By the year 2098 the world has become so polluted that the sixth extinction is unavoidable. Mankind will die from famine, sickness and wars. Scientists, military and big business join together to form the EDEN project. Teens and young adults from all over the world are selected, tested and trained, and eventually placed in cryogenic suspension in huge underground laboratories. Stockpiles of food, clothing and weapons are sealed in with them. As they lie in their icy tomb, the world above them slowly dies. Ages pass, and the machinery that was supposed to protect them fails. Most of the suspension chambers shut down, killing everyone and everything inside.

Meanwhile, the earth above recovers from centuries of abuse by human kind. New forests grow, new plants and animals evolve. The world becomes an unspoilt paradise again.

Enter the survivors: One of the cryogenic chambers remained intact, and the small number of inhabitants emerge. All their stockpiles are destroyed though, and they are truly alone, naked and on a very alien planet, that was once their species' home. they emerge from the caves into a forest glade. With fresh clean water, and abundant edible plants and fruits, even some small game. But there are also predators around. And with no weapons and technology the group is completely on their own.

This RPG is something I've been wanting to play for a long time, but never really found time to work it out, until now. Basically I'm looking for a group of players who will assume the role of young talented people, tasked with rebuilding and repopulating the world. Surviving in a world that was once their own, but is now very alien.

Characters would be relatively athletic, and possess several skills one would need when rebuilding society, however they lack the tools to do so. So they are stuck being modern people in the stone age, reinventing the wheel so to speak.

Characters can be from all over the world, any ethnicity, gender, sexuality, but they are all between 16 and 26 years of age, have above average intelligence and physique, and each has a few specialist skills, like frontier medicine, hunting, bread making, sewing, leatherworking, and so on.

Character sheet:

name:
appearance: (pics or full description)
age: (16 to 26 the younger the more adaptable)
personality and brief history:
special skills:

Yep... I thought so. I want to write with you. Nice premise. I'm in.

I'll get a character up late tonight, baby.

Is there truth in emotion or is it so blatantly false that it moves and stretches us to become the monster tomorrow that we foster today?

Thanks beautiful, I'll be waiting.

Okay, with 5 people so far approved, and Pipaluk and Izabella both working on a sheet, I'll leave this open for between 1 and 3 people to join, after which I'll lock recruitment. I'll do the opening post on Tuesday. Meanwhile, please enjoy the OoC, and don't hesitate if you have any questions.

Aw, thanks. I'll get one done soon.

Tamhansen

Ok with 7 accepted characters, and Pipaluk expected to send a character in soon, I'm no longer actively recruiting, but anyone with a good concept might be able to join.

I'd be mostly interested in a homemaker but really any concept that fits the setting will be valued.

I'll start the first IC post tomorrow morning U.S. time (afternoon for me) And I'll have a basic setup of the area done by then in the OC area.

Looks interesting. I can check it out further when I get home. Maybe I can do a female homemaker type of character.
