Sidney has two speeds, driven and downtime, with the latter being allowed the bare minimum time slotted in her busy schedule. Her life is structured, with each moment being accounted for and carefully scheduled in her pocket diary, a book roughly the size of a small telephone book. Although she is well schooled in todays technology, Sidney prefers the more personal touch of a hand written note rather than the impersonal electronic calendar. It was that love of the written word that had her turning towards newspapers rather than the more glamorous television broadcasting when picking her career path.   

Driven: Sidney is dedicated to reaching and holding onto perfection. Her hard work at school paid off with awarding Sidney with the honor roll each and every year starting from elementary school and ending with highest honors awarded as well as being named as the valedictorian for her graduation year from McGill University. Sidney firmly believes that there is nothing that she cannot achieve if she is willing to work hard enough for it.

The softer side: When she allows time for herself, Sidney has a romantic side that she hides well, not to mention an obsession with long, hot, bubble baths, soft music and a glass or two of champagne. Unable to allow herself the luxury of a relationship (at the moment) she turns to the written word, indulging herself in romantic novels to fill the small part of her soul that stubbornly clings to the idea of a true love, even though her more cynical side mocks the very idea.

Socially, Sidney has absolutely no issues with “networking” with colleagues and potential connections that may help her climb higher on the ladder towards success. She tried dating while in university, however her dedication to her school work left her little time to offer him and so the relationship suffered and died before it really had time to blossom. She has since convinced herself that she just wasn’t made for that kind of connection and has chosen to push the disappointment of her one and only failure to the side and focus on what she feels is more important.


Background:

Growing up in Montreal (Quebec) Sidney was born into a family of overachievers. Her Great Grandfather was one of the first fur traders in the province of Quebec, making millions throughout his life time. Her Grandmother as well as her mother was both crowned Beauty Queens, each one heading up successful charity foundations that gave back to their community. Her father matched the other members of the family, and in many ways superseded them with a successful career as an anchor for the CBC News.

An only child, Sidney was doted on by a nanny who had a penchant for romantic black and white movies, and often spent her only day off (Sunday) cuddling Sidney as the two of them watched the charming movies, hence planting the seed of romance in the impressionable girls mind. With parents that were as busy on the social scene as they were in their careers, Sidney had very little friends and so Nanny Jolie quickly became her world. Though the need to impress and please her parents drove her competitive side to push down the flighty romantic dreams, she never completely let go of the idea of love.

It was hard for her to make friends growing up, and even in her early years at university. Her focus on school and the need to meet her family’s lofty expectations allowed Sidney to push down the loneliness that surrounded her growing up. She learned to prioritize what was important, believing that education came first, then establishing her career and then…if there was time, a personal life. She refused to believe that fear of rejection had anything to do with it! She was simply being logical in plotting out her life! After all…with a plan in place life would run smoothly…or so she thought.

The only sexual experiences she has had were less than satisfactory, leaving Sidney to wonder exactly what all the fuss is about! That was until one brave young man took the control from her and gave her an experience that both scared her and turned her on greatly! Being a controlling person in her career, she can come off as a bit of a ball-breaker leaving some men to wonder if she might not just need a good fuck. The one time she gave up control scared her enough that she gasped the reins of her life that much harder. 

In short, a strong man would turn her on, where a man that cowed to her would not.

Hey everyone!  I am now less restrained and am working on a character.  The concept would be that of a university professor (or other staff member) prior to his vaccination.  Would love to work out a romantic history with one or (at most) two students (completely okay with them having broken up or be together).  Am currently moving towards Ed Norton for the model.  Any takers?

Personality:  Quentin is a very serious and studious individual.  He appears calm in court and in life, and is seldom incited into expressing an emotion.  He is stern with his clients and family.  Due to his work in the field of civil rights, he is a rather polarizing figure in the city.  Intelligent, calculating and emotionally unavailable, he is in an intimidating figure in the legal system.  Though he plays up the "family man" card, he is actually a philanderer, using his position of power and wealth to take advantage of young women.

