Weird... You should be able to open the link. At any rate, she is a college of creation bard changeling. Basically her entire character design is sculpt and mold the rubber world to her whims.

  The usual sort of adventuring sounds nice, Angie, but so might a Waterdeep inspired story?  A great metropolis full of intrigue, commerce, and art, but with a legendary dungeon nearby?

Er, I don't mean to ruin your idea Muse but speaking of lighting, shouldn't we all have lightning resistance or even immunity since we are all made of rubber? ???

But a cleric of Zeus could still use thunder damage but I don't know if you wanted to go lightning just because. Maybe it could be divine lightning, radiant?, just as monks can do damage with their unarmed attacks?

There are Two Subclasses for Monks that allow them to change their damage die. One is Unearthed Arcana currently, the other is from Keith Bakers (creator of Ebberon) book Exploring Ebberon.

The unearthed is "The Way of the Dragon Ascendant." and they get an ability to change their unarmed to elemental damage

Keith bakers is "The Path of the Living weapon" that has an ability to change damage type between Slashing/Bludgeoning/Peircing. Owing to the fact that by acquiring mastery of the body you can alter it to do such things. Thier are 4 styles within it, each based off one of the special races of Ebberon.

The forged heart calls to the power of the warforged, solid and powerful

Nightmare Shroud based of the kalashatar, a psionic race linked to the Quari, phychic damage for this one.

The Travelers blade based on the changlings, this extends your reach by 5..with the option to increase it up to 25 feet for the turn with ki points.

The weretouched based off shifters, growing claws, teeth, tapping into animal ferocity.

I was going to go Travlers blade. However if Angie does not wish for unearthed arcana or what is classified as third party(but barely) then I can go Fighter Rune knight just as easily.

In terms of science, rubber stops electricity because it slows and stops the electrons moving through it. But since most forms of lightning damage are magic based, maybe the magical lightning interacts with whatever magic is animating all the creatures of this world and causes damage to that instead and...

You know what, this is getting complicated. Lightning still hurts us because *I SAY SO*. Because lightning is fuckin' cool.

Also I was already kind of planning on monks being able to do normal damage regardless of unarmed strikes being bludgeoning, I figured most orders would change up their preferred martial arts to focus on attacks that actually function on rubber bodies.

As far as third party ish stuff goes, as someone who has enjoyed several 3rd party materials before and with the understanding that we're going for fun instead of purely munchkinized optimization, I have no limits regarding any sort of 3rd party or unofficial material, I only ask that you provide links to what you're using so I can see it and at least determine if it's on the same level as what other people are using. The true issue I have with 3rd party stuff is things that lead to one character being able to do everything, and not allowing me the chance to allow all of you to shine in the ways you intend your character to shine (puns based on the shininess of rubber were not intended). Usually as long as you're not beating everyone at their own games, I'm okay with it, and the beauty of 5th edition is that most content goes with that sort of philosophy, of having one, maybe two things that a subclass shines in and allowing everyone to form a cohesive whole.

So that's my DM proclamations for the day. Sound good? Sounds good.

  Wanted to let everyone know that i sent a cleric application to Angie in PMs and she seems to approve. 

  If anyone has a good picture for a gold dragonborn (male) I'd appreciate it if you slipped them my way. 

In case there's a comedic theme anyone wants to play off of: 
--Torin is a himbo.  Not very smart, and tends to solve problems with brute force, but a heart of gold.
--Size play.  Torin is 6'9" and extremely strong.  Well endowed even for his size, he can give his rubber lovers a nice stretch.  He's also good for tall person slapstick.  Banging his head on roofs, getting stuck in doorways.  :)
--Torin was klutzy as a kid, but now he's average in dexterity.  I'd like some opinions on what to do with that?  Does he get painfully gentle with people and things he's afraid to break?  Or did he never really learn his lesson and tends to give people he hugs the abdominal snowman squeeze bugs bunny always suffered?
