I don't mind having a changing cast of characters. Characters who stop posting will be construed as having "left" the membership/employ of Incubus, Inc. Since recruitment doesn't close, don't worry if there are a lot of posts here. You're still welcome to inquire.

Hello, fellow RPers. Here I am with a very “sandboxy” RP idea. This is an all-male character group—you don't have to be male yourself to get in, but your character does need to be male to be approved. The idea is simple: an incubus from Hell has designed a strange business called Incubus, Inc. What is this company? What does it do?

It's a cover for the demon. He needs semen to survive, and he takes that from human lovers. After ruthlessly using every partner he can get his hands on, the incubus known as Daeron acquired enough capital to begin his business. The business openly functions as a “dating” business, akin to websites like E-Harmony or speed-dating places just for men, having both an online section and an on-site location when speed-dating sessions are organized, and there's at least one private hotel residence used by members of Incubus, Inc., but Daeron ultimately arranges for the men he's intrigued by to encounter him in some way. He has no choice. He will die and his soul will be flung back into Hell again if he doesn't get semen every three days.

His business grew beyond what he could ever imagine. Men will pay for anything nowadays. Now he's drawing unsuspecting men into lives of lust and debauchery, his favorite little sins, and they're not necessarily finding those things with Daeron. Daeron can't get to everyone, obviously. He hired escorts to help him for a reason. But any customer of Incubus, Inc. that finds out the real reason it was made would never be believed anyway if he told, and people who end up disliking the company or try to redeem themselves are just seen as people who just can't get a date by prospective customers of the company. Ultimately, Daeron is struggling for survival and hoping to claim the souls of every man he encounters, mortal or supernatural.

It's working far better than Daeron ever hoped. Normal members see the company as a place to find quick and easy companionship. The company isn't advertised as an escort service, but the company is located in the delectable and colorful Las Vegas, so every member that comes in knows he's looking essentially at a very classy brothel for men only.



I would be looking for the following types of characters:
*Escorts who work for Incubus, Inc. These escorts likely know Daeron in some way. (really don't need more of these right now) (preferably switches or doms rather than subs)
*Men who are members of Incubus, Inc. They may or may not know Daeron. (We need more of these)
*Prospective members of Incubus, Inc. They definitely don't know Daeron yet. (STILL LOOKING)
*Staff and employees who manage the online site (recruiting new members) and run the speed-dating places. (I'd love to have more of these)
Items in red are things that we really need.

*As far as playing supernatural beings, right now I'm permitting the following: angelic beings, demonic beings, half-breeds, mythological based beings (must look very human in appearance).  I might consider shape-shifters, if you have a good concept.

I permit magic users, but they must have acquired their magic via a contract or agreement with a demon or angel who provides that power. Magic should be used very sparingly.

But anthro/furry characters are a "no," and "futanari/hermaphrodites" are a "no."

This RP is in the Non-con area for now. I do have an idea for a character sheet. I can give you an example using the incubus himself:

Age: N/A. (You may safely assume he is five centuries old, though). He has ceased to age, and time has no meaning for him. People may assume his age to be what they like, so long as they believe him to be eighteen or up.
Height: 5'6”

Daeron is lithe and small, but he has an intensity and gentility in his eyes that suggests a confidence about him. His hair is black; his eyes are a cold red-black. He has a pair of curved smooth horns jutting up from his head, and he has very small black claws. He looks small but strong. He can hide his wings and horns for a small amount of time, usually through great effort, but he literally must reshape his body and force those things back within him. If he tries to keep them in too long, they'll burst out and hurt him, so he has to be careful how long he keeps himself “in disguise.”

Race: Demon, specifically an Incubus. Daeron must steal the semen of normal men to survive. WIthout a sizeable dose of semen every three days, his demonic body will perish, banishing his soul back to Hell. He can accquire it just about any way he can think of--by being penetrated, giving oral, giving oral to a woman who had unprotected sex with a man. He's creative. He'll do what it takes to get that next fix, that next meal.

Personality: He's wily. Not only that, but he always has a plan for his next sexual encounter. His first thought, upon meeting a new person, is "Is that peson fuckable?" He is disturbingly intelligent, and he's arrogant beyond any real comparison. Daeron truly believes that he knows what you're thinking. And if he doesn't, he's sure that within the next few seconds, when he touches you, that you'll be thinking about him. But there's an insecurity there that drives his insatiable need for control--he must control others, or he could die and go back to Hell. His entire existence is dependent on controlling others sexually, whether he tops or bottoms. This is why he's donimant.

History:   Daeron died a long time ago, and he went straight to Hell. His sin was Lust. Not exactly lust for sex, although he did like sex. No, he lusted for love he could never attain, and he took that love by force, murdering his best friend's wife in order to have the man of his dreams. He didn't do it out of wrath or envy. He wasn't angry. He wasn't jealous. But he knew that he would never have the man he loved so long as that man was married. The solution seemed obvious. He lived a happy life with a man who never really loved him back. After his death and recreation as an incubus, Daeron has become obsessed with staying alive, and therefore obsessed with sex. It's his eternal punishment.

He has continued on as an incubus to this day. He has died one other time and been banished back to Hell by a married man courageous enough to tie him up and keep him isolated for three days, but Daeron thinks he's learned from this mistake, and his superiors, after rounds of torture, believe the same. Now Daeron is in the modern world, and he developed a history of loving men and leaving them, and the last string of men, all from New York City, found themselves robbed blind by the incubus, and a few weeks later in Las Vegas, Incubus, Inc. was born. A couple of years later, it expanded beyond his wildest dreams, and Daeron sees business from nearly every part of the world, men willing to fly out to  the company just for a chance at some affection.

I hope to be about as active as any other person in the group, but there won't be a strong need to have a "game master" or someone dictating any real plot. Plot will happen when characters are motivated to be in this place and meet new people. That's all you need. They can scheme, have personal tragedy happen, fall in or out of love, or maybe even fight one another over something. Escorts can fall in love with members/customers or employees, employees might end up falling for customers or escorts, etc. And there's the incubus, lurking...

