Mass Effect: Legacy || A Sandbox ME Universe RP with Plot

Game Links
OOC

In this time, there is no Shepard; great soldier and hero to every inhabitant in the universe. In this time, Reapers do not torment or live as just a mere horror legend to scare organic beings. What takes place now, in this Mass Effect Universe, is something unexpected – but not completely. Remember the Thorian? You know the giant plant like species that could just mind control and duplicate any organic species within their range? The Thorian has reached heights that no one thought possible for such stationary, plant like species. The Exogeni Corporation and its employees, along with the Feros colony, have worked alongside the Thorian as mind slaves. Against their will, the Exogeni employees have started to spread Thorian seeds to different organic colonies in attempt to control and dominant every lesser species in the galaxy. The process is slow, but happening under Alliance and Council radar.

It is up to new found heroes to get to the root of the problem and stop it from spreading. There will be challenges; however, many players will face enemies and those willing to assist the Thorian to achieve its ultimate goal. The most frightening thing is not knowing exactly what they’re capable of. The Thorian, which was already an established intelligent species, can now transfer and alter organic appearance through sexual means. That’s right folks – we have some real Alien shit going on here.

What our people do now will be the Legacy they leave behind for the universe. If they fail, then the legacy left to future generations will be enthrallment under a being akin to a God. If they win, they pave the way for a peaceful galaxy. One the Stargazer would be proud to tell a story of.

Game Notes

•   The Mass Effect universe is open as a massive playground for everyone to explore. So basically it is a sandbox game with a plot, but not necessarily an ending.
•   This is story driven with tons of character interaction and a few well-known NPCs
•   The story will not have a Shepard mentioned or even in it. The Reapers do not and have not ever existed, and there is no Genophage either. This is only so that players who have not finished the games or playing through them can avoid as many spoilers as possible.
•   For the sake of keeping this game sexy and not vomit inducing….there will be certain races that I will not allow for main characters, such as; Volus, Vorcha, Elcor, Hanar, Yahg, etc
•   Despite no Shepard and no Reapers, other entities and organizations will still exist, for example The Shadow Broker (galactic information dealer), Cerberus (Extremist Human Advancement Group), etc...
•   I don’t trust anyone who has a Space Cow
This group game will take place in extreme for the sake of making this RP as real to the ME world as possible. HOWEVER this does not mean I will allow sick shit (imo) in the game. This goes for; vore, scat, bathroom play in general, snuff, death of characters without player consent and anything players don’t agree to beforehand.
•   Certain Canon's will be available for play and NPC's. You can view the list in the later posts which will be written up by Juggtacular. If you have any questions, please feel free to message either of us.

Rules

•      Please follow E’s Rules and I shall be a happy camper.
•   Your GM for this game will be me (la dame en noir). If you have any questions regarding this game and its format or any issues with any of the players, please contact me.
•   Backseat GMing will not be tolerated in this game. We appreciate and welcome feedback and suggestions, but anything beyond that will be swift kick in the rear.
•   All character profiles can be posted here, but must be PM’d for official approval. When PMing your character profile please label it as your character’s name.
•   Questions regarding this game can be posted here or pmed directly to me.
•   Drama is not allowed in the Interest thread or OOC. Disagreements and debates are welcome, but berating, nitpicking, or otherwise being very mean to any of the players will not be tolerated.
•   We are open to character and mission ideas. Just PM us a premise and we can see about working it into the game.  That way, they can make their own missions from time to time. Give the players a bit of interactive control.
•   This is a literate roleplay which means….I expect quality in everyone’s post. Please take the time to make at least 3 to 4 paragraphs a post, if it’s 1 paragraph or a few sentences, I will think that you’re not interested in the story or character development.
•   I do not expect everyone to post 10 times a day, 7 days a week. I do however expect players to put a little time and dedication into the roleplay. If you’re in a scene with someone, do not leave them hanging for weeks at a time. Please be courtesy and let us all know if you have to take time away and will be back. Real life happens, shit happens – I understand.

GM Profiles as an Example

Taevia Mortis - Asari Ardat-Yakshi by la dame en noir
Player Name: la dame en noir
Name: Taevia Mortis
Age: 400 years old – she is a matron
Race: Asari | Ardat-Yakshi
Gender: Physically Female, by human standards
Sexuality: Not something she can engage in, but she prefers those of the female variety.
Home Planet: Thessia

Appearance: Taevia stands at five feet eight inches in height. She is a curvaceous Asari, which many of her victims find most alluring about her. Her eyes are a steel blue and she has white dotted markings covering around her eyes and place over her scalp. Taevia prefers to wear dark clothing, sometimes leather and other garments which make her alluring to the eye. Appearances can fool a lot of people.

Affiliation: Herself, occasionally she dabbles with Aria.
Weapons: Acolyte]Heavy Pistol
Power: Singularity, Throw, and Shockwave

Background/Personality: Taevia Mortis was born as a pure blood Asari in a world where being pure blood was frowned upon. Growing up, Taevia did not understand why she got so much flak from society because of her background and her parents often kept things very vague for her. She was different from the other Asari, but she didn’t know why. She was teased relentlessly by other Asari children and often pushed herself away from most people when she was in their presence. She was strange, but highly intelligent – using her free time to study her biotic powers.

During her first part of her early stages as a matron, Taevia fell in love with a Quarian female she met during the girl’s pilgrimage. The Asari was attracted to her inability to ever be able to physically touch her for fear of sickness, but she loved the girl’s out-going personality and quick witted way of talking. Coming from Thessia, she had very little interaction with other alien species and found her to be quite intriguing.

Taevia discovered her condition through means that destroyed her from the inside out. When her lover finally agreed to be intimate with her, she killed her. Taevia did not know how or why, but there she was - lying dead in her arms after convulsing violently for thirty seconds. Frightened, she left her lover in hopes that someone else would find her and escaped immediately from Omega to Thessia to confront her parents. Once there, her parents explained that she was in fact an Ardat-Yakshi and when she is intimate with another, they will die on contact.

The news not only devastated Taevia, but shaped who she is now. She left Thessia after the attempt to keep her in a sanctuary and is now rogue throughout the terminus systems and currently resides in Omega. With news of the Thorian and its goal, she hopes to persuade it to help all bring Ardat-Yakshi peace and proper place in the universe. She will do anything and everything to achieve this goal.

Goal: Taevia has no real goal. She is simply evil because society has taught her to hate. The once loving and caring girl is now on a rampage to kill or be killed. She does not kill in massive quantities, but she picks her victims carefully. Taevia feels that the Thorian is the Ardat-Yakshi’s answer to a normal life and she will do anything and everything to help it achieve its goal.

Ons: She can’t be intimate with anyone – though there are these human inventions called Dildos. Taevia is an aggressive and dominant character. If she wanted to fuck someone without killing them(women only) she would use toys and would never kiss or touch them otherwise.
Offs: Nothing to put here, she won’t be fucking many people to begin with.

Other Information & Resources

As Mass Effect takes place just as much in the galaxy surrounding these worlds as the worlds themselves, having a means of transportation is extremely important. Can't stay stuck on Virmire your whole life now can you? There is a set ship class system in place in the Mass Effect universe; one which we will employ(with a bit of tweaking). However as the larger varieties of ship(Cruiser, Carrier, Dreadnought, etc...) are only for pitched battles and for higher ranked people, they're unnecessary aside from GM/NPC use.

Ship Classes

Fighter - A one person spacecraft designed for up close combat and skirmishes. These ships are small, fast, and extremely maneuverable. They lack heavy firepower and shielding, but more than make up for that with blinding speed and maneuverability. If properly outfitted, they can do some decent damage against Freighters and Frigates, although you'll rarely see a Fighter go in for the kill. (Think X-Wing)

Freighter - A larger craft that is not only highly customizable, but boasts incredible speed and combat capabilities. While much larger than a Fighter, a Freighter can still be fully operated by a single person. Some Freighters may even house a  fighter or two if their cargo hold is large enough. (Think Ebon Hawk)

Frigate - The same class of ship as the Normandy SR-1 and SR-2. These ships are the perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, and power for their size. Nobody may have a ship of a higher class than a Frigate, and we are only allowing 2 of these starting out, as these ships are fairly large and require a decent crew to function at full capacity.(30+) Your character will need a good reason to have a ship this size.

Beginner's Guide to the world of Mass Effect

This post was made by Juggtacular over a year ago and I'm going to keep it here for reference!

Hey everybody, I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man co-GM, Juggtacular! And this list is essentially here to help those of you who like the concept and are interest in Mass Effect, but haven't played the trilogy or read the books or all of that other tedious stuff to really get the feel of how it works. So I've basically compiled some basic stuff to help you understand how things work better so the game and the posts read better.

For example, despite being the future, there are no such thing as "blaster rifles" like in Star Wars. Instead bullets the size of a grain of sand are shaved off of a block of metal within the gun and accelerated through micro mass effect fields like "hyper bullets". A paint chip accelerated with a large enough mass effect field can impact with the force of a nuclear weapon. Awesome right?! Well there's lots of stuff like that and my job is to help make it a bit more user friendly. I'll be giving descriptions, but will have links as well so you can go more in depth if you so choose. Here we go!

Mass Effect Fields: The game got it's name from the titular "Mass Effect" Field that essentially makes moving around the universe possible and a ton of other useful things. A mass effect field is generated when "Element Zero", or Eezo, a rare material is subjected to powerful electric currents. The reaction is the creation of "Dark Energy" which allows a Mass Effect field to be created. They're called Mass Effect fields as the mass of anything within the field can be affected by adding a positive or negative electrical charge. Positive current makes the mass increase, negative makes it decrease. [Mass Effect Field]

Element Zero: Element Zero, also known as "eezo", is a rare material that, when subjected to an electrical current, releases dark energy which can be manipulated into a mass effect field, raising or lowering the mass of all objects within that field. A positive current increases mass, a negative current decreases it. This "mass effect" is used in countless ways, from generating artificial gravity to manufacturing high-strength construction materials. It is most prominently used to enable faster-than-light space travel without causing time dilation. In it's dust form, exposure to eezo in utero can strengthen the chances of a child being born with Biotic capabilities. Although just as often, if not more so it has no effect or just results in cancer. [Eezo]

Weaponry: All firearms of all shapes and sizes in this day and age are powered by Mass Accelerators, leaving the archaic concept of gunpowder(and whatever methods non-human races used) and such a thing of the past. Put simply, the Mass Accelerator in a weapon(pistol or a ships main gun) uses a combination of electromagnetics to launch the projectile like a rail gun, and in conjunction with a mass effect field, said projectile can have it's mass reduced to allow for higher travel speeds which translates to much higher velocity. Ammunition is no longer a problem as thousands of rounds can be spat out from a single "ammo block", a cube of metal housed within the weapon that has a piece shaved off to serve as ammunition. However, this method causes extreme heat buildup, so "Thermal Clips" are used to absorb that heat, then ejected from the weapon so it can continue firing normally.[Mass Accelerator] / [Weapons]

Mass Relay: The Mass Relay's are those giant, mysterious monolith's just floating out in deep space. However each one is nearly indestructible(made from the same stuff as the Citadel), and makes travel through the many galaxies of the universe possible. Even at FTL(Faster-than-Light) speeds, going from one end of one galaxy to the other would take centuries, much less traveling to a different portion of the universe. The Relays bypass this limitation by creating a tunnel of sorts between two Relays. One that makes everything inside virtually free of mass. By reducing the mass of a ship to 0, it can reach speeds far beyond even FTL, which allows one to literally go from one corner of creation to the other in a matter of days at the most. [Mass Relay]

Kinetic Barriers: Called "shields" colloquially through the universe, Kinetic Barriers are in essence, mass effect fields generated around a person or thing through generators that cause most things launched by a mass accelerator to be deflected. Essentially it's a bulletproof shield for whatever you have it around. However a barrier can only take so much damage before being forcibly shut down and needing to recharge. [Kinetic Barrier]

Biotics: Biotics is the process an organic being creating naturally creating mass effect fields to effect the environment around them. It is also the title put on anyone who possesses the ability. i.e., "Dwayne is a biotic". While Asari are all naturally born with varying levels of Biotic power, every other race must be helped along by exposure to eezo while in utero. If successful the biotic will develop nodules throughout their nervous system that actually generate element zero, which in turn allows the person to manipulate that to fuel their biotic abilities by focusing the electric current generated from brain commands and releasing dark energy which is used to manipulate the environment. But for these abilities to actually be effective, biological amplifiers are surgically implanted throughout the body to increase the power generated. Again, as Asari are naturally biotic, they have no need for the bio-amps. [Biotics]

[Races] - This is a link that leads to information on every race and creature in the Mass Effect universe. Simply click on one to learn all you need to know about them.

