents, Zechariah and Jennifer Anna, were moving to New York, where they hoped their fortunes would improve after Zechariah was fired from his hometown's newspaper.  With them were their three older children, Norma (14), Daniel (10), and Susanna (6), as well as Jennifer's brother Vernon.  They arrived in New York City in the July of 1902, where they stayed in an Immigrant shelter (after some negotiation by the elder Vinton) for three months.  Both Zechariah and Vernon found work with a masonry firm, and before the year was out the entire family had moved into an apartment that was, while not fancy, adequate for their needs.
Weak and sickly as a child, the Vinton family was surprised that Alexander lived to reach puberty.  He rarely played with the other kids in the building (his own siblings being too old), and spent much of his time learning to read with the help of his mother and an old bible.  While in his early teens his health improved and while he would never have the strength or endurance of his peers he was nonetheless strong enough to find employment at a small-print paper, a job which his father approved of and helped him with whenever possible.
When the first World War broke out, while Alexander was 12, his father and uncle enlisted alongside his brother Daniel.  With so much of the family gone Alexander was forced to seek out additional jobs, and shortly found one as an accountant.  A week later he secured at third one as well, this time as the book-keeper for a tavern.  Almost all of his time was spent working, and if he managed a full four hours of sleep a day he counted himself lucky.  The income he earned was sufficient to provide for his mother and youngest sister (who was not yet married and refused the advances of all possible suitors) and even to afford for them to move in to a larger apartment.
The family was devastated when the learned that Zechariah and Vernon were both killed during the Battle of Amiens in August 1918, and then again when Daniel was killed in the same month during the Second Battle of the Somme.  Though struggling with the loss of so many in so short a time, Alexander continued working and in time was made manager of the tavern.
Alexander continued working long hours in all three jobs until January of 1920, when Prohibition went in to effect.  The tavern closed, and a year later the building that the accounting firm was in caught fire and burned to the ground.  Alexander knew he could not support his remaining family members on a single poorly paying job, and he began searching for another.  Unfortunately there didn't seem to be any to be had, and he soon began to despair... until the owner of the tavern contacted him; he was going to begin selling again and needed someone to keep the books, and now that alcohol was illegal the profit to be had, and thus Alexander's wages, would be far greater.  Alexander agreed, even finding the owner a building where a speak-easy could be set up.  The owner was killed by thieves in 1925 and Alexander took over the business.  Under his ownership and careful management he soon was turning immense profits and began dabbling in the underground gambling racket as well as running a discreet brothel that catered the the clients of his other two enterprises.  Needless to say, he quit his job with the paper.
It wasn't until 1907 that Alexander caught the eye of Frederick Attermann, seemingly a new customer to his speak-easy and brothel.  In reality Attermann was an 10th generation Ventrue who had heard about a quickly rising young man who dealt shrewdly and wisely, one who managed to avoid the eye of the police and other law-enforcement.  Attermann became a regular, slowly grooming Alexander.  He was considering him for the Embrace, but wanted to see how well Alexander handled himself.  Attermann 'tested' him, sending thugs to rough up his customers, tipping off the police, and the like; Alexander passed each test, even managing to turn one of the cops with a hefty bribe.
With the end of Prohibition Alexander made his dealings with alcohol public and began opening more bars and taverns, and his wealth began a meteoric rise.  Attermann planned on revealing his nature and turning Alexander in a few more years, but his hand was forced when Alexander was shot by members of a gang that wanted to take over his operation.  Attermann intervened but not before Alexander was mortally wounded; Attermann carried him to a building several blocks away, then asked a single question:
     "Are you ready to die?"
Alexander's mouth formed a single word: NO.
Alexander became Attermann's Childe, and spent almost 3 decades under his tutelage before he was presented to the Prince.  He chaffed under his sire's heavy-handed, brutal teaching techniques and vicious punishments, and on more than one occasion Attermann was tempted to grant him the Final Death.  Alexander believed that, while the Camarilla's Traditions and Masquerade was at present necessary, they could eventually reach a point where they could rule over humanity without fear of reprisal.  This sounded far too close to the Sabbat's ideology, and more than once sire subjected childe to horrific torture in order to purge  such thoughts.
Once out from under his sire's thumb, Alexander immediately set to work building a new network of businesses and illicit trade.  He saw the loosening of social mores and attitudes and envisioned a near future not dissimilar to the one we live int: smut available at any time of day, drugs for everyone.  It would take him a few years, but eventually he established the framework necessary to make his empire run.  Through blackmail and political maneuvering he ended up with great amounts of influence in both the police (to make sure his operations were not interfered with) and healthcare (to keep his "employees" as healthy as possible while they sold their bodies and lives.  He established a haven in a prominent sky-scraper, making sure that his suite had a room at it's center with a hidden door, where sunlight could not reach.
Realizing that he could not oversee every detail that his business demanded of him, he began to search for someone he would be able to trust to manage everything; he found that in Melinda Clement, a woman who had a mind for business and who seemed to share Alexander's twisted morals.  He groomed her for years, much as Attermann had done to him, and eventually turned her into a ghoul.  After the first taste Melinda was hooked and swore to aide him in whatever ways possible so long as she had a place in his empire; Alexander had no problem sharing a little of the power.