Example of writing

The incubus lingered in the main offices of Incubus, Inc. His black hair hung in his eyes; he was despondent. Two days without drinking a man's come. How long until he died? It would be a matter of hours. He sat in his black leather office chair, his cock hard between his legs, his whole body thirsty and dry and full of need. The moon reflected through the dark windowpanes of his office, glinting on the curve of his horns, turning his wings into sharp black silhouettes. It was dark in the office excepting the moonlight and the red glimmer of lust and anger in Daeron's eyes.

After a few minutes of focus, the wings began to shrink and meld into his back, the horns curling downward and hiding in his very skull. He could hide these for a few hours, maybe six at the most. And if he couldn't find a man within that time frame, he deserved to go to Hell.

He journeyed down to the main lobby of the building, ten floors down with the sleek all-glass elevator, where the speed dating was done. They had nightly sessions of it. A lot of members repeatedly came back for chances at more sex, consistent or anonymous. The main floor had the solid mahogany help desk, complete with a trim fit receptionist there to answer questions and direct. The floor was made of polished black marble, and the windows were tinted glass. Daeron liked to have some light within this place, but he certainly disliked peeping toms. He couldn't fuck a peeping tom.

The windows let in moonlight down here, but hardly any, for the lights here were bright and opening, and just a little sleazy, casting a soft red-golden glow over the lobby. Behind the receptionist's desk were the double doors to the “Grand Ballroom” where potential members, new clients, and employees mingled. Those double black and gold doors concealed a world of greed, power mongering, and struggle. It intrigued the incubus. Desire was not just sexual, after all. Many of the rich men who came here already had succumbed to lust, in a way. Lust for power and control.

He closed his eyes as he went to the double doors. They were full of promise, full of beauty, and behind them rested his very life in between the legs of so many unknown men. Horrible to depend on the vice of strangers, and yet so deliciously appealing.

He pushed open the doors to reveal a grand ballroom, which was normally decked out more subtly to accommodate large social business functions or meetings with employees and staff, but when the customers were here, it was another story. Grand black and white tinted windows flourished here, shaped in arches and divided out to resemble monochrome stained glass. The floor was black marble as well, but the walls were a soft white. This allowed Daeron to shift the lighting to nearly anything he liked, and right now, the lighting alternated red and gold here as well as the lobby. There was something erotic about red and gold, the colors of blood and money. A large waterfall and koi pond rested in the back of the room.

Tables dotted the area, covered in fruits and cheeses and other little snacks and appetizers to appease the less lusty desires of the customers. And of course, there were the men here. The handsome men, the rugged ones, the sweet and innocent ones, sometimes the virginal ones.

Daeron felt like a child in a candy store. So many options. And he knew he wasn't the only one who felt like this. They all did, or they wouldn't be here...

Magic:
Humans can be "enabled" to use magic by demons if they enter a ritualistic contract with a demon. This also applies to angels making contracts. This puts magic mostly in the control of demons and will keeps humans ordinary at first, but angels and demons and etc. are free to make bargains to allow access to magic. And of course, humans should initially be able to sensitive to magic and have access to power that can "summon" a being of magic (demons, angels, etc.) to talk to.

And if a mortal doesn't fulfill a bargain with such a creature...well, there are consequences. In the case of a demon, loss of magic, and loss of a soul. Demons already have consequences for their powers. Ex: In Daeron's case, yes, he has magic, but if he's not screwing around every three days, he literally dies. Other demons will suffer such drawbacks.

The Incubi:
Incubi "feed" on semen; as long as they acquire a way to input semen into their bodies, they can sustain their living forms and avoid banishment back to Hell. The reason for this is currently unknown. But there are a few things unique to incubi--they do not ejaculate semen unless they've acquired an excess amount of semen from other partners, since incubi don't produce it on their own. What they ejaculate seems to be a clear fluid, not sticky, not really anything, that bespeaks the fact they haven't "eaten" in a while. Some incubi can acquire more luxurious nourishment, sometimes from emotions, sometimes from particular acts or deeds, but ultimately, to stay in a living body, they must have semen.

Incubi can use limited magic. Essentially, they specialize in moderate shapeshifting (hiding their true forms or sometimes taking on a single non-human form like an animal), powerful illusions that do not affect the pure (such as the innocent or angels), and they may teleport to any locale they know of that is "unhallowed." Incubi may not use any form of magic to "coerce" others--like mind control, etc. They may not use any magic that outright murders or seriously maims anyone--that is not their province; that is the province of demons of wrath and pride. They can use magic that relies on subtlety and deception with ease.

Employees: For employees, I can suggest a few types. We need someone to run the registration/reception desk, a secretary, financial team members (like accountants, etc.), and security personnel. I'm open to other ideas for employee-types.

Escorts: As for escorts, while I'm open to a variety of suggestions and types, escorts aged between 30 and 40 would be interesting.

Members/New Members: You could almost go any direction with this. Crime, royalty, law enforcement, CEOs, stockbrokers, famous musicians and artists, etc. Do they make money? Then it's feasible.

New! Non-member concepts: Not a member of the club, and only going to a ballroom speed-dating gig? An up-front fee permits non-members access to the main floor. I'd love to see some law enforcement here, perhaps undercover *sniker* investigators of some sort. FBI or IRS could conceivably become involved, due to Daeron's identity theft of several wealthy people.



If you are interested, please post a prospective character sheet here, or PM me one. This will be very sandboxy; I don't want to have to run it personally every day. I want to focus on how people interact. The sex is important, but so are the characters as people. Hopefully, if I have enough people, I will have a thread just for character sheets, an OOC thread, and maybe two IC threads--one for the speed dating area, and one for the private hotel used by those utilizing services of the company. Suggestions? Comments? Questions?

EDIT: Important note. Posts should be larger than a few sentences. I'm looking to explore emotional depth, character growth, supernatural elements, sexual elements, and likely characters' backgrounds and history. Be willing to write a full five to seven sentence paragraph with reasonable grammar, punctuation, and spelling. As you can see from my writing sample, my posts will be larger than a paragraph.