Of course there's far more to expand upon, but I don't think I can handle making a list that'll end up being 4 pages long. So if you have any further questions, feel free to drop me a line!

While we love OC's, we also realize how tempting it is to play canons. Not all of them will be available due to reasons like running a planet, but a majority are open to be played.

NPC: Urdnot Wrex, Aria T'Loak, Liara T'Soni, Samara, The Shadow Broker, The Citadel Council, General Hackett

Playable: Kaiden Alenko, Miranda Lawson, Jacob Taylor, Kasumi Goto, Garrus Vakarian, Ashley Williams, Thane Krios, Kai Leng, , Subject "Jack" Zero(PM for info), Zaeed Massani, Mordin Solus, James Vega, Nihlus Kyrik, Saren Arterius, Tali'Zorah nar Rayya

NOTICE: These lists are not all encompassing. If you have any questions about a character not on this list, feel free to PM la dame or myself and we'll be happy to give you an answer on whether they're available to be picked up or not.

Announcement!!

There are a multitude of jobs available to your characters, however everybody can't be C-Sec or a Spectre, etc, etc... So we're implementing a limit on important job types for the time being.

Spectre: For the moment, we will be accepting a maximum amount of 4 Spectres, not including my character. Keep in mind that Council Races tend to get preferential treatment to be made Spectres. i.e. Human, Asari, Turian, or Salarian at the moment, and on a case by case basis we will look at any inquiries to make a non-council race a Spectre, like a Krogan, Quarian or Batarian.

Systems Alliance Officer: About 6 or 7 of these at most. This covers any position within the Alliance like "Pilot", "Soldier", "Medic", "Spec-Ops", etc...

Council Officer: This includes any job where you report in some way to the Council. C-Sec, Citadel Fleet, Salarian STG, Council Demilitarization Enforcement Mission(who work with Tuchanka's government to keep the checks and balances running that allows Krogan out into the galaxy), etc... About the same as the Alliance, so 6 or 7.

Cerberus: 5, maybe 6 Cerberus operatives will be allowed. Anyone Cerberus must be human. Remember they're pro-human to the point of near racism.

Geth: 3 at max for the moment(including Legion with some tweaking). Any playable Geth will be in the extreme minority as 99.9% of them remain behind the Perseus Veil to stay away from the organics who they feel will continue to attack them simply for existing. The remaining percent available to characters would be free thinkers who realize that organics fear AI for the potential they represent to replace them, but not all of them will attack on sight or try to obliterate them. They would be the few that have the courage to leave the veil so to speak.

All other positions like Mercenary, Freelancer, Hacker, Omega Gang Member, etc... are free to as many people that want them. If it's a specialized position like you want to report directly to Aria or something like that, feel free to PM la dame or myself with your proposal.

As the RP grows, the limits will of course be expanded upon to allow for more people.

If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.

Definitely interested! I'll have a more fleshed out character concept posted here shortly... I have an idea for a Drell priestess who has left the temple to find her true place in the world before Kepral's syndrome.

Player name:writersmelody
Name: Fiyan Feal
Nickname: Fee
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Race: Drell
Homeworld: Kahje

Appearance: See Image

Job Title/Occupation: Medic/Translator/Interpreter- she is a medic and the Drell's eidetic memory means she is fluent in several languages of different species
Class Specialization:  Sentinel Medic
Affiliation: N/A

Weapons: Razer pistol
Powers: Throw
                          Barrier
                          Stasis
                          First Aid
                          Medicine

Personality: Fiyan is intelligent, even for a drell and has always been interested in the wider world, even if she was happy to serve the gods of her people. She was completely devoted to them. The gods used to speak to her or at least she believed they did. Since they stopped, she's felt a bit lost. She thought her place was to serve as their priestess. However, after being told by her gods that her place was not in the temple and her diagnosis of Kepral's syndrome, her faith is somewhat shaken. Was it the gods she was hearing? Or something else? Was it all in her head?

She is eager to have the chance to see and experience as much of the universe as she can during whatever time she has left. She picks up languages especially fast. There is so much pain and suffering in the world; her training as a priestess and a medic allow her to do something to alleviate it. That is what she is living for now. She hires herself out to different individuals or groups as a translator or a medic on various diplomatic or trader. She tries always to find the beauty in the people around her and wherever she is. She doesn't always succeed and she can be vicious when she perceives that someone has let her down. She has little patience for... anything really and tends to be quite blunt. She doesn't have time to waste. The hanar and other drell who embrace the old ways have her loyalty and support almost unquestioningly.

Background: Fiyan was born on Kahje. When her parents died of Kepral's syndrome in relatively short succession, with no other family to take her in, she was sent to the temple to serve the pantheon the drell worship. It is no wonder that she embraced the gods as much as she did. In the temple, she was educated. She was raised to be a servant of the gods and her people. She was content in her role.

She was especially interested in medicine and first aid. She showed quite a knack for it too. Eventually she started to venture out to different communities among the drell and hanar who needed the services of a medic. And as she grew, she started to hear what she believed to be the voice of the gods. Was it the gods? Or something else? She used to believe it was the gods, granting her insight and their favor. None of her patients ever died. Some of their recoveries were almost miraculous.

It was about a year ago when the gods told her that she needed to leave, to venture into the wider world. It was there she would find her place. But once she left, they went silent. For a time, it was good. She enjoyed traveling and offering herself as a translator/interpreter or medic allowed her to do some good. Then she started having some trouble catching her breath. The doctor confirmed her suspicions. She developed Kepral's syndrome. Her faith is shaken but not her desire to do as much as she could with whatever time she has left. She is going to make the most of it.

Universal translators make actual translators pretty redundant for the most part, just so you know.  Of course, it might help if the GMs didn't repeat their stuff in three different posts.  I'm just letting you know Dame that you repeated your ship list and some of your definitions a few times, but yeah, the universe has UI implants, but it's still a good idea to have a translator anyway because people still have to program and update the electronic dictionary for each language and its variations, but the common ones are pretty much mapped out.

I might join this game despite having a fairly large list already, but I might wait and see if we get anyone else first before throwing my hat into the ring.  I don't want to get my hopes up like last time and then get into the group only for nobody to really post anything.  I'm not blaming you or Jugg by any means, I'm just being cautious because this looks like it could be a lot of fun, and I'd rather not have my hopes dashed twice.

I'm going to say this flat out. If you're worried, don't join. It's not a big deal and I won't fault you for it. In fact, I'm still making edits and this game went well until I had some major life issues come up. I can't force people to post, but expect it from every player.

I also won't take kindly to anyone talking at me, which is what you're doing it. Drives me away from my idea and makes it hard for me to keep me interested in something I had already invested in. I'm the GM, Jugg is not apart of this anymore, he has his RL issues to deal with.

As for a repeated post, I already knew and I had already deleted it.

That is all.

Thanks for the headsup Vergil1989! I hadn't even considered that. You do have a point about them having to be updated and programmed too, though, so I hope we can still work with the concept. Maybe she also helps with some of that programming or adding to the dictionaries?

Yay! And feel free to play with the whole hearing her gods thing as much as you like. :D

Yeah, I really liked him too. Broke my heart. "Why did he say "her" in that prayer?" "Because the prayer was for you." </3 I almost romanced him in ME2 but Kaiden was my boo the whole way through. That also broke my heart...

As much as I like Jugg as a person, I'm honestly happy to hear he isn't a GM or even a player for this one truth be told Dame, but as for talking at you I'm sorry for starting out like that.  You didn't deserve that, but I also agree with your statement regarding what unfortunately happened during the Korra sandbox game.  So, if you'll still allow me to stick around, I'll try to get a character going tomorrow once I've gotten some sleep since it's pretty late on this end at the moment.  That's not why I came in a bit rough, since you I have no problem with in the slightest as a person or as a GM, although it doesn't excuse me regardless of who I was truly if understandably not a fan of when I saw his name in the first couple of posts even if he had a legitimate excuse.  Anyway, I'll shut up and let it go since it's done and over with.

Apology aside, you're welcome for the help there Melody and I hope I haven't soured the mood too much for anyone here.  As for Thane, I loved the guy as well, but if someone decides to use Kai Leng, and I'm accepted of course, chances are he'll be the first person I go after lol.  My usual go to pairing though was FemShep and Liara.  I love Garrus and Tali was always that cute sister type of character for me, but something about the asari archeologist turned Shadow Broker always felt right to me.

I'm in!

Heading into work, and I haven't had my coffee get so I may have missed this, are we allowed multiple characters at the start? Or should we keep it to one for now?

Have two or three Mass Effect CS's made up I like using, hoping to maybe use two of them, but understandable if I can only use one ^^;

Vergil1989

I'm going to likely stick with an asari.  I have nothing against humans or anything, but I'll always have a fondness for the sexy blue aliens lol.  Besides, just because they're monogendered doesn't mean they can't have fun on occasion.  ;D  And Ace, pleasure to see you here buddy, it's been a long while.  I'll poke at this as the day progresses, but with this sinus headache I've been fighting for the better part of a week and going on a second, it might be a while.