For the past few years Alexander has been slowly building his power, and plans on diversifying his business interests.  For now he's content to fly under the radar of the other Kindred in the city, but that may change once he secures his power base...

That's what I've got so far.  Character sheet has the extra-credit dots spent on it, and I should have the actual write-ups for those up some time tomorrow.

Character Sheet: http://sheetgen.dalines.net/sheet/29027?message=true

Alette Laroche
Alette Laroche was born 1831 and died 1857. Born to a rich family in Paris France Alette did not want, as she was always given. Her father the Owner of a bank and her mother was simply a rich Socialite enjoying the life that was provided for both her and there only child. They attended afternoon tea, small parties and balls, wearing nothing but the best custom made gowns. It was there that Duran Lacroix spotted the still growing beauty. He became obsessed with her. Knowing that in due time he would have her. Alette’s family moved not shortly after that event. To a newly built home more in the country. Her father would have to travel sometimes to work, but most of the time he worked from home. At the age of seventeen Alette was being courted by a young man Lance Rieu. It was a promising affair in the eyes of her family. Lance’s father owned one of the largest trading companies in France. It wasn’t long after the engagement was announced that young Lance was found murdered in the barn at his family home. His murderer unknown. At the age of eighteen twenty Alette was courted once more as her mourning period had come to an end. This man was much simpler and a tad older than she. Reule Bourgoine he just so happened to work in her father's bank and hoped that with marrying her he would someday become president of it. There courting lasted a few months before their engagement was announced. Within a few days before the marriage Reule was found dead in a brothel. His Murderer unknown as Lances.
It was with this that people stopped coming around to meet the young beauty. They believe she to be cursed or a black widow of sorts.

Years went by Alette mother and father died in a tragic accident, leaving the now twenty six year old to run her father business and the household alone. It was then that she attended a ball that he finally approached her. Alette was taken back at first but she quickly found herself falling for his charm. Duran Lacroix. He’d told he heard heard of her tragic life and wished to make it better for her. Unmarried at the age of twenty six was not something normal in those days and she found herself leaping at the chance to explore something with the handsome, charming Duran.

Late that very night as she returned to her hotel. Her arm entwined with Duran he talked about how he could make things better for her, how they could become something great together and all she had to do was say yes. Little did she know, that this night would be the night of her death and rebirth into the life of the Kindred. Once she was embraced Alette gave the bank to her ‘husband’ to run. She found the life as an immortal more than she had first thought when told about it. Little did she know when she got into this she was becoming the Childe to the Venture Primogen at the time. Not that, that had meant anything to her. At first. But she was told that to be with him, she would be expected to act a way that others didn’t. She was from refined blood, both when she was Kine and now as a Kindred.

Years seemed to move by rather fast. Before she knew it she was close to one hundred but didn’t look a day over twenty six. To her life was good. For sometime. She’d found out that the deaths of her fiancees had been the work of Duran. He’d had them killed each time he found out she was to marry. She felt betrayed and manipulated by him. This only caused her to leave his side. She knew everything she needed to do and from being his childe she knew enough people that she could move on to a life elsewhere.

America was her first stop. New Orleans. She found that this city had everything a young vampire could wish to have. Though being a Venture, her taste for blood was rather picky she was sure she would find a young man could tickle her taste buds. Alette opened her first club with money she had taken, stolen what ever from the bank when she left. A burlesque themed bar. Would would have thought people would enjoy the french culture as much as they didn. It didn’t take long for it to grow and grow in size until she was able to make a rather very nice living for herself.