Updated list of players! This is accurate and up to date at the moment. It only lists what these individuals applied with for playing their first characters. Some are playing second characters, but I do not feel the need to list those here. The RP is getting more consistent, although the posting rate is a tad sow, and I'd like to state that while I'm accepting new members, I'm going to be a bit more strict about who I'm letting in. Detailed CSes are a sign that you take the time out to be careful,write well, and think meticulously, so excellent CSes are likely to get you in if you wrote well or had a very good idea, if you're worried about your posting history or writing. Unfortunately, size does matter, and if you only wrote a line or two about personality and history, I'm not interested. This is a large freeform RP, very sandboxy, and personal backgrounds and personality are what drive the game.

One more thing: Posting in the OOC means you're permitted to post in either IC when they're up...and at least one should be up today. If you didn't post in the OOC and you post in the IC, I'll boot you. Courtesy demands at least some interest in the other players, after all.

QUESTIONS I HAVE RECENTLY ANSWERED:
I've gotten a question or two from interested parties about whether people need to read the entire OOC or IC (there are three ICs) to get in—the answer is a definite “no” for the OOC. You must, however, to read the first OOC post and address what's in that. As for the IC, it could be very helpful to read if you want a vague idea how we seem to be getting along, so I encourage skimming it, particularly the tags in order to see where people are at. The OOC will have important updates in the first post so you don't have to read the entire thing. Ever.

Another question I had that I felt I should answer here was: is there a posting order for Incubus, Inc?

Hell no. I've got waaaaaay too many players with multiple characters who post at different speeds for a posting order. You post when you feel like it, as long as you post within the time limit of one week from when you were last tagged in the IC.

He had a toned body, not to much of a muscular build but he wasn't a wimp, so he was more in the middle of it all really. Drake kept his hair tied back into a ponytail, but since his hair wasn't really all that long it was about the right size for a guy to wear it, maybe an inch or two longer. While his an escort he also dresses the part, wearing a tux with a black tie, a pair of dark dress shoes but he didn't wear boxers or anything under his pants, since he often didn't wear them the whole night.

Race: Human, though because he was cursed by a demon a couple hundred years ago, his more of an immortal as it would be, cursed to stay alive until the end of time and watch anyone he ever gets close to fade away while he remains the same.

Personality: Drakes a caring and kind person, though with his line of work that's often a plus that earns him a few extra coins from his clients. He believes in helping people and using his curse for something good, after all not being able to die has a few ups to it as well. But he has also learned to keep his feelings of love sealed away, since he had never met anyone that could stay alive as long as he would. Though thanks to his curse his also tried many things, giving him a rather perverse nature when his in the bed room with a client, often ending up with him having a few regulars coming once a week for more fun.

History: Drake was born in the eighteen hundreds, near the beginning of that century actually. He was born and raised in america and was brought up to fear demons and worship god, he had even done just that for many years as it was. But he let his guard down when he came across a real demon once, one that tried to seduce him into having sex with the same gender. His willpower was strong, stronger then the demons and because of that he was able to turn the demon and even banish it back to hell, but not before the demon laid a curse on him for all time. Drake was cursed to wonder the earth until the end of time, forever staying the age he was and never able to die and for many years, he did try to die threw every possible way he could think of. But not a single thing worked and even after turning to witches, not even the oldest one could give him a cure to his curse. For the curse he had he wanted to turn it into something, so he did just that and used it against many things with the coming years.

He fought in the civil war along side union solders, able to keep his curse a secret even after the war was over, even if their leader was killed in the process. As the years came by, he kept fighting in wars and helping anyone he could, deciding he was going to turn his curse into something that could do some good. But after years of fighting and seeing death over an over again, he finally stopped fighting and laid his weapon down. It wasn't long after that that he came across a company that was starting to hire people for jobs, the name of the company being ironic in that it was the name of a demon meant to seduce women. The most ironic part of it though was the company was a man only dating company, something he got a laugh out of every time he thought about it. Though soon it the company grew rather fast and he was also one of the few that got to meet the boss of the company, in more ways than just talking that was.

Drake enjoyed his job as an escort at the company and the benefits were pretty good. He wasn't on security but he did keep an eye out when he wasn't in a room, just so he could make sure nobody tried to hurt some of the more smaller or shy escorts.

You can use a real or anime/drawn image. I used a drawn one because some of the "real" pictures didn't do very good jobs capturing the incubus feeling I wanted. Fonze has used an anime one, although the only reason I'm confused is that his picture doesn't match his character description he wrote. Karasu PMed me and used anime ones, so they're open. Real images are also acceptable.

Although....if I'm accepting a variety, I might need to ask for written descriptions of appearances, since the pic types can vary widely.

And Cleo4u2, I'm going to cross out escorts as an option for now. I agree that we seem to have enough escorts for the nonce. I'd like to see more members (new or not) and employees. Those of you who expressed interest in playing an escort before this post may play an escort. I may open escort options back up if we get more members and employees.

Apologies for the double post, but one other thing. Fonze, you should be an escort OR another type of employee. So your character could be an escort or  could manage security, but he can't do both. Mostly for logical reasons--your character can't do escort work if he's guarding other escorts and employees, and he can't do your security work if he's busy having sex. I thought that should be mentioned.

History: He chooses not to remember his time as a mortal. It holds no meaning for him. Now, now is all that matters..

He has risen high within the ranks of the Incubi in Hell. He has killed when needed without remorse, and has taken those he's desired. Hell has held all he's wanted, from a throne to those groveling for his attention, but he has had his gaze upon the mortal realm once again. It was his wanderings there that he found out about Daeron Swift. Found out about the 'business' the Incubus had began. Found out that perhaps, the mortal realm was a viable playground...

… whispers in the right ears have brought him to become a member of Incubus, Inc. He has been sent to spy upon the young Daeron, but perhaps he has his own agenda as well.

Here is my character sheet. I'm open to feedback and such from everyone and am excited to play with you all. Also, I terribly sorry about how short his Bio is! I can look into it again later if it's too small and try and flesh it out a little more. If it's alright, then yay! Haha xD

Name: Ashai Ottah Kafele.
Age: 21 years old.
Race: Human.