Vergil1989
Name:  Alura D'Venus
Nickname: (if they have one)
Age:  126 years old, still young by asari standards
Gender:  'Female', but all asari are monogendered
Sexuality:  Bisexual but has a strong preference for women of almost any race, although not so much for other asari.  (Has a fondness for quarians, drell, and humans however, and not necessarily in that order.)
Race:  Asari
Homeworld:  Illium
Appearance: Alura's body is a perfect example of a life in service to the things she has devoted herself to.  Whether that passion and drive was geared towards her fifty plus years in the asari military, or her few years of dancing on a stage for credits and the lusts and passions of a crowd of partygoers, she gave it her all, and her densely packed, streamlined dancer's grace and musculature are evidence of this lifestyle.  Every movement is aa study in fluidic grace and elegance not often seen outside of the asari,  but Alura makes it look perfectly natural rather than forced as is sometimes the case.  A series of swirls and black lines are visible down her right arm, the right side of her face, partially across her lower neck and collarbone, around the right lower side of her flat stomach, and down her right thigh and around her sex that further accentuate her deadly if beautiful dancer's physique.  White tribal markings that follow the natural curves of her headcrest can also be seen on her smooth, almost purple skinned face with deep, sea blue eyes and a pair of soft lips that are used to smiling and laughing regularly when they aren't otherwise engaged, often with another woman from another species.

Typically, Alura tends to dress in a very relaxed fashion when she's not on a mission.  When she's not in her asari commando styled light armor leathers that are typically all black in her case, Alura favors human styled T-shirts that allow her to keep her midriff bare, along with sweaters, hoodies, even shorts and form fitting jeans although she also has a small collection of much more traditional asari robes and dresses, mixed in with a few stripper outfits and lingerie outfits from her brief stint as a dancer after she retired from active service.

Job Title/Occupation: Vanguard
Class Specialization:  (Shock Trooper)
Affiliation:  Asari Huntresses, loyal to the Citadel Council.

Weapons:  A pair of M-5 Phalanx pistols on her hips as well as a M-27 Scimitar she carries on her back.
Powers:  Shockwave
Charge
Warp
Assault Mastery
Barrier and its Specialization
Personality:  Alura knew what she wanted to be as soon as she could understand what it meant.  She grew up on stories about her grandmother and her asari commando friends, saving innocent people, freeing slaves, and destroying bad guys wherever they decided to rear their ugly heads, which unfortunately numbered mostly among the batarians and krogans more often than not during those days.  While the reality wasn't quite what Alura had expected at the time, she still kept that passion and drive to help people first and foremost, although she now understands the cost it often takes on a person's soul to go to war against pirates, slavers, and worse.  Despite having lost friends before she eventually retired from active duty, although she still takes the occasional mission from time to time, Alura still possesses a love and thrill for life and adventure, but it's tempered by her experiences in the Asari Huntresses.  And despite having seen the worst the galaxy has to offer, Alura has also seen the beauty of it and its many peoples, their strengths and creativity, their loves and their passions, which she has often even shared in since she's still a maiden at her core.

While she might not seem like an efficient killing machine on the surface with over thirty years of training and another twenty in service to the asari military, Alura's love for life is only matched by her discipline mind and surgical precision when the bullets start flying as she utterly dismantles anything that gets in the way of her allies or saving innocent bystanders.  She understands that sometimes the path to peace requires good people to do horrible things, and if she has to do those things so others can sleep peacefully, she'll get the job done to the best of her ability.  That doesn't mean she likes violence or death and destruction though, and she has endured her share of sleepless nights, but nothing so traumatic that a couple of drinks of light alcohol and some companionship with the fairer sex hasn't been able to fix...thus far at any rate.
Background:  Alura D'Venus was born on Illium before her asari parents moved out to the asari home world of Thessia to be closer to her matriarchal grandmother in her final years.  It was here, amidst the monolithic and ancient cities of her people steeped in its rich culture and beautiful pieces of art, music, and more, that Alura first learned about the years her grandmother spent as an asari commando, those most venerated and respected of warriors, right up there with the Justicars, among her people.  She quickly grew enraptured with all of her grandmother's stories of infiltrating pirate dens, of sabotaging illegal red sand factories, of freeing slaves from the batarians, and countless other stories that her grandmother didn't censor as much as her parents would have liked.  But Alura would come to appreciate the old woman's honesty and candor in her later years when she joined the Huntresses straight after her school years were over, despite her parents' efforts to persuade her to settle down, or at the least see the galaxy for a couple decades before devoting herself to such a life, but Alura wouldn't listen.  She had always known what she was going to do with her life, and she went after her dreams with both hands open.

Training was difficult but rewarding for the young maiden as she saw more of the galaxy than she might have otherwise been able to do on a dancer's salary.  And while she didn't get to enjoy life in quote the same way as her parents did while they had been maidens themselves, Alura still grew to love the various people she encountered throughout her years before and after she had finished training, which took a total of thirty years, and happily devoted the next twenty three years of her life to serving her fellow sisters in the Huntresses.  While the reality of military life was a little more gruesome and taxing on her spirit than her grandmother had warned her it would be, Alura hadn't gone in completely blind to the dangers or the costs either as she did her part in making the galaxy a little brighter despite every mission she had been a part of always ending in at least a dozen enemy kills before it was over.  A raid on a batarian slave den when she was 119 was her hardest and most difficult mission to date, it was also her last, since they knew they were coming.  Despite having been tipped off to their presence, her squad was still able to save most of the human, asari, krogan, and turian slaves they came across before it was over, but the cost had almost been too much for Alura because she ended up losing her best friend as well as her asari lover during the assault.  Not only that, but while she had seen the inside of a batarian slaver den before, these particular batarians had been far less kind to their 'property' than most she had seen up to that point.

She still has the occasional nightmare regarding the things she has seen and experienced during that time, but the past seven years has been enough to give her a chance to heal and come to terms with most of it.  That and meeting a drell by the name of Fiyan Feal during her travels, who's faith, while shaken because of her terminal disease, is still quite strong and a thing of beauty to behold in Alura's less than humble opinion.  While Alura isn't a strong believer in anything she can't see or touch herself, she has often talked at length about such topics with those that find comfort in the divine or the equivalent thereof, finding such conversations a window into exploring and understanding another person's culture and those things they hold dear to their hearts.  Besides, if it helps someone to face each day with confidence to believe in something, she isn't about to get in the way of them seeking such comfort and motivation to keep going.

Ons:  Gentle/sensual/sweet lovemaking, scalp and oil massages, being teased and caressed, blindfolds, omni-cuffs, light to medium bondage, scratching, heavy petting with or without clothes, strip teasing, and using her biotics in the bedroom or having the favor returned if her partner is similarly gifted.  (For the rest, check O/O page.)
Offs:  Watersports, scat, incest, non-con, blood play, indentured servants, extreme pain, gore, etc.  (See O/O page for more comprehensive list.)

Connections:  Fiyan Feal -To be discussed
Notes:  She understands and even accepts that indentured servitude is a good alternative to imprisonment for debts accrued that would need to be paid or as an alternative to community service, but what Alura has never really liked about the idea is how often more unscrupulous people have found ways to make it near complete slavery.  Given her experiences in hunting down batarian slavers, she realizes her opinion is likely biased, but she tends to avoid Illium as much as possible because otherwise she might be compelled to try and save any abused indentured servants she comes across.

Actual slaves are a given however.  She will always advocate their rescue first and foremost because she has seen enough suffering in the galaxy to last her a lifetime.  The complete eradication of slavery would go a long way to making the galaxy a better place, but until then, she has no problem whatsoever in hunting down known slavers anywhere in the galaxy.  She always checks the Wanted lists on every planet and space station she visits just in case she gets lucky, and if she happens to find one, she's perfectly fine with torturing then for information on the location of any allies they might have, the location of their base if she hasn't already found it, and anything else she'd deem necessary.

I'm not finished with my girl, but I have a decent start to her.  Just wanted to be sure what I did have was alright though before I got too far, but also to ask a question La Dame.  I had the thought that Alura was exposed to Thorian spores, but instead of seizing control of her mind and body, I was entertaining the idea it gave her a slight mutation instead, specifically the ability to grow a futa cock or make it disappear as she likes.  She'd still potentially be able to be completely overtaken by the Throian like anyone else, but I just thought it might be fun to make her be the odd one in some small but potentially very fun way, but if you'd rather I didn't I'll just stick to a regular asari.

la dame en noir

I made this game over a year ago and those that were interested hadn't finished the entire series. SO, to avoid spoilers, I took out key elements to the game. I think, that now we're getting ready for Andromeda, that putting them back into this game shouldn't be a problem.

How does everyone feel about me putting either the genophage back or the cure for the genophage in? Also, reapers. Since the threat in this roleplaying game is the Thorian. I can either acknowledge that these sentient beings exist or there isn't much knowledge about them - however, there isn't a threat, since that would require much finer detail.

I'd say that having the genophage be a thing again would make sense. Removing it from having happened changes a rather significant bit of the timeline, after all...It'd be hard to say what would have happened without it having been used. And searching for a cure for it could be an interesting plot point down the lines.

The Reapers...I think it'd be more fun leave them out, in my opinion. Otherwise, there could be stuff like "Oh, I wanna be the new Shepard!"

Just my thoughts on it all ^^;

TheLaughingOne

could modify it some.. rather then uber aggressive wipe out everything reapers they are more looking to "assimilate" not quite borg..

Cut back on Cronenbergian body horror, them pusshing a more "perfection of the physical form" You can see giant reaper ships floating through space, and rather then flat out war, are going more subtle of a threat..

hehe, gives a good dichotomy of opposing forces.. The Thorian representing Flesh incarnate, while Reapers the Biomechanical perfection...

Perhaps...I suppose I'm, personally, just a but iffy on going too different with lore. The Thorian as a threat makes sense, if Shepard never existed. It would have gotten to live and grow in power and learn from those it pulled under it's sway. But turning Reapers into...well, something more akin to the Borg, than Reapers...eh, I'd say why use the Reapers at all then, and not create some new force?

Vergil1989

I have to agree with Ace on this one.  Reapers are Reapers, there's no changing a broken machine race hellbent on wiping out advanced intelligent life in the galaxy.  As such, I vote we don't include them at all, especially since we already have one enemy and that's the Thorian.  As for the genophage, I'm all for keeping it around, especially if we try to fix it later.

Vergil1989

I just realized something big.  IF we remove the Reapers from having ever existed, which I think is a good idea as I've said before, then the rachni will have never attacked anyone because it was the Reapers during their last invasion that drove the rachni race to attack the galaxy in the first place, which resulted in the salarians uplifting the krogan, which in turn led to the Krogan Rebellions once they had decimated the rachni back into near extinction until Shepard came around and released the Rachni Queen during ME 1.  Granted, the Krogans could have still violently expanded once they discovered space flight, thus resulting in the genophage being used on them regardless, but the rachni COULD still be present and even friendly with the native people of the galaxy since they aren't hostile by nature.  They'd still be able to defend themselves by all means, and their ability to improve upon any ship and technology they come across as can be noted if you helped the Queen back in ME 1, and you run into her messenger during ME 2, an asari that says they fixed up her ship and healed her after pirates almost killed her, would be pretty useful if we ran into trouble along the way, which is very likely given what we're going after lol.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there.  If you really wanted to get creative though La Dame, you could potentially even allow someone to be a more 'humanoid' Rachni.  Chances are someone's done artwork for the bugs standing upright if nothing else.  Just a thought, take it or leave it.  ;D  But the fact remains, the rachni are likely very much alive if the Reapers haven't screwed them over.

