Hello, members of Elliquiy! I am using an interest check to see if anyone is interested in a video game crossover, well, game. I will release more information if this notion tickles anyone's fancy. But here are some game wise things that are important to know.

1. It will most likely be run using PathFinder Rules, but you may also use DnD books for things if it fits your character.
2. I will run this game if I see 4 people(the standard adventuring party, but not counting myself) also want to play it.
3. You may either roll for your stats(but I have to be able to see them...so I guess using a dice roller) or you may take the standard stat array:
18
16
14
12
10
8

4. I will homebrew whatever I need to in order to fit a character in(race, class, weapons, etc.) so don't feel that a character would not fit because their abilities do not fit with any class.

5. This game will probably be placed in the Extreme Category or Exotic NC, depending on what characters are being played.

Regarding characters:
6. The characters probably should be heroes and anti heroes in their games, or at least not totally against working together with others. So playing someone who would probably qualify as lawful evil or chaotic evil in a party with neutral good to chaotic good probably will cause major character clash.(Clashing is good in certain amounts, it shouldn't lead to a TPK from a player. I have had this happen one too many times in games.) If you want to play a villain or anti villain, let me know why.

7. You can play an intelligent animal character as long as it can move, communicate, and fight under it's own power reasonably. (an example of this would be a pokemon who has gained intelligence through something.) You don't want to be destroyed hardcore.

More information will be added if this notion catches anyone's eye.

Basic Background of the campaign:

In the center of all the universes that are kept apart by the very threads of time and space, lies a small little island sits in the inky blackness of the void in between. It is a tiny world filled with crystals of all shapes, sizes and hues, making for a crystalline rainbow like none of seen before. All of this crystals hold a particular energy at a very particular magnitude, which is maintained by a very whispy race of people called the Geoians. Their job is to forever maintain the power the crystals hold and share to keep the seams from tearing themselves apart. But one day in such a very long time that most cannot remember....A being that was not a Geoian broke into the sanctuary and destroyed many of the precious keys to maintaining the balance, Geoian and crystals alike. The balance has now been broken and tears in the fabric of many worlds is slipping away, leaving portals to other worlds and dimensions in many. If this is left unchecked, untold horrors await all the good beings of existence...Can the ancient race find a few saviors amongst the fallout?

Video games I love, systems for RPs not so much.  Even so, I'd give this a go depending on where it ends up and all.  I can think of a few people I'd bring into the mix but eh, we'll see lol.  Final Fantasy 10 comes to mind right off, as does Jak and Dexter lol.  Joking aside, we'll see what happens I guess.

Okay, now we just need 2 more people to like the idea of it...Do either of you want to hear a little background story on this for the campaign?

Genbu83

Sure that'd give me an idea of who I should roll up. As it stands I'm thinking Alucard from C:SotN, Quote from Cave Story, or Nathan "rad" Spencer.

Here's a basic description of the backstory for this campaign.

This is the basic reason why everything is going to hell with every universe and world and why it should be stopped, though your characters wouldn't really know that until a bit of the way in.

Vergil1989

Sounds like an awesome story to me already.  I'm game.

Well, like I said, that now leaves two more people before we really start the phase of beginning the game.

In the mean time, You two have a solid character in mind? Depending on what you have in mind, I might have to homebrew some races or weapons(or include a legacy weapon or two.)

I was hoping it wouldn't be a system game since I'm totally a novice when it comes to such things.  Hmmm.....could prove a problem for me.  Not sure what to do now unfortunately.

I have played system games for a while in RL and a little on here. I can walk you through the process of playing if you really want to play.

Vergil1989

Well, if you have an AIM or anything then yeah, I'd like to give this a go.  I did try a system over skype for a DnD game and did ok until RL decided to kick me in the ass.  Anyway, send me a PM with either an AIM or a skype address and I'll gladly do the whole deal MHC.

―Ezio Auditore da Firenze on his role as "the Prophet.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze (1459 - 1524) was a Florentine nobleman during the Renaissance and, unbeknownst to most historians and philosophers, the Mentor and leader of the Italian branch of the Assassin Order, a title he held from 1503 to 1512. He was also an ancestor to both Desmond Miles and Clay Kaczmarek.

A member of the House of Auditore, Ezio remained unaware of his Assassin heritage until the age of 17, when he witnessed the hanging of his father and two brothers, Federico and Petruccio. Forced to flee his birthplace with his remaining family members - his mother and sister - Ezio took refuge in the Tuscan town of Monteriggioni, at the Villa Auditore.

After learning of his heritage from his uncle, Mario Auditore, Ezio began his Assassin training and set about on his quest for vengeance against the Templar Order, and their Grand Master, Rodrigo Borgia, who had ordered the execution of his kin.