Years went by and the world changed but Alette remained the same moving from place to place every few years or so, keeping out of the mortal eye but always remaining in the eyes of the Kindred. It wasn’t until thirty years before this day that Alette came into new york and was able to get herself a position of power. Venture Primogen. The prince of the city Charles Bramdon a venture in his own right fell into tupor. Alette quickly moved in before the power struggle of the Primogen got to fierce and staked her claim as Prince. No one fought back.
Thats when she noticed her haunting. The Spirit of a person she’d killed when she found out about Durans missdeeds. Her own anger had taken over and gotten the best of her. Now that she has everything she wants the spirit haunts her at every waking moment.

Location:
A large penthouse apartment that looks over central park. It a place she goes in her free time when not handling businesses within the city. As well as the one outside the city. Her home away from life of a Prince. The walls are brightly darkly colored, in greys, reds and gold and silver accents. The furniture is fairly modern, except for her bedroom. A large four poster bed, done in silks and satin with heavy drapes.  The apartment is heavily guarded with the best security system out. All the windows heavily tinted and have light tight curtains if needed. Her bedroom is the only room that does not have windows.

Laroche Inc. Six floors of people who work for her. Handle the business she has opened within the city as well as in the country. Keep tabs on what's going on with the Kindred of this city. They keep eyes and ears on social media sites as well as the private and very secure site created for the kindred of the city to keep on the up and up. Because who sends letters these days? Top floor is her office and meeting place.

I have tons of ideas!! Mostly though, I want to wait to see how the initial actions play out BEFORE I whisper into your oh so awesome ear and give you plot points to play with. THEN...I will be bugging you with ideas for things I think might be fun. (By the by, are we keeping the main chronicle Kindred only? And how do people feel about introducing a Sabbat element??)

I hope at some point to add most elements to the game. Sabbat at some point. As well as Hunters, ghouls, and maybe even Garou. (which is how I got started in oWoD to begin with. Werewolf the Apocalypse)

All this is much later of course.

Just have to be a little careful that it doesn't turn into an all out war rather than roleplay :)

Ghouls can be fun, but it gets messy because a lot of times people forget what it is like to be a _real_ slave. Badmouth somebody as a g houl? No your owner doesn't protect you. He stands there while the person who insulted you pops your head off. Such is the way of kindred! lol

I agree! I think adding those things later would add a little extra umph to any rp. If anything! I have no problem writing up a Sabbat group naughtiness. Something to uncover and stop kinda thing.

I played a Black Fury! It was in something a little more fast paced the table top and forum and everyone kept telling her she needed to get laid >.<
I also played a Shadow Lord, Finanna, Get of Fenris and once a Black Spiral who had be turned Abom. She died rather fast but still soooo fun and made for great story line!

I'm all for adding ghouls, not least because I spent some points on one as a retainer ;)

Meant to get things finalized, but a four-hour session of the Spartacus board game broke out...

Hah yeah if we add ghouls, I've got a chunk of retainers ;)

Or if somebody wanted to play a Gargoyle or other fun Tremere toy.

Jinxy

Ghouls are in then! Will see if we can get some on! I know I have at least three.

Oh and I wanted to put out there, that while we first get things going. There may be a need for a few random npcs. Which I don't mind playing as well. But if anyone would like to pitch in on that.
I would love you long time! ;)

Imogen

I might be interested in playing a ghoul for someone who is interested in a useful ghoul with connections. This won't be a sex toy nor a 'sit at Master's feet and stays silent all session' ghoul.

The character I'm aiming for is the chef and owner of a Michelin star restaurant. She is also an excellent host and manager. Needless to say I'm not looking at a domitor whose first (or second, third, etc) act will be to have the restaurant signed over to their name, but one who can play off having access to its use.

*raises a fist in mock anger at Wolfling72* I wanted that position *pouts*

OK then, is there room for a Nosferatu Primogen? If so, is it possible to use the Elder Generation rules like Wolfling did? Or just stick to the basics?

I have ideas for a couple of businesses for my character regardless of where he winds up in the Camarilla.