Oh, you know I’m down for a reboot. I’ll be dusting off my character from the previous game!

I can either acknowledge that these sentient beings exist or there isn't much knowledge about them - however, there isn't a threat, since that would require much finer detail.

Genophage: I’d vote for having the genophage in. As already pointed out, it leaves the search for a cure – and all the morality issues surrounding it – open to the players.

Reapers: How about a compromise: the Reapers exist, but after the events of Mass Effect 1 (i.e. defeating Sovereign’s scheme to open a relay to dark space), the Reapers are effectively left stranded in deep space?

It’d mean that most of the lore still makes sense, especially regarding Rachni and Geth aggression, but for all intents and purposes the Reapers are no longer a matter of galactic concern. The Battle for the Citadel still took place, of course, but the prevailing opinion is that Sovereign was ‘only’ a Geth dreadnaught (which I think is what happens in ME2 anyway). Just a thought.

Vergil1989

There's still the Alpha Relay from the Arrival DLC and the Collector base behind the Omega-4 Relay we'd need to worry about, but stranding the Reapers permanently isn't a bad idea honestly.  We could easily dispose of the Alpha Relay though if we need to, or have the plan actually work as it was intended originally without the science team sent out there going nuts lol.  That would still leave the batarians pretty upset however, especially if they suspect the Alliance of having blown up the relay as we technically do during said DLC, which regrettably includes a batarian colony world of three hundred thousand innocent people.

Also, hey there Ontan, nice to meet you.

I definitely agree with the Genophage bit, but there is one slight problem with having this take place after ME 1: if Shepard never existed, who defeats Sovereign? All of the Normandy's crew minus Shepard?

I propose that we keep the Reapers as they were before the events of Mass Effect 1: the cybernetic boogeymen that wait outside the galaxy, known in legend but still in hiding as they bide their time for the harvest to get just a little riper.

...Oh, right, I should introduce myself. I'm That One Dingus and I'm new to the site. I was afraid to commit to a game because I won't be able to post every single day, but this bunch seems pretty relaxed about that. Also, welcome to the site Dingus, it's our hope you have a good time among us crazies lol.

But again, having the Reapers trapped forever in dark space seems far better in my opinion.  At least then we don't have to change everything to fit, and while they're still around, they aren't a threat anymore because again, we already have the Thorian and its own minions to worry about.  Besides, the Reapers have been done already, let something else have its turn.

Even if Shepherd never existed, Tali would still find the incriminating evidence linking Nilhus to the Geth attack, and Garrus was already following all the same leads that Shepherd would’ve been. In short, there’s an excellent chance that the Citadel Council would’ve found out about Nilhus’s plot anyway, and just sent a different Spectre in Shepherd’s place. I'll admit it's not a perfect solution... but any major chance to the ME canon is going to have some issues.

Just wanted to drop a line. I am still here! Busy weekend! I will have some free time tomorrow!

Ontan

Consider this to be a draft character sheet: I haven't sent it off to Dame for approval yet, but I wanted to get this posted up so that everybody has a rough idea what my character will be like. There are a few details that I might tinker with, depending on the other characters that pop up in the roster. In particular, his affiliation might change to make him more compatible with the other players, and I might ditch his ship altogether is everyone ends up having a vessel of their own.

Let me know what you all think! He's open to connections (friendly or aggressive) if anybody wants it  ;D

Thaddeus Hackett, Soldier

Player name: Ontan
Name: Thaddeus ‘No Relation’ Hackett
Nickname: (Nil.)
Age:  30
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Race: Human
Homeworld: Arcturus Station (expatriated to Omega)

Appearance: Standing at 82kg and 186cm (181 lbs / 6’1"), Thaddeus certainly isn’t weak, but it’s his speed and intellect that make him dangerous. His auburn hair, articulate manner, and easy confidence lend him an air of refinement, and this suave veneer goes a long way towards counteracting the effects of his calloused hands and wolfish smile when he introduces himself. Despite growing up on a space station, he managed to retain his parents’ accent: something that’s strikingly similar to South African or New Zealand, but not quite either. His blue eyes gleam with cleverness and cruelty in equal measure, eliciting nervousness from shopkeepers and curiosity from fools.

Beneath his high-end equipment and immaculate clothes, Thaddeus’s pale complexion bears a dozen or so scars across his arms and body. They’re all relatively mundane, mostly cuts and gashes from his rough early years in Omega, but nothing major.

Job Title/Occupation: Soldier
Class Specialization:  Arms Master
Affiliation: Omega Syndicates

Weapons:
-M-77 Paladin (Heavy Pistol): Developed for use by undercover agents, these high-powered pistols are easily concealable and murderously accurate, but are crippled by a tiny 3-shot clip. This particular pistol is less than a year old; its original owner would turn in his shallow grave if he knew Thaddeus had souvenired his gun.
-M-76 Revenant (Assault Rifle): Despite being heavy, conspicuous, and difficult to maintain, these custom-made machine guns are the ultimate status symbol for warlords and ambitious mercenaries. With a mammoth clip capacity and blistering rate of fire, the Revenant excels at laying down suppressive fire, and its sheer destructive force is often enough to shatter cover and scatter enemies.
-M-4 Shuriken: Tellingly, this machine pistol’s greatest asset is its price tag: a paltry 50 credits, second hand. Cheap, easy to use, and exceptionally lightweight, the Shuriken is popular with rookies, but it’s usually snubbed by professionals. Thaddeus proves to be the exception, though, and has taken a shining to the mass-produced machine pistols on account of their expendability; he’s currently on his seventh Shuriken.

Powers:
-Chemical Rounds: Popular with pirates, criminals, and mercenaries, these rounds are coated with highly toxic (and often radioactive) compounds that are designed to poison their target and inhibit the effects of first aid, such as medi-gel. The effects are extremely variable, but fever and myasthenia (muscle weakness) usually take hold within minutes.
-Proximity Mines: In addition to the usual timed or remote detonation, these vicious explosives can be set to explode when intruders come within range. Equipped with optical camouflage and emission dampening, they’re notoriously hard to spot in the heat of combat.
-Fortification: A mechanism that temporarily reinforces combat armour with non-Newtonian fluids and protective Foucault currents. Though intended as a defensive measure, the current can be ‘purged’ through the gauntlets to deliver a powerful one-off melee attack.

Personality: Were it not for the small matter of his outstanding court martial, Thaddeus could be the very caricature of an Alliance officer: steady, efficient, and possessing a casual attitude towards violence. However, beneath his calm smile and measured exterior, there lies a smouldering bitterness that’s every bit as raw as the day he was forced into exile. Thaddeus still blames the Alliance military for his fall from grace, and believes that charges against him were little more than a ‘witch hunt’ designed to shift blame onto a scapegoat. The passage of time has only cemented this resentment further. His mistrust of government authority has now spread to include other bureaucracies, not least of all the Citadel Council, but it hasn’t made him blindly anarchistic. Instead, he admires the galaxy’s independent organisations: the corporate conglomerates of Illium, the privately owned Noveria Development Corporation, the lawless operators of the Terminus system, and so forth.

Thaddeus’s moral compass is steered mainly by a professional code, rather than more gallant notions of justice or loyalty. Life in Omega has taught him to be resourceful and adaptable, and he tends to be results-driven, with the ends always justifying the means. His love / hate relationship with Omega is complex to say the least, but on the whole Thaddeus seems resigned to staying there a while longer. He now finds himself at a crossroads, torn between wanting to move on and start a new life, and a powerful yearning for revenge – to hurt the Alliance the same way they hurt him.

Background:
“Too thuggish for engineering corps, too insidious for marines” – so reads an early annotation on Thaddeus’s military records. However unkind the words might’ve been, the author did hit upon a certain truth.

Right from the onset, Thaddeus’s time in the Alliance military was chequered to say the least. He struggled in a number of core subjects, though still managed to graduate from the academy due to his outstanding marks in firearm proficiencies, displacement tactics, and in particular, field modification of weapons. Notwithstanding a number of earlier concerns about his performance, his superiors decided to let it slide and allowed Thaddeus to join the Alliance as a garrison officer. The decision was not without merit: after all, Thaddeus excelled in certain aspects of his work, and his more malignant shortcomings were yet to manifest.

Charged with maintaining a remote Alliance listening post, Thaddeus served the Alliance for five years, though the decision to station him there would prove to be a fateful one: isolated and underfunded as it was, the listening post was rife with corruption and lax oversight, and it wasn’t long before he too was tempted into morally ambiguous territory. He refrained from the usual path of bribery and corruption, but he did abuse his position to fuel a growing obsession for weapon modification, frequently turning to black-market procurement and illegal weapon modification. Remarkably, Thaddeus was always able to cover his tracks, and his unlawful activities would have likely remained undetected were it not for an unfortunate Batarian raid on the outpost. Thaddeus survived the raid, but his career didn’t survive the ensuing Alliance investigation.

When they reviewed footage of the attack, Alliance officials discovered that Thaddeus had deliberately sacrificed a number of his peers during the defence of the outpost. At its least culpable, this comprised of sealing the permitter too early, leaving stragglers to die; at its worst, Thaddeus intentionally fired explosives into a group of friendlies in order to eliminate hostiles who’d closed to melee range. Placed under the microscope of the Alliance disciplinary board, Thaddeus’s other secrets – black market weapons, illegally modified equipment, and so forth – soon came to light. By the time the fiasco became public knowledge, the Alliance already knew where they’d be pointing the finger. A court martial was a forgone conclusion; Thaddeus only escaped incarceration by fleeing to the Terminus system, though his reputation was forever blighted.

Like many runaways to arrive in Omega, Thaddeus had a difficult start, and his desperation soon caused him to fall in with the ‘wrong’ crowd. His first few years were spent hellishly flitting between criminal gangs, trying and usually failing to stay afloat in the tumultuous, violent society of Omega’s slums. His lucky break finally came when he managed to beg a job in the Blue Suns mercenary group, serving as a lowly security guard in one of the slum districts. Almost immediately, Thaddeus’s fortunes started to improve, as the security posting proved to be fertile ground for someone with his background. He rapidly worked his way up through the ranks, putting his Alliance training to new use as he proved himself first as a marksman, then a squad leader, and finally as an armourer. Before long, he was given command of the district’s operations, and was using his experience as an Alliance officer to instil a proper training regime onto the dregs of the mercenary group. His performance record during this time was, by Omega standards, exemplary: Thaddeus’s mixture of professionalism and cold-bloodedness proved to be a far better fit for Terminus mercenaries than the more ethically-constrained Alliance.

Thaddeus has since fulfilled his contract to Blue Suns, and parted on good terms with a generous payout for his services. Rather than allying with one of the major factions, he’s chosen to align himself with Omega’s commercial operators, offering his services to prominent smugglers, businessmen, and other pseudo-legal traders who keep credits flowing in and out of the sector. For all intents and purposes, security firms like his are the closest thing Omega has (or wants) to a police force, ensuring the flow of commerce isn’t disrupted by upstart gangs or, worse yet, interference from foreign powers.