Appearance: Ashai seems to appear taller then he actually is; an effect of his slender form and how he holds himself. He has a naturally tanned skin tone that could only originate from his country and unusual brown eyes that can often be mistake for a crimson-like colour. He has long black hair, reaching down to the top of his rear, but he usually ties it up some way or another.

Personality: Ashai can be very quiet and withdrawn as far as first impressions go. He holds himself well, though he doesn’t enjoy speaking; he has always been ‘spoken for.’ That being said, he can be quite easy to read and tends to wear his heart on his sleeve, though this is only interpreted through his body language and facial expression, not so much what he says. He doesn’t tend to speak his mind; instead he says what he thinks wants to be heard. Even though he is young, he can be very mature and listens well, mostly to things that he probably shouldn’t. He is very inexperienced with common life skills, though is taught by his personal tutor about things one would normally learn through school education.

History: Ashai is a Prince from a country in the midst of Europe, though it is not known where exactly. (It’s very under lock and key.) He has been sent by his father, the King, as a special treat to explore places in the world rather than simply learning it from books, though it is obvious to everyone, including Ashai, that in reality the King only wants to rid himself of his child. The two never got on and were rarely together other than to make appearances to their public. Ashai was always bitter that he never received the love a father should show his only child and because of that, has sought attention elsewhere. Travelling with their Prince is his personal tutor and a small group of four Royal guards for his safety. 

Althogh it is customary for him to be in an arranged marriage at his age, his father has yet to bother seeking a woman ‘appropriate’ for position of his wife. Ashai has stumbled upon Incubus Inc and has found himself intrigued by the concept of the business; this spurred him on to investigating through their online website and he has even sent emails back and forth with someone on their end. He has yet to visit the building itself, mix with any other members or look into hiring someone’s company, but has been working up to it without his guards and tutors awareness.

History: The unwanted result of a fling between a businessman and a whore, they were given the names of Kerberos and Azra'il, both dark and evil names,  Azra'il meaning the "Angel of Death" while Kerberos meaning "demon of the pit". The boys ended up running away from foster home after home, ending up on the streets, fending for themselves their entire lives, eventually Kerb Got approached by a wealthy man, who gave him the offer of "adopting" the boys, letting them have a home, food and clothes, in return for Kerb being his partner, though Azra wasn't to be touched.

This led to the boys learning how to play their respective instruments and Azra getting singing lessons, though eventually they got too old and their sugar daddy told them to leave. They did so though they found themselves at the doors of Incubus Inc. They found themselves swept up in the interesting lifestyle and became workers, Kerb being first to become an escort while Azra did non sexual entertainment. To this day they keep this, though Azra's learned to flirt a bit, and dance.

His eyes are a muddy hazel that seem a touch more green than they are thanks to the shade of his hair, and his eyebrows are heavy and dark.

He swings between being picky about what he wears to not caring in the least. Fashion means nothing to him, though he is repulsed by the idea of wearing sweat pants or wearing the same thing on consecutive days without washing it.

Race: Human

Personality: Hart is intelligent, opinionated and smart-mouthed. His curiosity burns at the center of his being, though it doesn’t rule him (usually.) He has very little patience and gets frustrated easily when dealing with other people.   

History: Hart never knew his father, and was raised by his mother and grandfather. His mother and grandfather ran a small snakeoil business, conning people out of thousands of dollars at a time. They traveled all over the country, and Hart never had an opportunity to attend school. Instead, he learned from his mother and grandfather and from what books they found on their travels.

When he was sixteen, he was thoroughly tired of moving constantly, and tried to get a high school diploma so he could attend college. He tried to get one the conventional way, but failed the tests three times in a row. His determination had him not give up - but his intelligence insisted he change tactics, so he hacked the server and changed his score.

With the diploma, he could get into a college and his life would improve drastically - so he thought. It wasn’t so. He dropped out of college in the first semester, but refused to return to the constant road trip that had been his childhood. Instead, he started to work, conning a little to get established, then using the money to get on an internet course about computer programming.

He improved radically, and submerged himself in the cyber world, taking some legitimate jobs along the way simply to see if he could do them - but web design was dull compared to what he could do. When he hit twenty, he caught the attention of a mob boss’ son. For the world, they were simply friends, Hart doing some favours here and there though he took great care to keep attention off his skill. He was not keen on being “owned” by anyone.

After two years, the relationship fell to pieces and Hart fled the city, not trusting his ex to leave him alive. He lay low in an out of the way town for a few weeks - so out of the way, the internet connection was patchy and slow. To stave off insanity, Hart roamed the town and come upon a shop filled with magical paraphernalia. Some New Age stuff, but also some very old books. Hart found himself drawn to them, and bought them almost without thinking about it.

And so began Hart’s obsession with magic. The book told him little, but it whet his appetite. While he knows with his brain magic is a child’s daydream, his curiosity was latched firmly onto it. His mind keeps turning back to it obsessively, no matter what else he is doing, and like a habit Hart feeds it when he can. Most books and blogs are rubbish, but some have grains of great wisdom he craves above all else.

When he finished the book, it was his insatiable need for more that spurred him back to civilisation, so he could hunt through thrift shops in search of more similar tomes, though in the years following he’d found little.

To feed his expensive and time consuming obsession, he took legitimate jobs that danced between the lines of legality, needing the high pay and semi-stable environment they offered. He fell into the position at Incubus, Inc with little effort, and it has stayed his main job for some time now, though he routinely takes on other projects.

His pet crow has only one wing after it was hit by a car and partially eaten by a cat on his fire escape. He rescued it, kept it and called it Tiefer.

@Blythe: I put down a picture for him that looked close enough like him, just have to plug in all the things i wrote down onto the character picture and you have Drake. It's my writing style when i make character's to make them were people have to put down what i wrote him looking as with the picture to get his full image in their heads. I'd have put down a better picture but not really many pictures with anime guys with a ponytail for some reason :3

Also i choose escort, which was the main thing he was going to be anyways. Should have worded what he was a bit better honestly, so my bad. When his not in a room with somebody his out with all the others, so he keeps eyes open for anyone causing trouble towards people. I've been kind of interested in flexing my Top muscles a little bit. This seems like a good opportunity, since the escorts seem to be full up!

