Some spoilers for Mass Effect follow.



I haven't really decided how this will work out exactly since this idea has worked as a one on one story on Blue Moon, but I have a strong desire to try a group game of this.  The solo game has myself and a partner starting out on some fantasy world, (Toril to be precise from the Forgotten Realms,) and how they met up was that he was part of a slaver camp, a hired merc, and she was captured but managed to escape with a little help, and then things went south fast lol.  In a good way of course.   ;D  Here, that might be a little tougher considering not everyone will want to be a person from a fantasy realm, as it can be said of the other way around.  For the most part though, this story will be Mass Effect heavy with only a few fantasy creatures running about.  Cannon or original people are more than welcome, but my rule is that you start out true to cannon and then as the story progresses then you can change them SLOWLY to fit what's going on.  Beyond that, it'll be a pretty open story but with major key things from the game, such as the Battle against Sovereign in the Citadel, possibly the loyalty missions for the crew members plus a few of our own of course, among other things like that.  Otherwise though, it's all up in the air on how we go about this little forey into the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond the Persues Viel to stop the Geth and the Reapers from crushing all in their path.  Do you have what it takes to be a member of the soon to be legendary Normandy and her crew that is governed by the Council through a soon to be legendary Spectre?  If so, please apply at your nearest recruitment center lol.

Joking aside, I do want this to be an original take on an otherwise epic story that is about to have a third edition to the franchise.  Where the story goes from there is anyone's guess, but one thing is for certain.  It looks epic, and I cannot wait to see how the Reapers are stopped once and for all before they begin another cycle of destruction, sending everyone back to the stone age lol.  Anyway, if enough interest is garnered, then I'll get a character sheet going for this puppy.

Ok, the update's up.  There will be more soon but for the most part it's as it stands.  I'll add a few limitations here though.

Rule 1;  I AM GOD!  Lol, ok, maybe not, but as GM I do reserve the right to kick your butts if you don't fall in line  >:)  Lol, seriously though, I do ask that you try to behave yourselves but enjoy the game at the same time.  Any problems that can't be cleared up by yourselves, I'll step in and try to come up with a compromise, and if that doesn't work....there will be Hell to pay.  MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  "Cough wheeze!"  Lol.

Rule 2;  Please try to post more than once a week, preferably three times if you can.  I want to keep this game going for as long as possible after all, just like any GM lol.

Rule 3;  I do ask that you use a Spellchecker for any and all posts you put up.  Some don't need it but for those that do, please do so so it's easier for the rest of us to understand what you're trying to say.  Also, for post length, please try to do two paragraphs of five sentences each.  More is welcome of course, but if you cannot honestly do more than this then it's ok but try to make an honest effort please.  THANKS!

Rule 4;  Something I forgot to mention.  Since this is a combo of magic and tech, I do ask that you try not to be all powerful.  That's why this is a squad based game after all.  Everyone has things they are good at and there's things you won't be able to do but your partners in crime can.  For example, using lightning to short out an electronic lock, thus forcing a door open, is totally cool but don't be surprised if alarms start going off.  If you want to get in silently, have someone proficient in hacking.  Things like that.

Rule 5;  Have fun!  This game and everything that happens from here is designed to make this as fun as possible for everyone.  Despite the fighting and things blowing up and everything, this will be a story driven plot and thus hopefully enjoyable for all.

Home Planet;  Toril.
Race;  Half Drow. (Father's side.)  Half light elf.  (Mother's side.)
Racial Abilities;  Able to see in the darkest of shadows, (dark vision or night vision, whatever you prefer,) as well as the infrared spectrum, (body and mechanical heat for example.)  Her Drow side gives her the power to drop globes of darkness that no light or sight can see in or through as well as the ability to conjure up magical faerie fire that illuminate a target but doesn't burn them at all.  Because she's elven, Giselle has a much longer lifespan as well, and has all of the regular strengths her elven blood grants her.  Speed, agility, and dexterity for the most part are superior to a regular human being.  Like all elves, Drow or otherwise however, Giselle is completely immune to enchantments that force sleep upon her kind.  (Drugs on the other hand are still able to work.  Stunners not so much.)  Light elves also go into a meditative dream trance called Reverie where they relive their past memories in vivid detail, but like a regular sleeper she can't control what she dreams/remembers and if woken up before her four hours of needed rest, can be a little dazed and confused for a few minutes.
Powers;  Most low level spells like ice, lightning, fire, wind are available to her plus a couple more powerful ones such as being able to teleport to a degree as well as a an acidic arrow type attack as well.  Unlike her mage brother Seth however, Giselle prefers to rely more on her physical abilities than anything else.
Chosen Weaponry;  Twin scimitar blades.  Icingdeath and Twinkle, handed to her a hundred and fifty years ago.  Icingdeath is able to absorb fire in any shape or form.  (Even the fire from incendiary rounds but the bullets themselves are not affected making it a rather moot point.)  Twinkle glows in the presence of danger and has a far sharper edge than it first appears to possess.

