I'm actually in the process of making a big meal for my wife. She wanted heavy so I am making smoked bbq ribs with cheese and bacon fries. She did a good job at the con she went to and made a good bit of money, so we are being fat kids tonight. Might even crack open my rum after work.

What sort of people do you think the Kingdom of Vaelent would send through the fog passage?  Would they pick reliable people, or would they send expendable types?

Expendable people to start hands down. If these succeed and it works out they will send better people later, but that's only if they succeed!

Likely gave him a pardon and said for the good of the kingdom he will go and help make a colony and defend it. He would be forced to take it or immediate execution.