What would people think about adding an organized crime element to the city? It is Las Vegas, and a den full of immoral escorts would be a nice place to bring people for business arrangements, reward his enforcers, and of course, work out some of the stress that a hard job causes.

I was looking to play some kind of Boss in this regard, or if that seems too much like its own side story, I could also just play a lieutenant of said boss. Any thoughts?

And Ryven, the posting speed is, preferably, once a week. I might approve another escort, but in particular, I'd love to see returning members or employees of Incubus, Inc. Not that I'm not fond of escorts, of course. <3

And lockepick, your idea has merit. Perhaps Daeron has contracted with a local crime syndicate for his security needs and pays for protection? Your character, a lieutenant in that syndicate, could run security at Incubus, Inc., and ensure that Daeron's business is protected while protecting your own financial investment. Or if you played a crime boss, you could be a returning member, a patron of the establishment, who sometimes launders money through Daeron's business? There's a lot of great options there. <3

I think I like the idea of being part of a crime syndicate that offers external protection of the club. My organization keeps the cops and media out of the club -- unless it's to get them on the take. In return, the club works as a place for us to handle our business. We're not the most polite or respectful customers, but we are well-paying ones.

I like this idea mostly because it lets me be at odds with whoever plays the ACTUAL security. A nice power play between 'external' and 'internal' security.

I saw a line about how Incubi feed off semen, and some can get sustenance from other emotions too. I was thinking of my halfie nature making it so I can get sustenance from Greed or something along those lines. Thoughts?

Appearance: Ayil possess an inner glow (not literally, thanks) that is associated with pure beings such as angels. He posses exceptionally smooth skin that holds no blemishes.
Slender, tall, lightly muscled.

Personality: Calm, detached, calculated. Is often thought of to be shy, which would be a false assumption.
Defrosts when in the 'right' company. Has a weakness for demons, and more so for incubi. Prefers demons over humans, but humans over angels.
Can be witty, but mostly doesn't bother.
Gentlemanly, bordering on rigid.
Has lived long enough to have done and encounter just about anything. This has desensitised him quite a bit.

History:
Ayil was originally created to be a defender and later, when Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven, to be a soldier against the forces of Darkness. However, when humanity found Free Will, things changed for many an angel, as well. Ayil was not the first, but also not the last, to question his place in the Plan. Leaving Heaven was frowned upon by other angels, though God didn't object. The Choirs did punish Ayil by splitting him in half and only allowing his male part to leave Heaven. His female part remains in Heaven until today, dormant and awaiting his full return. Though he does go in and out of Heaven when he wishes, he's not completely a part of it, nor does he count as 'fallen'.

Ayil sees himself to be a Balancer: a force between God and the Devil to keep the status quo so all sentient beings can live life the way they see fit. This means he can be on Heaven's side in battle, but can be on Hell's side in the next.

These days, Ayil wanders the realms of men mostly, offering his services to the highest paying party.

Being a member of Daeron's little company actually stems back a couple of hundred of years ago when both met to cross swords on one of Ayil's Heaven days. Daeron, being demonic, would have to die was Ayil's whole view on the matter. Ayil, however, lost to Daeron. Maybe his heart wasn't in the fight, maybe he wasn't as strong as he believed to be. Either way, the incubus and the angel spend a few days in eachother's company - one a food source for the other.
This experience caused Ayil to be interested in demons and pick up a more pointed study towards sexuality.
When he found out Daeron set up shop he paid the incubus a visit and has been a member ever since.

History:   Marc joined the military at the age of 21, having much of a normal life before then.  After three tours and eight years in the service, he was wounded at the beginning of his fourth tour, taking a bullet to his left arm which left the limb nearly completely numb despite being able to use it fully.  After being discharged because of that injury, he settled in his home state of Nevada though he moved to the big city of Las Vegas where he started a career of small security jobs.  Marc fell into a bit of depression nearly a year after being discharged, however.  Finding the new life outside of the service a hard jolt to his life, he allowed his competitive nature and propensity for gambling get the better of him, and over the course of a couple of years with ups and downs in between, he racked up a considerable debt which was to be paid to an underground money lender he'd found.  Things took a turn for the worse when jobs became scarce and money was in short supply, and when the deadlines came and passed for him to get the money, he always came up short.  The final straw was drawn, and he knew the next time would be his last.  In a final effort to save his own life, he was promised a way out by a mysterious stranger if only he promised something in exchange.  A reluctant deal was struck, and through a little tutelage, he deceived the lenders into thinking they had been paid all of their money.  Soon after, he found himself hiding out in Incubus Inc under their employment as their head of security.  All he had to do was keep the peace...and give a piece of his own.

Even in his default 'human' form, nobody would see Ivan Vetrov and think of him as anything except the brute enforcer of a smarter man. A broad square jaw, broad shoulders, a barrel chest and powerful arms that make him need to turn sideways to get through most doors. His hair is shaved close to his head, along with a wide chin strap that only helps accentuate that powerful jaw. His eyes are a piercing green that dim and brighten based on his emotions. He's got small cuts and scars across his body; mostly on his chest, arms, and even one cutting an eyebrow in half. Over sized hands and feet give his whole body a lumbering posture. He favors sturdy jeans, designer shirts, and a well-worn leather jacket with the Lost Breed logo on it -- two skulls facing away from each other with a chain connecting them by hooking into the inner eye sockets.

His 'demon' form, brings his Leviathan nature comes to the surface. Even in this form he is clearly recognizable, though there are strong exaggerations to his current form. He grows taller, wider, and any the disproportionately large parts, such as his hands and feet, continue that trend. His skin takes on a dark blue tone that glistens like it's always wet. Small patches of scales and plates form on his shoulders, shins, forearms and neck. His canine teeth elongate and his nails grow longer to form short black claws. On his brow, two large horns grow out above and behind him, coiled and gnarled, always seemed to be in a different pattern each time he takes this form.

