Hi,

I am wondering if BB Code supports table options like the following:

wordwrap
border
cellspacing
cellwidth
Align

if it does not, is there any work around?

Thank you.

HP?[/td][/tr][/table]

I think the only sensible option is to allow users to specify a table class, and submit table classes for me to include in the stylesheet. Trying to figure out how to handle people posting multiple tables in a single post with that is a logistical nightmare - there's no way for me to assign a unique class to each one to make that feasible.

Would it be too disturbing to allow HTML coding in the posts to parse, Veks?

The way SMF is right now, yes. >_> It's partly security, partly the well-orderedness of the site. On the wiki, if you mess up someone's page they can just go back and fix it. Here you'd have to beg the poster above you - or a staff member - to fix a broken tag. We have enough of those problems with hotlinked images, as is. The alternative is to encourage absolutely atrocious, tedious coding.

Anything too complex belongs in the new CMS, regardless : )

Ok, then. Was just an idea. :(

I do want to give people that sort of freedom, but I don't think it's going to come while we're still on SMF : /

*hugs*