During his travels, Ezio managed to not only unite the pages of the Codex, written by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, Mentor of the Levantine Assassins, but also to save the cities of Florence, Venice, and Rome from Templar rule.

He ensured the future travels of Christoffa Corombo to the "New World", liberated Rome from Borgia rule, and prevented the rise to power of Ercole Massimo's Cult of Hermes, helping spread the Renaissance and Assassin ideals of independence and free thought throughout Italy.

In the years that followed, Ezio began a quest to rediscover the lost history of the Order. Traveling to the aged fortress of Masyaf in order to learn more of the Assassins before him, he discovered it overrun with Templars and made his way to the city of Constantinople to uncover the location of the Masyaf keys which, as he discovered, would unlock the fortress's fabled hidden library when brought together.

More than a decade later, Ezio retired to a Tuscan villa with his wife Sofia Sartor, and his two children, Flavia and Marcello. Some time after helping teach the Chinese Assassin Shao Jun the ways of the Order, Ezio died of a heart attack at the age of 65, during a visit to Florence with his wife and daughter.

With the walls of reality crashing however, or rather strange holes appearing where they shouldn't be possible, he's bound and determine to figure out why.  Regardless of what they are or where they're coming from, Ezio, still young and still haven't achieved half of what he's destined to do later on his life, packs up his horse and rides for the closest of the holes that he has heard rumors of, disappearing as quickly as he's been able to appear of late right before an assassination....

You can be anyone you want, as long as it's from a video game.

ZameRagues

I'm willing to try this out. Now who to pick?

At first thought I might play Sam Gideon from Vanquish.

I'll see what it looks like after creating a sheet.

Armor: ARS (Augmented Reaction Suit)
- The Augmented Reaction Suit or the ARS. is a futuristic battle suit designed and created by Sam Gideon and funded by DARPA out of the ambition to create an infantry unit that equals, if not exceeds, the mobility, firepower, and command situational awareness capabilities of the existing main battle tanks. Its other function was to act as a experimental supersoldier on the battlefield capable of performing any role from reconnaissance, to healing injuries, to full on combat.

The battle suit was primarily crafted from a carbon nanite-based textile, an advanced material famous for its steel-like toughness, its transparent perceptible weight and its regenerative properties. In order to test its capabilities, DARPA sends Sam himself to conduct some field testing in the midst of the conflict with the Russian forces by assisting the American forces assaulting the station.

Early life

Sam was a successful football player during his college years, but was cut short due to injury. He is known to be a frequent smoker. Sam was in charge of the designing and creation of the Augmented Reaction Suit (ARS) System.

Retaking Providence

After the attack on San Francisco by the Order of the Russian Star , Sam was commissioned by DARPA to join the Bravo company in their mission. Assisting him on the mission was Elena Ivanova, who provided support via radio while aboard her own ship.

With the opportunity to test his ARS and BLADE technology in battle, he goes to the colony under the orders of Lt. Col. Robert Burns. After infiltrating the colony a bit and destroying thousands of R.I.s, he faces his first boss: A KNRB-0 "Argus" robot. Destroying it and moving further, Sam rescues three Marines under captivity. With their help, he escorts a Victory APC "Mike 3" through a tunnel, facing many Jellyfish and using (For the first time) the heavy explosives equipped on the ARS. After the tunnel, he discovers it was a loss: Mike 3 is destroyed by a heavy transport vehicle and Sam suffers his first attack by Romanov robots. As he proceeds through an utilitary elevator, though, he finds Professor Candide.... and meets a "Rip-off" of the ARS: The Bogey. He faces the Bogey after discovering he is Victor Zaitsev and discovering how fast the Bogey Suit is. After a lightspeed clash between the Bogey's Laser Sword and the ARS powered-up punches, Sam knocks the Bogey back and punches him away, thus ending the battle. It was, though, another loss: Sam acknowledges that they have already taken off Professor Candide, and as such the Bogey leaves and greets Bravo by saying "Da Svidaniya" before flying away. Seeing how powerful the Russians can actually become, he lets out a stressed "Fuck me."

Betrayal

After reaching the Core after taking down the Crystal Viper and escaping the hole it blew on the colony outer shell, Robert Burns tries to redirect the Space Laser to Moscow. Sam rushes to stop him, but Burns threatens him with a pistol saying "I don't take orders from DARPA!". As Sam becomes more and more doubtful about Burns' method of handling the mission, he takes the remaining Marines and Daniel Grassi to come to the core with him. After some time, they have to destroy another Crystal Viper, which kills Lt. Terry. Then, Sam asks Elena about Burns (who was at the time talking to President Winters), and tells Grassi to take away the Marines. Upon entering the next room, he finds someone surprising: Professor Candide. He points a Pistol at Sam while asking about the Marines. After Sam warns him he's alone, Candide (Still with the pistol pointed at Sam) types quickly and stops the Countdown which was presumably activated by Burns.