Race:
Half-Demon. His father was a Leviathan, a demon of Envy, and Ivan has retained some of their abilities. For one, he ages slower, but is by no means immortal. His default form is that of a human, albeit larger than most with disproportionate strength and stamina. For short periods of time he can take a more demonic form (described above) with exaggerated features and the ability to breathe under water. While he requires food, water and air like any other human, he can also feed off people feeling satisfied or content. This is more of an indulgence, like wine, as it offers a slight buzz and doesn't actually sustain him. Ivan finds that satisfaction that comes from Ivan offering as little assistance as possible is the strongest and sweetest. This mixed heritage also gives Ivan a weakness to salt. Like evil spirits of old, he can't cross over lines of salt, and prolonged contact with concentrations of salt will dry out and burn his skin the same a normal person might react to lye. This particular quirk is, for obvious reasons, something Ivan keeps secret.

Personality:
Entitled, Aggressive, Confident. Ivan likes to evoke feelings of jealousy in others, finding out what they really want and taking it for himself.

History:
Alexei Vetrov was a Leviathan, a Demon of Envy, and the first leader of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Lost Breed Motorcycle Club. It was originally a small money lending ring that preyed on tourists. Since then, they've expanded their operations to be the only organized crime in Las Vegas. Money lending is still their prime export, but they also handle protection rackets, vice, and arms dealing. Alexei wanted an heir to take over the Chapter in his stead so he could move on to larger game. He sired a child with a mortal girl so no other demons would try to interfere. Ivan's mother died in childbirth, which Alexei always joked was due to how large Ivan was upon birth. Ivan grew up learning the business from his father, becoming his second in command even over more seasoned men. His life, and career, were a constant struggle against men who thought they could it better, and his father's unhappiness with how 'human' he ended up.

It reached a point, three years ago, where Ivan felt he had learned everything his Father had to offer. Alexei began to grow bored with running the organization, but was too proud to give it up. Ivan killed his father's earthly body and sent his soul back to hell. He's since claimed ownership of the Lost Breed. After seeing what he was willing to do, and the fact that he had been second in command for almost forty years, none of his subordinates were willing to challenge him for leadership.

Ivan was originally a customer of Incubus Inc even in its infancy. As the company got larger, Ivan met with Daeron to get in on the ground level. While Daeron worked on building the business, Ivan made sure that nobody else got in Daeron's way. Ivan kept the clean cops and the dirty thugs out to make sure nobody saw what happened inside. He kept reports and the press out, except for a select few that wrote glowing reviews carefully written by Daeron himself. In return, Ivan uses the building as a place for his own personal business meetings, along with taking a cut of the profit; though that normally goes directly back into buying escorts for him, his gang, and any potential business partners.

Prostitution is legal, which is why I put the RP in Las Vegas, but much of what Daeron does might not be entirely legal. Particularly the fact that Daeron identity-thieves some of his customers to fund his business--it was how he began it. He would need protection from the police due to some crimes already committed.

The 'human form' which is actually his default, is... well... basically human. A big human, but a human. Taking on his 'demon' form is something that requires effort and can't be maintained for long. If somebody has some method of sensing demonic heritages, he's got nothing stopping them from spotting him.

His Father was a full demon, so I presume most of the Lost Breeds know that Alexei was a demon, and thus, that Ivan is a half-demon, even if they haven't actually seen his 'demon' form.

So I guess no illusion magic, since it's not necessary. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question?

Nah, you haven't misunderstood. I like the reversal idea here--he's normally "human" looking, and can only maintain demon form so long, while the full demons are usually demonic and have to work hard at maintaining a human form. This answers my question perfectly.

History:  Mora discovered his homosexual orientation at an early age. Appearance:  Lean trim and hungry with an penchant for expensive suits, Agent Sabre is every inch the protector.  Dark eyes absorb much, but expose very little of his thoughts to the world. The gaze is usually sleepy unless he's gotten a taste of his prey then his eyes are sharp and hard. Jet black  His skin is bronzed and midnight dark hair curls away from his face. Masculine stubble usually graces a strong jaw-line and cleft chin. His mouth is wide, the bottom lip plush but without laugh lines. This is not a man that smiles particularly much.

The musculature under his suit is strong and toned from martial activity. Healed scars dot his limbs. Knife wounds and bullet holes mar his skin in places. He wears them with pride - the mementos of an apex predator. If his prey wasn't dangerous, there would be no point in chasing it.

Personality: Agent Sabre is a hunter, a scientist and actor, but first and foremost he is a policeman. His life is devoted to the law. His natural protector shows through kitted out for SWAT, in a suit and tie or in his civvies.  He's efficient and careful with others. His smile is rare and his words are carefully chosen and weighty when he chooses to speak them. His life is filled with serious problems and serious people. Adair can sometimes treat people like puzzles, solving them quickly then moving on to the next case.

Sabre's analytic mind and logical training often puts him a few steps ahead of the average person. His experiences as an agent makes him immediately suspect anything fanciful. Both combine to make it difficult to fool or scare him with glamour or illusion. Sabre does not believe in magic. He is an atheist, nor allows for angels or demons. He has had brushes with the realms of heaven and hell, but nothing that stuck with him, nothing that couldn't be debunked or explained scientifically. It is this rock hard belief that makes him dangerous to beings of a magical nature, he is a true null, actually weakening powers of others when around him.

Despite his slick metropolitan exterior and diamond hard interior, at his heart there is plenty of squishy caring, patriotism and an honest interest in the well fare of people.

History: Sabre's upbringing was particularly boring. He grew up the eldest brother of three in a well-to-do Connecticut house hold. Trained from young in deductive reasoning by his mathematician father and instilled with a deep sense of ethics by his law professor mother, Agent Saber was bound for forensic science before he was fully able to hold a calculator. He grew up in a household that prized intelligence far above physical prowess.

Adair held a dual masters in forensic chemistry, physics, and biology almost before he'd fully grown into his tall gangly body. A stream of recruiters had his phone ringing off the hook, but nothing but grad school and finishing his Ph.D held any interest.

After three years of working through his Ph.D, he realize that he was looking down the barrel of four decades of teaching without even once working in the field. He called up the recruiters the next day. Of the military and civil agencies only the FBI held his interest.