*starts to dawdle, then breaks out into a run to get the ideas out of my head and onto "paper"*

Other than that, here's one of my two created Locations for Extra Credit:

The Yolen Building

Rather large and unassuming, the Yolen building is home to both the Twin Stars Talent Agency and Devil-Goddess Films.
Twin Stars takes up almost the entirety of the first floor, and is open around the clock.  At any hour anyone entering the building can find a line of people, of both sexes, waiting to be seen for their first interview or perhaps for a call back.  The decorations are classy yet stark, with new-age art adorning the walls and corners.  Pictures of past and recent success are here and there, along with pamphlets supposedly written by those stars that tell the story of their success and which credit the agency for making everything happen.
The interview offices are staffed employ three men and two women, who work two at a time in twelve hour shifts.  During the day Melinda Clement, the business's manager, can also be found there, working alongside the others though mostly taking the call backs who are "hard sells" for the company upstairs.  At night you can sometimes find the owner, the reclusive Alexander Vinton, taking the rare case or even just dropping by to see how things are going.
The Second, third, and fourth floors of the building belong to Devil-Goddess Films, Vinton's adult film studio.  Drawing a large number of it's "actors" and "actresses" from the agency below, DGF has made it big in recent years, securing several awards from the AFI and releasing best-sellers such as "The Adventures of Fuckaroo Bambi and the Eight Holes" and "Carnal Creatures 4: Titans of Cock".  In addition to larger productions they release a large number of smaller projects, which cover the entire range of adult film desires and depravity.  Some border on the illegal, but the Studio's lawyers make sure that everything remains on the right side of the law (though many times only by technicality).  The three floors themselves are broken down into multiple areas: the offices and prep rooms taking up comparatively small portions next to the myriad rooms and studios, each decorated in a different style so that everything besides outdoors scenes can be filmed there.  DGF employs a surprising number of writers for it's more up-scale films, many of which can be found there at any time (whether they're working or not).
The roof of the building has a large covered area with luxurious chairs and a bar, for when Alexander comes to visit or for when Melinda wishes to get away from the office work.  The covered area has a privacy wall so that people in the surrounding buildings cannot see what is going on within; the wall, however, is made so that those within can see out (a material dark on one side yet transparent on the other, much like a two-way mirror).
From the outside the building blends in with those surrounding it, and the directory merely lists Twin Stars and, somewhat enigmatically, DGF Studio (which reads as just that, with no explanations of what the initials may stand for).
"The flesh surrenders itself.  Eternity takes back its own.  Our bodies stirred these waters briefly, danced with a certain intoxication before the love of life and self, dealt with a few strange ideas, then submitted to the instruments of Time.  What can we say of this?  I occurred.  I am not... yet, I occurred."     -Frank Herbert

Amelie Chevalier:

Owns: Lotus (BDSM club)

DoB: 18th December 1881
DoD: 31st December 1910

Character Sheet: http://sheetgen.dalines.net/sheet/29037

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Amelie was born in the winter of 1881. Her father was both a Socialite and and artist, a flamboyant man who enjoyed the finer things in life and was always seeking those things which he thought beuatiful. One such beauty was Amelie's mother, a reserved and shy young lady whom he met through one of his various social circles. Her father, being the man he was  seduced her mother and barely nine months after they met Amelie was born.

It was Amelie's grandparents on her mother's side that raised her wanting to keep her away from the exotic world that they believed her mother had now fallen into. For many years they were able to keep her safe and protected in what they deemed decent society.
As the years progressed and Amelie aged her curiosity and desire to know more of her parents grew. At the age of 16 when in the care of some friends of the family whilst out at the opera she managed to sneak away and made her way to the Folies Bergere where she knew her father spent time. It was here that she first discovered the 'dancing girls'. Naturally leading on from the Folies was the exploration of the Moulin Rouge.

She spent as much time as possible over the next few years escaping to watch these exotic dance routines entranced by the sensuality and confidence that the women portrayed. At the age of 18 she approached her first choreographer/director asking to join the chorus line. Due to being unknown and having no experience she was denied a place on the line but allowed to help with the costumes and assigned to one of the established girls to 'learn the ropes'.

It turned out that Amelie had a natural talent for dancing and the art of Burlesque and so it was not long before she was given her coveted place in the chorus line. This gradually led to having her own solo performance.

During her time as a dancer she began to drink Absynthe and partake in other substances during after-show parties. Her life of excess swiftly took her away from the protective world her grandparents had tried to create for her and into a darker world. At one of these parties Amelie met the lady who was to be her Sire, Sophia Moydehr.