As Sam thinks a bit, many bullets go past by (in slow-motion) and penetrate Candide's heart, killing him. It is then revealed that the bullets come from Robert Burns' new armor.

Sam desperately asks why, and he tells him his idea of redirecting the laser. Sam then warns Burns that redirecting the Laser with the panel that Candide was using is impossible, and Burns says that he knows, then tells he was going to redirect it the "old-fashioned way": Manually. Infuriated, Sam sees himself surrounded by many Marines, and takes his Assault Rifle at hand. Burns jets himself off, and Sam uses his BLADE and AR mode to kill the Marines before rushing to stop Burns.

After a chase and an extensive battle with Burns and his Marine backup, Burns sees himself defeated. With a struggle, Burns reaches for a panel nearby while more Marines run in. Sam kills them all, and tells Burns that he gotta stay still. He orders Sam to get out of the place while opening a door, and them killing two more Marines. Sam quickly runs off while Robert, now surrounded by marines with their rifles pointed at him, says his last words: "My men are dead..... I belong with them!!" as he activates his robotic arm's explosive charge. After this, Sam turns around just to hear a loud boom.

He then receives his final objective: Complete the mission.

The Final Battle Against Victor Zaitsev

After Burns' death, Sam runs at full speed to meet Zaitsev, and the Bogey appears, thanking Sam for dispatching one of his many nuisances. Sam, still with his mouth shut, rolls and slides as the Bogey destroys his path with his Laser Rifle. He destroys the end of the path, forcing Sam to boost himself up, almost dying by the Bogey's Laser Sword. Using debris as his ground, he folds down his helmet and fires with his Assault Rifle. As the Bogey ascends, Sam shoots him with the Rocket Launcher. Then, impatient, he transforms his BLADE into the Shotgun and blasts the Bogey off, being grabbed twice. Then, something quick comes and presses him to the debris: A second, blue Bogey. He holds Sam off of great altitude, simply saying "Die" before throwing him down. Helpless, Sam attempts to grab a ledge, but it is too far forward for him. Instinctively, he activates his leg thrusters, safely "flying" to the ledge.

After hanging, Sam smokes a cigar. Then after some time he decides to pull up, getting a glimpse of Bogey Alpha and Bogey Bravo. After an extensive battle, destroying one of the Bogeys and damaging the other, the ARS became heavily damaged. Elena contacts Sam and advises him to get out of there, but the ARS locks itself while Sam furiously swears it to move. The remaining Bogey comes with his weapon and tries to kill Sam, but it is blocked by his BLADE, which is knocked aside. After this, Sam kicks the Bogey away and destroys it with its own weapon. Then he goes to inspect the Bogey and discovers it is just a slave unit and Victor suddendly activates a Nuclear Bomb in the Bogey. Victor contacts Sam, saying that it "was a pleasure to meet him". Sam tells Elena he's on his way and she tells him of Escape Pods' location, right above him. He then gets into one and gets the heck out of there while being knocked around by a series of explosions.

Man! I was so hyped when I saw the video game crossover thing, then I saw that you had X as your avatar (The suggestive Zero thing not so much)

but then that hype totally got killed with the system game thing, I simply can't do those... They're way too complicated for my tastes.
If you're reading my RPs from the outside and like my writing, feel free to drop me a line! I'm always looking for new, fun partners. :D

SHEESH!  That suit is off the friggin hook!  I never heard of Vanquish before until you brought it up, but now I have a strong urge to give it a go lol.  Anyway Zame, good luck getting that approved pal if you haven't already and hope you get to finish it soon.  And Sargent Toughie, you're talking to a complete rank amateur when it comes to system games yet I'm still giving it a try.  Still, to each their own and if you ever change your mind I hope to see you later.

If you ever want to learn, I am willing to walk you through it. I am the GM for this game, so it's no problem if you really want to play. If not, totally fine. Thanks for showing interest though. ^_^

The game is awesome, it's very fast pace. There are a few other negative points to it that I need to add once I figure the numbers out.
It's a cheap game too cause it didn't get much popularity.

As long as it's not overly complicated I should be able to learn. Still, I've played system games in the past where the system completely and totally gets in the way of everything that the player wants to do, forcing them on rails where a single dice roll can completely screw over both a character's future, the story I had planned for them, and their personality on a fundamental level.

As long as that sorta stuff can't happen, I'll be down. And if you want, I can give you the story that made me so bitter towards system games. XD
