My external HD failed tonight, which I guess wasn't a surprise, as it was 3.5 years old..

The problem was that ALL my music was on it.


I managed to find a program to reverse sync my ipod back to my computer but I'm out $30.

Just a suggestion all, back up the stuff you need to back up, you won't know what you're missing till you're missing it :P

I tried putting it in disc mode, but no matter what I tried, the dang music files wouldn't show up.. :/

Oh well, now the fun part. Re-rating 1600 songs :P

That would be why I burn my mp3's to a cd.  I also keep backup copies in a shared network folder.  I don't trust computers to not break down on me.  I also keep my fan fic chapters on a flash drive.
