Re-duex-Classics with a twist-looking for critique

Looking for a writer to help me learn how better to craft a tale. Not necessary to be smut, though I do not mind it.

I am looking for exercises in writing short stories. The kind of stories we all have read in the past as literary classics. I have heard we can learn from the classic authors by imitation. Not seeking to plagiarize as much as I am to learn. These are not meant for publication.

You can do this as a co writer or a critic, I do not mind which. It is not necessary to be a English major. I would appreciate helpful criticism.

I know this seems like an odd request. I am just looking for help in polishing my writing.