Fighting Style;  Giselle is highly proficient in the use of her father's blades.  Able to perform physical feats that are akin to a first class Olympic athlete, the ranger is fast and agile and able to move in a blur of continuous motion once she gets going.  Every move follows another, even when running over obstacles there are few things she can't traverse over when on the move either into or out of battle.

Fireball
Ice Bolt.  (With water handy can easily freeze a metal door and shatter it, same with glass.)
Lightning Orb.  (Can also be used as a touch attack as well.  Frying electronic locks later lol.)
Wind Wall.  (Able to use it to make a kind of invisible wall to spring board off of if nothing is available otherwise.)
Melf's Acid Arrow.  (Pretty self explanatory I hope lol.)
Teleportation.  (Nothing too fancy here, just enough to get out of danger but it's exhausting to use since it uses the same amount of energy as if she had simply ran the same way.  Only able to use it on herself.)
Memory Sharing.  (This works both ways and requires a great deal of concentration.  She can share information this way but she can also receive information from whoever she is using this on.  Feelings and sensations also come along for the ride so it is kind of dangerous to use.)

Limitations/Weaknesses;  Drow elves have lived under ground for a very long time, and thus they have a hereditary weakness against bright lights or sudden flashes of light.  It causes migraines if prolonged exposure is endured as well as disorientation, dizziness, sometimes even nausea in extreme cases.  Spells require a level of calm and concentration as well as some spell components and even hand gestures/verbal commands.  If all of these requirements aren't met, then the spell being cast might be either reduced in power or won't work at all or they might even blow up in the caster's face.  Some caution need be applied.

Personality;  Giselle Do'Urden didn't have to deal with AS MUCH as the racial hatred that her father had to deal with, but three bad breakups in her past has left her a bit jaded towards love.  Otherwise, she is a passionate and honorable warrior, never one to say die or to give up the fight, no matter how stacked the odds might be against her or those she's fighting with.  Despite a rough beginning, Giselle is a strong hearted individual and she is one person who's trust, unless betrayed, you can rely upon for the rest of your days, however short that might be.
Ons;  (O/O Page for the most part.)  Passionate, slow, and stimulating all of her senses if she can get away with it.  Otherwise, some light bondage.
Offs;  Scat, watersports, vore, and gore.  (No chopping of limbs off or anything like that.  O/O page for everything else.)
Personal History/Origin Story;  Starting out in the mines of Mithral Hall, Giselle grew up among the tough and hearty dwarven folk along with her father and twin older brothers, (by a year,) the half Drow/light elf didn't get to know her mother long before illness took her away from them all.  Even so, and with the threat of war on the horizon, Giselle trained hard and fought harder, carving a name for herself as her father had before her, earning her rightful place as one of Toril's greatest heroes of all time, as did her brothers who followed her through most of her adventures.  About a century and a half ago however, they went their own ways, only coming together when there was great need for it.  Three bad relationships later, and Giselle has become a bit hard and unforgiving when it comes to certain things, but beyond that she's remained the same except far wiser and more experienced than most people could ever lay claim to.

Appearance;  5'7" 135 lbs slender but fit with high definition of muscles with mildly pointed ears easily visible when hair is pulled back into a ponytail.

    Were-Tiger: Shape change into half man half tiger or full tiger, with minor changes usually claws on finger tips. Greatly increased physical strength, speed and dexterity. Rapid healing. Heightened senses, hearing, and smell especially increased low light vision includes ultra violet light does not age, immune to most diseases.

Powers: First and foremost the ability to shape change into a tigerman and a full tiger.
When shape shifting his armor and equipment vanishes into a pocket dimension and returns when returning to his original form.
Armor is made of solidified shadows and gives him the ability to travel between shadows by teleporting from one to another over short distances.
Over years of wearing and dealing with shadows and darkness he has developed the ability to control shadows and darkness making it solid for use as defensive and offensive purposes.
The basic Ninja magics are primarily used for stealth and misdirection of no real use in open combat.

Chosen Weaponry: Katana is enchanted to be sharper, lighter, quicker, and virtually indestructible gives him the ability to almost always get the first strike. Throwing stars and spikes. 15' chain with weighted end and sickle like blade on other end.
Fighting Style;  Ninjitsu with a specialization in the katana, he is however master of several different styles and will change as necessary depending on the style of opponents.