Background:  Quentin was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, to a family of lawyers.  He attained a degree in Political Science from Harvard University, and then attended the Southern Law Center in Baton Rouge to acquire his doctorate in law.  He pledged Omega Psi Phi.  He passed the bar on his first try, and successfully entered into politics, serving the state of _______ as a state representative for a mostly black district.  Afterwards, he started a small law firm that served the underprivileged of all races.  He made a name for himself for successfully pursuing criminal charges against corrupt police officers who infringed the civil rights of his clients.  He's such a big deal that agencies will often choose to settle immediately when he registers his name as acting council for the plaintiff with the court.

He married his college sweetheart and the two have three beautiful kids -- one of whom will be entering Ole Miss's football program.  Though he has a happy marriage, Quentin would be unhappy if he weren't a philanderer.  He frequents strip clubs, hires escorts and has numerous affairs in the year.  He has a mistress, bangs the secretary and will often accept sex in lieu of payment from female clients (or male client's relatives).

So I have this crazy concept and wanted to know if it was viable.

I am thinking someone who has been in a coma for a long time, enough that he wakes up in a world he does not even recognize.

He is one who is given the "tainted" flu shots and is surprised when atrophy has not really affected his body (most likely due to the flu shot).

Something he hides, I am looking to start in a hospital and remain there for a time until he "reacquaints" himself with the modern world.

I don't expect my character to roll out of bed and be able to walk. I think he will still be uncoordinated and will be spending some time in rehab. But I have a feeling the strength option would help significantly.

As he goes to rehab, his muscles just surpass all the "basic" routine his PT sets for him.

Personality: Cinnamon's easy-going, loyal and trustworthy. She is an idealist who wants to make a world a better place. Generally outgoing in demeanour, she nonetheless tends  to keep her troubles to herself, prefering to find solutions on her own. She is independent to a fault, and can be quite stubborn. She can be naive and wishes to see the best in people, even when faced with darker streaks in their character.

Background: Cinnamon is the youngest daughter of Elizabeth and Jefferson Sands. Her parents run a real estate agency in town, which has always provided the family with a solid income. She is the youngest of three daughters. Her eldest sister, Poppy, works as a kindergarten teacher in NY and her other sister, Camille, currently resides in Paris, France where she works as a hostess. Cinnamon's dreams lay closer to home. After college she wants to become full employed at the animal shelter where she volunteers, in order to acquire the necessary skills to open a pet shop in the future.

With the two elder sisters having moved out of town, her parents weren't too happy when Cinnamon moved into an appartment which she shares with two female friends. They hope their daughter will change her mind and move back in, and thus they weren't pleased when she found a part-time job as a waitress. Not only do her parents feel her job is beneath her, it also diminished their chances of seeing their youngest return home.

On her end, Cinnamon has no intention of returning home. She enjoys a freedom she's never known and she indulges herself with flirting. Cinnamon quite enjoys sensuality in all its forms and admires the male and female body. While she is drawn more towards men, she does understand their fascination with the female body only too well. She isn't jealous, and the one time her roommate seduced Cinnamon's date, they had a laugh over it at morning coffee.

Hobbies and Interests: Aside from her work at the shelter Cinnamon enjoys reading, hiking and camping. She also enjoys photography and owns a digital camera but her pictures are decent amateur material at best, suitable for facebook but not much else. Every now and then she goes to the movies with two friends, Marty and William with who she enjoys a complicated relationship. If one were to ask William he'd claim he and Cinnamon were an item, where Cinnamon defines herself as a happy single and Marty might well call Cinnamon a good friend.

Personality: Julie has a very warm presence, always smiling and laughs easily. She's kind and does have a gentle side but what most people get to know is a bit bossy lady with a mind of her own, drive and determination to reach her goals, and the ability to do so with a smile on her face and a kind word to those who earn it. She's careful of trusting others but once you gain her trust she's as loyal as they come, passionate in her defence of friends and family.

With a rich sense of justice, Julie runs a fair and supportive workplace and is definitely that person who steps into a situation she witnesses to help a stranger out. She rewards hard work and dedication however she can, be it with bonuses on pay checks or whatever appropriate for the circumstances. This includes her personal life, where trustworthy friends have her full support and those who do her good are always repaid in kindness and good will. On the flip side: screw her over and she won't forget it. Being a jerk to this woman will not get you anywhere, no matter how confident or handsome you happen to be.

When it comes to love and passions... Well she's of Irish blood. She loves and lusts wildly, and is a sensual creature in both movement and character. Not so much flirty (or slutty, for that matter), but more a constant hint of sensuality. Smooth movements in tune with her generous curves, affectionate touches in tune with her warm laughter.