It was at a New Year's Eve party in 1910 that Amelie was turned. Sophia had taken a great liking to Amelie and decided that gifting her as one of the 'undead' was a brilliant idea and would make a wonderful start to the new year. Unfortunately Amelie was under the influence of of a cocktail of drugs and never quite came out of her drug induced state of mind during the turning.

Sophia wasted no time in beginning her 'training' of Amelie was she had been turned. She was quickly introduced to the writings of the Marquis de Sade and Leopold von Sacher-Masoch and tutored in the world of eroticism and fetish. Once she felt that no more knowldge could be imparted Sophia put Amelie on a boat and sent her off to explore the world for her own.

Having established a BDSM club in Las Vegas where she had resided for many years Amelie became bored and restless and so moved east to New York where she has started up a new BDSM club (Lotus). She is still establishing herself in the city and forming new acquaintances.

For the ghoul loving types - The Tremere Primogen has multiple retainers and other mortals and connections, so if folks are interested let me know :)

Also if anyone else wants to play a Tremere! Or maybe one of their guardians.

Jinxy

If no one minds. I will most likely be also playing multiple random background characters.
Random things, such as Security Guard, Homeless Person, and some other things. For plots ect.

If anyone would also like to, just let me know.
They won't be anything to amazing, fly by characters that may or may not meet untimely deaths.

Speaking of Extras, and supportive cast members, do you have any objections for the players to make their own? Like if they own a club, they can make up the bar staff, etc? I'm happy to create extras on an as needed basis (witness, victim, innocent bystander, staff member of a business) that helps move the plot along. As well as playing someone like that to help someone else out, or give them something to do.

Starts bouncing up and down excitedly...impatience growing...and growing.

Ahhh, okay. While I am awake and thinking on it~

The Haven is home to a collection of late 18th and 19th century art and artists. Within it's upscale confines~located in Greenwich Village~one can (and will) find artworks by Native Americans, unknown and well known African Americans, Aborigines and other minority artists of those particular ages.

Small placards hold information in discreet locations through out the rather large space and on every floor, one can find small seating areas, situated so as to not impede the eye nor forward motion. The top floor is home to a well known cafe and until about five years ago was open to the public of an evening.

The gallery itself has grown into a well known spot for those with a taste for art that is not so well appreciated  and the crowds that gather here are from the very best sorts of families~well to do, old monied polite society members.

Gemma Daze, Cat's Sire, had originally been co-owner back when the museum first opened but Catarina took a different approach, becoming a patron of sorts and sponsoring new collections at least once every few years. First~ as her Sire, then as her own mother before finally deeding it on (at least on paper) to herself. The backgrounds for each collection gifted are without fault and all papers are in order. Because of her extraordinary gifts, the owners and herself have an understanding and the museum is available for use from sun down to an hour before sun up with no questions asked, six times a year at need.

*so far I have earned 2 more freebies, I will be using them and then Catarina is finished as I have nothing further to add*

Name- Gemma Anderson.

Date of Birth- August 18 1740

Date of Death- October 4 1768

Gemma Anderson wasnt the name she had been given at birth, just one of many she had had over the centuries, and her latest name. Her family had taken a ship from England to the American colonies, like most families, looking for a new life, new opportunities. Her parents were traders, and made quite a life for themselves, and had such high hopes for their first daughter. They had settled in Boston, supplying the British army during the  seven years war. They had wanted her to marry a promising Lieutenant in the British army, but she had had her eye on someone else, a newcomer to the city that intreagued her, knew the ways to coax her in, sneak her out, and late one night, told her what he was.

She had panicked at first, and tried to run, but didnt get too far before he had caught her, drained her, then had her taste his blood, feeding on him to complete the embrace. She didnt know what had happened to her, not until strangers bundled her into a carriage and took her to one of the cities most influential citizens, did she find out the truth, that she was now a vampire, something that couldnt be undone. She could have no contact with her family ever again, never, something that caused her more sorrow. Her sire was a newcomer, a Toreador who couldnt control himself, and for that, he was executed as only a Kindred can be. She had been spared on orders from the cities Prince, and given a chance to prove herself, to prove that she could be a good Kindred.

She had been moved out of the city,  to a place where no one she knew could find her, and her education had continued by those of her new clan. She had moved up the ranks, taking on more responsibility, and embraced her first human 40 years after she herself had been embraced. She felt pleasure when she embraced someone with a gift for music, or dance, or any creativity that couldnt be allowed to die with its owner. Embracing her clans nature, she worked to add numbers, and in 1950, moved to the city of New York to become the cities Toreador Primogen.

