Kindle Fire not loading E anymore

So I have an old first gen Kindle Fire e-book.

I use it for two things:
1. reading books (duh, obviously)
2. Checking to see if I have new posts / PMs here on elliquiy.

At some point in the last week or two (I don't know when I don't check E from there regularly) it just stopped loading Elliquiy.  It just says the site is offline or I have no connection.  Obviously it's not a connection issue as I can load plenty of other things, just not this site.  Anyone else having this problem or know what's up with it?

Are other websites working on the Fire?

yupperonie.

I didn't surf around much, but checked google, did a google search for 'egyptian cotton'  (I was in bed, it was the first thing i thought of) and everything looked normal on the search and a few sites that popped up after the search.  I checked one or two other sites that I could think of.   Didn't notice any other sites not working.

My Paperwhite loads Elliquiy.

What message are you getting exactly?

It's worth pointing out it says this on any elliquiy page, not just bookmarks.

Also i did try clearing cache and cookies before anyone asks.

Have you tried loading it from www.elliquiy.com instead of using a bookmark?

I noticed it has an open lock symbol but the page is https. I don't know if that's a result of the page just not loading but I'd start by trying to load the main page and go from there (perhaps after clearing cookies if you can).

I tried after clearing browser cache and cookies too.  It's very strange.

Someone had this issue with Google and it sounds like the same sort of problem (with one web site not working):

Maybe try what they did and block cookies, then unblock them?

Still nothing. 


It's not the biggest deal in the world, a minor annoyance at the worst.  But it's strange.  It was working fine a few weeks ago, and now Elliquiy is the only site that ive gone too that won't work on the old kindle fire.