Background: Daughter of a second generation Irish American and a southern belle, little sister to four energetic boys, Julie grew up in a very lively household. They didn't have much money after her grandfather's business was bankrupt, aka her mother's relatively large income source, and her father worked long hours to keep their heads above water. Her mother has never abandoned her values, the picture perfect outward face, the perfect homemaker, mother and wife. Of course, when money was tight and this was more a charade than anything real, it only added to the turmoil Julie experienced at home. There was never any violence or abuse, but there were loud fights and never a dull moment. She can't count the times her father ended up on the doorstep in front of a locked door and an order to never set foot in the house again. Those times always ended with passionate forgiveness of the sort the siblings chose to hide from by means of earplugs or really loud cartoons in the living room. Some things you just don't want to hear your parents do, no matter how much it sounds like they enjoy it... But there was love, and plenty of it.

Working as a chef was Julie's dream, and she reached that goal after educating herself. She worked as a chef in a restaurant for a year before she got an opportunity to take over a small place downtown, which she turned into a lovely little gourmet restaurant, Caleo.  She has a staff of a few waiters, a couple of chefs and head chef, and a hostess. Caleo's trademark is the comfortable and cozy atmosphere since the floor is literally tiny with only room for five tables and booths in two corners. Reserving a table at the moment puts you on a waitlist of two months, give or take. Her own work is more office related than actual kitchen work these days, and she misses it a little. She does fill her days with charity work a few times a month, walking the wards of local hospitals with tasty treats for the patients and staff.

Wings form (black feathered ones), and the Deviation now has the ability to glide. Sustained hovering is not possible.

Taken from the last progress report he was sent home with when he was twelve years old
"John" is a well behaved boy who is very active and enjoys participating in sports. He is always looking to help around the class room and always turns in his homework on time.

Background:
Very little information remains on "John Doe" and the reason he was in town. A few facts dating back to the police report. A family of three were brought in early one morning after a horrible accident involving a drunk driver. Both parents died a few days later and a comatose son remained. "John" only had one living relative, a grandfather in a nursing facility. In time, the papers were lost, mishandled and he was transferred from hospital to hospital in a permanent coma.

(More of the background will surface over time, but for now he will remain a person with no name, no past and no family)

Current Status- "John Doe" Was give a Flu shot after a recent blood test showed his failing immunity system. He was moved to one of the lower rooms that requires little care, with the sudden change in his health, people are assuming he won't be living much longer.

Full Amnesia- No chance of his memory returning.

Personality: Kyle is the good-natured sweetheart of his social group, often going out of his way for others or stretching himself too thin to make time for everyone. He is honest to a fault, and contains a seemingly endless supply of empathy and compassion. Though often socially awkward or quiet, he still embodies kindness and is never afraid to stand up for others who can't or won't, and never thinks twice about saving someone's life despite their deeds.

Background: Born Kyle Ryan Adams to a lower-middle class family in Ohio, Kyle was an average kid. He did somewhat well in school, excelled at most of his extracurricular activities, and even won a few cheap trophies. School flew by and Kyle soon found himself graduating highschool, jumping through the all-too-familiar hoops of higher education. Even when given all of the freedom college afford, he was a creature of habit. He slaved over difficult projects and homework until he finally gave up on his dream of being a doctor and settled for being a nurse.

Suddenly faced with the responsibilities of being an adult and his crushing school loans, Kyle moves into a tiny, pest infested apartment. It was here that he began to accumulate tutoring clients, allowing him to quickly save money and afford a better place. Using his wit and slow-showing charm, Kyle quickly landed a job at a nearby hospital. After months of menial duties and only a handful of even remotely meaningful communications with his peers, he notices a job opening in the ER. He applies with low expectations, and manages to garner some well written recommendations from his coworkers that allows him to take the position.

Now four years older and much more prepared for the surprises of an emergency room, Kyle carves out his own niche existence. Though well known in the academic and medical community, Kyle keeps to a small, close - knit group of friends.

Hobbies and Interests: Kyle is a classic nerd at heart, often spending his time reading comics, textbooks, newspapers, or otherwise. He also spends a fair amount of time teaching, has a mild interest in bowling, and practices Aikido.