Taking over ownership of a strip club, the Cat Scratch, she ran it efficently, building up its clientelle, the girls, everything possible to turn it into a success in the city, welcoming any who came, be they human or Kindred. She looked after her girls, stepping in when she had to, content to run the club and nurture creativity while the Ventrue ran the city.

Here we go, Jinxy, one Background belonging to the Nosferatu Primogen.

~||~

Background of Gerald Maxwell

DoB : 17 June 1960
DoD : 24 December 1986

Gerald was the only child of Steven and Mary Maxwell, mainly due to health issues during the pregnancy, his parents opted to play it safe and not risk Mary's health, or life, trying to have a second child. His father was a workaholic, and very results driven in his work as an engineer. Gerald's mother was a woman who never completed school, and felt that she was held back by her lack of formal education. Between the two, Gerald had a strong work ethic when it came to his school work. Due to his studious nature, his social skills we found to be lacking. As he grew older, he took to dealing with people as he would dealing with any other challenge, problem or issue – he was formal and straight to the point. If he had been tested, he would have been found to be a high functioning Autistic.

As he reached the end of high school, Gerald found out about computers, and the means of programming them to perform repetitive tasks. His grasp of mathematics made it easier for him to put together the algorithms and understand the logic involved. His further studies of the underlying hardware, or how the CPU processed the instructions revealed secrets on how to efficiently put together his code. He expanded this knowledge to other devices, such as disk drives, again to be able to use all manner of little tricks to make his work more robust.

He went to university, going into Computer Science like a fish to water, and at the end of his degree, he had a perfect academic record. Rather than going to work for a major corporation, he secured a couple of different personal computers and started developing software that would be useful on those platforms, while also doing maintenance work of mainframe and mini computers for other companies.

In his spare time, Gerald read up on APRPANET, and the technologies it relied on, and became very interested in the fledgling network. What he was unaware of was that there was someone else who saw the same potential but from a totally different angle. Gerald was contacted by a fellow enthusiast by the name of Gordon Trifeld. The two traded messages on bulletin boards, then private messages and emails before moving to phone conversations and finally meeting in person. Gerald was impressed by the intelligence of foresight Gordon showed concerning the technology, even though he confessed to finding the changes happening a little too fast for his liking and ability to keep up with. But in turn, Gordon was impressed with Gerald's abilities with computers, and listened raptly whenever Gordon went into details about what was of interest.

Gordon thanked Gerald by giving him a Christmas present; he embraced Gerald and brought him and his capabilities into the clan. Gerald came through the transformation in the early hours of Jan 1, 1987, and didn't know whether to be happy or pissed off.

Gerald took to his new condition easily, while maintaining his normal business operations with the exception of personal appearances and phone calls. But then, his talents were employed to assist the clan, as well as other kindred so his income didn't suffer from the change in his “sleep cycle”.

As he worked the information exchange in the same manner as the rest of his clan, he also learned a few tricks from other clans. In particular, he saw how the Ventrue worked in regard to their influence of the business community, and how they also arranged their control and financial aspects. Armed with this knowledge, he found a pair of companies and invested in them. Eventually, through his influence, the names of the companies changed, as well as the primary focus of the business models until they fitted his desires. Thus were Informed Sources, a market research company, and Secure Disposals, a waste management company for highly sensitive documentation, were formed. While his name, nor any alias of his shows up in the staff listings, he has ensured that he has access to the premises and their IT systems so he can make use of them at any time.

Gerald has a rare ability, in that his powers of Obfuscation work on any recording devices. He is aware of that ability, which he puts down to his deep knowledge of electronic devices, coupled with his unshakable belief that the same very knowledge allows to his mind to strengthen the vampiric power to fool equipment that other users of the power can't.

Gerald keeps himself up to date with the hardware as well as software tools available to make the machines work, as well as communicate. He still enjoys “coding on bare metal”, or using the CPU's own instruction set to create applications rather than use some higher level languages, but he will use those languages from time to time.

Given his generation, and his normal social activities, Gerald is not well known amongst the rank and file members of the Camarilla, but amongst his fellow Elders, his name and deeds are well known.

Maybe the non-primogen could jockey for that position IC? It would spark some roleplay and give the clans a goal to try and secure that prestigious position for their clan?