Quantico was a revelation. Forced to tone and train his body, he gained muscle and with it confidence. The libido he'd counted as permanently and thankfully asleep roared to life.  Sabre's eyes would follow the tanned, strong bodies of his instructors and his fellow recruits as they were turned into agents.  However he'd gotten so good at his poker face that, even hard as a rock, Adair was inscrutable. It would have been terribly unhealthy to pick up a relationship at Quantico, casual or otherwise, but Sabre's natural charm won him many friends.

Stationed in the prestigious New York office, after graduating at top of his class, Sabre made a name for himself solving the cases that made the Times front page. His busts ran the gamut from wall street billionaire to serial killers to terrorist cells. He used all that pent up energy in the prosecution of offenders and his body and soul remained chaste, untouched.  Until Carter.

Sebastien Carter had a penchant for designer pills, classical music and putting himself and others into unbelievable amounts of trouble. The violinist never grown out of that phase of childhood when a caretaker turned their back the house burned or the child instantly transported himself down a well.  Carter got himself into trouble on a national scale, and looked at people with big blue eyes, dewy with innocent regret, and people just let him off. 

Sabre, not buying Carter's innocent act for a second, turned the violinist into a CI and promptly fell ass-over-elbows in love with him. The resulting unmitigated disaster wound up with Carter in the hospital recovering from gunshot wounds and Adair packed off to Vegas with a handful of cold cases, knot of fulminating rage in his gut and a cracked heart.

No, Arveldis is a hotel host, not a hotel consierge (sp?). He plans large group events, hotel events and makes sure the most important clients are taken care of. Usually only resorts and large hotels have them, though I don't know if they all call them hosts.

I'm loath to correct you, but it's not so much that I just seem to accept "exceptional" characters; it's more like the people I ended up accepting turned out to be exceptional. This game brought all the talent out of the woodwork, apparently, hahaha.

The other players make a good point about bartenders. Also, we just lost a client who was a sub (she had some laptop issues), so we need a new sub. Switches are always welcome as well.

"Slow" posts aren't necessarily a problem. The minimum posting requirement is actually pretty small, if you think about it: just five well-constructed sentences. The only pitfall you should watch out for is good spelling, grammar, and punctuation, as I have booted a player already for this problem. Typing posts in a word processor like Microsoft Word pretty much eliminates this problem, though. 

Submit a sample character, either here or via PM for approval, if you're interested.  Don't be intimidated by the size of this particular game; I can guarantee that all of my players right now have turned out to be friendly and chatty about what plans they're making for their posts. It's a really open and talkative group, and they're always happy to have fresh meat new players!


On another note: Update!

I've gotten a question or two from interested parties about whether people need to read the entire OOC or IC (there are two ICs) to get in—the answer is a definite “no” for the OOC. Just need to read the initial post and address what's in that. As for the IC, it could be very helpful to read if you want a vague idea how we seem to be getting along, so I encourage skimming it, particularly the tags in order to see where people are at.

Another question I had that I felt I should answer here was: is there a posting order for Incubus, Inc?

Well I'd need to put more thought into it, but essentially he would be able to drain the willpower from those nearby whenever he played music. I think that would be his main method of 'feeding', but of course he has the manners not to go to extremes - just making them feel maybe a little drowsy. Nothing excessive unless he's heard for a long period or he's focusing particularly on a particular person.

That works. You would have to gauge which characters are open to stuff involving blood, of course. Also, full demonic blood would not provide him nourishment; it's the equivalent of junk food for your siren.

As for no desire for sex--we have an illusionist who is so repulsed by touch that he schedules all of his clients in advance and pleases them via illusionary scenes only. You wouldn't be the only one with a character who doesn't exactly "want" sex.

Appearance: This young man is a bit on the scrawny side, though he has taken to working out in recent years in order to try to bulk himself up a bit. His metabolism enables him to eat - or drink - his way through near endless calories without gaining any body fat, much to the envy of others. He sports sandy-blonde hair and eyes brown like honey - which are wide and soulful enough to draw you in... if it weren't for his nearly ever present cocky grin. He tends to dress stylishly - in a metrosexual sort of way - and has a bad habit of paying too much for designer clothes that hardly anyone would recognize on sight anyway. Aside from his shaggy hairstyle, Wy is clean-cut and has no tattoos, piercings or scars to speak of on his pristine fair skin.

Race: Human

Personality: Wyatt's metabolism grants him a nearly inexhaustible source of energy and he has a sunny disposition most days, to boot. He's sure of himself to the point that he knows what he's doing, but he doesn't try to act like he's better than anyone else. He has a dirty sense of humor, but sees little means to use that at work, considering the stigma of differing sexualities. He likes to be praised when he's done well but can see through false flattery. Since he'd been a bit of a spoiled brat as a child, there is a certain sense of self-importance that carries over in that he can fall into a routine of griping over silly concerns (i.e. "white whines) pretty easily.

History: His parents were very well-off nouveau riche- types who'd settled comfortably into a tacky way of showing off the wealth his father made back in the late 80's. Dad was a high-roller who eventually won the house and still owns a relatively successful casino on the main run. Mom was a coctail waitress from the midwest who had made a pitstop in Vegas as her first shot on a planned journey toward stardom - she never made it to the stage. Daddy Anderson struck it big an swept her off her feet in a night of big spending that made her see stars. Eight and a half months later, Wyatt was born and the two were married soon after.

They let Wy want for nothing - always picking up the latest gadgets and trends for him the moment they were released to the general public... or sometimes sooner. In school he was nosy, aloof and easily distracted but his parents always made sure he had better than passing grades - even if private tutors (or bribery) became necessary. By the time college had come around, his parents' attention was mostly focused on his young sister and her progress through the southern pageant scene. When he wanted their attention, they'd throw money his way and hope he'd shut up for a while. Since they were conveniently otherwise occupied, he managed to slip into his choice of majors (Communications) without any complaints. Graduating with honors was a point of pride for him and he looked forward to making a name for himself in the entertainment industry.