The renegade officer now manages his own boutique security firm. While it’s not overtly advertised, he’s rapidly making a name for himself as a counter-intelligence specialist, and Thaddeus is responsible for thwarting a number of Council-sanctioned investigations and assassinations in the Terminus region. His most recent victory was the detection and ambush of an Alliance Corsair crew trying to infiltrate Omega: armed with his custom-made explosives and toxic ammunition, Thaddeus and his unit of slum irregulars managed to inflict horrendous casualties on the invaders, ultimately routing them from Omega. As far as Thaddeus is concerned, though, this is only the first step on a long road towards revenge.

Ons & Offs: Please see this link for player Ons and Offs.

Connections: ((Pending))

Notes: Thaddeus's vessel is an armed freighter, the Scarab.

Given the constant threat of ambush and treachery, ships that operate in the Terminus system need to be fast enough to get out of trouble, or tough enough to deal with it. Even at a glance, it’s clear the Scarab is one of the latter: built from an armoured transport, every aspect of the ship’s construction is designed to deter attack, from its heavy shields and thick armour plating, to EMP-hardened components and numerous failsafe systems. The Scarab’s weapon systems are moderate by comparison, but this is something of a moot point: given the ship’s superlative defences, any attacker faces the unpleasant prospect of a prolonged slugging match, guaranteeing a hefty amount of return fire. The ship also boasts a remarkably small emission signature, and while it’s a far cry from actual stealth technology, it nevertheless makes it a frustrating target to track. It can house a dozen crewmen in relative comfort, but in recent times the only occupants are a few service droids and Thaddeus himself, who spends much of his time in the on-board machine shop.

That One Dingus

Our host has not approved my concept yet, but in the spirit of "I'll show you mine..."
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Player name: That One Dingus
Name: Designation KR-0G4N
Nickname: Raur
Age: ??? (Months? Years?)
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight (supposedly. The whole "being born from a tank" thing has left him with a very underdeveloped sense of sexuality.)
Race: Krogan
Homeworld: Korlus

Appearance: At seven and a half feet tall and weighing in at 660 pounds, Raur may not be the biggest Krogan that anyone has ever seen, but he's pretty damn close. He prefers to stay in armor so that others so that others don't stare at his pronounced fangs or the spikes that run along the back of his head plate. His skin and plates carry a bluish hue, a combination of the young color patterning of a young Krogan and a rare skin coloration seen only in small portions of the Krogan population. The hump on his back is smaller than normal, signifying either a stressful lifestyle, lack of nutrition, or any combination of the two. He uses his special hammer as a walking staff, marching along with it wherever he goes.

Job Title/Occupation: Soldier
Class Specialization: Krogan Berserker
Affiliation: Blue Suns

Weapons: One M-6 Carnifex Heavy Pistol, "Mjolnir" (see Notes)
Powers: Blood Rage
Personality: Having been created for the sole purpose of killing Okeer's enemies, Raur is very familiar with the concept of killing. When he gets angry, it is very easy for Raur to lose track of what he is doing or where his priorities should be as he struggles to overcome the heightened levels of blood rage that Okeer's experiments typically suffer from. Despite his great strength and ability to take the worst of beatings, Raur feels a great lack of self-worth. The disappointment that Okeer showed in him has shaken Raur to his core and he frequently tries to avoid thinking about his meaningless existence by throwing himself into the thick of fighting. It is only there that he can hope to escape this self-loathing.

In recent times, however, Raur has tried to focus his thoughts into something more than just curses against his enemies. In an effort to clear his mind of immediate restrained aggression, Raur has taken to articulating his thoughts in poetry. The measured nature of his words, just like the careful steps and movements taken in training, allow him to concentrate on the topic at hand. There have been a few precious moments where Raur was able to see pictures of the pyramidal structures that Krogan erected back in ancient times. Such structures fascinate him and he cannot help but wonder why their glory is not replicated today. One day, when Raur has made his peace with himself, he might be tempted to learn masonry and try to rebuild the glory of the old days through stone slabs rather than tombstones.

Like most Krogan, Raur has no patience for those who will not fight or stand up for themselves. However, he has developed a distaste for slavery and blackmail, since that involves individuals who are too weak to accomplish things on their own forcing the strong to do the real work. As a result, Raur sometimes becomes an unlikely champion of the downtrodden. There is no fear of pain or death with Raur; only of failure. Threats against him only serve to make him progressively more angry... and less prone to further discussion.

Background: With the introduction of the Genophage among the Krogan population, Warlord Okeer became disgusted with the sudden doting attitude that Krogan parents adopted for their children. A firm believer in a more classical version of Darwinian evolution, Okeer saw resources being wasted on offspring that would have been left to starve in the old days. As far as he was concerned, only the strongest of his species' children should be allowed to survive. To combat this "perpetuation of weakness" among his people, Okeer did the unthinkable: he began construction of a clone army of so-called "pure" Krogan.

Raur himself was a side project in this overarching scheme. Okeer tried to tap into the older, more primitive strands of Krogan DNA to awaken older phenotypic features.  Raur's teeth were long and sharp, a contrast to the flatter chewing molars of modern Krogan. Furthermore, spikes emerged from the back of his head plate, his elbows, his knees, and along his back below the shoulder hump. Okeer hoped that this would create a stronger, more instinctive soldier that would have a less developed sense of ego than the self-serving Krogan mercenaries he had served with in the past.

While physically Raur was everything Okeer could have hoped for, his mental state was another matter. Okeer needed Krogan that could command others and operate independently, but this one seemed to need near-constant direction from him. Hopes dashed, Okeer was forced to consider the project a failure. While Raur was left to wonder what, exactly, he had done to fail his father so, Okeer got into contact with his contact in the Blue Suns: Jedore. "I've got another reject for you. He'll put up a decent fight for your trainees."

And that he did. Raur proved to be an intimidating adversary for newblood Blue Suns, forgoing firearms in favor of charging straight into enemies and beating them into a bloody pulp. Of course, Raur did not stupidly charge down a straight avenue like some of Okeer's other experiments, but instead used his surroundings to ambush his opponents. The only reason that Raur survived Jedore's gauntlet of contempt, however, is due to the creative vision of a female Turian Centurion named Gayana Vercintex. She had been bouncing around the idea for a special breaching and anti-mech weapon for a while, but couldn't find a potential tester for the weapon.

Taking a gamble, she decided to meet Raur unarmed. Puzzled by her unwillingness to fight, Gayana offered him a deal: come work for the Blue Suns and she would gift him with a mighty weapon. When the Krogan did not respond at first, Gayana dropped the weapon on the ground and left, telling him to "think about it" over her shoulder. Over the next few days, Raur began experimenting with the weapon. By the end of his first week, Raur had not only learned how to swing the weapon effectively, but also how to change the charge of the Mass Effect field within the weapon mid-swing. Satisfied with her external observations, Gayana approached him again and made the same offer. For the short duration of his life, Raur had received nothing else but weapons fire and harsh language from others. In the face of this new gift, Raur accepted her offer.

Of course, it would not do for a potential new asset to simply be killed off by Jedore's draconian training measures. Instead, Gayana arranged transport for Raur from Korlus to the infamous space station Omega. Raur would be put to the test as a member of the peacekeeping racketeer operations that the Blue Suns ran to keep order. While Raur proved absolutely terrifying to anyone who dared to cross the Blue Suns, his hair-trigger temper and antisocial behavior ensured that he did not earn many comrades among the Legionnaire ranks. Further, he began to have gnawing doubts about the honor of extracting money from those unfortunate souls who found themselves stuck on Omega.

His life is at a fork in the road right now. One push, one way or the other, could send him down a very different path...

Ons: (As a Krogan, Raur has different qualities to attractiveness than I do.) Raur is attracted to scales and graceful forms, so his ranking of potential partners goes as follows: Krogan or Drell, than Salarian, then Turian, then anyone else. Since Okeer didn't care about his creations learning anything other than killing, he has not yet had the social pressures to form particular kinks.
Offs: Just look at the O/O's in my Signature to see what makes me (un)happy as a player. I do the same for you, after all!

Connections: Warlord Okeer (father), Gayana Vercintex (their relationship is not clear and very open to being filled in)
Notes: Raur's primary weapon is a specially designed experimental melee weapon. As evidenced in the image below, Krogan have been known to use giant hammers in close combat.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Instead of being just a heavy weight on a stick, this weapon houses a stockpile of eezo within the weapon's head. Electric currents running through the weapon's head allow the mass to fluctuate. The wielder can run a negative current to make the head weigh less and swing it around easier, but can flip the current to positive just before impact and substantially increase the mass of the weapon's head. In short, it is a weapon that smashes through armor and shields like they weren't even there. Of course, using such a weapon requires getting very close to your enemies in a time where Mass Accelerator guns rule warfare. Pile on the need for extensive training and developing a new fighting technique for the weapon and you have something that only a Krogan berserker would be crazy enough to use effectively...

The weapon is named after the hammer wielded by the ancient human god of thunder, which was said to create thunderclaps when it struck. When another Blue Sun likened Raur's weapon as akin to it, after a discussion of the origin of the different names used for mechs, Raur decided that he liked the strange name and christened the weapon in the old god's honor.

I've left some holes in his backstory in case anyone is interested in crossing paths. Perhaps Thaddeus came across the tank-bred during his time with the Blue Suns?

That's only because I wanted you to post it here first before I had people send it to me for a formal approval! :3

I'm going to get up my spectre/commander soon. My life has made a complete 360 with my burlesque practice and new job.

I've been in and out of this thread checking up, but I don't want to spam bump this. SO, I'm going to make an OOC sometime tomorrow when I awake!

As for the plot - Genophage is in and Reapers are in deep space. We can say someone like shepard handled it, Shepard as a character is played a million different ways. I like my Shepard - Female - Paragade - A thing for Thane & Aria T'Loak - so, I wanna keep that canon in my head lol.

But I don't want to drift too far from my original concept/premise.

Ohkay - We have quite a female characters, so I'm desperately looking for more males.

I want this game to be a free for all, but I think establishing a crew/ship is something we can and should do. What is everyones thoughts?

Shall I make a poll?

Damn, I love these two new characters myself.  I'm aright with trying to come up with connections for both of them, although ironically despite his short temper, I get the impression my girl would get along better with Raur than our Hackett knockoff lol.  I love Thaddeus as I said, but to Alura he's almost as bad as a lot of the people she went after as a Huntress so I imagine they'll bump heads if they haven't already.

To answer your question Dame, I'm alright with them having common ground in a ship and crew.  It'd allow us a chance to meet in one place yet allow us the freedom to go where we want.  Kind of like Serenity from Firefly now that I think about it.  Holy crap, that'd actually be awesome if we got a similar group dynamic lol.

Cold Heritage

I misunderstood and thought the procedure was to send the sheet by PM to la dame en noire first. Here is my character proposal.

Michael Harms, Human Soldier
Player name: Cold Heritage
Name: Michael Harms
Nickname: Ultranumb
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Race: Human
Homeworld: Earth

Appearance: Michael wears a T5-V Battlesuit into combat. He is 6'9" tall.