As the only child of well known laywer Jeremiah Blackwood and his wife Mary-Louise LaVeau from New Orleans, Elise grew up in a relative wealthy environment. Used to getting her own way she refused to attend college after high school, which led to a temporary estrangement with her father. Her mother, more in tune with people's natures, encouraged Elise to find her own path which she found in the art of cooking. What started as indulging in exquisite comfort food for friends and family quickly grew into more than a hobby. She attended courses at the institute of culinary education in New York, but left when an internship at The London opened. She completed her education as a chef under tutelage of expert chefs and worked as a sous chef for various restaurants before she opened her own restaurant La Boheme.

Although Elise has had various boyfriends, her relationships tend to get stuck at the friendship level as she simply spends too much time on her work. Perhaps if she ever meets someone who can match her passion and drive, she may enjoy more than a fleeting affair or one-night-stand, but for now that's not in the cards. This is a cause of regret for her, but she accepts it as the price for her success. Sometimes, although not often, she misses having someone special and she hates being reminded of it. For that reason she enjoys working during the holiday season and she dislikes Valentines day, although La Boheme does serve a special lovers menu for Valentines. It's the only day when Elise isn't at La Boheme overseeing the kitchen.

As owner of her own business Elise has precious little spare time but what little she has is spent in the company of friends. She also enjoys some fame, not only as a chef, but also due to her guest starring in Masterchef. Her restaurant is best known for its french/spanish cuisine, with a hint of eccentric, gypsy flavor. Aside from her pursuits as a chef, Elise enjoys flirting, parties. As La Boheme has recently been awarded with a Michelin star, Elise is used to burning midnight oil, and she is used to a schedule of sleeping in the mornings, and getting ready for work near lunch time when La Boheme opens. Between lunch and dinner are her precious free hours, which are often spent with shopping.

The first impression of Elise is that of a shallow person who enjoys her fame. But those who see her now often forget the dedication, hard work and talent that brought Elise to her current fame. Underneath the pretty facade lays a strong-willed individual used to getting what she wants.

Re Z L

Emilien Vespasien
The Wasp
10th Generation Ravnos

Background:
Born in Europe in the 1700s Emilien--or whatever his name was back in those days--lived as little more than a thief.  Part of a family of Romani in France, he earned his keep helping to perform long cons, or picking pockets.  They travelled, as was common for their people, mostly due to being unwanted in any city where they happened to stay near.  He grew to know the French countryside quite well, and the personalities of the different cities even better.

As if stealing wasn't vice enough, he quickly fell into a habit of gambling which, on more than one occasion, got him into plenty of trouble.  It wasn't uncommon to quickly leave a city after he'd run up just a little too much debt.  Luckily it was easy for him to hide.

When he had finally grown into a man, another Romani group set up their own camp not too far from theirs.  Whispers of Shilmulo spread through their own camp, though he did not know what it meant.  Eventually the curiosity got to him and he investigated the other camp under the cover of night.  Strangely the other camp had no large fire in the center to help keep warm, only the eery glow of oil lamps casting flickering shadows in every direction.  Before he even knew someone was there, a man with cool skin and a firm grip--like stone--took him by the wrist to see who he was.  With a quick tongue Emilien was able to abate the Shilmulo's suspicions and they got to talking for a short while before Emilien returned home.

Emilien began to run into the man from the previous night by coincidence throughout the city, though he didn't think too much about it.  They both seemed to travel in similar circles after all.  When he'd gotten into trouble gambling once again it was an even more welcome coincidence that the Shilmulo appeared to help him escape.  It was then that he explained to Emilien what the Shilmulo were and offered him the opportunity to join the family of Ravnos.

Immortality, at any price, is a difficult offer to pass by.

He appeared within Kindred society off and on over the next few decades until he decided that Europe had become to inimical to his presence.  Luckily for him the country of America had proclaimed rebellion against its former European masters and offered a new land to explore.

As an immigrant in New York he worked amongst the gangs attempting to seize control of the city.  Journeying to the south he found a new home in the French speaking communities, and a new culture that was slowly evolving.  Hiding in the countryside of the mid-west he found new places to explore and things that others would probably never see.  During the prohibition he supplied alcohol from Canada before moving to the South and helping spur on the creation of Moonshine (his own invention if you'd believe him).  Back to New York to control his own hidden gambling club.  Escaping to the heart of Cajun Land after being found out in New York.