The DJ has many nicknames loosely based on his first name. 'Wy' was just a lazy abbreviation. As a child, he was ever inquisitive and prodding, earning him the calling of "Why?" by teachers, family and friends alike. They'll often tease him to this day whenever they feel he's being too intrusive. "Why? Why? Why? You always have to know why?" Unfortunately, this has negatively influenced him to hold his queries in most situations so he'll bite his tongue unless a question is work-related or deemed important.

'Y' was a play on words because his first gig was at Y-109, a campus station where his spunky attitude earned him a bit of a cult following. When he moved on into professional radio, the bigger names referred to him derogatively as 'Y' because the student-run radio had a habit of turning out self-important n00bs who knew nothing of how radio worked in the "real world". Wyatt was not spared the embarassment of being a part of the flow of amateur radio hosts turned out on Nevada's entertainment scene, though he did eventually manage to swallow his pride and make the most of it. However, butt-crack of dead hour, late-night hosting was the best spot he'd been given after 3 years of drudging ad-spots at one of the popular Las Vegas stations. Unhappy with the cards he'd been given, he decided to start offering freelance services on the side in order to boost his pay. It all began when a friend had a casual wedding and he offered to DJ the reception as a gift. He found it so much fun that he took on new clients and did very well for several months. But when he expanded out into a weekly Karaoke gig as well, his regular employer found out and cited a breach of contract, terminating him on the spot.

Now that he was no longer associated with the prominent radio name, his draw was significantly reduced. A month of eating ramen made it all too clear that he needed to find a new permanent, full-time job - preferably one with on-site equipment since his was now scant as he no longer had the station's portable electronics to work with. Having never been a privy to the scene that Incubus, Inc. was part of, it was by pure happinstance that he overheard a few young men on the busline talking about the business. He made an inquiry inside as to employment, chuckling at the thought of working for such a place. In his youth, he was quite homophobic, but he managed to become better educated and cultured as he got older. This newly-enlightened Wy figured that that Incubus couldn't assault him in anyway, so he gladly took the job offer. Oh, just how wrong will he end up being?

Since he started work for Incubus, he's noticed many strange things. However, that "shut your mouth" mentality that the authorities of his youth ingrained in him kept him from looking into it further or asking those blasted questions. However, modern accessories and medical implants could answer to many things - like the strange eyes and "fangs" he'd noticed around, for instance - but there is a sort of unnerving quality to the air around him at work sometimes. Like the feeling of being watched all the time, or just noticing something odd and impossible in the corner of his eye....

Appearance: Smooth, hairless dark skin drawn tight over a wiry frame accompanies his tightly curled, long black hair and the deepest of brown eyes. On his back is a supernaturally scribed tattoo of an ornate spell in symbols and a language he is completely unfamiliar with... it is an outward sign of his contract with Daeron.

Personality: Youth and magical intelligence are of utmost importance. He'll do anything to maintain them. A little wealth couldn't hurt, too... Ah, avarice... That harmless little pill that starts you out small but the hunger grows ever bigger inside you until you'll do anything to fill that void. He's wise enough to understand what's happening to him while it's going on.. but if the prize is big enough he doesn't care. He flirts with danger.... and handsome people - though doesn't always mean to be more than a tease. If he had his way, he'd likely be the center of attention, living the fine life and being adored. Unfortunately, that little seal on his back makes it obvious that he can't always have what he wants, and a pout will do little to fix it. So Tony proudly lies in the bed he made and makes the most of any situation. No regrets.

History: Tony was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of 16 months. His new parents were well-to-do white folks that spoke in pretentious trans-Atlantic accents and had high-pitched, too enthusiastic laughter for anything even remotely perceived as humor. He was as much their possession as their child, a unique work of art displayed at home and a showcase of their charitable acts all rolled into one cute little package. He learned early that looks weren't everything, but in his case they certainly helped grab attention. And, since his parents were too concerned with throwing parties and hobnobbing to plan much family time, he's been starved for love for as long as he knows. He tried all he could to get their interest but in the end gave up and moved on.

Seeing no support from his adoptive family, he rejected them in his heart and began to weave a yarn in his mind where his biological family would some day come and rescue him. These people were powerful and knew old shamanic magic that they would use to enact a revenge on the unworthy and arrogant fools that had taken their child. It was these childhood fantasies that sparked his interest in the Occult. While he dabbled however he could in spellcraft, he was never successful.

As he grew older, he went to University both because it was expected of someone in his high social standing and because he looked forward to a bigger city and new libraries that could stoke the warlock he hoped was within him. He also threw himself into music and dance, loving the spotlight that came with performing. No one would guess the dark side he hid, he played the crowds so well. He changed his diet repeatedly, obsessing over every ounce he weighed. When he turned 30, he became more and more desperate to turn back the hands of time he saw digging into his face with the few lines that had already formed. It was as if he could feel every slow tick of his biological clock and it terrified him. Who knew of a successful male dancer or model that was past 29? His all-encompassing desire to maintain his body took over his thoughts night and day for week, he was hardly eating or sleeping and it took its toll on his appearance. The counter-productivity drove him mad and his manager forced him to take a two week vacation that he was certain would be the doorway to the death of his career.

His troupe had been in Vegas- they were backup dancers for Nicki Minaj on her recent tour. Luckily, there were plenty of eager understudies to take his place, eyes glinting hungrily no doubt. Tony drowned his sorrows helplessly in rum, having lost his drive and much of his hope as well. Three days later, the drama seemed to evaporate out of him with the booze and as he nursed his headache he slipped into the comforts of an old book. In that he found his savior. Odd - he'd read that tome cover to cover on several occasions since high school and yet he never found that particular passage. His heart leaped into his throat as he traced the strange symbols he found and murmured the words. He soon found himself sitting at the feet of a diminutive and yet undeniably fearsome demon. His excitement and desperation propelled him into enthusiastically accepting the handsome man's terms. In exchange for long a long life of beauty and a tempting yet paltry array of minor spell-like abilities, he agreed to the vague and cleverly-presented price that Daeron had required. Tony looks back on the moment of his awakening with quite a bit of uncertainty. Even now he doesn't know exactly what the price to be paid is... But life returns so easily to routine and his prestidigitation makes it easy to find distraction from whatever worries he might have. And his hubris drives him ever onward...