Personality;  For the most part he is pretty stoic, as he was forced to take a tight rein on his emotions. He however is not without emotions. He is very slow to open up to new people. Even before he was cursed he had trouble being accepted so learned to avoid getting close. He can and does occasionally feel the need to just let loose and have fun with others. At these times he can be quite jovial or seductive depending on the situation and his mood. If he does open up and trust someone, it will a friendship he will be fiercely loyal to unless that trust is broken, then he will very slow to forgive.

He survived for several years on the streets of a large city. Sleeping where ever he could find shelter and taking whatever he could, until he was taken in by an old fighter and taught how to fight. From there he became an adventurer and gladiator, but his small frame did not lend to well to this. He then petitioned the knights for training, after training as a knight, he soon realized that this was not for him either. After wandering the countryside for more years than he cares to remember, he fell in with a band of rogues and learned their art. He finally found something he seemed to excel at, falling back on many of the things he learned when he first set out on his own. He soon tired of a thief’s life, and set out to be a hero. Once again wandering the countryside without direction, until he hears about the Ninjas.

After finding the ninja, he convinces them to teach him their trade. He excels at this like nothing else he has tried. After many years working with the ninja, he accepts a job of protecting a small village being terrorized by a wild beast. The beast turns out to be a tiger, but not just any tiger it is a weretiger with a hunger for human flesh. After the two of them meet, there is a long drawn out battle which leaves the beast dead and Tyger nearly so. Several months later when he got angry he changed for the first time and killed the subject of his anger. He was then forced to go on the run or be destroyed. Being a skilled ninja helped greatly in avoiding detection, but was still unable to settle anywhere.

After years with his curse he has developed some control over his change and can do so at will, but must still work hard to control his emotions.

Personality; When Elizabeth is not on a mission she is relaxed and has an open door type policy about people coming to see her or talk. She is a generally cool, calm, and collected at all times, making it sometimes hard to tell what she is actually thinking. She is a caring person that respects and trusts those that are under her command, she can be slightly protective of them as well. Though she is a caring person, she is often has a more serious outer attitude, hoping for the best inside and planning for the worst on the outside. During missions she takes on a different approach and attitude towards things. She is serious, straight forward, and can be commanding and demanding of those below her. She expects her orders to be followed and carried out to the best of her squads ability. She likes new solution to problems, but not putting herself or her squad in danger that could get them killed.

Her mother and father were both in the alliance military and so she spent most of her time going from station to station or other military posts. She never stayed more than a few years in any one location, meaning she was schooled with the help of home tutors from the military bases. She didn't have many friends aside from the ones she made at the military bases as she knew soon enough she would be leaving them. There were only a few children that were almost always with her and they were her closest and dearest friends, who she kept in contact with even after they were separated.
When Elizabeth could she joined the Alliance Navy, to follow in her parents foot steps. She excelled in school and in any situation that they put her in. Eventually she would graduate from the N7 special forces program for alliance system personal. Early in her military career she found herself facing an overwhelming enemy force. She risked her own life to save her fellow soldiers and defeat the enemy despite the impossible odds. Her bravery and heroism have earned she medals and recognition from the Alliance fleet. The War Hero almost single-handedly repelled an attack by batarian slavers on Elysium.

He also has close quarters training when and enemy get close enough.

Personality:     When on a mission he listens to any order given without question and never hesitates to take a shot. When not on a mission he is kind but alert and aware of his surroundings. He also shows very little emotion and is very quite making it hard to tell what he likes or thinks. He is never seen without his armor or helmet. He hates to take off any part of his armor feeling exposed and naked without it. He has a hard time trusting people after a mission where he was betrayed by his best friend which ended in his girl friends death and almost his as well this is one reason why he wears his armor all the time. When he befriends someone he is very protective and would lay down his life for that person. He is straight forward when he talks which sometime leads to fights in public places. He is pretty close minded about thing but can be talked into doing somethings.

Personal History/Origin Story: Grayham was born January 1st, 2153 CE  Dallas, Texas. His parents were high ranking officers in the military so he spent most of his life on a space ship/station called the Divine Wrath.  As he grew it was made obvious to him he was expected to be a great as his father General Wolff. Thought his childhood Grayham was pushed harder than other children. He was quickly placed into a special forces military training program and as expected, excelled. He also excelled in bookwork from normal school. He was everything his parents wanted him to be even though he only saw them once a month. By the time he reached high school he has made into a soldier and was sent out on missions. When he was twenty years old he was sent on a mission that most considered suicide. He was betrayed by his best friend, a turion named Xavius. He was the only survivor of the mission and they found Xavius's body riddled with bullets a day after finding  Grayham.After Grayham recovered he joined the Alliance Navy as soon as he could. He was placed in the N7 special forces program for his backround and he graduated from it eventually and now was being assigned to a ship called Normandy.