Job Title/Occupation: Soldier
Class Specialization:  Shock Trooper
Affiliation: Systems Alliance

Weapons: Executioner Pistol, M-76 Revenant
Powers: Fortification, Carnage, Armor-Piercing Ammo, Devastator Mode, Multi-Frag Grenade
Personality: Michael is somewhat naive. He is not very worldly and his sheltered, upper-class lifestyle shows in his mannerisms and assumptions. The young man likes to believe the best of others, even though he is frequently proven wrong and disappointed. Some have accused Michael of thinking that universe is better than it is, and that he will get himself killed by assuming that others have better angels to their nature. For his part Michael continues to assume the best despite being shown the worst.

Michael is somewhat passive. He has goals and things he wants to achieve, but he is more inclined to trust the system and has the notion that things will come to him if he follows regulations and acts properly. He knows, intellectually, that people cheat and game the system, but there is disconnect in his mind between that factual knowledge and the reality of those in power 'playing the game.'

The young man is also very shy with non-humans. He only met his first non-human a year ago. He is prone to staring at non-humans, particularly Asari. Unlike others who stare at Asari, however, Michael is ashamed about it.

Background: Michael is the illegitimate son of a very prominent Earth politician. Michael's mother is his father's favourite mistress, and as such she is kept in lavish lifestyle. There were no material wants in Michael's childhood and he was immensely happy as a young boy. He attended private boarding schools and enjoyed trips in summer and winter to resorts around the globe where he was able to enjoy sports appropriate to the season. Sometimes his mother and father were together on those trips. Other times Michael went with Macey, a member of his father's political staff, who acted as a minder and guardian. While Michael was never anything more than an average student, he was an excellent athlete and if he wished it probably could have become a professional and competed at the Olympic level.

Discouraged from politics at a young age - lest his father be discredited by the appearance of an illegitimate son - Michael instead turned his civic virtue towards military service. He joined the Systems Alliance and distinguished himself in physical tests. While the prospect of being a fighter pilot had a certain romantic allure, Michael did not possess the aptitude - though he impressed examiners with his heart and dedication to trying. But all the effort in the world would not turn cotton into silk, and Michael found a grudging home amongst the Systems Alliance Marines. Initially a very poor marksman and possessing an aversion for firing on humanoid target dummies, Michael was initially well liked. But Michael gamely endured hazing rituals intended to toughen him up without snitching or showing weakness, and earned the respect of his peers for never giving up. During a training exercise with full kit Michael broke several ribs but completed the course. It was the worst time ever recorded for that particular course, but Michael insisted on finishing it on his own and under his own power. Even Michael's worst detractors admitted that the kid had guts, and while they may not like him, they no longer had a problem with him.

After completing his training, Michael was attached to a unit that guarded a human colony near the Terminus system. It was not regarded as a choice post: mercenaries, pirates, and slavers frequented that part of space and Michael found himself engaged in combat quite frequently. Michael quickly learned to dread Batarians and the Blood Pack, but there was never a good call to arms. It just hurt the worst to respond to those two. The unit Michael responded to did not always arrive in time to stop the Batarians from making captures, or to stop the Blood Pack from inflicting casualties.

Whatever qualms Michael had about firing on humanoid targets were quickly wiped away. Seeing vorcha and varren let loose on civilians was especially trying for the young soldier, who does not remember a three-day long engagement with an especially large Blood Pack contingent that was responsible for the deaths of over a thousand women and children. Testimony from fellow soldiers indicate that Michael engaged in appalling and gruesome behaviour towards enemy combatants - the liberal use of incendiary weaponry and explosives to inflict cruel and unusual injuries was a recurring theme. Michael might have been discharged but his father's influence and a psych evaluation showing Michael was to all indications mentally fit for duty kept him in the ranks albeit with some cautionary notes on his permanent record. Michael acquired his current weapons loadout in that engagement. Exchanges of favours behind closed doors between his father and Alliance personnel engaged in procurement secured Michael special dispensation to use them.

After that, Michael found himself as a candidate to test out the new T5-V Battlesuit. It was a happy time for Michael, and he enjoyed that work very much. After the successful trials for the suit and Michael's promising use of the technology, his military vocation was changed to a specialist operating the T5-V Battlesuit: namely, a Destroyer. After receiving this new designation, Michael is set for a new assignment.

Ons: Large breasts, androgynous males, player ons
Offs: Game prohibitions, receiving butt-stuff

Connections: (if any)
Notes: Michael has several cybernetic upgrades: Skeletal Lattice, Microfiber Weave, and Lattice Shunting.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

Works for me! Let me know if you had anything specific in mind, otherwise I’m happy to say they worked together on a few (vaguely defined) jobs when they were both in Blue Suns.

Oh, that’s fine – he’s supposed to be a bit of a bad guy. I actually toyed with the idea of him being an outright villain, siding with the Thorian and actively opposing the heroes, but in the end I ditched that idea and settled for the slightly more moderated role of antihero instead. At any rate, I imagine Thaddeus and Alura will be having a few disagreements if and when they meet ;)

I’m with Vergil: I think it’d be good for the characters to have a bit of common ground, provided they still have some latitude to do their own thing now and then. Besides, it’s not like everyone has to get along… the whole Tali / Legion and Jack / Miranda thing proves the point.  My vote is for a communal ship (or two ships, if there are enough players).

Vergil1989

Lol well disagreements can sometimes lead to hot, sweaty, angry but very enjoyable sex, so if that were to happen I'd be all for it.  :P  Jokes aside, I'm looking forward to meeting Thaddeus if again Alura hasn't bumped into him before.  She likely took on a couple of merc groups during her time with the Huntresses before retiring and she went freelance herself, taking on jobs for people she trusts rather than whoever could pay the most credits.  Blue Suns are one of those groups that are borderline 'okay', but they'd still have gotten on the wrong side of the law more times than not.  If any of that appeals to you feel free to send me a message Ontan and I'll happily work out a few details between our people.

Also, kinda glad you didn't side with that giant creepy ass plant lol.

After that, I'm probably going to stop female submissions. We really need to get some diversity in here! We need quarians, salarians, etc. In fact - I should probably just...hmm

la dame en noir,

I know I mentioned this on the OOC..but here's Shirala back for more.

If you're not accepting female characters anymore that's cool but since she's already been in the world, I thought I'd throw her into the mix.

Player name:
orderNchaos
Name: Shirala L'Ark
Nickname: Shiri, rebekha
Age: 250
Gender: Physically Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Race: Asari,
Homeworld: Thessia

Appearance: Shirala is tall for your typical Asari standing at 1.90 m.  Her well built and maintained body has it's curves but each is accented by very taught and powerful lean muscles.  Shirala can usually be found wearing light armor to give her the agility and speed that she needs to stay one step ahead of any opponent.

Job Title/Occupation: Commando/Bounty Hunter
Class Specialization:  Vanguard/Nemesis [/url])
Affiliation: Independent
Weapons: N7 Eagle
Powers: Throw, Lift, Warp, Barrier
Personality: Shirala's recent past has colored her view of the world fairly darkly, giving her a rather pessimistic view on the nature of humanoids.  She still has a heart and works to find the right path, but she's less likely to step out to help in a situation that doesn't serve her interests.  While Shirala will never act in a evil or morally questionable way towards innocents, she is likely to be less willing to act in defense of those she views to have compromised their morals.

Background:
Shirala was born in the Benazi region of Atolia, an Asari Republics colony in the Antumbra Reach. She sought huntress training during her early Maiden years and was accepted into Benazi's training regime. She and her fellow huntress trainees were taught combat, stealth, coordination, analysis and survival in numerous locations on Atolia, including a thirteen-month isolation survival exercise on the Lotav Tundra in the planet's northern polar expanse. After the bulk of her training was complete, she was named by her fellow trainees as a commando candidate. Her instructors confirmed the recommendation, and she undertook an additional eight years of training as one of the Benazi select, under the personal guidance of Matriarch Kasgara.

Shirala served her first thirty year contract in Ulee's Commandos with distinction, with commendations for courage under fire, being wounded in the course of duty and peaking with a berth aboard the Serrician dreadnought Triumph of Virtue. Upon finishing her contract, Nassa immediately re-enlisted for another thirty years.  Ten years into her second contract, her Commando unit was assigned to the border colony of Eletania, on the edge of Republic space, the suspected base of an Asari pirate ring known for slaving raids on alien worlds.  With contradicting orders from their command, Shirala's unit engaged the pirates, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy and forcing them to withdraw. While the Commandos pursued the pirates, in the ensuing firefight her squad was decimated and Shirala was left for dead.

Shirala was found a week later by an Eclipse recon party who was scouting the planet for resources.  Shell shocked from losing her entire unit and being left by the military as a casualty, Shirala eventually signed on with Eclipse, her impressive credentials secured a junior officer's berth in the Eclipse Sisterhood.  Shirala's first few years as a mercenary proved an eye-opening experience. While many contracts proved little different to her service in the Commandos (albeit with much higher manpower and a stricter military hierarchy), her contracts to Omega and the colonies of Orige Two and Mayaniss involved committing war crimes against both combatant and civilian populations. Still a Commando at heart, Shirala couldn't help bring herself to engage in such acts, undergoing a crisis of faith with both herself and her Siarist upbringing.

The turning point was her company's deployment to the world of New Hong Kong in the Nemean Abyss as part of a large-scale attack on a warlord known as One-Eyed Eluam. Assigned to the spearhead of the assault, Shirala came under attack from child soldiers, suicide bombers, hidden explosives and radioactive ammunition. The worst came just as Shirala and her unit secured the warlord. The batarian set off a chemical weapons shell inside his own command centre while he made his escape, incapacitating the Eclipse force.

When her unit was returned to their headquarters, Shirala made off with a Mantis Gunship and fought her way to freedom from Eclipse.  She spent the next several years using her skills to track down Eclipse members who had taken part in the morally questionable acts.  In that time she's established a reputation as a Commando and a Bounty Hunter.

Ons: Being Pansexual, Shirala is open to just about anything.  Situation dependent and her mood will drive what she is and isn't up for.
Offs:  Scat, gore, blood, physical damage,

Connections: (if any)
Notes:   Shirala's ship the Kreone is a smaller Corvette which has been outfitted for fast in and out operations.  Shirala has spent the last three years since she aquired it from a target she was paid to capture refitting it for small unit special commando insertions.  Using Asari and Taurian engineering advancements in stealth technology, she's updated the ship to essentially disappear in space.  The light armaments are powerful enough to destroy small fighters and interceptors and disable medium size transports.

LSWSjr

Considering this game's current gender balance, I've swapped to a male character...

Player name: LSWSjr
Name: Bruce Tritton
Nickname: Brickhouse
Age: Twenty Four
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Race: Human
Homeworld: Earth [Australia]

Appearance: Standing at 6'5" with a strong and stocky build encased in black and blue Alliance armour.