Eventually he found his way back to New York during its rule by the Sabbat and fell in with them.  It wasn't that he felt that they were right, he just didn't want to be killed for being an independant in Sabbat territory--and he was quite fond of New York.  It took some work, but he managed to outmaneuver a Lasombra and took over her club called "Shadows".  Of course he sympathized with a number of Sabbat ideologies, but knew that their methods and goals weren't really very effective.  It didn't surprise him too much when the Camarilla eventually came to oust the rebellious Kindred.

Maybe they knew he wasn't entirely convinced by the Sabbat, or maybe they just thought he was vulnerable.  The Camarilla eventually contacted him and he agreed to give them a hand, in secret, if they let him stay and join them when they moved into power.

Still alive and still owner of Shadows, Emilien still is untrusted by the Camarilla who now control the city, and he still expresses some sympathy towards certain Sabbat ideologies.  Its just a matter of time until someone decides he's lived out his usefulness, or until he's finally proven himself to the Camarilla.  Of course none of that really matters to him, he's having a grand time enjoying the chaos unfolding around him.

Personality:
Concerened primarily with his own well-being and whatever it is that amuses him at the time.  Just the same, he can be a particularly loyal companion to people he considers friends (or property).  Money isn't his real concern, if anything its just a means to an end.  A rogue, a liar, a gambler, he is easy to goad into challenges if one knows what buttons to push.  He has an even temper and doesn't back down easily from intimidation of any kind.  Willful and individualistic, he isn't concerned about the status quo, or what he's supposed to do as a member of any larger organization.

Appearance:
Olive-tan skin, russet colored hair, and dark eyes.  His hair is kept long, just over his shoulders, his face perpetually unshaven though with a thicker collection of stubble in the shape of the shadow of a goatee.  Fit and toned body, despite his lacadaisical attitude towards exercise and remaining fit--not that he has much to worry about as a Vampire.  Just under six feet tall, he still seems to command a certain presence which makes him difficult to miss.

Ranking goes like this.
Prince
City Prim
Clan Prim
Clan members
Ghouls
and everyone else.
This isn't totally by the book as much as we would all love it to be. It can be a tad hard to do it like that.. I've learn that one the hard way.

That opens up a lot of questions about this setting then :) How do Setites/Assamites or other unaligned clans fit in with the politics, etc?

AndyZ

Ah, okay.  Well, there's some differences but not too many.

I still doubt I'll have a char fully set before Wednesday.

I totally forgot!
I've been soo bleh and every where that I had meant to remove them and keep basically all Cam clans in.

Scratch the Settie Prim thing and stuff. *goes to fix her screw up*

Re Z L

Traditionally only the primary Camarilla clans have their own primogens (Malk, Brujah, Nos, Tor, Ven, Trem, Gang).  A Prince would be free to appoint other Primogens, but that would probably be looked disfavorably upon by any outside.

Independents have been members of the Camarilla, but typically their presence in a Camarilla city is pretty negligible, so they don't get their own representative to the Prince (a la Primogen).  And sometimes independents may be taken under another clan's Primogen if that clan decides to take responsibility for them (though that'd be pretty rare).

Whatever way we do it is fine by me--though I'm not going to be playing a Primogen  ;D

I've been using 20th Anniversary for my stuff.
A&A

marauder13

Personally, I think only Camarilla clans should have primogen. Any of the other clans, since they are not members, would not be in the political hierarchy.

Also, I believe that unaligned clans, and caitiff should be tolerated unless they serve some useful purpose.

The above are my opinions, and having said what I have, I will go with the final decision of Jinxy regarding how the city works.

Jinxy

Fix.
I do agree that only the Cam clans will have Primogens.

As for the unaligned clans are welcomed in the game..

Show of hands on who thinks I should start tonight?!

Oh and where does everyone feel this thread should be under? Cause I just don't know!

I thought about Extreme just to be safe and cover everything.

Orange Marmalade

Considering there's the possibility of garou, non-con, blood, Tzimisce, and other things... maybe best to head all the way to the top? :) errr bottom?

And yes tonight!

Wolfling72

I would go extreme simply because there will definitely be deaths, probably gore as well as other sorts of brutal fun (especially if one were to have reason to frenzy.) That way any eventuality is covered.

I want to start tonight BUT...I have to be up at 530 in the morning to pull another 10 hour shift SO I will abstain from voting.