Job Title/Occupation: Sentinel
Class Specialization: Bastion
Affiliation: Systems Alliance

Weapons: M-12 Locust, M-97 Viper
Powers: Biotic Sphere, Overload, Snap Freeze, Warp

Personality: Bruce is as clearly divided by his combat and off-duty personas as night and day: in battle, the burly soldier becomes completely serious, aggressive and goal orientated, moving from point to point, eliminating targets without hesitation and quickly silencing any foolishness with a death stare or harsh reprimand, as practical; and off-mission, the Aussie becomes a good natured joker who is always ready to kick back or party hard, as the mood of the group suggests.  Additionally, he loves a good argument or fight, as long as there's no long term harm to the participants or their relationships.

Privately, Bruce is loyal and supportive of his friends, lovers and comrades as long as they pay him the same courtesy and, whilst not one to hold grudges, that battle-worn mask is often brought up with all those who've betrayed him or themselves by their actions and he has not hesitated to kill former associates when the worst situations have warranted it.  As a lover, his two personas blend into an aggressively passionate, yet considerate, partner with an experienced touch.

Background: Growing up on his grandfather's cattle farm on the eastern coast of Australia, Bruce's childhood was spent herding, milking and eventually butchering bovines between all the other day to day maintenance the property required, giving him an old-fashioned appreciation for hard work, firearms and caring for others (be they man or beast).

Bruce's mother had died shortly after his birth due to complications from eezo exposure and unsurprisingly her former employer (and family friend) Henry Lawson would go on to identify the boy's potential for developing biotic abilities and later pay for his L3 implant, although Grandpa Tritton signed his grandson into an Alliance training program rather than accept any more 'favours' from Mr. Lawson.

Safely in the hands of the Systems Alliance, Bruce underwent intensive biotic and combat training to serve in the defence of humanity's continued expansions beyond the Sol system.  The young biotic would also prove a skilled ranger, combat engineer and tactician, which only lead to the top pick of deployments over the years following and currently has him investigating the rash of unexplained behaviour from a number of human colonies.

Ons: Aggressive or (consentually) resistant partners, Sex whilst sweaty/dirty
Offs: Bestiality, Necrophilia, Pedophilia, Vore

Connections: Henry Lawson [Family friend, Former benefactor]
Notes: None currently

Cheers

Florence

Well, I have a Mass Effect character I've never been able to use enough, so if there's room and she'd be okay, I could work up a sheet.

The character I have in mind is an ex-Cerberus Phantom. Class wise, I guess that would make her a Vanguard.

So basically she'd be biotic armed with a pistol and a monomolecular sword. Human, obviously.

As for what she's doing now, I've been playing around with a few ideas for a new version of this character. Maybe a private detective. Probably trying to keep beneath Cerberus' radar, since they're probably not fond of, ya know, 'ex' members.
O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.

greypsychman

I am interested. Here is my character.

Player name: Aerik Anderson

Nickname: “Andy”
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Race: Human,
Homeworld: Beckenstein Colony

Appearance: http://bectonliterary.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/jayne_cobb_full_body.jpg
                http://serenity.popapostle.com/images/episodes/Our-Mrs-Reynolds/Vera.JPG

Aerik stands 6’2” inches tall and weighs 232 pounds.  He has an athletic build and is still in very good shape.  Aerik has twinkling blue eyes, light brown hair, and sports a Van Dyke beard.  He has a diagonal scar about 5 inches long on his abdomen from his first combat wound and a 2 inch long scar on his right shoulder from another combat wound.

Job Title/Occupation: Systems Alliance Officer
Class Specialization: Soldier and Special Operations Pilot
Weapons: M-6 Carnifex Pistol
                      M 96 Mattock Assault Rifle
Powers: none
Personality:
Aerik places honor, duty, and protecting those unable to protect themselves as his code of conduct.  Some of his best qualities are his ability to remain fairly impartial and see both sides of an issue (which helps in his diplomacy skills), his loyalty to friends (he will be there when they call), and happy go lucky friendly attitude once you get to know him.  Aerik loves a good “hearty” meal and having more than his share of a good ale to drink.  He likes athletic activities, especially team sports.  He also enjoys reading military history and mythology in his spare time.
Probably his worst qualities are his self-doubt (always feeling he could have done something better) and insecurity around attractive women.  Aerik rarely feels happiness in his successes because of his self-doubt. Generally he can’t talk to attractive women he is not acquainted with unless he has a couple of alcoholic drinks to loosen his inhibitions.  Aerik is also naïve and believes in and tries to always see the best in people.

Background:
Aerik was born on the Beckenstein Colony.  His parents were middle class and he had two significantly older sisters (11 and 9 years older).  Aerik was not very close to his sisters because they were married and had their own families by the time he was in his middle teens.  Aerik is a rather intelligent person (which was noticed while he was in school).  However, due to his middle class status, neither he nor his parents could afford higher education.  So, Aerik enlisted in the Systems Alliance Navy with the hope of getting more education after his tour of duty was over.  While in the basic training program, his superiors noticed his intellectual ability and made sure Aerik was sent to Officer Candidate School (OCS) immediately upon completing his 3 months of initial training.
So then, after Aerik completed his Officer Training, he went to Flight Training School. He specialized in piloting the A-61 Mantis Gunship. His initial assignment was to a Mantis Flight assigned to the Dreadnought SSV Mt. Fuji. He served well as a junior officer, Second Lieutenant, and due to his ability to think on his feet, develop unorthodox tactics and maneuvers, earned him an assignment to the Marine 103rd Division (a Special Operations Division). When Aerik received that assignment, he was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant.
Aerik served in an Aerial Support Brigade in the 103rd. Aerik’s Mantis was a “Slick” or basic transport vehicle with only a heavy machine gun for defense. That was to save weight for transporting troops. In the Aerial Support Brigade, there were also Mantis Gunships that had the machine gun and rocket mounts that on a rare occasion he was able to pilot when that unit was shorthanded. Aerik’s courage and daring, always going into dangerous situations to pick up or drop off marines, earned him the respect of the enlisted ground troops and some jealousy from other pilots. On one particular mission, Aerik went into a landing zone that was under such heavy fire, his commander refused to go into it. Aerik not only made one trip in but two! On the first trip in, Aerik was wounded in the right shoulder. Even with his wound, Aerik went in again. On the way out with the last batch of survivors, Aerik was wounded in the abdomen as his Mantis took more damage.
Because Aerik disobeyed a superior officer, the Alliance Navy placed a black mark in his file that ensured would never be promoted about his current rank, First Lieutenant.  However, because so many had witnessed his brave actions they couldn’t discipline him anymore severely.  Because of his valor, Aerik earned a Star of Terra Medal, in addition to a wound badge.

Ons: Anything except the Offs

Darth Dredd

Hey all, if you are still accepting new characters I'm very interested in joining. I've been away from the Elliquy scene for a while but I'm looking to get back in a big way and I absolutely love all things Mass Effect and would love to hop in. I can write up an app pretty quickly, I'd just need to decide between making a Human with cybernetics (sort of like Kai Leng *Shakes fist at the air*) or a Turian. Either way, he would be male and an Infiltrator, just like my Shep :D

Yes! I'm still accepting! I disappeared for a bit because of some business!

I haven't yet but I'm seriously tempted to after watching that thing. I'd like to get my PC to a point where I could play it without issues instead of getting a console version but I'll do that if I have to XD

Florence

Sorry for not having my character done, got distracted by a lot of things.

I'm torn on Andromeda, but I'm really hoping its good.

The end of 3 kind of put me off. I still love the games, of course, but I'm a little more wary of new stuff going forward.

I guess I'd say I could describe my expectations for Andromeda right now as "cautiously optimistic."
O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.

Lustful Bride

Player name Lustful Bride
Name: Caroline Kenneth Marshal
Nicknames: Maniac. Carol
Age: 24
Sexuality:Bisexual
Race: Human
Gender: Female.
Homeworld: Mars.
Appearance: Caroline is a short, stocky blonde haired green eyed woman. At 5’0’’ she has done her best to build up muscle to be able to beatdown anyone who tries to use their size to their advantage.

Job Title/Occupation: Freighter Pilot.
Class Specialization:  Engineer.
Affiliation: Alliance, but at times can agree with Cerberus.

Weapons: M9-Tempest

Powers: Sabotage.

Personality: Caroline always had abit of a stubborn streak even as a child. She had a bad habit of getting into fights quite easily and often, which she usually ended up losing. It didn't help that the girl seemed born with a naturally short fuse that she carries even to this day, at times beating her ships with her tools if nothing works.

Due to her size she has a faint napoleon complex, instantly getting angry when people mock her for her size.

Her upbringing and parent's political stance have caused her to believe somewhat in Human superiority but not exactly in Human dominance. She would love to see humans running the show but not want the other races of the galaxy wiped out, especially not the Asari.

She may try but she doesn’t always doesn't think through her actions and trusts her own skills and intuition just alittle too much. More than once nearly causing a few collisions when piloting her freighters, earning  her the constant moniker "maniac'.

Her temper problem has made it difficult for her to either make or keep friends. As such, the few that manage to be her friends will have her loyalty for life.

Background: Caroline was raised on the Alliance world of Mars, growing up safe and sound right next to the cradle world of Humanity. She had a good education and a firm hand to guide her and keep her out of trouble (most of the time) thanks to her mother who did her best to raise Caroline while her father was away serving in the alliance. It might be due to the lack of a strong secondary figure in her life that Caroline developed an attitude problem, or perhaps it was always with her?

It was partially due to her parent’s way of raising her, their belief in Human superiority over other races in galaxy stuck with her, even if she wasn't absolutely extreme in her views.

Caroline had multiple disciplinary problems in school, almost seeming to search out a fight, even if she felt bad about it later. It led her school grades to be less than stellar, ruining her chances of getting a job that didn't require a significant amount of manual labor. But as Caroline went about fixing up ships that were docked on Mars, she found herself really enjoying the job, getting out her aggression in a more productive way. But it wasn't enough to just fix ships, she wanted to be able to fly them. Maybe even own one of her own someday.

Caroline wasn't the kind of girl to let anything get in her way, so for two years Caroline studied and worked, saving every last credit that she could scrounge up, even pulling multiple shifts and repeatedly cramming for her test. Eventually she managed to get enough skill and studying done to get a license to pilot a freighter and the next week she had booked a contract with a shipping company and for 6 months has been moving with her crew from planet to planet delivering, machinery, food, ore, anything that they were paid to carry around.

As of late though, Caroline has been noticing that some of the crew has been acting oddly, not themselves. But she just passed it off as a need for some shore leave, which they would thankfully be getting soon after one more delivery on Noveria.

Ons: Asari Matriarchs, especially Milfs. Tying others up. Spanking (either way) just cuddling after sex. She’d be lying if she said males of the Krogan and Turian Race didn't fascinate her. Having her hair pulled. Her subscription to Fornax, especially their interspecies editions. Having her ego pleased and told how great she is.

Offs: People who think she is easy. Having her species belittled even if it’s meant to be kinky. Anything messy like food play or other such things that require a lot of cleanup. Being tied up.

Connections: Father: Retired Alliance Marine Staff Sargent. (not many strings to pull there)

Let me know if I need to fix up my character abit. :P

If any C sec characters need a way to start off I am more than happy having Caroline being arrested for murdering her crew. (It could have been they were all infected.)

I am almost expecting this game to have a near Lovecraftian Lite feel with its evil Thorian cults and the Thorian slowly infecting the minds of more and more people, adding them into the hivemind to make itself their eternal God. Only unlike most lovecraft stories, we have a chance to save the galaxy :)

Florence

sorry, I'll try to get my character done soon.

right now I'm too... garbage.

I guess I shouldn't bring politics here, but lets just say I haven't slept and I've been nursing a bottle of vodka all night.

Darth Dredd

I won't bring it here fully either, but I will say I understand entirely. Though I was at work all night so I didn't have alcohol nor really anything of comfort, to be fair XD

Seirre

Player name:
Seirre
Name: Shien'Sar vas Xaavo
Nickname: Shien
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Strait
Race: Quarian
Homeworld: Spacer

Appearance: Shien is fairly typical for his race, with pale almost blue/gray skin and luminescent eyes.  Dark hair frames a face that seems more suited to laughter than frowns.  All this is assuming that he is seen without his environmental suit.

Job Title/Occupation: Engineer
Class Specialization: Mechanic
Affiliation: Freelance as he prefers to send resources and new tech to the Quarian Fleet

Weapons: Arc Pistol and Phaeston Assault Rifle
Powers: Drone, Tactical Scan, Arc Grenade, Cryo rounds

Personality: Shien is a loner by trade, not necessarily by choice.  Working deep within ship systems doesn't always lend itself to a large social circle.  However when he is not working on keeping a ship running in top shape, he can be found gazing out the nearest viewport at the galaxy.  He has a deep love of seeing new places at his own pace which explains his choice of being a freelancer, rather than staying with the Quarian Fleet.

If you were to engage him in conversation, you would find that he is often soft spoken.  This is not out of shyness but rather that he seems to be contemplating his words before he says them.  Further experience with him would lead one to discover that he has an easy sense of humor, and he loves bad jokes.  This can lead him to say things that he shouldn't as he repeats the jokes that strike him as exceptionally humorous.

Background: Shien was born aboard one of the many Quarian vessels within the fleet cluster.  A curious youth, he was always taking things apart and putting them back together...more or less.  This only became more pronounced as he became older.  This lead to him learning about advanced ship systems and their inner workings.  He spent many hours engrossed in his work and studies.

Eventually the time came for Shien to go on pilgrimage.  It was with trepidation at first, but as he traveled through different systems, he grew to love the thrill and excitement of seeing new places and different stars.  He eventually returned to the Migrant Fleet, with new tech in tow.  He chose to become an honorary member of the Xaavo, a moderately sized merchant vessel.  He spent some time there working with the engineering crew.  Eventually he came to yearn for the joy of discovery.  He left the Xaavo voluntarily and acts as a resource gatherer for his brethren.

Shien has become something of a nomad and is an oddity amongst his species.  Not content to accept the limitations of his race, he spends time out of his suit.  Initially this lead to him being sick all the time, however it seems to have worked in his favor as he has built up something of an immune system.  This hasn't kept him from becoming sick very often, but it has made it so that he is less prone than one would expect for his race.

Ons: Variety.  Shien is curious by nature and is fairly open to suggestion.
Offs: Bathroom play and gore are not really his thing, especially given the delicate nature of Quarian immune systems.

Connections: No notable connections.
Notes: His drone is combat capable, however it sees more use as an extra set of eyes and other service functions relevant to his work.
Sorry there isn't a ton of detail for this character.  I am just getting into Mass Effect and don't really know all the nuances of lore.
Brother Wolf Guides my journey.  He teaches me patience and wisdom.  He protects me from fear and doubt.  He keeps my heart safe from darkness.

Here's the most recent version of Grant Clark. If anyone has thoughts on him I'm open to hearing them!  :D

Player name: Xunthrae
Name: Grant Clark
Nickname: Alias: Terry Stone - Screen Name: LTC Eezo
Age:  25
Gender: Male
Sexuality:Homosexual
Race: Human
Homeworld: Anhur

Appearance: 6'2, short hair black hair

Job Title/Occupation: Hacker For Hire
Class Specialization: Engineer
Affiliation: Freelance

Weapons: Raikou IV pistol, Hacked and Augmented Omnitool
Powers: Biotic Potential, No Implant or Training
Personality: Grant is playful, confident and irreverent at times. He looks out for himself first, Friends and family second, and everyone else can get spaced.  He enjoys the thrill of a true challenge and on occasion gets into a bit more than he can handle.
Background: Grant was born on earth, and only has a few memories of the packed cities before his family moved to Anhur Colony in the Terminus Systems. Grant was 6 when left. He didn't understand why they left, but he was brought along nonetheless. His family never made it to the Anhur colony. On the way their transport vessel was attacked by Blood Pack mercenaries. His parents hid him beneath one of the floor grates, only just big enough for the young Grant to squeeze into.

He was trapped on that ship for several weeks. He spent much of that time crying out for his parents and scavenging for food. He wandered much of the ship and found a few data pads that were missed in the raid. From there he learned how to power a distress beacon. It wasn't long after that a passing ship picked him up. The (I can leave open to ship to see if any players wants to have helped or if not I can just make one up) brought him the rest of the way to Anhur, leaving him with the spaceport security. He stayed there, but no family came to claim him. He was passed into the system and placed with foster families.

He had a ravenous mind, he was constantly on the search for how things worked. He found technology fascinating and instead of paying attention to the families he was with he dove into the world of technology and code. He was transferred often due to behavioral problems. He learned to rely on himself at a young age. He was 15 when he decided he didn't want to deal with anyone lording over him, and so he dropped out of school and ran from the system.

He stashed away a stockpile of computers, VI programs, and food in a small abandoned  apartment on Anhur. There he built a small presence on the extranet. Instead of hacking school terminals and his omnitool, he began hacking companies and seeding worms to bring in just enough money to live off of. As he got better he started getting more ambitious.

He started to build an online presence, collecting info, and stealing some credits digitally to keep himself funded. He created his screen name: LTC Eezo, after the little bits of biotic power he exhibited in his late teens, and after his father. He never met the man, but his mother said he was a Lieutenant Colonel with the Alliance. He spent the next 8 years on his own, spending most of his time hacking, working on custom projects or going to clubs with money he stole or hacked for.

The Anhur Rebellion, which outlawed slavery throughout the system, created a great deal of chaos. The chaos was a perfect opportunity for Grant to hack ambitiously. Each side would blame the other if the attack was detected. The most notable prize for his hacks was an experimental computer core, created by Apex Omnitools. He diverted it from a Na'hesit holding facility to a drop spot he was going to stop using.

With his new prize he found himself searching engineering databases and hacking into corporate labs to figure out how it worked. But, in the mean time, he needed funding.  So lately he's been working for a middle man who says he works for some 'powerful people.' Grant doesn't really care as long as he gets paid. His main goals are to figure out exactly how to get his experimental core working or reverse engineered, and to find a score that could set him up for life.

Ons: Aggressive and dominant partners, Men who are taller than him
Offs: Timidity, Cruelty for its own sake

Connections: (if any)
Notes: Recently started working anonymously for what he assumes to be a Human corporation on Anhur.

Greetings and salutations! Stumbled upon this here thread and am quite tempted to join and make a Krogan, because Krogan are master race. I assume we still post our character sheets in here, yes? It'll probably take me a while to iron out some details so i just want to be doubly sure i didn't miss something since i -did- kind of skim through some of the pages.

#93
Player name: GamesWithDragon
Name: Urdnot Gronn
Nickname: Battering Ram
Age:  295
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Race: Krogan
Homeworld: Tuchanka

Appearance: 7'4, and is surprisingly bulky even for a Krogan.

Job Title/Occupation: Personal Security/Bodyguard
Class Specialization:  Vanguard
Affiliation: Clan Urdnot. Also has "Unoffical" ties with the Blood Pack

Weapons: M-76 Revenant, Executioner Pistol
Powers: Biotic Charge, Shockwave, Pull.
Personality: Gronn is a somewhat atypical example of his species. Where the usual Krogan is stubborn, brutish, shoot-first-ask-questions-later, Gronn is instead level-headed, calm under fire, even supportive of others if he feels he can. Gronn knows well the long standing stereotyping of his kind and is trying his damnedest to show that isn't like the average Krogan, that he can be more then just a killing machine.

Sadly, he is not above the occansional outburst of anger, blood rage, or even just a simple Krogan headbutt to settle a dispute. If he ever happens to blow up on someone he's on friendly terms with, he will often apologize profusly after the fact. Assuming he didn't knock them unconscious.

Background: Gronn, like virtually every other Krogan, was born on Tuchanka. He was raised by the female clan amidst the rubble and dust of his war ravaged homeworld, they wanted to teach him to be better then his peers, to not only solve his problems with brute force, but too use his brain and find ways to fix situations in ways other then simply breaking them. But when he was sent to the males for training, they saw him as weak and pathetic. And did their best to drill it into his skull that his was a race of warriors, to conquer and take what was his by force. These conflicting ways shaped him into the male he is today. A calm individual willing to talk things out, but ready and able to put his foot down on someones skull if necessary.

Once he was old enough to take his Rite of Passage and choose which clan he would pledge allegience to. He knew right from the start who he would choose. Clan Urdnot. It was one of the largest clans on world, and he hoped that if he could ever plant himself into a position of power within the clan, he could slowly try to change the ways of his people, to be great once again as they were in years past, but not simply as tyrants to rule the galaxy.

As he faced down Clan Urdnots Rite of Passage, a test where he would combat waves of local fauna, it was here that he learned something else about himself. His ability to use Biotics. When the final foe of his Rite arrived, the mighty Thesher Maw, it had taken him by surprise and nearly devoured him whole, until he delivered a biotic fuled punch to its face, causing it to drop him as it reeled back and seemingly retreated.

When he returned victorious, he was applauded by his new clanmates for his ability, and was well on his way to becoming a battlemaster. He happily followed his leaders orders, fighting where he was told and such things, and only on occasion mouthing off to his betters. Once he had saved up enough credits, he purchased a ship offworld and sought about buying an amp to increase his biotic potential. But in order to do this, he had to take work as a merc in order to pay the bills. Thankfully there were plenty of people willing to shell out top creds to have a personal Krogan bodyguard.

After years of this, killing for blood money, using it for his next meal and saving up for the amp, he had wound up creating a sort of 'partnership' with the infamous Blood Pack. On occasion they would hire him for a job that had an exeptionally good payout at the cost of being extremely dangerous. While he never officialy joined their ranks, he did earn a moderate amount of trust with them, even if the rest of the galaxy viewed them as bloodthirsty murderes. Even if they were right.

Ons: Fights for dominance with a female he considers strong, and dominating those he doesn't (or perhaps those that enjoy it?). He'd be lying if he said he didn't find Asari and Human females attractive. Being complimented about his body. Is otherwise open to suggestion.
Offs: Anything involving bathroom stuff. Bondage. Buttstuff.

Connections: Contacts within the Blood Pack.
Notes: Nothing off the top of my head...
Also apologize if my personality and background bit are odd in anyway, i tend to create my characters backstory as i play them rather then during the concept stage.
